PROLOGUE

Mu Woods isn’t an innocent town nor is it a place full of crime either. It’s just a boring town with minimal history, people, and crime. The only special thing about the place is the teenagers’ drive to party on the weekends and causes a little noise to the town. They give color to Mu Woods which is usually grey. But recently the colors starts to bleed with the sudden shift in the air.

10:30pm, Saturday

It was a chilly night but that didn’t stop the loud booming bass coming from a two story house near the woods that surrounded Mu, which clearly got it’s name from. The poor house was packed with teenagers from all different grades even some who haven’t even entered the high school yet. It’s the middle of the school year everyone wanted the stress to sweat off their bodies from dancing, to drinking, and finally from lust.

That’s exactly what’s happening to Lee Jisu; the loving, innocent, girl next door Lee Jisu. Warm and sweet on the outside dirty and slutty on the inside. “Y-Yes! Jisu stopped by her boyfriend who was still talking and drinking with his little group. “Yeonjun~” she controlled her voice into a higher lighter tone one that really keeps the illusion going. “Darling!” He welcomed her with open arms and a bright smile. “I started getting worried for a second.” He wrapped his left arm around her shoulder holding her tight. Almost afraid of her leaving him again. “Sorry I was just not feeling well so I went into the bathroom and Hana came in with me. She was helping me, but then she started gossiping with me.” Just strings of lies were coming out of her mouth. Yeonjun just took it even though in the back of his head there was a bit of doubt.

Even though Jisu didn’t see it nor poor little Yeonjun there was someone lingering in the shadows that has seen Jisu’s two face ways, and wanted to help Yeonjun to set him free from his doubts. So let’s get the dead weight off his shoulders.

As the night continues and it was already the wee hours of the morning the party didn’t look like it was going to end anytime soon, so Jisu decided to get some drinks for her and Yeonjun to keep it going. Jisu went into the kitchen where all the parents’ liquor was at, “are you fucking kidding me.” Jisu whined at the sight of empty bottles all over the expensive marble counter top. Just as she was going to quickly give up she felt her phone vibrated, it was a message.

dad!: there’s some more outside in the back

Jisu: I told u to stop texting me!

If you couldn’t figure it out miss girl next door is a pretty good liar and knows how to hide secrets with code names that people wouldn’t really question.

dad!: don’t you miss me? come on jisu leave the son of bitch for a second and come with me let’s have some real fun huh?

Jisu was getting bored by the second hearing Yeonjun and his friends told about shit that didn’t interest her.

Jisu: fine. but it’s that last time ok!

dad!: don’t worry it will be the last time I promise. meet me by the lake so no one sees us

Luckily Minyeon another person in Jisu’s clique showed up in perfect timing. “Minyeon! Just the person I wanted to see.” Jisu gave Minyeon a fake smile. “Oh, Jisu-ah there you are I was wondering where you were. You’re always hiding somewhere huh?” Minyeon was clueless and was genuinely dumb to Jisu which always worked in her favor. Someone who’s beautiful and has a similar taste like Jisu, but had nothing going on inside that pretty little head of hers. Jisu giggled, “no, but what I will do is get us some drinks. I’ll be back ok.” Minyeon didn’t ask no further questions just smiled and nodded like the empty obedient girl she is.

There wasn’t much people outside since was already getting even colder than before, plus all the action was inside. The path leading to the lake was also the infamous path into the woods. Jisu didn’t know if it was the coldness of the full moon night or the eerie feeling she was starting to get that was led her goosebumps up her arms. She pushed the feeling aside as she spotted the lake that was reflecting the moonlight. “Alright I’m here.” She called out. Jisu scanned the lake and around the trees trying to see if she saw anyone. “Chanwoo! Where are you?” Jisu was getting irritated. “I don’t have all nig-”

Her phone vibrated.

dad!: come deeper I have the perfect spot love

Jisu gave one finally look at the distant house that still had her boyfriend there waiting for her. She bit her lip having a mental battle of going or not, but ultimately making her decision to meet up with Chanwoo. Again the feeling was there but Jisu was already way too into it to back out, plus to be fair she hasn’t seen Chanwoo in a couple of weeks since last time he fingered her in the movie theaters after her dinner date with Yeonjun.

