You and the bidders had been dating for quite a while, things had gone smoothly. Sure, there were ups and downs but that’s with any relationship. All and all, things were calm. Except… they weren’t. Not anymore. Despite how much you shamed yourself, you couldn’t stop eating sweets. You had to have a sweet with every meal. Considering you rarely ate sweets, always self conscious about gaining weight, everyone was taken aback. In fact, their looks were causing so much paranoia you stopped eating anywhere near them. Only eating sweets in your room now, they didn’t fail to notice your other new habits, such as sleeping and becoming stressed over everything. Lately, your work ethic has been terrible, constantly falling asleep. Even your boss couldn’t keep covering for you anymore, alerting Eisuke.
“Okay, I think we can all agree Y/n has been acting strange.” The others nod to Baba’s concern. “She’s been eating sweets everyday. I asked the Chef.” Soryu adds, causing Eisuke to chime in. “And she’s been avoiding us. What could be wrong?” They weren’t sure, and putting their heads together didn’t seem to come closer to finding answers. You were frightened by this new change as well. What could be wrong with you? “Maybe you’re pregnant?” Your friend says after listening thoughtfully to you worries, then laughs. Though, you weren’t laughing. “Pregnant?” You repeat, spacing out at the thought.
Immediately, you rush out of the cafe, leaving your friend behind. What if it’s true? It would explain the cravings. And emotions. And tiredness. And now, a new symptom to add. Throwing up when worried. What a nice cherry on top. Despite not wanting to believe it, you, reluctantly, go to a pharmacy. In disguise, wearing sunglasses, a hoodie, wig, and everything else to keep your identity undetected. Then you grab a test and ask to be rung up in a strained whisper. After discreetly exiting, you shove the box in your pocket before sprinting back to your apartment. You have been spending a lot of time there lately. With what’s been going on, staying away from them, as not to explode or do anything else embarrassing was a must.
Anxiously, you rip the box open then, after drinking plenty of water, go into the bathroom. Shaking the whole time, you nervously wait for the results. Two lines… your heart drops, and so does the pent up emotions inside you. Sobbing your eyes out, you fail to notice the knocking at your door. “Y/n? Are you in there? We want to talk.” Nothing, yet the door was locked. They had a bad feeling, after debating on whether your privacy was more important than safety, Baba agreed to pick the lock. Though, Soryu is impatient, deciding to break the door instead. “Y/n, are you here?” They hear a distressed cry suddenly come to a halt. “I- I’m fine-!” Your voice shakes, barely coherent, it was hard to hide. “Y/n, are you okay?” Ota asks, taking a seat next to where the sobs came from, the bathroom.
“Yes…” Your voice becomes quiet, sniffling any residue onto the tissue. “Can we talk?” Shaking your head, you remember they can’t see you and manage another reply. “I don’t want to.” You hear a small sigh, the voice getting close. “Y/n, we just want to know what’s wrong. We’re all worried about you.” At the moment, you were tied between embarrassment and wanting comfort. Was it worth them seeing you like this? A mess? About to side against it, something in you that yearns for their touch breaks loose. Without giving it a second thought, you open the door before you could change your mind. That sight was shocking to see, on their part. A teary eyed, broken down, head hung, nose running, messy hair partner, appearing miserable as she runs out to hug the first person her hands reach.
Rambling incoherently, you sob some more, this time into Soryu’s button down shirt. “We can’t understand you when you talk like that.” Going on, though everything is heard in more of a whine, he manages to make out a few words, however not enough to piece together what’s wrong. “Why don’t we take some deep breaths?” Baba suggests, his tone gentle and face softened. Facing towards him, you quickly turn away, shaking your head no. “Y/n, come on, I know you can do it. I’ll do it with you.” Without hesitation, he begins taking deep breaths and eventually you repeat after him. Steadying yourself, you’re finally able to say all at once, “You’re going to hate me! I’m going to have to raise our kid alone and I’m not going to have enough money to support us, then we’ll be sleeping in a box on the street, eating out of a trash can, and drinking water from some old guys sweaty socks! Please don’t leave me.”
You become worked up, sobbing once more, while you shake Soryu’s body back and forth, continuing to plead. “Wait, what?” Eisuke says, shocked at both the scenario you’ve come up with and the news. “You’re pregnant?” You stop crying long enough to shake your head yes, then immediately begin again. “Woah woah, it’s okay.” Soryu says, rubbing your back. About to pick you up, Eisuke snatches you away, being the one to pick you up instead. “Baby, it’s fine. We’re not highschool boys, we wouldn’t leave you because you’re pregnant.” Ota nods before saying “And how would you end up homeless?” He laughs lightly, “It just wouldn’t happen.” Finally starting to calm down, you sniffle, rubbing your teary eyes before saying “Because I’ve been doing bad at work, and now you’re going to fire me.” Looking at Eisuke, he shakes his head. “I wouldn’t fire you without reason, and even then I would take care of you. Technically, you don’t need a job. You were the one insistent on keeping yours.”
You give a small smile, thinking about the memories when you first began dating. Suddenly, a hand ruffles your hair, looking at the culprit, Mamoru gives a small smile back before sighing. Then, running a hand through his hair, he shakes his head. “Just relax kid, we’re not goin’ anywhere and you’re not in trouble.” The support was all you needed to calm down, shaking your head to acknowledge you heard Mamoru. “If anything, I’m glad you’re not upset with us.” Baba says, to which you look surprised. “Why would I be upset? If anything I’m ecstatic. We’re having a baby! I hope they look like one of you. They’re sure to be beautiful.” Thinking about it more, finally done crying altogether, you show them the pregnancy test. “We should make the gender a surprise! Do you think they’d like bears? Or are bears too scary? Maybe ducks? Oh, I know! Cats! Wait, what if we make their room ocean themed?”
Going on about the endless possibilities with clothes, room design, and how great parents you would be, Eisuke sets you down. “We have to get parenting books! What type of parents should we be? We could be intense, strict, free-range, french, or-!” You just keep going on, and they intently listen to every word, the smile never leaving their face. After that they had you take time off of work, you finally weren’t as embarrassed to eat sweets around them, they were always kissing, holding, or hugging you, saying how much they loved you. Baba loves rubbing your belly while you sleep, and together they get you anything and everything you could ask for. Eisuke is no longer brutally honest about how he thinks you look. He’ll tell you if something looks better than other outfits, but never critiques such as “it makes you look fat.” Overall, they all turned into soft, loving boyfriends who are always worried about you and the baby.

PART V!!
guess who's backkkkkk after um...4 or so months ahahahahahwhawh ok i have no excuse. just have this chapter and enjoy :3 its pretty underwhelming and short for how long ive been gone with this series but i promise ill try to make up for it!! now go on and have fun reading
"That was really pleasant..."
She was walking down the hall to Eisuke's penthouse, feeling refreshed and relaxed from the small swimming session in the private pool. After their conversation had ended, Eisuke was a lot less annoying, and she actually found herself having quite a good time in the silence. She was leading the way, walking in front of Eisuke with confident and energized strides.
"This is the happiest you've seemed in the past 48 hours, was it that enjoyable?" Eisuke was following suit, his strides nice and slow behind her as he gazed out at the night view each time they passed a window.
"Of course it was. Swimming and living under the water is what I was born to do." She answered and came to a stop in front of the penthouse doors, turning to Eisuke and grabbing the doorknob. "Wow. You're quite slow, huh?"
Eisuke looked at her with an exasperated expression on his face, also approaching the door she stood at. Though, he was unfortunately far too late to enter the penthouse as she promptly opened the door — and swiftly closed it into his face.
She glanced back at the door with a slight giggle, making her way to the staircase to finally get some rest and sleep. She heard his footsteps behind her once again and just knew he was seeing red as she practically raced up the stairs.
"You think you're so funny, do you???" She heard him yell up to her from below, and she just had to stop, if only to get a glimpse at his angered face.
"Oh I'm aware. Thank you for the acknowledgement, Mr. Ichinomiya." She turned back to her path and climbed up the rest of the steps, a little more swift in her movements. She was finally in a good enough mood as she walked back to her room.
This, was just one of many days like such to come.
She went to sleep that night feeling refreshed and energized for the next day, which just so happened to be sunday. The schedule Mr. Kenzaki had given her said that she didn't start her work until the afternoon. She wasn't sure if that's what everyone's schedules were like, or if it was specifically Eisuke's influence, but she was still glad to be able to sleep in after such an exhausting day.
That dream of sleeping in would be crushed the moment she heard knocks at her bedroom door waking her up. She pulled the covers down to look at the door in confusion — and quite a bit of annoyance.
"Pretty Ladyyy~ rise and shineee!" Goodness gracious. That sounded like Baba behind the door. A soon-to-not-be-behind-door Baba, as he opened the door just moments after he spoke.
"Oh, I figured you were sleeping! Good morning." He smiled as he looked inside at her, before just waltzing in. Was he going to keep waking her up like this???
"Baba..." She pulled the covers down even more so to look at the man as he made his way over to the closed curtains. "Do you know what time it is...?"
