California law requires gender-neutral toy sections | The Sacramento Bee

DOES ANYONE IN THIS COUNTRY NEED MORE PROOF THAT GOVERNOR GAVIN NEWSOM IS A LITTLE WEF BITCH!? I swear, to God, this man will never be president. For him to even fantasize about leading this country after fraudulently pushing a PAGAN BELIEF as pure science and being on the side of a group after women's rights, spaces and identities, shows just how arrogant Newsom really is.

I wonder if the western men cheering on the taliban raping and torturing women know that the taliban is notorious for raping little boys too. we know they don’t care about women and girls but they supposedly do care about boys and think boys being sexually abused will inevitably make them gay. even then though, they still are technically supposed to be punished for abusing boys whereas female victims are the ones who are punished, but it’s still a huge problem.

I'd consider the behaviour of certain individuals savage I wouldn't make a generalization about an entire demographic based on the actions of some. You know since that's racist as hell.
You're the one assuming that judgement is based on race. It's not. It's based on culture. Many middle eastern cultures, most in fact, if not all, are incredibly savage and barbaric compared to classically liberal western cultures. Honor killings, female genital mutilation, child marriages, bacha bazi boys, slavery, stonings, women treated as property, death sentences for homosexuality, illegal apostasy--all of these things and more are accepted in parts of the middle east. All of them are considered abhorrent in the west. Except for your side, which goes out of your way to excuse, if not outright accept, these things as long as they're done by people with brown skin who follow a certain religion. Skin color plays zero part in my judgment of these cultures. It's their actions, the things they condone and practice, that make them savage. It's the things they do when they're mass imported into western cultures that don't support those things that make them savage.

People often say that LGBTQIA+ people doesn't exists in Muslim/Islamic World. Nowdays many muslims argued that LGBTQI+ rights are contrary to their traditional beliefs, homosexuality shouldn't be decriminalized in their native countries, because it goes against their moral values, cultural norms & social mores,[...].
But previous Islamic history & muslim traditions had wide range of acceptance of sexual & gender diversity. In those days Muslim communities weren't so bigotted, heterosexist,homophobic/transphobic, heteropatriarchal.Colonialism, communism, dictatorship, islamist regime justified the prejudices against queer folks in Muslim world, not Islam itself.
In 1854, Ottoman empire legalised consensual homosexuality in parts of Middle East,North Africa,Eastern Europe & West Asia.Notably Mughal,Mamluk,Khilji,Sayyid, Pathan,Lodi,Abbasid,Safavid,Qajar,Ottoman empire gave privileges to gender variants and eunuchs.Even it is also said that Aghawas (a designation for trans feminine, effeminate,agender/eunuch & intersex) were served as guardian of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)'s mosque & tomb. There had been numerous homoerotic paintings & same sex romantic poetries in medieval islamic era.In pre-modern muslim societies ghazals (sufi spiritual song) has direct references with queerness. In some sufi traditions cross-dressing, gender fluidity was considered as sacred.
Since 18th & 19th century almost all muslim countries were colonized or being influenced by European Orthodox Christians.Europeans pushed their moral codes, heteropatriarchal system & gender roles upon muslim communities. But western colonialism was unable to erase queerness & love from asia.In Pakistan,Bangladesh,India & some parts of Afghanistan, Hijras (designation term for trans feminine, trans woman, gender diverse, intersex) are still exists.Hijras has recognition of third gender in Pakistan,India & Bangladesh. They have some civil rights in those countries mentioned. But Transgender people's livelihood in Afghanistan is very worst. Some Afghan trans people's lifestyles are very similar to Hijra/Khawaja Sara subculture. In central-asian muslim cultures gender vice-versa or variance are not uncommon.Bacha bazi or Bacha-bozi is practice where adult men get sexual services from young crossdressers and effeminates.
Waria, another transgender muslim community can be found in Indonesia.Waria transgenders has very limited rights comparing to Hijras. In South Sulawesi, Indonesia Bugis (a muslim tribe) recognized 5 genders: Oroané(masculine men), makkunrai (feminine women), Calalai (trans-masculine or masculine women), Calabai (trans-feminine or feminine male), Bissu (androgynous or non-binary).The classification of the calabai, calalai, & bissu as third genders is disputed. These roles can also be seen as fundamental occupational and spiritual callings, which are not as directly involved in designations such as male and female. In pre-Islamic culture, Bissu were seen as intermediaries between the people and the gods. The Bissu are closely associated with the female yet androgynous moon goddess, as her spiritual offspring.Up until the 1940s, the Bissu were still central to keeping ancient palace rites alive, including coronations of kings & queens. Historically, Bissu have played an important role in other ceremonies as well, particularly in weddings and childbirth events. However today Bissu & Waria faces marginalization in their homeland due to rise of Political Islamism & Islamic Extremism .