“Ok I’m here.” Jisu sighed, yet no Chanwoo in sight. “Stop fucking with me Chanwoo.” Jisu furrowed her brows. A little chuckled was heard causing Jisu whipped her head around. “It’s not funny anymore!” Jisu chest started rising more frantically. The little snaps from the branches breaking caught Jisu’s eye before finally seeing a shadow. “Stop fucking around and come out!” Jisu yelled at the person. What scared her the most is that the person stopped and turned to face her. Jisu’s eyes widen at the sight of the person wearing a bunny mask that was cover with black fur and nothing else. No eyes, no mouth, no expression.

“You’re a freak.” Jisu spat out venom. “You’re mad I’m not bending you over and fucking you like a bitch.” The distorted voice spoke to Jisu. Jisu payed close attention to all the details of the person like how they wore a silky white dress with arm warmers. “You’re probably just another whore Chanwoo fucks huh? Sorry.” Jisu spoke in a fake apologetic tone. The person stepped closer to Jisu causing Jisu to start panicking, but tried not to show it. “Actually, you can keep him well…at least a part of him.” Jisu confusion was instantly replaced with horror at the sight of Chanwoo’s decapitated head that the person was just holding it by his hair. Jisu was about to let out a scream of panic, but the mysterious killer dropped the head and quickly pushed Jisu against there body covering her mouth. “Shouldn’t have been going around opening your legs and actually appreciated your soon to be ex boyfriend, but don’t worry he’ll be in safe hands.” A evil giggled was let out, causing Jisu to still try to scream but was muffled by the hand.

“Here I’ll give you something to actually scream about.” A small knife was pulled from the garter that was hiding under the silky dress. They struck Jisu’s left side of her stomach quickly pulling it out and throwing her on the dirt floor. “Let’s play a game ok? You try to run as fast as you can, and I’ll try to catch you.” They kept on taunting Jisu.

Jisu still have some fight in her and actually got up while pressing down on her wound trying to run, but the pain was soon getting to her. “Come on Jisu. You got this.” She whispered to herself. Unfortunately, she only made it to the lake the house was barely in sight. “Ah, ah, ah~” the killer pulled Jisu towards the little dock the lake had. “I see you got pretty far, but not far enough.” They crushed any hope Jisu got. Once they reached the end of the dock Jisu plead, “why? Why are you doing this to me? And who are you?”

“Well since you ask I’ll tell you.” They held on to Jisu’s hair tightly making her whimper in pain. “I want someone that you don’t deserve, and to get what I want I have to take out the one thing in my way. You.” Maybe if Jisu begged enough this will stop. “Ok then you can have Yeonjun! He’s all yours I won’t say anything or do anything I swear.” Jisu tried to find their eyes, but it was impossible with the bunny mask covering. “Just let me go.” Tears started running down her face. “Before you go I’ll answer your second question.” The killer completely ignored Jisu’s pleas and started revealing themselves to her. With what little Jisu had left since she was currently bleeding out from the stabbing she focused on the killer’s movements. They dropped the mask on the dock floor making direct eye contact with Jisu. “Y-you’re beautiful.” Jisu mumbled at the sight of the girl who had long jet black hair with bangs just above her eyebrows, black cat liner with a few moles on her face; one below her lip on the left side, one under the corner of her left eye, and finally one on her cheek bone on the right side.

“Aw, thanks.” The girl cooed, evilly smiling. “At least your last words were kind.” Before Jisu could say anything else the girl slice Jisu’s throat with the same little knife, and threw her into the water. “Did they actually care about you Jisu.” She shook her at the thought of nobody coming out to look for her. “Maybe I did you a favor.” She proceed to take out a cigarette and a lighter from her small pocket of her garter, lighting the cigarette and blowing the smoke out as she watch Jisu’s lifeless body float covered in her blood.

“Sorry, but the top floor is reserved for the royal family. No one else is allowed up there.”

Drake didn’t even blink as his eyes scanned the rest of the guards stationed up and down the hallway. His face lit up as he waved and called out, “Bastien!”

“Drake!” The middle-aged man with greying hair and the physique of someone who still works out daily strode toward them with a wide smile. Pulling Drake into a hug, he asked,  “Why haven’t you been to see me yet, son?”

“Sorry ‘bout that,” he responded as he clapped the older man on the back with a sidelong glance at Riley, “Been…busy.”