"Of course!" He grabbed the curtains and swiftly slid them to each side of the window, letting in the morning sunlight which had Mira groaning and hissing as her eyes fought to adjust. "It's currently half past ten!"
"I don't start work until after lunchtime..." She pulled the covers back over her head and grumbled. So much for trying to keep the room as dark as possible.
"Uh huh...well, you're coming with me!"
"Coming with you where...?" She muttered under her blanket, before she felt it being removed from her head and saw Baba standing over her.
"Out in the town, of course!" Even his smile looked too bright at that moment. It was too early for this, surely.
"...Why...?" Mira rubbed at her eyes, not exactly making sense of anything.
"Eisuke realized you didn't have any clothes to wear outside of your uniform...so I convinced him to take you shopping today!"
Oh. Wow. How...generous.
What would be more generous is if they had let her sleep more though!
"But I'm working today..." She grabbed the blanket from Baba's hand and pulled it over her shoulders, turning over with her head in the pillows.
"You don't need to worry about that! Eisuke already arranged a day off for you, so you can enjoy yourself allll you'd like today." Why would he...nevermind. Maybe she shouldn't question that man, ever.
"...Do I have to???" She grumbled again. Just five more minutes would be enough. Maybe she could convince Baba...
"I think Eisuke would get really pissy about it, so it's better if you just come with. Aren't you excited to pick out new clothes?" Maybe there was no convincing him.
"I don't see the point...I plan to louse around in these pajamas and my uniform while I stay here anyway, would Eisuke have a problem with that too?" She looked over at the thief, eyes squinting at him. His smile never left his face.
"If you don't wanna get up yourself, I can help you out." She saw a mischievous look cross his face right before she felt his arms under her knees and her back — which almost immediately had her wide awake.
"No no no! Don't pick me up! I'll get up!" The thief smiled and removed his hands from Mira.
"Great! I'll be waiting downstairs." He turned his heel to leave, pausing before heading out. "Oh! I left your new clothes for today by your bed. Don't forget to wear them, kay?"
She resisted the urge to groan into her pillows as he left the room for her to change.
********
"This is so tiring..."
"Should I carry you on my back?"
"...No, thank you."
After she'd gotten dressed and headed downstairs, she was met with Eisuke and Baba chatting by the door. Well. It was Baba doing most of the chatting with a practically still-asleep Eisuke, but he surprisingly greeted her when he saw her approach them. Right after that she was rushed out of the hotel and into Eisuke's limousine that she was nearly far too uncomfortable using, and they spent the next few minutes of the ride in silence as Baba talked both of their ears off.
Now they had been walking around different shops and malls for three whole hours and Mira's feet were about to kill her off. Never had she walked this much without a break. But no, Eisuke just kept dragging her around in various stores, be it a shoe store, a clothing store or a jewelry store. What did she need any of these for, you may ask? "Because you need to look presentable next to me" as Eisuke said.
"If you're tired, sit down somewhere. Don't slow us down." Eisuke butted in, walking in front of her and Baba.
"Have you considered...I'm tired because of the heels you put me in???" Who the hell walks around on a casual shopping day in 4 inch heels?! She was seriously considering going barefoot or even taking Baba up on his offer to carry her on his back.
"That's not my problem." Oh she was gonna kill him. For sure.
"...If they're bothering you that badly, go in there and get something comfortable." He suddenly stopped and took out his card, turning to her and pointing at a shoe store nearby.
What.
"Huh."
"Boss?" Even Baba seemed surprised.
"What are you gawking at? Don't keep me waiting here."
Well then...alright. She took the card out of Eisuke's hand and bowed in a silent thank you.
"...I didn't think he'd do that!" Baba whispered as they passed by Eisuke. "He actually kinda beat me to it..."
"You would get me comfortable shoes?" She discreetly held onto the thief's arm, slowing down and struggling with each step.
"Of course I would! Beauty is a definite pain, and no woman should have to go through that for the sake of publicity."
"...That's actually quite nice of you to say. Thank you." She looked up at the man who just quietly smiled back at her and helped her inside the store.
She would've been selecting the shoes herself had Baba not forced her to sit down and rest her legs as he looked around for her, occasionally showing her some she might've liked.
"How about these?"
"...Sure, I'll try them on." She rolled her shoulders back and and stretched her body, finally feeling somewhat relaxed.
"You really aren't fit for walking, huh?" Baba chuckled. "I give great massages, by the way."
"Do you now?" She slipped out of the heels and sighed in delight and relief when she felt the plush and comfort of the sneakers.
"These...these are great. Amazing even..." She could fall asleep in the middle of the store, dare she say.
"Yeah? I'll pay for them, you just sit tight."
And they left the store, Mira's legs killing her a little less now as they carried her heels in a bag. The new sneakers were a blessing from the heavens.
"You took exactly 7 minutes and 52 seconds. Not bad." Eisuke placed his phone in his pocket and adjusted his suit as they approached him.
"You were timing us...?" She questioned, watching as Baba handed his card over back to him.
"No. I was just keeping track of time. Now let's continue."
"We're not done???" She nearly gaped as he carelessly walked past the two of them. Just how much time and money did he have to spend?
"I think we're far from done..." Baba let out an exasperated sigh and slipped his arm around her arm. "C'mon, let's not fall behind!"
This was going to be a very long day.
********
After a ridiculous amount of said time, money, Eisuke's judgemental gazes, "No"s, "Not this one"s, "Change"s and other various comments on what she wore and tried on, they finally decided to call it a day and head back to the hotel right around 6PM. Mira felt a little bad as she watched assistants haul everything they(Eisuke) bought up to the penthouse and would've helped them had Eisuke not interrupted her by saying it was their job to do so. More asshole points for him, how lovely.
She was met with a silent penthouse when they arrived, surprised to see just Ota sketching away in a sketchbook.
"Hey Ota! I need to discuss stuff with boss for a sec, I'll join you two later okay? Don't run off!" Baba followed Eisuke up the stairs, hauling all the bags along with him and leaving Mira and Ota all alone.
...
Well. This is a tad awkward.
"...Good evening." She bowed a bit as she approached the lounging area where the artist sat, hardly sparing her a glance.
"Hey." He returned to sketching just like that.
"..."
"..."
Alright. If she had to deal with this at some point, she might as well do it while the opportunity is right there in front of her.
"Ota."
"Hm?"
"I want to have a talk with you." She spoke with a firm tone. She only hoped it wouldn't scare him off this time, too.
"...About what?" His eyes didn't leave the sketchbook. In fact, he seemed to be looking even more intensely now at the page he was drawing on.
"Well. You've been acting weird, specifically around me." She took a seat in one of the chairs, far enough from Ota that she hoped it wouldn't intimidate him. "Are you just not used to having someone new around?...Or is there more to it? To me?"
She saw his hand pause on the page, his body noticably tensing up at the question.
"You're making weird accusations." He huffed and casually continued working in his notebook.
Right. So that's what he's gonna be like, huh.
She'd have to up the ante.
"That's a bold faced lie if I've ever seen one." She relaxed into the chair, her eyes baring holes through the artist as he did his best to avoid eye contact.
"Since when were you a lie detector?"
"Who knows if I am one or not? I know you certainly wouldn't, with the way you've barely spared me a glance."
"Mind reading wouldn't be possible even for mermaids." He sternly replied and Mira saw his pencil digging into the page the longer they conversed. Or, well, the longer she dwelled in the man's presence.
"How would you know that?" He paused again. Hah.
Caught him hook, line and sinker.
"Because- that's an obvious fact." Ota promptly resumed sketching away. At this point she was certain if she took a look at the page he was drawing on, she'd be met with a jumbled mess of scribbles.
This still wasn't working. He was just social distancing from her.
Well, what sort of a mermaid heroine would she be if she just gave up like that? For oceans sake, she's staying at this hotel for a man who bought her from a black market auction and has the potential to save her entire species. Could she have any less resolve?
As tough as nuts may be, they'll all eventually crack under some pressure.
One just needed to be patient and apply that steady, constant pressure to see the results of her hard work.
"To whom is it obvious? For all anyone knows, mermaids could have a sort of technology no human could ever hope to dream of having." She continued, hoping to steal his attention for a little longer. "They could be anything anyone could think of. To some they're goddesses, to some they are monsters...who's to say what's in between those two ends?"
"You talk like you're not a mermaid yourself." He grumbled under his breath.
"That wasn't the answer to my question." She noticed his eyebrow twitch as he willed himself to concentrate on the page in front of him. "Should I repeat it for you?"
"No!" Oh, wow... "I mean...just- be quiet! Can't you see I'm trying to focus?"
And she's finally cracked him.
"...If you wanted to focus, would you be sitting here before me right now?" She leaned forward, rising to her feet and towering over Ota with a fierce, yet an equally neutral gaze as she could muster. His eyes flickered up at her for but a millisecond.
"You knew I was out of the penthouse and would've come around anytime. You also know that the guys might've unexpectadly joined you here sooner or later. Yet you say you're trying to focus, knowing full well that's impossible for you right now."
