A unique flower, the diphylleia grayi (also referred to as "the skeleton flower"), is truly a blessing to lay eyes on, especially when it rains. This flower is only found in three locations in the world, not being fond of hot summers. Those places are China, Japan, and the Appalachian Mountains in the US. Each region also has its own species/variations.
โบ So... Where does the term " Skeleton Flower" come from?
This is an excellent question! It's mainly Chinese origin and translates to glass flower or skeleton flower. In the rain, the delicate and thin petals turn translucent, giving them a glass appearance.
โบ So... What exactly do they look like?
โบ Do they symbolize anything?
It's said that this flower signifies affection and happiness.
โบ Tell me more!
In 2015, Kim Jonghyun, a South Korean artist and member of SHINee, composed and released a song of the same name for his album Story Op. 1. In September of the same year, he also released a book titled 'Skeleton Flower: Things That Have Been Released and Set Free.'

hullo!! this is for the matchup: my ideal date would be a botanical garden! i love seeing different varieties of flora and drawing them as well,,i would find it to be very relaxing as for gender- male pls and ty! ~๐ฎ
send me a corny pick-up line or your ideal date and iโll play cupid for you <:
i match you with . . .
albedo ! i would have matched you with baizhu, but there isn't enough information for me to properly do him justice just yet haha. but albedo would enjoy a date like this very much.
perhaps it was because you mentioned drawing the flora you'll see in the gardens, but, even then, a trip to the botanical gardens is something that the observant and reclusive alchemist.
the walk through the gardens is either filled with comfortable silence as the two of you admire the beautiful greenery held within the garden walls or filled with chatter from either party regarding the plants. albedo wouldn't know about everything considering he's an alchemist and not a botanist, but he would know a fair amount to surprise you; such as the scientific names of certain plants and their medicinal purposes.
but if you were to be knowledgable about plants yourself, albedo would be more than happy to listen to you teach him about the various plants the two of you pass by. an amused expression settles on his face as you go on and on about each plant, small chuckles leaving the alchemist's lips when you're reminded of another fun fact to tell him.
as the two of you find a secluded bench surrounded by the flora to sit down and draw, albedo can't help but admire you and your focused expression. he finds the way your brows furrow in concentration and your pencil twirls in your grip endearing.
albedo wishes he could capture your surprised and flustered expression when he reveals the beautiful, delicate sketch of you surrounded by your favorite plants and flowers inside his sketchpad. you're absolutely enchanting to him.

Vetiver (in French, vetyver) is a fast-growing perennial grass from the Poaceae family of plants, which also includes lemongrass and citronella. It also can grow very tall! Vetiver also has a large, interlinked root system from which the essential oil of the plant (used widely in perfumery and incense production) is derived.
Vetiver is native to Southern India, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia, but today is widely cultivated in various countries around the world, including Reunion, Haiti, the Philippines, Japan, the Comoro Islands, West Africa and Polynesia.
โบ So...Itโs just grass?
No! Vetiver can not only produce small purple-brown blooms, but Itโs also used in many different ways therapeutically. Vetiver is sometimes applied directly to the skin for relieving stress, as well as for emotional traumas and shock, lice, and repelling insects. It is also used for arthritis, stings, and burns. Vetiver is sometimes inhaled as aromatherapy for nervousness, insomnia, and joint and muscle pain. Vetiver oil has a very distinct woody/earthy smell, making it a must have for grounding techniques when using essential oils.
โบ So... What exactly do they look like?
โบ Do they symbolize anything?
It's said that the vetiver root symbolizes vitality.
โบ Tell me more!
This grounding and earthy essential oil was a staple in the traditional medicine of ancient China. It was used as a treatment to soothe and replenish dry skin, balance the emotions, ease negativity and energize, calm and cool the body. Chinese physicians actually prescribed vetiver, which when used with meditation, was a means to restore โYinโ deficiencies, which were often associated with depression.