Bastien looked over Drake’s shoulder as the embrace ended. He extended his hand, “And Lady Riley, how nice to see you again.”

“Bastien.” She returned the handshake.

“I suppose you’re here to support Liam. Well, come on,” he ushered them down the hallway and no one stopped him.

Bastien escorted them to a waiting area and then disappeared to let the king know they were there. Liam appeared a few minutes later, his eyes zeroing in on the woman in the room as if Drake wasn’t even there, “Riley!”

Liam moved quickly across the waiting room floor and into her arms. She returned the embrace, holding him tightly while he sobbed against her shoulder.

“It’s okay, it’s okay, it’s going to be okay, I’m here,” she crooned as she patted his back, “How is she? How’s the baby?”

“They’re fine, for now,” he pulled back, wiping his eyes as he did so, “She had some bleeding, so her guards rushed her here.”

“Bleeding?” Riley’s voice rose in concern, “Why? From what?”

“The doctors said it’s something called placental previa, the placenta is basically too low.”

“Can they fix that?”

“No, but it often resolves on its own as the pregnancy progresses.”

“So we just have to what…wait?”

“Bed rest, no heavy lifting, no stress, things like that, and yes, wait.”

Riley jerked like she’d been hit. “No stress….” She spun away from him and stalked across the room to the row of windows overlooking the parking lot as guilt punched her in the gut.

She was stressful for Hana. Her mere presence, her relationship with Liam, their estranged friendship, all of it.

Liam started to go after her but was stopped midstride as Drake clapped him on the shoulder, “Hey, I’m sorry this is happening, but you’re going to do everything in your power to make sure she has a good outcome. You have all the resources in the world.”

Liam gave him a sad smile, “You’re right. She’ll have a full-time medical staff as well as a full-time wait staff, so she doesn’t have to lift a finger, she’ll be monitored constantly. I just…I feel so goddamned guilty!”

“You didn’t cause this.”

“No, but I haven’t helped the situation, have I?”

From across the room Riley listened as Drake comforted Liam. She knew Drake was right about everything, but she agreed with Liam. The situation between them had become untenable. She headed for the door, “Which room is she in?”

Liam looked startled, “Riley, I don’t think-“

“I promise I’m not going to stress her out, Liam. The opposite in fact. I have some things I need to say to her to repair a little of the damage we’ve done.”

“I don’t know…”

“Liam, please! She’s my best friend! If she gets upset in any way, I’ll leave immediately!”

Liam hesitated a moment then nodded. He opened the door to the hallway and gave instructions to a guard to escort Riley to the queen’s room.

The guard showed her to the room. She opened the door quietly and stepped inside.

Hana’s eyes widened, “What are you doing here?”

“I’m sorry, I just wanted to make sure you were okay, I can leave-“ Riley pointed back toward the door.

“No, wait! Don’t leave!”

She turned back to face her former best friend, “Yes?”

“You were worried about me?”

“Of course I was!” Riley walked across the room and dropped into the chair closest to the bed, “I know things have been….bad between us since you…since I….since everything with Liam, but deep down I still love you and I couldn’t bear the thought of anything happening to you or your baby!”

The baby whose existence had tormented her. Now she felt like the biggest asshole on the planet for her raging jealousy. It wasn’t the baby’s fault, and no one deserved to lose a child.

“I didn’t know you still cared,” Hana said so quietly Riley almost didn’t hear it.

“I told you I loved you, Hana, and I meant it. I just didn’t love you the way you needed me to, and I’m sorry for that. And I’m sorry for continuing a relationship with him after he chose you.”

“I knew he was in love with you when I married him. I’m sorry I’ve been such a bitch about it.”

“You haven’t!”

Hana raised an eyebrow at her.

Riley laughed, “Okay, you have, but it’s been justified!”

“I should have told him no.”

“And done what? Gone back to Shanghai?”

“No,” she scoffed, “But maybe if he’d married Madeleine, you and I could have mended things with each other.”

“That’s a lovely thought. But he probably would have convinced me to stay no matter whom he had married.”

“Right. Because you love him.”

Riley shook her head, “I’m sorry, Hana. But I know what I have to do now. I promise I’m not going to be a problem for you anymore.”

“What do you mean? What do you have to do?”