His eyes finally found hers. She felt him stiffen up again. If she didn't know any better, she might've thought he was afraid of her.
"How many more lies must I have to weasel out of you before I reach the truth?"

Amygdala
Pairing: mamoru kishi x reader
Genre: angst
Warnings: tw/domestic violence, cursing, sa, abuse
Tumblr media
a/n: i tried to keep the actual violence parts to a minimum, it can be really triggering! anyways, it was asked by an anon some time ago im so ashamed of myself for doing it so late so here it is. and as always, @hellocupie my favourite proof reader always helps me pull through my writer’s block.
…Nine
You counted mentally as put ointment on your fresh bruises
…Ten
Except, however you turned your legs, a barrage of bright scabs followed your eyes, painted in gorgeous shades of blue and purple.
You flinched as one hurt particularly bad. Putting aside the medical box, you almost stumbled when you got up. Regaining your balance you walked into the bathroom and analyzed your face.
“That bastard’s clever.”
You whispered under your breath as the only thing still safe and free of injuries on your body was your face except for one eye. You couldn’t go down to grab an ice bag. No, absolutely not. That man still would’ve been in the kitchen, drinking and eroding away.
You wanted to be free. There was nothing you wouldn’t give to be steer free of this torture cell that wasn’t even worthy of calling a home.
01:00 a.m.
There was still a timid little child rooted in you somewhere that was afraid of roaming the streets at this hour. All kinds of creeps hung out in the dark streets, especially at this hour of the night. It wasn’t easy sneaking out, but food, however, was still a priority and you hadn’t more than a slice of stale bread in two days.
Pulling your hood up, you walked into the 24 hour convenience store. Strawberry milk and two cups of ramen would do it, right?
You stuffed one cup under your hoodie, hoping the part-timer hadn’t noticed. Reaching the door, you made a dash for it but the guy working in the store caught on to your antics. Before you could even get away you smashed straight into a sturdy chest. Looking up, your eyes connected with grey orbs. You wanted to move back but the part-timer was right behind you.
“I told you I was hungry! I’ve never did this thing in my entire life, please believe me.” Pleading to the cop in the grey suit, you put your hands together in forgiveness, hoping for him to let you go.
“That still doesn’t give you an excuse to shoplift. Tell me either of your parent’s phone numbers if you don’t want to end up in juvy.” The man in grey said as he held you captive. You couldn’t risk your father knowing about this. Starvation won’t be the only cause of your demise if that happened.
“Please, I’m not lying. I haven’t eaten in over two days. All I wanted was some food in my stomach. I’ll never do this again!” Right on cue, your stomach grumbled and you pointed at it to prove your point.
It was at that moment when your hood pulled back a bit when the officer finally got a good look at your face. The purple bruising on the left side of your face definitely wasn’t from a stumbling into a pole, if that was the excuse you were gonna give him.
“What gave you that black eye?” He asked while he sat you on the stool outside the store, the part-timer back at the counter.
Your brain hollowed. Eyes dilated and breathing erratic. He wasn’t supposed to know about this. Not if you wanted a roof over your head. Playing it cool, you dismissed his question,
“That’s none of your business, officer.” You leaned on the table and the bearded man raised an eyebrow.
“I’m an officer of law, kid. It is my business.” He countered.
“Oh yeah? Says who?”
“The law.”
You couldn’t argue with that so you pursed your lips as you saw the faintest ghost of a smirk on his face.
“Wait right here and don’t you dare run away. I’ll still catch you.” He said as he disappeared into the store. You obviously didn’t want to get yourself into more trouble so you waited obediently.
Five minutes later, the man emerged from the store with two cups of your favourite ramen, the one you almost stole earlier, and a carton of choco milk. He placed one in front of you and took his place in the stool opposite to you. It was odd but you wouldn’t turn away free food.
“I wanted strawberry milk...” You said, breaking apart the chopsticks.
The officer slurped his and shot you a glare, “Be grateful. I don’t do this for everyone.” You glared back but continued to eat without further protest.
You made it safely back to your room after bidding goodbye to the officer and evading your father. With a full stomach, you slept well for the first time in weeks.
It has become a part of your daily routine now. You escape out of the house without your father catching on and having late night dinners with Mamoru outside the convenience store. He’d treat you to dinner or buy you little snacks which you initially refused until Mamoru forced them in your hands. You learned his name a week ago when he showed you his police card. In return, he asked yours.
He saw the scabs and scars on your arms and legs every now though except he never asked about them. He had seen enough victims of domestic violence before to figure out what was happening but he didn’t want to pry until you were ready to open up to him and you appreciated that.
You two often argued about him walking you to your house.
“I’m not a kid!” Your nose flared as you glared at him.
“Please, you’re the size of a munchkin. How are you not a kid?” Mamoru folded his arms.
“I’M SIXTEEN, I CAN WALK HOME ALONE.”
“You just proved my point, hence, you can’t go alone. Let’s go.” He grabbed you by the arm and dragged you with him. You eventually gave in and he walked you home from that point, leading to him learning your address. You were more than glad to find that your father wasn’t home nor asleep whenever Mamoru was outside your door.
Mamoru was worried. It had been six days. Six days since your last meet up. He waited late into the night hoping you’d show up but you didn’t. His texts were left on read and calls weren’t being answered. It was possible you were just busy with school work but it had never been this quiet on your end.
You were never open to him actually learning about your family so Mamoru only sought for help through his connections. His assumptions about your bruises hung over his head like a bad omen and he couldn’t shake off the bad feeling.
He found a little sister in the 16 year old that he never had. He had to find out what was going on in that house and if there was any person who was good at infiltration, it was Mitsunari Baba. When Mamoru explained to Baba why he had to go look for a teenager, he was baffled. But Baba had never seen the man look more distressed in all the time he has known him. So Baba took time out of his busy schedule to help the man and his little friend out.
The clock read 11:30, but you couldn’t figure out how long you’ve been lying in the kitchen, blood seeping out from every inch of your body. Your mind kept recalling all the events from an hour ago.
Your pathetic excuse of a father had just gotten home from God knows where. The awful stench of booze could be sensed from a mile away and that was your signal to make your escape. You wish, oh how you wish you hadn’t decided to lay down in the living room for a normal evening for the first time in a while. Before you could run off to the comfort of your room, your father grabbed you roughly by the hair and pulled you towards him.
“Now where are you running off to, huh!?” He uttered with a manic face. You knew what it meant and you wanted nothing more than to stay away from this man.
“You’re just a little whore, a whore like your slut mother who ran off with another dude for some dick!” He struck you across the face as he spat. Clenching your fist, you closed your eyes and endured whatever shit he threw at you.
“Now look at you! You’re running away at nights doing whatever the hell that whore did! The apple doesn’t fall from the tree, I guess. You thought I wouldn’t find out?” Your eyes widened in absolute horror when you heard that. At this point, he had already grabbed the golf club, your body being the recipient of his repetitive strikes.
“Do you get money for it too? You look plumper for someone who barely eats the food she’s given. You ungrateful wench, is the food I put on your plate not enough?”
He struck you in your stomach. You thought of the stale bread and the beer cans in the refrigerator. What food was he talking about?
“...Or do you enjoy getting fucked by men twice your age?”
This time, he aimed for your legs. Your battered and bloodied self could barely hold on to the last of the strength and you ended up collapsing on the wooden floor.
He grabbed the collar of your shirt and yanked you upwards. “You know, whenever I fucked the brains out of your stupid mother, she always stayed home like an obedient bitch. You’re the filth that came out of that shameless slut, it shouldn’t be difficult getting you on the same page.” You tried to lift your hands and swat his hands away when he puts them on your thigh, but failed. You wanted to vomit.
It was too much. You thought of everything that built up to this moment. You thought of Mamoru. You thought of the food he bought you because you were hungry. You thought of the warm hugs he gave you when you felt down. Even though this disgusting man continued his assault on you, you tried to think of the limited happy things in your life so you wouldn’t feel as bad as you leave this miserable life behind.
Baba was prepared to break the window to get in if he had to but he was quite surprised to see the back door of the house unlocked. He expected a shabby house but the state of the house was rather immaculate. His awe was short-lived when he stepped into the living room.
Blood. So much blood, he could hardly believe his eyes.
His eyes widened beyond belief when his gaze landed on you sprawled across the floor. Are you even breathing? He thought as he crouched down to check your pulse so he breathed a sigh of relief when he could hear your silent breathing. It was slow and soft but it was there. Your body was littered with bruises, most of them looked fresh and some, a few days old. He could hear water running somewhere upstairs and he couldn’t let this go on anymore.
Mamoru was devastated when Baba reported everything to him. How could he let something so big like this happen right under his nose? He had so many opportunities to help you, to pry the information out of you. But he resisted it all for your sake, and in the end, all he felt was regret. He had to resist the urge to destroy the man who had done this to you. But right now, his priority was you. Your safety and your well being so he did everything in his power to get you out of that hell.
You could barely make out the scene before you. You peeled your ears open to hear what they were saying but it was all so hazy. People dressed in police uniform were placing handcuffs on your father’s wrists while you felt yourself being carried in someone’s arms. It was a warm embrace and it felt familiar.