However, substantial legal and societal barriers still exist in Iran. Trans individuals who do not undergo surgery have no legal recognition and those that do are first submitted to a long and invasive process (including virginity tests, parental approval, psychological counseling that reinforces feelings of shame & inspection by the Family Court).
Bosnia and Herzegovina - Trans people may change their legal gender in Bosnia & Herzegovina after a sex reassignment surgery & other medical treatments.
Pakistan - Pakistan recognized Hijras as third gender in 2009. In 2018 Pakistan's parliament passed “The Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act” which provides fundamental rights in health, education, government and security.
Lebanon - In late 1990s Lebanon allow sex reassignment surgery. In 2016 Lebanon court legally recognized a trans man as man.
Turkey - Transgender individuals were allowed to change their gender since 1988.However later Turkey adopted harsh policies for transgenders, required many pre–requisutes in order to be able to receive gender-affirming surgery. Transgender persons had to ask & be granted permission for the surgery,be at least 18 years of age, unmarried, & sterilized in order to receive gender-affirming surgery.
Jordan - Since 2014 jordan allow trans people to change their gender after a sex change operation.
Bahrain -Since 2008 Bahrain allow trans people to change their gender after a sex change operation.
Bangladesh - since 2013 Bangladesh recognized hijras & eunuchs as third gender. In 1975 Dr. Hosne Ara Begum became the first transsexual woman to be recognised as woman in Bangladesh.
Indonesia - Indonesia allows sex change operation for Warias & give limited rights for transgenders.
Kazakhstan - Since 2003, trans people allowed to change legal gender following sex change surgery, medical examinations, & sterilisation.
Kyrgyzstan -Transgender people allowed to change legal gender following sex reassigment surgery, medical treatments, sterilisation since 2014.
Tajikistan -Under Tajik law, trans people may change their legal gender on their passport if they provide a medical statement that they have undergone sex reassignment surgery. There has been 2 sex-change operations performed – the first one in 2001 and the second one in 2014.
UAE- allows intersex persons to undergoes a sex change surgery & change their gender.
Egypt - In 1988, a sunni Islamic Fatwa by Muhammad Sayyid Tantawy grants legal permission to perform gender affirming surgery. In Egypt, those who want to undergo the surgery must seek an approval from a gender reassignment review committee at the Medical Syndicate of Al-Azhar. But the committee has not convened since 2013, when Al-Azhar withdrew its member from the ccommission.

“The terrorists bring inappropriate clothes for the girls, the clothes of dolls. They turned our girls into their dolls, that they can do whatever they want with,” Aviva said. “I want to tell you that the boys go through these things too…And something must change now.”

4. VEFB — Very Expensive FemBoy
I told about brothels in my last post. Let's continue.
I remind modestly that Konrad Curze was such a handsome creature. Just tie it up and break it down right as a pimp and you would have a good butterfly for your clients. And from childhood. Our no-name Nostraman pimp would be rich with such a doll.
And for thinking. There is quite interesting entertainment in Eastern Countries called Bacha-Bazi (or dancing boys). I don't want to write about that perverse, just google that and read wiki. I red and cringed from scare

Thank you for pointing out how it's not a culture but male thing. Too many yt rfs think they have a free pass to say whatever shit they want.
there’s a reason men are the ones overwhelmingly sexually abusing kids from the catholic churches in the west to bacha bazi in afghanistan and it’s not that there’s some cultures better than the others, but that when men are given the chance to abuse their power & take advantage of vulnerable populations, they will.