“I have to leave…”

Hana lunged forward, “Riley, no…”

“Not forever, but long enough for you to recover. You need to be stress-free for the duration of this pregnancy. I’m sorry, Hana, for everything! I never should have stayed here in the first place, then maybe you and Liam could have had a real chance.”

“No, Riley, you were right, I married him to hurt you-“

“I hurt you first!”

“All you did was fall in love with someone else. You can’t control whom you love, Riley. I get that, especially now. If I could have controlled it, I would have just stopped loving you.”

“So, it’s true, you just said yes to me to hurt her.” a quiet voice said from the doorway.

“Liam!” Riley jumped, “I didn’t hear you come in.”

“I’m sorry,” Hana dropped her eyes ashamedly to her lap, “it’s true.”

“It’s okay, darling,” Liam took the chair on the other side of the hospital bed and pulled her hand to his mouth to kiss it, “I wasn’t in love with you either. And I’m sorry I wasn’t more up-front about my feelings and clearer about my intentions with both of you. I…I regret ruining your friendship. But I do love you now, Hana, you and our child! I will do whatever is necessary to ensure your health and safety! Both of you!”

Riley felt like a knife had just been plunged into her heart. Of course Liam had come to love Hana over time. Hana was extremely lovable. She was sweet, kind, caring, loving, and passionate, as well as intelligent and funny. All the qualities one could want in a partner really.

She fought back her tears and when she was able to speak without crying, she reiterated, “I’m going to remove myself from the equation so you can both focus on getting this baby here safely and on supporting each other.”

“What?” Liam’s head jerked up and he stared at her in horror.

Riley bit back her tears as she told him, “You know it’s for the best. Your focus should be here right now.”

“I…” his eyes dipped back to his wife before lifting back to Riley with resignation, “You’re right.”

“I know I am. I’m sorry again, Hana. For all of it.” She stood to leave.

“I’m sorry too, Riley. I’m sorry I let my hurt feelings go too far. I miss our friendship.”

Riley leaned over to hug her. “Maybe after this baby is born, we can work on repairing it?”

“I’d like that.”

They held each other for a long while, both women shaking with silent tears.

Riley pulled away and walked to the door. She stepped into the hallway and looked back. Just before the door closed, she caught Liam’s eye and mouthed, “I love you.” Then she turned and ran back to the waiting room, crashing into Drake’s arms.

Yuki Yawamizu (雪 山水)

Hero Name: "Snow Angel" Quirk Type: Emitter Quirk Name: Winter Temper

Occupation: Student/Civilian

Story Behind the Quirk: One day a young Yuki came across a group of boys who were mistreating a mother rabbit and her babies. Upon seeing this the usually reserved Yuki couldn't help but confront them but instead of listening and leaving the rabbits alone the boys continued to mistreat them. Becoming annoyed by Yuki who was trying to stop them the boys pinned Yuki down face first into the freezing snow and ice. Through tear filled rage Yuki was able to stop the bullies by causing a hefty thundersnow storm...seemingly out of nowhere? Upon seeing what Yuki was capable of the boys ran away in cowardice finally leaving the rabbit family alone and although they were gone Yuki found it difficult to stop whatever was occurring with himself, he felt his heart had turned cold. Through the rustling of a snow covered bush Yuki's attention turned back to the precious rabbits which reminded him that the threat was gone and he felt his heart melt. Feeling his kindness once again now that the boys were gone he took off his scarf and used it to warm up the rabbits before parting ways with the fluffy little creatures. After that incident Yuki learned about his quirk and trained hard to control it on his own accord hoping to use it to help others meanwhile not letting his emotions become overwhelming to handle.

Quirk Side Effects: If Yuki overworks his quirk he's prone to fatigue, muscle aches, difficulty regulating body temperature, and migraines. Although he enjoys training and prefers cold weather in general if he's exposed to frigid temperatures for too long he's at risk to developing 3rd degree frostbite (superficial frostbite which reveals an underneath layer of skin and tissue that appears white or grey). Yuki's extremities, such as his ears, nose, cheeks, fingers, and toes, are more often than not red due the training he undergoes. Due to dangerous risks such as the damage and loss of tissue Yuki has yet to train past his breaking point, having an intense fear of developing 4th degree burns (deep frostbite which causes skin to turn black due to the death of cells and the inability for joints and muscles to work) and having to amputate parts of his body alongside developing corneal frostbite which would deeply damage his eyesight if not completely remove it.