What’s going on?
You wanted to ask, but your hazy mind didn’t allow you, and you succumbed to the protection that the arms holding you provided.
When you opened your eyes, Mamoru was the last person you had expected to see in front of you. A nurse tended to all of your injuries, the injuries that your rotten father had cruelly inflicted on you. Mamoru was speaking with someone but this time you could make out some of the words they were saying.
Once the nurse was done treating you, Mamoru walked up to you. You didn’t mean to, but you unintentionally flinched. You didn’t want him to see you in this state. He understood that but it was all he needed in order to reassure himself that you were alright. You were okay, alive and breathing so he hugged you with all his might until you had to smack his arm to push him away.
He ended up telling you about how he got a call from your neighbour, a neighbour you don’t remember having, hearing thrashing noises from your house and immediately reported it to the police the moment he saw you lying in the lounge when he decided to check it out. Baba’s disguise had worked yet again and he was more delighted than anyone that his skills had actually saved someone’s life this time.
You were still terrified.
Years and years worth of abuse you had to endure had just come to an end and your brain could not keep up. What if he came after you? What if all of this was just one of the delusions you had cooked up when you had tried imagining yourself in a much better life? Your thoughts were quickly pulling you into that dark place again but Mamoru was there to drag you away from the pit of darkness you were living in. He believed he could and you allowed him to. You had just come to love him as an older brother, someone you could rely on so when you heard him utter the words ‘everything will be okay’ for the first time in years, you let your tears fall freely.

Note
If you're requests are open I'd love to see some angsty kbtbb, especially w eisuke. Sorry if it's vague I've never requested anything before. Hope you're having a good day :)
okay, i can’t figure out who this is. i’m debating on writing two options: unrequited love, where younger reader is crushing hard on eisuke but he can’t return her love because of both age and he’s just not into her like that. or traumatized reader who has a trauma response to maybe a fight, or something along those lines.

She Should Be With Me ~ Baba
Hey! 🩷
So here is the last instalment of the She Should Be Me mini series of stories I decided I would write. 😁
As always, the link to the prologue is below! ⬇️⬇️
For this series I decided I would write for the 5 original KBTBB characters, so now Eisuke, Mamoru, Soryu, Ota and Baba are all completed. 🥳
I honestly had a lot of fun writing these, even if I took a lot longer to post them than I expected! But hey, sometimes life gets in the way or sometimes inspiration for a different story hits better, and others get swept under the rug for a while! 🙃
So this is...
Baba x MC
A story of jealousy and fluff
Disclaimer ~ Characters belong to Voltage Inc. Story (and Mason's character) belong to me.
~ 4263 words
Numbness. The feeling of nothingness consumed Baba’s mind and body. The pounding of a heartbeat echoed loudly in his ears. Was it his? It must have been. Everyone else seemed miles away from him now. Surrounding her. The woman who lit up any, and every room she entered.
Their words were muffled. He couldn’t make out what they were saying. He was dazed. As though her news had knocked him out.
Gone?
Moved away?
Words he had hoped he would never hear her say. Especially not when they were associated with her leaving. Leaving with another man.
Baba felt as though an ocean was between them. As though someone was binding him to the past, and freeing her to her future. He felt as though he was watching her step further and further away. All while he was shackled to the past.
He shouldn’t have been surprised. The news wasn’t really news to him. She had confided in him that she was moving in with her long-term boyfriend. That she wouldn’t be able to stay at the hotel forever.
But what does a few conversations here and there really contribute? It never prepares you for the shock. Or losing the one you love.
But what hurt Baba the most was that he blamed himself. He was losing her, and it was his fault.
He let her get away. She was the one. And he had let her go.
Foolish. He knew that now. He knew when you had found the perfect gem, you didn’t let it go. You kept it safe. You polished it, allowing it to shine. But he had let this jewel of a woman go.
Foolish… the word didn’t even begin to explain how he felt. 3 years… 3 years this woman had held his heart in an iron grip. a love so vivid he could still picture the beginning of it now,
He had just returned from Switzerland. Gone for a few weeks, and a few loots later, he was back with numerous items to sell at the auction.
Paintings, pottery, jewellery… if you wanted it, Baba could probably steal it. The famous Lupin wouldn’t fail to steal something worthy of their patrons.
Crossing the foyer of the hotel, Baba spied the new hires being shown the ropes. The usual green staff, joined with eagerness. Getting to work in the Tres Spades, under Eisuke Ichinomiya… well their excitement was always palpable.
Yet one new hire caught Baba’s attention. His eyes drawn to her as though some gravitational force was pulling them together.
She was calm. Smiling, yes. But not some overbearing smile that made you want to cower as it hid some sort of insanity. No… a smile that was as fresh as a spring meadow.
Breathtakingly beautiful.
Baba was a renowned lady’s man. A flirt. But this was the first woman he felt a genuine interest in, that went beyond lust.
She wasn’t nervous, or intimidated at the importance of those she was working for. She seemed competent. Interesting.
Before he knew what he was doing, Baba was approaching the young maid. A toothy grin firmly in place.
“Well hello pretty lady, may I have the pleasure of learning your name?”
A soft giggle escaped the pretty maid’s lips. Angelic. A symphony to his ears.
“MC… and you are?”
“Baba Mitsunari, at your service. I don’t suppose I could have the pleasure of your company this evening for a drink?”
He had to shoot his shot. He wouldn’t be being himself if he didn’t.
“Heh, I am afraid my company has already been promised to another this evening. My boyfriend”
Of course. A lady as lovely as she was bound to be taken. But this rejection wasn’t exactly new to Baba. Many rejected him. What differed with MC, was he was genuinely intrigued. Her beauty was a bonus, but she, herself, had captured his attention.
Maybe… just maybe, he could build a friendship with her.
And he did. At first it was simple hello’s as they passed by each other in the hotel. Then it was longer pleasantries. About the weather, about a tasty dinner they had enjoyed.
Soon they learned many things about one another. One of which, was MC was abysmal at cooking. A skill Baba had perfected.
Baba began teaching MC how to cook.
Each week, a new dish. A new recipe to perfect.
And each week, Baba saw MC grow. Learn new skills. And grow even more beautiful.
Before he knew it, he had fallen in love. In love with a girl who couldn’t be his.
Or so he had thought.
About a year after they had met, MC and her boyfriend broke up. Arguments about how much she was working had caused them to drift apart.
Baba and MC spent much more time together after her split. Cooking became a time for her to relax and enjoy herself. And soon neither could deny how much joy they felt when spending time together.
And so, they started dating. Baba would take her to fancy restaurants, or they would cook together and spend the evening watching films.
A sweet, innocent love. For months they were inseparable.
Until MC found out about the auctions and Baba being the infamous Lupin. How could he have kept something so big, a secret?
Hurt, MC had told Baba she needed some space. Time to think about what she had suddenly learned.
Frustrated, Baba had been unable to accept this. Leave through the door now, and it was over. Truthfully, he had been desperate for her to choose to stay. Figure it out together.
But she had walked through the door.
And listening to his words, she didn’t enter them as his lover again.
They didn’t see each other for a few months after they broke up. The next time Baba saw her, they spoke as old friends. Things felt normal. Until she dropped the bombshell.
Her and Mason had reunited.
Baba had let her go, all in the heat of a moment. All because she had wanted time to fully accept what he had told her.
Foolish… he should have given her the time. They were meant to be together. She should’ve been with him. Moving in together, that should have been their next step.
But he had let her go.
Baba could feel the pitiful glances Ota surreptitiously gave him. His friend knew the flicker of love burned brightly in his heart. No other had come close to filling the void left by MC.
Truthfully, everyone believed MC and Baba would end up back together. They had been smitten. Like two love sick teenagers. Their breakup heart breaking.
They all had been saddened by MC leaving. Her presence had become the normal to them. Her absence noticeable.
Baba kept a watchful eye on MC. Her eyes flitted towards him. A burning ache passed through his heart.
She looked at him with the same sad eyes as the ones he was sure he was showing her. For Baba knew, he was not alone in his feelings.
When MC had told Baba a few weeks earlier that she would be moving in with Mason, Baba had reacted with surprise.
Surprise because the confession came following the reminiscing of their relationship. Baba bravely shared his feelings with MC. His love hadn’t faded. She had smiled. Such a sad smile, she had shown him. But a ghost of the one he had witnessed so many times before.
I love you too, and I am sure I always will. The words had come from her lips. But as much as he prayed she wouldn’t, she continued. But, we cannot be together Baba… Getting over you, it was the hardest thing I had to do. And I am with Mason now. I can’t hurt him.
He understood, he did. But knowing they both loved each other, how could he just give up?
He wouldn’t.
So, the infamous Lupin had a new target to steal. His most challenging, yet valuable target yet.
MC’s heart.
**
A few weeks had passed since MC declared she had moved in with Mason. Despite her moving out of the hotel, Eisuke had still encouraged her to accept the promotion. And so, she had been arriving to work promptly every morning, working as the penthouse maid.