Why can't I wear a dress?' What schools can learn from preschools about supporting trans children
Story by Cris Townley • 1d
"A new group of young children has just started school for the first time, with many excited about new friends, uniforms and being at "big school."
But for trans kids, starting school can be a much more daunting process.
But school culture is much more cisnormative. This means schools tend to assume children can be sorted into boys and girls and everyone is comfortable in what category they are in.
You can see this in formal ways, with boys' and girls' uniforms and toilets and in informal ways, with boys and girls making different friendship groups and playing different games at lunch.
This makes it difficult for trans children to feel as though they belong at school. Trans students often have lower levels of well-being and lower educational outcomes than non-trans students.
My research looks at what schools can learn from preschools and other early learning settings such as daycare centers about how to support trans students.
My research
In 2023 I partnered with P-TYE, an advocacy network for parents of trans children. The study, which is currently in peer review, looked at how we can integrate support for trans children across a range of services including education, medical and mental health.
Through P-TYE and wider networks, we recruited 12 families with trans children. The children had an average age of 13 and had been recognized as trans between two and ten years.
Though interviews, I spoke to them about their experiences of childcare and school. Three themes emerged.
1. The importance of being 'child-centered'
Early education services are "child-centered." This means educators are trained to place a child's "belonging, becoming and being" at the center of their curriculum (as per the Early Years Learning Framework). This includes freely exploring gender and their identity.
One parent told us their trans girl "had an incredible teacher" for preschool "who'd take old curtains and make things […] these three-tiered skirts that were heavy and they made beautiful sounds and they caressed you when you wore them and [my child] found such joy in these creations.
In contrast, trans identity in schools often means "breaking the rules." Parents in the study described examples of schools not letting trans students express their identity. "Every day, she was asking, 'why can't I wear a dress to school'? Why do I have to go to the boys' toilets? They're mean to me when I'm in there."
2. Not categorizing kids by gender
Parents in the study also reported how children weren't categorized into genders by pre-school routines. As one interviewee said, "all the kids use the same toilet […] they [were called the] 'cockatoos' and the 'koalas' or whatever […] they weren't ever separated by gender."
But at school, children faced daily choices about whether they are a boy or a girl. One parent described how a class had segregated lunch crates for boys and girls. Their trans child stood out with "this pink drink bottle with unicorns on in a sea of dinosaurs."
Children also have to wear the correct uniform, be in the right line for sport and use the assigned toilet and can be bullied by other students when they try.
One child "survived kindergarten by walking." She told her parent
"I just realized that if I wasn't still, I was less of a target so I just made sure in kindergarten to keep moving and I never stopped moving."
For non-binary children—who don't feel like a boy or a girl—school brings a more complex set of difficulties.
One parent talked about a lucky dip at the school fete with boy or girl gifts. They said this signals to their child "I have to be one of these things or the other" and "tells my kid that they don't fit in the world."
3. Support for educators
Research shows having teachers who are positive about gender diversity is crucial for the well-being of trans students.
My interviews also suggested responses to trans kids often depend on individual educators and schools. Many preschool educators were supportive and "totally fine to change pronouns, like immediately." But as one parent told the study, one educator reportedly said, "I'm not going to play this name game" and refused to use a child's new name.
Some school teachers did make a difference. One well-being officer "put out all the uniforms and said, 'which one would you like to wear?'"
At a schools sports day one trans boy was allowed to compete with the boys. As his parent said, "He's never been a sporty kid. He came last and everything, but it made him really happy to to be in with the boys."
Another teacher was "fantastic" but "a bit old school" saying "I've got no idea what to do, what to call her, what to say. I'm really out to sea here."
This suggests both early education and school teachers need access to education and resources, so whether students get support isn't left up to chance.
What should schools do differently?
Schools should take the lead from early learning environments and stop "sorting" students based on gender.
This could mean:
having a range of uniform items children can select from as some schools already do
more all-gender toilet facilities, where privacy is protected for all students
preferred names and pronouns should be easy to change in school systems and teachers should use these.
Teachers also need access to resources and information so they can confidently have conversations about gender. This needs to be part of a whole-of-school approach to supporting trans students and their families..."