Home Life: Yuki and his family reside in Hokkaido. Since the weather is colder than in other regions, especially in the winter, Yuki has always enjoyed colder weather, finding it more natural to him; so much so that he doesn't mind going out in shorts when others would be complaining about the cold! He's the first and only son (23 years old) with a younger sister (12 years old) to a mother (48 years old) and father (53 years old) who make and sell traditional sweets for a living. Though their parents claim that they themselves don't have quirks they do know that there are many people in their families that do which made them understanding when Yuki discovered his quirk. Yuki's sister, Hana Yawamizu (花 山水), also seemed to inherit a quirk: Blooming Caress, where she can generate many types of flowers she has seen before with her touch alone, seemingly memory based. However she is still unsure of what exactly she can use it for but can control it willingly.

School Life: Yuki attends 冬百合学園 (Winter Lily Academy), a university where alumni learn about useful information in regards to becoming heroes, civilian safety awareness, and advanced training in order to effectively use their quirks not only for solo use but together with other heroes. Yuki's closest friend, 冥王星 大城 (Meiōsei Ōshiro) (22) seems to be the opposite of Yuki: he's dark, taciturn, and firm and yet they get along very well. He's very fond of Yuki, finding himself spoiling and protecting him from harm. The two often practice together; Yuki using his precipitation to cause distractions so Meiōsei can advance his quirk: Phantom Permeation and Meiōsei helping Yuki develop his sense of defense and attack by stealthily moving about in close combat. Every now and then students are to be sent on missions and solve a problem ranging from helping children get along with one another to stopping criminals and villains from carrying out malicious acts. Each year has a rank for students: A, B, C, and D; Rank A meaning the individual has the strength, cooperativeness, and skills to be a substantial hero meanwhile Rank D individuals are just above having power and reliance compared to civilians.

Strengths: cold/rainy/cloudy weather, caring for others, being charismatic = persuading others, is resourceful, very observant

Weaknesses: warm/hot/humid weather, not very physically strong, overwhelmed easily, too selfless, too trusting of others, a bit clueless

Distinguishing Feature(s): beauty mark under his lip (right side)

Summary:

When you die, the Tribunal judges you based on the promises you have kept, and broken. Did you keep your word? One shot fic where Tomura Shigaraki and Hawks are judged together in the After.

The last thing Hawks saw was bright blue eyes as chilling fire burned his hollow bones. The fastest hero alive was dead. 

‘That hurts.’ Hawks looked up at a looming Tribunal of eyes staring down at him. The atmosphere, and everything else, seemed devoid of color. 

‘Where am I?’ A scraggly man  with blue hair and red eyes said. His neck and arms were covered with flaking skin, hands scratching as blood ran down his throat. Tomura Shigaraki was here. 

At least he’s dead too.

‘You stand at the Tribunal of Vows. During your lives you both have made promises. We shall judge you by the amount you have kept, and those you have broken.’ The Tribunal boomed. Keigo wrapped his wings around his now tiny body. He felt like a child, unable to speak loud enough. They don’t understand, I was helping people. There was a reason for the lies. I did what I had to. 

‘Keigo Takami, how many promises did you break? Was there no other way for you to live? You chose a life of deceit. For this you shall be….’ 

‘I was protecting people! Keeping them safe! Look at him, not me! He killed people! Hundreds!’ Keigo fluttered his useless baby wings, it wasn’t fair. He saved people. Protected them. What good was a promise next to that?

‘I’m sorry. He’s right. I deserve to be punished.’ Tenko Shimura said. Black hair fell across his face as he stared at the motionless gray around him. I broke my promise. I told Hana I’d be a hero. We were supposed to be hero’s together.

‘Ah, but you did keep your promise little Tenko.’ A tall woman with long black hair pulled into a bun approached Tenko and pulled him aside. Keigo and the tribunal dissolved as he stepped into a green field of dandelions. 

‘How did I keep my promise Nana?’ He looked up at Nana Shimura’s shining grey eyes. They seemed so kind, those eyes. 

‘You were a hero to your friends. To Spinner, Toga, and even Compress. You showed them the world could change. That they could be themselves.’ Nana Shimura looked at a distant mountain, contemplating its peaks. ‘All I wanted to do was make a world where people could be themselves, where they could smile. I caused the people closest to me the greatest pain. You did the opposite. The people you called friends found joy in your presence. That is a promise kept.’