This morning seemed no different.
As Baba stood dishing up his breakfast, a small knock reverberated around the room, as though right on cue. Except…
It was a knock he didn’t recognise.
It certainly didn’t belong to the woman who had enslaved his heart these past few years. That he was certain.
Approaching his door, he welcomed the maid inside. He recognised the maid as one of MC’s closest friends, Chisato.
“Sorry Mr Baba, I hope now is an ok time to come and tidy your suite?” The maid asked, a sorrowful smile gracing her soft features.
“Of course, thank you… um, Chisato… wasn’t it?” He asked the maid, just to be sure.
“Yes, Mr Baba?” Chisato offered a friendly smile.
“Where is MC? Isn’t she the one who is supposed to be responsible for the cleaning of the penthouse suites?”
He tried to hide the disappointment he felt at not being blessed with the sight of her and her smile today. To have to miss out on an opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee together. Converse more about some random film or their dinner plans.
“Oh Mr Baba, did you not hear?” Chisato questioned, surprise evident in the way her fluffy brows met her hairline.
“Hear what?” Dread filled Baba’s tone. His palms grew sweaty as he nervously wondered what he could have missed.
“MC resigned. Yesterday was her final day. I would have thought you would have known? She had to work the two weeks’ notice period.” Chisato informed him, a sigh seeping through her tightly pouted lips.
Baba froze. Time seemed to stop. Except it hadn’t. Time never stopped. This was what had left him in this mess. If time could stop, he would have had all the time in the world to keep MC beside him.
He had been enjoying the comfortable friendly banter they engaged in. This ‘friendship’ they coexisted in. Two people, who knew they loved each other, but could never be together…
That wasn’t how it was meant to be. This wasn’t how their story was supposed to end.
How could he let their story end? Not when she meant so much more to him than any other.
“Mr Baba?” Chisato’s voice roused him from his musing.
“My apologies Chisato. Do you know why she left?”
“The commute was too strenuous, Sir. She was becoming overly tired, and was missing out on time at home with Mason. They both agreed she would seek employment within a closer vicinity of their home. I believe she informed Mr Ichinomiya of her new work place?”
So Eisuke knew. He knew and chose not to tell him. Frustration boiled in him, he was enraged at the fact Eisuke had kept something like this to himself.
His anger left him restless. He fled from his suite in search of the man responsible for his ire.
He was not searching long. The man he sought, sat drinking his coffee, in the lounge. The sight of the man sipping his coffee so nonchalantly fuelled the flames of anger even more.
“EISUKE, YOU IDIOT!” Baba bellowed, his rage controlling him.
His fists gripped Eisuke by his shirt, shaking from how tightly he held him. Yet the latter just eyed him coolly. He said nothing. Nor did he try fight back.
“How could you let her leave and not say a single thing to me about it? How could you, when you knew how I felt about her?” Baba’s anger was less convincing now. He sounded broken. He was broken.
Eisuke easily retrieved his now crumpled shirt from Baba’s grip, and sat back down. Once again sipping his coffee.
“You know… her coffee was always the best coffee I drank.” Eisuke spoke, his tone firm but quiet. Almost reminiscent.
Baba looked at him, waiting for him to continue
“I didn’t want her to leave either, Baba. Her presence was comforting, if not slightly exasperating at times. She was a nuisance. But she was a nuisance that I didn’t mind. She cared. She listened to us all, and despite who we all are, she accepted us. She was a good friend to us all.”
Eiskuke paused for a moment. He looked at Baba. His eyes showing a flicker of emotion, one usually missing from the man’s eyes.
“So as her friend, I listened to her, too. When she told me, she wanted to leave the hotel, I encouraged her to stay. Out of a selfish desire to keep her here. I also listened when she came to me again, this time with her resignation letter. I listened as she wept, explaining that despite loving working here, and wishing she could continue, she had chosen to move in with Mason and the travelling was too much. So… as her friend, and her boss, I accepted her resignation letter as the decision she made. And I did her one last curtesy. When she asked me not to tell you, I didn’t”
Eisuke got to his feet and began striding from the room. Baba hastily reached out to grab his arm.
“Chisato said she told you where she was working now. Where has she gone, Eisuke?” Baba pleaded with the other man.
“As I said, her coffee was always the best”
Those were the final words Eisuke spoke, before pulling free of Baba’s grasp and stalking from the room.
Baba felt confused. He knew Eisuke was a man of few words. What he had been graced with was a plethora of words, yet an obscure clue. All he knew was, he desperately wanted to find MC.
**
A month had passed, and Baba was still none the wiser. Eisuke had continued to refuse to divulge MC’s whereabouts to him. While MC still wasn’t responding with any clues of her own.
When Baba had questioned Chisato and a few others regarding MC’s whereabouts they informed him they had been sworn to secrecy. It appeared MC was taking their game of hide and seek seriously.
Fine. Finding the greatest treasures always felt better after a tough search.
The only thing that bothered Baba was the longer he took to find her, the longer he was without her. So far it had been just over 6 weeks. Yet it felt like eternity without her.
He had been spiralling when Ota approached him with a proposition. He needed to meet a client in the city across from them. He invited Baba to go with him. Get some fresh air. Put thoughts of MC aside for a day at least.
Baba knew this was his friend’s way of being kind. So, he accepted. One day without overwhelming himself in his search for MC wouldn’t set him too far back. Heck, he had barely made any progress at all, anyway!
A dainty little coffee shop, with a cute rustic vibe was the destination they were headed for. Ota would be meeting his client inside to discuss his latest commission. Heading inside, Baba’s eyes were immediately drawn to the back of the woman working behind the counter.
Her long hair was tied in two loose braids. Strands of hair waved down her cheeks. Her delicate frame danced from one end of the counter to another, working efficiently to make customers’ orders.
She didn’t need to turn around for Baba to feel his heart rate spike. Beating a mile, a minute. He knew, even without seeing her face, without hearing her sonorous voice. It was her.
“Welcome to La Casetta del Caffè, what can I get you?” her usual cheery tone blessed his ears with her words. It had been too long since he had heard her voice. Too long since he saw her face.
“MC?! You work here?” Ota exclaimed, his voice being what finally drew the young woman’s attention to them.
“Ota? B-baba?!” She stumbled as she spotted them. Yet the smile that lit up her features said everything she did not.
She raced around to the men, embracing them both tightly.
“MC… how have you been?” Ota asked.
“Oh, you know, busy! Learning a new job and keeping a home running is challenging!” MC smiled, “I’ve missed you guys, how are the others doing?”
“They’re fine… Eisuke misses your coffee” Baba spoke, somewhat hesitant to divulge that little tidbit about Eisuke.
The young woman laughed. A laugh so joyous, it filled others with that very same joy. Baba felt warm and fuzzy. His heart swelled to be near her again.
Finally, he had found her.
Ota had politely excused himself upon noticing his client waiting in the far corner of the café. Since it was time for MC’s break, she headed to a table outside with Baba so they could talk away from the hustle and bustle of the busy café.
“So, how have you been?” MC asked, somewhat nervously.
“I, uh, I’ve been busy… spent a lot of time searching for a run away.” Baba joked, scratching the nape of his neck nervously.
“I’m sorry I left without saying goodbye…”
“Why did you? Leave without saying goodbye, I mean.” Baba asked, desperate to know.
“Because I couldn’t. I didn’t want to say goodbye to you Baba. I mean… it was always us. Part of me always believed it would be again… and saying goodbye, well that would mean if never could be us again…” MC shuddered, it was clear she was upset.
“What if… what if it could be ‘us’ again?” Baba asked, placing his large rough hand atop of MC’s smaller, softer one.
“I-it can’t…” MC whispered, her voice breaking as she pulled her hand away. “I moved away… with Mason. He’s kind, Baba… I… I can’t hurt him… not over some selfish desire on my part.”
“But MC… I love you. And I know you love me. Surely, if we love each other, you should be with me?” Baba pleaded, his eyes glistening with raw emotion.
“Baba… sometimes love isn’t enough for things to work… if it was, we wouldn’t have ended up how we did before…”
Her words wounded him. As though an arrow had been shot right through his heart. Love not enough? Of course, he knew that. relationships took hard work to maintain. But he was willing to put all that work in for her. For them.
“MC please. Please think about this. If you still want to choose Mason after you’ve really thought about it, I will accept that as your answer. But if… if even a small part of you thinks we could be together, then come home. Come home to me, and I promise I won’t let you walk out that door again… I’ll wait until I hear from you to know your answer… but I won’t bother you again”
Squeezing MC tightly once more, Baba headed back into the café to await the end of Ota’s meeting. He spared breaking his heart further by glancing back at MC… if he had, he may have noticed when another male took his place before her.
**
The weekend soon came around, and Baba had not spoken with MC since his and Ota discovered her working in the dainty café.
He shouldn’t have been surprised it had been radio silence from her since his surprising proposition. But it hurt nonetheless that they had not been speaking this last week.