Cris is a sociologist whose research explores what happens when we put the child, young person and family at the centre of the nexus between service delivery and education. This requires an intersectional approach, that recognises the multiplicity of identities lived by children, young people and families, and requires listening to their voices. Cris works collaboratively with partners to ensure that research supports change through informed policy and practice. Examples of Cris’ work are an exploration of Acknowledgement of Country practices in early childhood services, and design of online learning to support educators; co-design of a theory of change for multi-agency service integration reform; a partnership with ACON to investigate LGBTQ+ experience of service provision in Western Sydney; and initiation of a project to inform what supports young people to thrive in school, and finish school well.
Cris completed a PhD on identity, belonging and social support in Australian community playgroups at the Social Policy Research Centre at UNSW. Cris graduated from Cambridge University with a BA Hons and a Cert. Ed in Mathematics and Education, was a high school teacher, then undertook a Masters’ Degree in the Sociology of Gender Divisions from Essex University.

abu graib was barely the start of it. Look up "Bacha Bazi", our soldiers were permitting that from our local "allies" in the area and on military bases. Little boys raped in front of their captive weeping mothers who beg for them to be killed instead and were laughed at by soldiers. The sickest most evil thing a person could do it hurt a child and our soldiers were literally rounding up "attractive" boys to deliver to these abusers. I think Dworkin was the one who pointed out that little boys, while they are little boys, are as vulnerable to male violence as women, and that they cope with this by abusing their future wives and sons because they see having reached manhood that it is "their turn" to become the aggressor. Little boys are often overlooked victims of wartime rape.
the torture in abu graib exposed should've permanently destroyed any faith in the US government to be "humanitarian" in foreign policy, but instead revealed the power of dehumanization. the most horrific war crimes become a necessary evil as long as you view victims of those crimes as deserving of it. and unsurprisingly the most depraved individuals are attracted to jobs involving torture CIA "advanced interrogation techniques". what torture you see israelis doing right now is so comparable to the torture done by the CIA in abu graib. some of it is quite literally identical, including the pictures and videos sadistically depicting war crimes as a positive.
and now what do you hear? "you're supporting terrorism by rejecting biden/israel". you know who else was accused of supporting terrorism? people questioning bush's policies after 9/11. you know what the public is aware of now? those people were correct about the bush administration.

Final paper for Global Child Protection:
Got an A, an improvement from the C from the midterm. A hard but passionate professor, Tim Williams; I really enjoyed this class.
Comments:
This was a very good paper that demonstrated a marked improvement from the two-page paper earlier in class. The paper gave an in-depth look at the issue of Bacha Bazi. The paper drew from a variety of sources to examine political, economic and cultural drivers of this issue, how it connects to definitions of human trafficking, and also why the nature of this makes it such a difficult issue to address. The paper provided a lot of thoughtful insight into the issue, and a particularly strength was how it drew from documented evidence to make claims and form conclusions and recommendations. It was well written and contained few grammatical errors. The reference list was exceptionally well done, both in terms of the quality of references cited as well as formatting. One thing that could make this paper (and future papers) stronger is the use of headings and sub-headings. As readers we need to be guided through the paper you have written and headings are a good way to signpost. But overall, a really exceptional effort – and congratulations. Re: the in class presentation: The in class presentation was fantastic. It was well-timed and thoughtful. Questions were answered thoughtfully with evidence of engagement with the literature. You captivated your peers too!

Bacha bazi
Didache