‘I hurt a lot of people. I wanted to hurt them. All of them.’ Tenko gripped his hands into fists, nails pushing into his palms. 

‘I broke my promise. I promised to protect my little boy. You had to live with the demon I couldn’t beat.’ Nana knelt down and gently held Tenko’s hands, staring into his rose red eyes. ‘But even then, you kept your promises. You lived true to yourself. That is what matters in the end. Living honestly.’ 

Tenko smiled. He did his best. ‘Can I play with Hana now?’ 

Nana smiled as Hana Shimura ran toward Keigo from behind a tree, laughing as she grabbed her brothers hand.

‘Of course you can play with me, let’s go you big dummy!’ She pulled Tenko down the hill towards a group of kids playing soccer. He started kicking the ball and chasing down the others. He was happy.

‘I had to lie! They told me to! I did keep promises, I promised to be loyal, I didn’t want to lie! I had too!’ Tears were streaming down Keigo’s face, it wasn’t fare, why did the villain get to go to the good place! I was the good one!

‘Keigo, calm down. Their right. We broke our promises and now it’s time to fix them.’ Endeavor, no, Enji Todoroki stood next to the Tribunal, hand outstretched to help Keigo up from the floor. 

‘But I don’t want to be hurt anymore’ His golden eyes were filled with tears, wings sagging to the ground. 

‘Keigo, it’s time to go, we have another chance, to live a better life this time. To prove we can be better.’ Enji softly tugged Keigo’s hand, his sad eyes reminding him of another young boy. One he had failed. 

‘What if I fail again?’ Keigo shuffled his feet, failure hurts. Enji paused, causing Keigo to bump into him from behind. They were now in a long hallway filled with mirrors reflecting their past, their broken promises. Enji stared at an image of Touya, his skin charred and smoking as he begged for Endeavor to see him. 

‘Then we’ll try again. We’ll keep trying until we get it right, until we can join them in the fields.’ 

Keigo looked into a cracked mirror, Twice’s face staring back. He promised to help him, to give him a better life. Then he stabbed him in the back. Shaking his head, he walked forward with Endeavor. I’ll help him this time, we’ll be friends. This time will be different.

Time passes differently in the After. A thousand lifetimes could be passed, a thousand attempts to be honest, to keep promises. But the moment they succeed, all others fade into nonexistence.

We, the Tribunal, look after them. We shall watch them until they are ready. And then they shall live again. Someone new this time, a different life, another chance to be themselves. Whoever they become, we shall care for them.

We care for them all.

One hand on the wheel, one clutching the gear shift as he readies himself to take off, god he's missed this. It's electric, the feeling of being in the car, the adrenaline, the feeling of going 100, 120, 140, 160, building up, up, up, as fast as he can push it. Bypassing, the other racers easy, his car way faster, pure speed, the purr of the engine. The call of the crowd at a meet-up, his pretty girl on the sidelines watching him excitedly, dark-haired beauty waving at him, knowing he'll win his race.

He can hear the crowd around him, he's ready to go, ready to fight, to win, eyes flashing to the rear view mirror for a quick scan of the crowd and everyone is there.

Without preamble his left foot finds the floor as he steps on the clutch, right had switching through gears from neutral to reverse, and wait what?

The call of the crowd turns a little higher pitched, sounds a little more childlike, a little more like "Daddy are you going to use super gear?"

Eren's eyes flash back to the rear view mirror to see his 'crowd', three excited little faces in the back of his SUV, Hana bouncing happily in the middle in the smallest carseat while Nico waves his hands next to her, Yumi leaning her head against the window, uninterested. Suddenly, it's all clear, his left foot is on the floor, there is no clutch, his hand switching gears so easily because his prized race car is actually a practical black SUV equipped with about a hundred different safety measure and car seats.

"Are you sure, because I know that look in your eyes, I can see it from here, you're going to tear out of the driveway at 60 km/h and you're going to drive around like you're in a race car." "Promise, babe, absolutley not, I'd never." It's silent for a beat, and he watches her relax a little from where she's standing on the porch. Eren is hopeful maybe she'll come over and even give him a kiss for his troubles.

It is his three year old that once again rats him out, "Daddy is going to take us super gear mommy!"