Questions whirled in his mind. Had she made up her mind? Did she choose him? Did she choose Mason?! Would she text him to say what she had chosen straight away? Or leave him waiting… wondering?
His mind was in overdrive. And not just during day light. His mind seemed to become even more active at night. He would toss and turn in bed, trying to settle and sleep. But she would occupy his thoughts.
God, waiting for her to decide was torturous. It had only been one week. What if this went on for weeks? A month? Surely, she would not let his misery continue that long? Right?
Evening soon fell on what was, once again, an unproductive day for Baba. Much the same as the previous 6 days, Baba had spent the day meticulously cleaning the suite.
Clearing space in his drawers and cupboards for MC to occupy with her own belongings. She hadn’t even said she’d chosen him, yet he still wanted to prepare her a little space in case she did…
Was he just being foolish?
Settling down on his sofa with a beer in hand, Baba stared at his phone, as though he could miraculously manifest her phoning him.
Ridiculous.
Sighing, he let his head fall forward, his bangs covering his face.
When a vibration caught his attention. His phone, perched on the table, was buzzing. Had he… did he… manifest a phone call?
Looking at the screen he read the name of the one person who’s voice he wished to hear so desperately.
“MC?!” He quickly spoke after his scramble to answer the phone.
“Hey Baba, sorry to call so late. I hope you weren’t too busy?”
Her voice still soothed him, like the gentlest lullaby.
“N-No I wasn’t doing anything.”
“Oh, good. Sorry it’s taken so long for me to call.”
“It’s fine, MC. I told you, you could have all the time you needed.”
God… did he sound desperate? Or too nonchalant? This was stressful. Why was she calling? Had she decided?
His heart rate spiked at the possibility.
“So, uh, Baba… I have to ask… what you said, before at the café… did you really mean it? Did you really it mean it when you said it could be ‘us’?”
“Every word, MC.”
His grip naturally tightened around his phone. This was it. She had decided.
“Baba… it’s you. It’s always been you, and it is always going to be you.”
The words he was desperately praying for tumbled from her lips. Racing towards his door he quickly responded,
“I’m coming to get you, where are you right now?!”
Yet before she could respond he swung his suite door open. Standing there, at his door, was MC. Phone still pressed to her ear.
“I’m here…”
Those were the only words she managed to speak before Baba had pressed his lips to hers in a warm, fierce kiss. Enclosing her body in an embrace, they stumbled back inside his suite, the door swiftly closing behind them.
Their lips didn’t leave one another, as they made their way haphazardly towards the bedroom. Their hands sought each other with practiced moves. Neither forgetting exactly where the other liked to be touched.
Honeyed moans, and gasps was all that could be heard as the night drew on, and the two made up for the time they had lost.
A long night awaited them both…
**
Baba held MC close. Their sweat glistened bodies, enmeshed together within the sheets. His fingers brushed through her locks, enjoying the feel.
“So, uh, I know this is a really weird thing to ask, straight after we’ve just slept together, and all… but uh, what happened with Mason?” Baba asked the question he had dreaded mentioning.
“We ended things. Mutually. He, uh, he saw us talking that day at the café. He heard what you said and he asked me how I felt. I told him I was confused at the time and needed some time to think it over. He was kind. He let me think about it properly. A couple of days ago we sat down to talk again. I told him the truth. About how I still loved you, and despite honestly caring about him, it wasn’t the same. Mason understood. He told me about how he had been grateful that I’d tried to leave everything behind for him, but in the end… he encouraged me to be selfish. To come home.”
“He’s a good guy, eh?” Baba grumbled.
“Why does him being a good guy make you grumble sweetie?” MC laughed, prodding Baba’s pouting lips. Lingering a little longer, running her fingertip over the mouth that not so long ago was seeking out her body.
“If he wasn’t such a nice guy, it would be easier to hate the guy. Yet he encouraged you to come back to me, he wanted you to be happy. Now I’ve got to be thankful for him”
Baba continued to pout. MC giggled, seeing her lover in such a state. Seeing that she was enjoying this, Baba felt both his mischief and lust grow.
“Well… I guess I can spend the rest of my life thanking him by loving you thoroughly” Baba whispered in a honeyed tone. His lips ghosting his lovers’ ear, before descending down to kiss her nape.
MC’s hands slipped into his hair encouraging his ministrations to continue. And Baba was not one to disappoint the desires of a lover.
As they exchanged kisses, and let their hands dance over one another’s bodies. Baba finally felt full again.
He had caught his greatest treasure. And this time, he would polish the gem in front of him, to allow it to fully dazzle. For he now knew just how irreplaceable this particular gem was.
She was home. In his arms, where she belonged. And this time, he wouldn’t let her walk out, through any doors again.

how many shots it would take me to sleep with each bidder
eisuke: (4) would need.. just a few shots to be able to deal with his bullshit long enough to sleep with him but it would most definitely be worth it.
soryu: (3) confidence shots. i would let this man do anything to me.
baba: (1) literally dont need to take a shot before doing this lovely man but i just feel like taking a shot for it.
ota: (7) is he handsome? yes. is he also annoying? yes. i would not be able to put up with his koro thing unless i had a hefty amount of alcohol in my system.
mamoru: (2) i'd jump this man's bones the second i had the chance. i think two shots would be the perfect amount to be just a little tipsy to put up with him but LORD i love this man.
hikaru: (3) listen, i know this man is all shy but i feel like he is a freak in the sheets and i am down to experience that. i'd need a few shots to not be all shy and awkward myself.

KBTBB OC Headcanon: When They Make Her Mad
Eisuke
HYSTERICAL
He’s dead
If it wasn’t for the fact Soryu was holding her back she’d be breaking his bones rn
He probably said something sexist or did something wrong to the MC
She’d find out somehow cuz she’s always observing
Starts sharpening knives to calm down but all she can think about is throwing them at this bitch-
Decides to get some space so she doesn’t end up murdering her boyfriend’s best friend
Soryu makes him apologize to her (well he kinds does)
She accepts the apology for now, but probably does some kind of prank to get revenge
Soryu
She RARELY gets mad at him
But in these rare instances, she just gives him the silent treatment
Back turned and arms crossed
He’s desperately trying to get her to talk
Gives up then leaves to give her space
Talks to the guys about so they give some advice
Horrible, horrible advice
He ends up just buying her some cake because he knows her sweet tooth
Comes back home and sees her just watching TV
Covers her eyes only to uncover them to show her the treat he bought her
She turns to him and kisses his cheek
They both apologize to each other and cuddle
Baba
It’s hard to imagine what he would do to make her mad
Probably broke or stole something of hers or her sisters
Once again, she finds out somehow (Ota-)
She scolds him like a child
He apologizes since it was a mistake (broke into the wrong house)
She decides to believe him and let him off with a warning
Still makes him pay $
Ota
He’s annoying to her in general
ANYTHING could push her to the limit, depending on her mood
He probably compared her to a dog or insulted her some way
She smiles suspiciously and gets up and leaves
Texts Ota to come outside to see her for a “special surprise”
He heads to the entrance and BEHOLD
She has a big dog ready to chase his ass
Makes him apologize
Still lets the dog go as it attacks him with slobbering licks
He definitely learns his lesson
Mamoru
She is a very organized person, so his messy tendencies tend to annoy her
Tries to force him to clean up
He doesn’t do it cuz he’s lazy
She comes back to see the mess still there
Turns petty and decides to take matters in her own hands
After a long nap Mamoru wakes up and screams unexpectedly
His room is FILLED with garbage
OC is sitting in the penthouse laughing about his reaction
He decides to keep his messes in his room from now on
——————————————————————————
Author’s Note: I came up with this idea out of nowhere, and since I’m struggling in college why not just make some short headcanons? If you made it this far, thank you for reading! If you have any kind of suggestions, feel free to tell me!

request: So, um I have an idea of headcanons. How would The Bidders act when they learn that their MC has a incurable disease and she dies at the end? How would they act? @mithology-marveloholick
synopsis: the bidders’ reaction to mc’s diagnosis of cancer and their reaction to her eventual passing.
genre: angst
pairings: mc x eisuke ichinomiya, mc x soryu oh, mc x mitsunari baba
cw: major character death, a whole lotta tears
a/n: thank you for your request! i know you asked for a headcanon, but it just didn’t work out so here are some one-shots instead. i’m not the best writer, but i hope this fulfills your angsty needs. btw, i saw your second ask, but when writing this, i realized that the dialogue you asked me to include just didn’t fit in some of these scenarios, so i cut them out. i hope you’ll forgive me. enjoy!
EISUKE ICHINOMIYA
it was a warm fall evening, eisuke was drinking his evening coffee while mc was cooking supper. for the past week, mc had been unusually distant towards eisuke, she’d tense up whenever he leaned in to kiss her, pull her hand away anxiously whenever he went to take it, heck she wouldn’t even face him after they made love. of course, eisuke was hurt and annoyed by her obvious coldness, but he’d never let her know that. he wished she’d talk to him if she was going through something. what was she hiding from him? she couldn’t be cheating, couldn’t she? the past couple of days had been extremely hectic for the couple and it was their first time being alone together, so eisuke decided to take the opportunity to ask mc about her behavior. when she walked over towards the table and placed their plates on the wooden surface, a frustrated eisuke opened his mouth, however mc beat him to the chase.
