Ladies and Gentlemen: as we welcome the coming of winter, The Great Ishgardian Frostfaire is set to make its grand return for another year.  The Higuri Regalia has graciously offered their assistance to their beloved @bandeepakshee allies and Anamnesis Eorzea to assist in this year's event.

The occasion itself consists of two events: the Starlight Gala, which will occur on the 16th, and the Frostfaire proper, on the following eve (17 December).  Both events will commence in Empyrean’s 15th Ward on the Balmung World at 8PM Eastern, and will continue on to 11PM.

A charity raffle shall be ongoing throughout the weekend, with the drawing occurring on the last day. (NOTE: Donations are welcome and appreciated, but never mandatory.)  First place prize being a commissioned piece from an artist!  2nd place winners will have a choice between an Alkonost or Wondrous Lanner Whistle; 3rd place winners will have a choice between a Pterrosquirrel or Sewer Skink.

We wholeheartedly invite any and all to attend and join in a weekend of fellowship and welcoming the arrival of Winter, as well as the new year!

The Frostfaire is Back!

The Republic of Ishgard’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has teamed up with the almsgiving Knights of Saint Nymeia to pair two Starlight traditions! The Great Ishgardian Frostfaire meets the Starlight Joust in an entire day of festive Ishgardian delight!

First meet outside the Fury’s Gate in Central Coerthas to take in the spectacle of brave jousters tilting at the famed Starlight Crown in honor of their favorite charity! And when the joust is complete join businesses and entertainers like Bandee Pakshee in the Pillars for an evening of Starlight shopping and showstopping festive music provided courtesy of Pakshee, House Blanchimont Chamber Orchestra and more!

Journal Entry 1

It has been a long time since I have touched this dusty old book. I’m not sure why I got out of the habit of recording my thoughts, but I did. There is a sort of therapeutic effect to penning these pages so I feel that perhaps it is time for me to once more record things.

Hannah is back, that voice of whatever sort in my head. When my connection to the Avenging Star had vanished I had thought she had gone too, but once more she speaks to me. I read those last few words and I myself question my sanity. Regardless, I hear her, dream of her, and she is directing me north. I am not sure what I will find since she is being so damn secretive about things, maybe that is a ghost…void…whatever she is sort of thing. Anyroad, I will be heading to in the direction of her urging soon for answers of some sort. Well here’s to hoping I’m not bat shit crazy.

My last few moons have been spent in the Sagolii, and it has been a good time. It was nice to once more push myself, to once again hone my body to what it should be. I will admit that twice I went north though, once to visit the tavern of the Dragon’s Crown and the other time to visit the Bandee Pakshee. It was very odd to go to a pillow house, I have not been to one since I was a young recruit. But it was not pleasures of the flesh that I went to enjoy, instead it was music and I was not disappointed. A young lady, that I have seen perform before, Leanne Delphium, was there and as always her performance was one to remember. The visit to the Dragon’s Crown was just as enjoyable, with a bustling tavern, interesting people around and good drink to be had. I had been forced to sit at a table in the middle of the room, the only available one at the time, and I was able to overhear a very interesting conversation regarding the panties of a lovely miqo’te woman with dark purple hair. There seemed to be a good portion of the conversation dedicated to the question as to if her panties made a good shinobi mask. Interestingly enough, I have seen this purple hair miqo’te and her companion the panty shinobi , a raen I think, at the Bandee Pakshee. They seem to draw a crowd where they go, and I hope that they will continue to enjoy life as it comes. I sound like an old man, maybe I am becoming one.

I should go try and catch up with Anstarra and Nihka before I go running off to who knows where. I hope the issues regarding Anstarra’s sept have been finished. I simply want for her to be happy, that has been a constant desire I have had since I met her long ago.

Bah, I’ll end it here. No use in writing a novel with my first entry. Time to go find a pot of coffee to dunk my head into.

Pg. 17 - Waves of Freedom

One of the many facets of fashion is the seamless integration of multiple aesthetics to create unique works of art.  This next addition to the Bandee Pakshee clothing line does just that thanks to the Madame Herself's double: Zana Akhabila - aka "Blue Rommie".  Many painstaking sessions of modeling and brainstorming was conducted for this particular item to see completion, but it was definitely worth it in the end!

This fusion dress she has coined "Waves of Freedom" takes from Hingan and Thanalan aesthetics - a callback to her roots as a Far Eastern Miqo’te, married with her time spent in the Desert Jewel. The most prominent feature of this kimono-choli is its stunning blue color (though it can be dyed to the wearer’s content).  The deep hues is a stark reminder to the ocean – to Zana, this is a symbol of untamed and free-flowing beauty.

The calming blue-to-violet heels and kimono and of the Ruby Sea mixed with the golden trim and stole of Ul’dah make this unique dress stand out.  The lack of sleeves, low neckline and ankle-length skirt allow this outfit to breathe with ease, and gives the wearer freedom of movement.  It is even rumored that the final product was woven with a special cloth that allows this dress to resist heat and moisture both to ensure it stays true to its name!

Flow without restraint throughout the fashion realm and shine as a sapphire jewel upon a sea of amber and gold.  The Waves of Freedom is your lightweight ticket to looking and feeling beautiful!