Of course, the rest of his brood all piles in, "Yeah," Nico asserts helpfully, "We're going to drive super gear and be so fast!! We're in a race car, just like the one in daddy's garage!"

He can see Mikasa's murderous mama bear rampage a mile away before she even hangs up the phone, and after checking all three of his mirrors, he does exactly what she said he was gonna do and tears out of the driveway at 60, tires spinning, and turning the wheel so fast his children scream in delight.

"Eren--" her voice is menacing but he cuts her off quickly as he gasses it down their empty street, "See you later baby." Sometimes Eren misses his race car, but the SUV isn't the worst thing ever... especially not when he has his own personal fan club in the back cheering him on.

Ms Chu glared at Motak’s remark about your spirit picking you.

Don’t take it personally, it’s literally Motak being Motak at first sight.

After some explaining of what the counters do, you were asked to join them and you didn’t hesitate to immediately accept.

Your instant response startled Ms Chu, earning a chuckle from Motak.

“What are you so surprised for? If she didn’t accept, she would die.”

“She might die doing this job too.”

It was literally a situation of instant death or possible death.

Let’s go with possible death for now.

Oh well, what’s cooler than saving people’s souls anyways?

All four of you grew closer mission after mission.

Even though Hana was still cold and distant, you found yourselves getting along pretty well. Training together almost every day.

Motak became like a father to you.

He no longer had this intimidating aura, from your point of view.

His mean remarks were more like ‘I care for you so I will tease you’

He cares deeply for all of you but he will never admit it out loud.

Ms Chu would always remind you to eat and stuff like that.

She was like a mother to you and it did radiate a sense of comfort.

She definitely acted like a mother but if you asked her, she would deny it saying she doesn’t care about you and then the next minute she will be asking you about your day etc.

Motak going to jail for the 14th time, he was used to putting people in jail after all, whining about it until his turn comes again.

Always gets 5 when he rolls somehow.

Ms Chu with a lot of money, she definitely did not steal it from the bank when y’all weren’t looking, waving it like a fan in front of her face.

Hana laughing more frequently than she did before.

Overall spending time together apart from work was fun.

Strong bonds take time.

You did a pretty good job capturing spirits, maybe because of their low levels but still it wasn’t easy.

Like damn, you lost count of how many times Ms Chu treated your injuries.

Using her power also affected her health but she didn’t even let any of you go without treating even minor injuries.

Got to stop her once by saying, “We need a mom for the group.”

She at least knows you see her as a mother and that makes her beyond happy.

One day you were all eating noodles when an idea popped in your head.

“Why don’t we wear matching clothes when we go on missions?”

No one seemed against it, Motak liking it a lot.

Soon enough, the day that you didn’t manage to catch an evil spirit came, following the death of Jang Cheoljung.

His spirit, Wigen, found another person to become a counter.

Aaaaand your 5th member joined you.

He wasn’t as quick as you to agree but what can you say? It was live or die for him.

So Mun, a high school boy living with his grandparents.

He didn’t seem promising at first but he proved his potential soon afterwards.

You had to save his ass because he was always in trouble. 

Episode 10 can’t happen, you kept him in check.

Time proved that something you missed in your bond was So Mun, the team felt complete with him.

He is the baby of the squad, everyone worries about him 24/7.

Sometimes you would just mess with him for absolutely no reason.

Car rides after a mission always go like:

“Can I rest my head on your shoulder?”

and So Mun falling asleep a few minutes later, with all his weight pressed on you.

You trying to stay comfortable while not touching Hana.

“Touch me and I will kill you.”

You heard it once and you both knew, you didn’t need to hear it again.

The sun is up after a mission? Ice cream.

Eat all you want Jangmul is paying.

The moon is up after a mission? Meat/Noodles.

Missions increased, introducing So Mun to the grey jackets and trousers.

I feel like red would still be his fave ones though.

“Oh Ms Chu, it matches with your hair!”

Working on the restaurant:

You, Hana & Mun serving while Motak and Ms Chu cooked.

Honestly? It was a mess.

Mun constantly dumping into either you or Hana, stepping on your feet from time to time.

Some customers being scared of Hana because of her face, choking on their food every time she passed by.

Zoning out while watching TV was a regular for you and Mun, it happened to Hana too though.