“eisuke, i need to talk to you.” mc said, her tone sincere and somber.
“i need to talk to you too.” he said. “why have you been ignoring me these past few days? haven’t i told you before? that i despise being ignored? i’ve been working hard, you know? and there’s nothing i hate more than coming home after a busy day at work than-“
“eisuke, stop!” mc called out, interrupting the ceo’s tangent. eisuke fell silent. crossing his arms, he leaned back against his seat. he waited for her explanation.
“you better have a stellar excuse, or i’ll have to punish you later.” he smirked.
mc took a deep yet shaky breath. she said, “eisuke… i have leukemia.”
silence.
the ceo froze, rendered speechless. he wondered if he was stuck in a horrible nightmare, and if he was, he wondered why he hadn’t worked up yet.
mc broke down, cradling her face in her hands, her tiny body shaking as she spoke, “please, say something.”
as she sobbed, eisuke silently rose from his seat. he made his way towards his girlfriend and held her close in his arms, gently squeezing her trembling figure.
in a low voice, he said, “don’t worry, we’ll- we’ll get through this together, i promise. you’re not leaving me, not today, not tomorrow, not in a year, never.”
“but eisuke-“
“i will find a cure for you. just wait.”
weeks past and eisuke had spent his days tirelessly researching a cure for mc. no matter what her, her doctor, luke or any other doctor told him, he kept looking — looking for a doctor that would cure his beloved — but to no avail. weeks soon turned to months, and before he knew it, he was sitting by her death bed.
“eisuke…” mc whispered gently, delicately caressing the billionaire’s hair, as he rested his head on her lap.
eisuke couldn’t bear to look her in the eyes, he was so deeply ashamed of himself — ashamed of the fact that no matter how hard he worked, he couldn’t solve the only problem that ever truly mattered — he couldn’t save the love of his life.
eisuke squeezed her blanket harder, nuzzling his face in the soft fabric.
“eisuke,” mc breathed, “look at me.”
after a few moments of silence, eisuke finally turned his gaze towards mc. when he did, he instantly regretted it, she looked so weak, so fragile, it was obvious she was in excruciating pain and he hated how he couldn’t just take it away or push it down with a designer purse or a fancy car.
“it’s not your fault, okay? please, don’t-“ she coughed. “don’t blame yourself. i couldn’t bear to see you in pain, i couldn’t bear my last memory of you being seeing you hurt.”
eisuke glanced up at her with pleading eyes, as though begging her not to go. he squeezed her hand. “i don’t want you to leave me.”
“i’m not, i never will. i’ll always be with you, eisuke. maybe not in bone and flesh, but i promise i’ll always be looking over you, from up there.”
eisuke didn’t believe in an “up there”, he didn’t believe in god. but, in that moment, his beliefs began to waver. the words mc spoke gave him strength, hope. “you’ll save a place for me up there, right? besides you?”
she nodded. “i will. i’ll even save you a throne if you ask politely.”
eisuke chuckled, shaking his head. “you always manage to make me smile.”
“i could say the same for you.” she smiled weakly at him. “thank you, for… giving me happiness.”
“mc…”
she kissed him on the forehead. “goodbye, eisuke. i love you.”
“no…” he breathed.
after those words escaped her lips, she slowly closed her eyes, her body falling limp and lifeless. eisuke heard the monitor slowing down, before emitting an endless beeping sound. his heart sank.
“no… NO!” eisuke shouted. “no, please, please, please, no, no, no, don’t leave me. mc, no, please wake up. baby, baby, please don’t leave me! i don’t want to be alone again, please- I NEED A DOCTOR IN HERE, NOW!”
as eisuke kept screaming, pleading for mc to wake up, the health professionals rushed into the once silent room. security had to physically pull the distressed hotel tycoon away from mc’s body, dragging him out into the hallways. once outside, he fell to his knees, bursting into tears on the floor of the hospital. he knew it was the end.
SORYU OH
it was a peaceful sunday afternoon. soryu was reading his detective novel in the living room while waiting for mc to come home. the couple had the day off that day, and since mc hadn’t been feeling good, she decided to go in for a checkup that day. soryu insisted on taking her, but she refused profusely. unbeknownst to him, she already knew what was coming. there was a history of cancer in her family, and she knew that nothing good would come out of that trip to the hospital.
soon, the mobster heard the keys clinking and the front door of the penthouse creak open. he jumped out of his seat and turned to face his girlfriend.
“hey, how did it go?” he asked.
mc glanced down somberly, her eyes full of tears. deeply concerned, soryu rushed towards her, wrapping his big arms around her tiny body.
“shh, hey, what’s wrong?”
“soryu, i-i-“
he rubbed her back soothingly. “shh, take your time, take you time…”
“soryu, i- i have leukemia.” she whispered.
“you, what?” he questioned in disbelief. her voice was so soft, he was sure he had misheard her, at least, he hoped he had misheard her.
with trembling hands, she handed him the hospital documents confirming her diagnosis. “i have leukemia, it’s a form of cancer. i- i don’t have much longer to live.”
soryu took the documents from her and read them over in disbelief. in that moment, he felt as though he wasn’t in his own body anymore, as though the word had stopped revolving. “no, no… this can’t be real…” he muttered, mostly to himself.”
she cried, wrapping her arms around herself. “i’m so sorry…”
he dropped the documents and wrapped his arms around her again. “no, no, don’t apologize. this isn’t your fault. there’s nothing to apologize for.”
“there is! there’s so much we haven’t been able to experience together, so much you had planned for us, so much we haven’t seen yet, but i-i-“ she sobbed. “i ruined it all, god i’m the worst.”
he squeezed her a little bit tighter, trying his best to hold his own tears back. “you’re the strongest woman i’ve ever met, how could you be ‘the worst’?” he pulled away from her, cupping her face with his large warm hands. “i know this situation isn’t ideal, i don’t mind experiencing this pain if it means being with you the whole way. i wish things had turned out different, i do, but… i’d rather lose you prematurely than spend a lifetime never meeting you… i love you, more than you could ever imagine.”
“and i love you, soryu.” she whispered, wrapping her arms around him.
“i promise to never leave your side. i’ll be with you ever step of the way. we can get through this, together.”
soryu kept his promise. as the months passed, he stayed with mc every step of the way. he watched her as she went through her extensive chemotherapy sessions, as she grew violently ill, as she lost her hair and as she eventually became bed bound… he felt more pain through those few month than he had in his entire life. but loyal to his word, he stayed with her, knowing that as long as she was alive, there was no one other than her that he’d rather be with.
soon came the day where he sat besides mc as she laid on her deathbed. soryu held her frail, cold hand, as he watched her slowly slip away. he had been bracing himself for this day since the day she told him about her diagnosis, but nothing could prepare him for the overwhelming grief he felt in that moment. as a mobster, he had lost many of his own in his lifetime, but this, this was different. he was losing the love of his life, someone he could never replace nor forget.
coughing weakly, mc said, “soryu, i-it hurts.”
“shh, it’s okay.” soryu soothingly petted her head. “you’ll be okay, the pain will end soon.”
“but-“ crying quietly, mc gently grabbed soryu’s wrist, the one above her head. she gazed at him with pleading eyes. “i don’t want to leave you.”
when those words escaped her lips, the mob boss broke down. the tears he’d held back all of this time flowing down his cheeks. mc was taken aback, she had never seen him so weak, so hurt. he had been so strong the last few months, keeping a straight face at every doctor’s appointment, giving her the utmost care and attention when she needed it most. but now, it was like that shield he’d held up all this time finally fell apart. soryu was broken, and she felt awful knowing she was the cause of that. she caressed his jet black locks, in an attempt to comfort him.
he trembled as he spoke, “i don’t want to leave you either, mc. i don’t ever want to leave you, but you’re in pain, and if this is what it takes for you not to hurt anymore… i- i’m okay with that.”
mc brought his hand over her cold lips, pressing a gentle kiss on his knuckle. “i love you, soryu.”
“i love you, mc. more than life itself.” he smiled through the tears.
she sighed quietly. “although this, this situation i got myself into — you know with you buying me off of the black market — isn’t ideal, i just want to let you know that i- i wouldn’t change a thing. if whoever or whatever is up there wanted me to relieve this whole ordeal to live a life with you again, i’d do it in a heartbeat.” she laughed. “even when i was in excruciating pain, going through these crazy treatments and stuff, you made it all okay. you made me feel as though everything would be just fine, even when they weren’t.”
“mc…”
“thank you, soryu, for everything.”
soryu smiled softly, before leaning over and pressing a gentle kiss onto mc’s lips. “until we meet again, my mafia princess.”
“until then, my mafia king.”