Ms Chu calling you three to take the bowls, no one knew she could yell that loud. Motak often joining you in serving just to not hear her getting ignored.

Whenever high school boys came to eat, you could feel Motak’s glare from inside the kitchen.

“So Mun, tell them to leave.”

Poor Ms Chu had to hear Motak complain about high school boys’ poor mannerisms.

He doesn’t want you around boys, you’re too young for that.

That one time you broke a table, oh man.

“Oops?”

Ms Chu was furious, Motak laughing at the customers’ faces.

Had to clean the huge mess, So Mun offering to help.

You and So Mun? Besties.

You went to school together every morning, same class.

You two, Ungmin and Juyeon spent almost every break together, eating snacks and making fun of each other.

Always made sure to hide you when Hyeoku was around, he just knew this certain bully had a crush on you.

One time, he noticed Hyeoku making his way to your table holding some sort of candy. He immediately dragged you away.

Ended up looking at a wall, Mun claiming he wanted to admire the red and brown bricks with you.

He just doesn’t want you around Hyeoku because he is dangerous, no other reason:)

Having dinner at his house? At least once a week.

His grandparents obviously adored you. His grandma being able to recognise and remember you, well most of the time.

His grandpa’s jokes about you two becoming a couple, never failed to make you smile. His grandma complimenting you with the sweetest grin on her face.

Sleepovers happened a lot, usually falling asleep while discussing about evil spirits and all.

Hana warmed up to the team more. She started seeing you and Mun as her younger siblings, always taking care of you and looking out for you in her own way.

You were all cleaning one day when Jangmul stormed into the store.

“What do you spend all this money on?!”

Long story short: Motak, You and So Mun were guilty for spending too much on your stomach needs.

“All this money for food?!”

He wasn’t that mad, he just thought y’all bought a house and didn’t tell him beforehand. Motak threw him a bag of chips to calm him down.

Yep, Jangmul ate them all.

“You want to eat the bag too?”

A lot of dancing, especially when in a good mood during shifts.

Of course So Mun tripped countless times, wdym.

You had each other’s backs, there was no reason to worry.

You were a family and the restaurant was your home.

In the world of Truth Seekers, fairies are powerful nature spirits who are bonded to specific animals, plants or natural features. There are many important roles in fairy society and the fairies of the seasons are the second most important after the Fairy Queen. Each season is assigned a fairy whose duty it is to make sure the season goes the way it's supposed to. These roles are mostly passive except for a special ceremony at the start and end of a season, so these fairies are mostly free to pursue their own interests.

From left to right: 1. Hanae is the fairy of Spring. She is a curious and playful young girl with a rare condition, her body is being slowly taken over by the cherry tree she's bonded to. To slow the spread of the condition, she is kept in a pocket dimension where it is eternally spring and she can run around and play to her heart's content. She is visited often by other fairies, but it's still a lonely life and she wishes she could see the outside world.

2. Abha is the fairy of Summer. She's a laid-back surfer chick who loves to party. She tends to turn up at most parties hosted by supernaturals including the big weekend parties hosted by the demons in the woods. She's bonded to a pearl oyster and tends to wear them as jewellery along with other shells she picks up off the beach.

3. Ruby is the fairy of Autumn. She's a fun, vivacious, flirty former party girl. She spent a very long time out of Fairyland, dodging her responsibilities and hanging around with pirates and highwaymen. But then she met her wife and settled down in the town of Hallowtree, where she runs the Autumn Café. She is the heart of Hallowtree's supernatural community, which makes her an invaluable source of information and advice for the protagonists, Ama and Mickey. She's bonded to a sycamore maple and she wears one of its seeds around her neck.

4. Taqqiq is the fairy of Winter. She's cold and distant and is uninterested in her duties, preferring to hide herself away in her ice palace. She used to be a midwife, taking any mutated fairy babies or 'changelings' and swapping them with human babies. The problem was that she kept the human babies for herself, causing chaos in Fairyland. The title of Fairy of Winter was supposed to limit her contact with the human world, since she only absolutely has to go there at the beginning and end of winter, but she keeps using the ceremonies as an excuse to kidnap more children. She is now heavily supervised at the ceremonies and any kids she steals get taken away from her, which has left her very depressed. She's bonded to a harp seal and keeps many of them as pets at her ice palace.