MITSUNARI BABA
“princess, i’m home~” the thief chirped quietly as he walked into their shared penthouse. it was only three in the morning, and he knew mc would probably be asleep at this time, so he didn’t want to wake her up. but to his surprise, he could hear some noise coming from the master bedroom. they sounded like sniffles, like somebody was crying. curious and concerned, mitsunari decided to go investigate.
he walked towards the bedroom. there, he gently pushed the door open, emitting a small squeaking sound. mc jumped slightly.
“baba!” she said, quickly wiping away her tears. by the look of her swollen face, mitsunari could tell that she had been crying all night. “w-welcome home…”
“princess… what are you doing up at this time?” he asked worryingly. “why are you crying?”
“c-crying? i-i’m not crying!” she turned to the clock. “what time is it? baba, you should really go get ready for bed, it’s late, i-“
mitsunari walked towards their shared bed, sitting at the foot of it. he places a hand on her shin. “princess, what happened? did someone hurt you?”
“no, i’m fine, i- there was just something in my eye…” she assured, her voice shaking.
“princess…” he scurried closer to her. “you know i hate it when you lie to me… please, tell me the truth, what’s wrong? we told each other we wouldn’t hide secrets from each other, didn’t we?”
mc bursted into tears. mitsunari pulled her close, letting her rest her head on his chest. he soothingly caressed her hair as he gently shushed her. “there, there, it’s okay. i’m here now…”
“i’m so scared, baba…”
“why? what happened? you’re not pregnant, are you?”
“n-no…” she pulled away before looking him in the eye. “baba… i have leukemia, cancer.”
the thief froze, staring down at her with big eyes. questions rushed through his mind, when did this happen? how long has she been hiding her diagnosis from him? why did she hide her diagnosis from him? how much longer did she have to live? what about their future? do they even have one together? there was so much he wanted to ask her, but words wouldn’t escape his lips.
“what…” he breathed.
“i’m so sorry.” she sobbed. “i was so afraid, i didn’t know how to tell you, i- i-“
he squeezed her tighter. “it’s okay, angel, it’s okay…”
“i don’t want to leave you, baba.”
“you never will, baby.”
he pulled away from her, gently whipping away her tears with his thumb as he cupped her face with his big warm hands.
“no matter what happens to us, i’ll always carry you with me.” he gently took mc’s hand, placing it over his chest. “right here.”
“baba…” she giggles quietly. “your heart is on your left side.”
“oh!” mitsunari quickly shift her hands over to the left side of his chest. “i’m sorry, i guess i still can’t distinguish my left and my right when i’m with you, you make me so nervous.”
“i can tell.” mc laughs. “your heart is beating so fast.”
mitsunari smiles. glancing down at the pocket of his suit jacket, he takes out a beautiful emerald necklace.
“wow, it’s beautiful… did you steal that today?”
he nodded. “i did, it was supposed to go up for auction, but…” he reaches around her neck, clasping the necklace over the nape of her neck. he took a deep breath. “mc…”
she glanced up at him nervously. mitsunari hardly ever called her by her first name, and hearing it leave his lips snapped her back to reality. “y-yes?”
mitsunari chuckles. “i know this isn’t conventional per say, but…” he brings her hand to his lips, kissing her ring finger. “princess, will you marry me?”
mc’s jaw dropped. “w-what?”
“i want you to marry me, mc. i want to call you my wife before it’s too late. whether we live three days or three decades of wedded bliss, i want to marry you.”
tears streamed down mc’s cheeks. she placed a hand over her mouth. “are you serious?”
“never been more serious in my life, baby.” he smiled.
“then, yes! YES!” she threw her arms around him, crying tears of joy into his neck. “of course i’ll marry you, i love you so much, baba.”
he chuckled. “and i love you princess.” he kissed her cheek.
they were married a few short weeks later. it was a small, intimate ceremony, with only the bidders, mc’s parents and mitsunari’s gardian in attendance. mitsunari loved everything big, elaborate, in-your-face and extravagant, in fact that’s what he had originally planned for their wedding, but he didn’t want to stress mc out or overwhelm her, not on her special day. but as mitsunari had predicted, their days of wedded bliss were very few. the cancer grew quickly, and soon, mc was too weak to leave her bed. per her request, she would die at home, with mitsunari besides her, laying on the same bed he proposed to her on.
as mc slept beneath layers upon layers of blankets, mitsunari held her hand, keeping an eye on her as she slept. the thief hadn’t slept much since she had become bed bound, only sleeping one or two hours every night. he was too busy tending to her, watching over her, making sure she was okay, making sure that no exterior factor could harm her.
luke entered the room, mitsunari turned his sunken eyes towards the doctor. “lu! how is she doing? how are her test results?”
luke shook his head. “not great, i’m afraid.” he sighed sadly. “i don’t think she has much longer left.”
“no…” mitsunari mumbled, turning his gaze towards mc. “it’s too soon… we just got married a couple weeks ago.”
luke approached the sleep deprived thief, taking a better look at his face. mitsunari’s eyes looked empty, as though the life had been sucked out of them. the hazel irises had turned muddy, and the white of his eyes were bloodshot. his complexion was pale, blueish, and his under eye circles were so bad, they even took luke aback.
“micchi, you don’t look very good.” he noted. “you should really get some rest.”
“NO!” mitsunari said. “i-i mean, no… i can’t…” he turned towards mc. “i need to stay up, to protect her.”
“micchi, there’s nothing you can-“
mitsunari raised his voice, “i don’t care! listen, i couldn’t protect her from this cancer, so the least i can do is protect her from everything else that is bad in this world!” he sighed. “don’t you get it, lu? i feel powerless, and this is the only thing i can do that’ll make me feel better.”
luke nodded. “i understand. take care, micchi.”
with that, the doctor left the room. mitsunari took a deep breath, as the door closed. he placed mc’s cold hand over his cheek, gently caressing it.
“b-baba?” mc muttered, slowly waking up.
“princess! you’re awake!”
“yeah, i’m- argh!” she hissed.
“princess! are you okay?” mitsunari panicked.
“i-i’m fine… it’s just… it hurts, baba… it hurts a lot.”
“i know, princess… but you’ll be okay, i promise…” he said, lovingly caressing her hair.
“but baba, will you?”
“huh?”
“will you be okay?” she asked.
mitsunari swallowed, momentarily stopping his movements. “i-i hope i’ll be, at least, i’ll try to be… for you.”
“i hope you know that this isn’t your fault, baba. none of this is your fault. you did your best to take care of me, and for that i am grateful.” she smiled. “i love you so much, baba.”
“and i love you more, princess.” he said, before pressing a gentle kiss on her lips.
he glanced down at the matching rings on their fingers, smiling sadly.
as though she was reading his mind, she said, “i’m so happy we’re married.”
“so am i.”
“thank you, baba, for giving me everything a girl could wish for. i hope you know how happy you’ve made me.”
he smiled, salty tears rolling down his cheeks. “and thank you, for making me the happiest man on earth.”
she leaned over, kissing his cheek. “goodbye, mr. baba.”
“until we meet again, mrs. baba.”
mc smiled sadly before closing her eyes for one last time. mitsunari felt the life slip out of her body, as her hand fell limp in his. her skin soon turned as cold as the metal band on her finger, and that’s when he knew she was gone. the thief broke down, resting his forehead on his forearm as he sobbed endlessly into the bedsheets.

KBTBB High School Headcanons!
Tumblr media
Eisuke - I’d say Eisuke probably had straight A’s without trying. He was every girl's crush at school. All of the teachers loved him, giving their best reviews on report cards. Though, didn't have many friends, despite talking to a school day’s worth of people. The people he did call friends were just those he believed would benefit him in the future. You know the anime, “Haven’t you heard? I’m Sakamoto” basically, he’s a kid who’s perfect. Always ten steps ahead, girls love him, guys respect him, teachers admire his grades, that type of thing. That’s Eisuke. He avoids conflict and is always a step ahead. Pop quiz? He knew about it a week before.
Tumblr media
Soryu - When you first see him you think he’s a bully, which is attractive in a way. Turns out he’s just a quiet kid, though there’s definitely an abnormal strength about him. The person everyone fights to get on their team during gym class. Decent grades, probably would get a B in math if it weren’t for the teacher being scared of him. I can imagine him holding a lot of pain in, especially with his home life. Unapproachable, to say the least. Only has one or two friends at most but keeps everyone at arm's length. He’s, surprisingly, not the fighting type however I can see him getting into one fight if he saw a girl being bullied.
Tumblr media
Shuichi - Him and Eisuke are constantly battling for top marks. Everytime one gets an A- the other mocks them for the entire week. Unlike Eisuke, Shuichi actually studies. Some could argue he doesn’t need too, but still does. His desk is always clean, and his notes are perfect. The teachers always entrust responsibilities to him. They even joke about having him as the principal when he’s older. Probably the type of kid that puts a lot of pressure on himself. That, and he just grew up having high expectations set on him. Doesn’t date. At all. He denies every girl that tries. Has been labeled as an “impossible catch”. Believes studies comes first and would break his concentration.
Tumblr media
Ota - Ota is the popular kid. Everyone’s friends with him. He’s always hanging out with someone. One day it’s the drama club, the next it’s the art club. Did I mention the art teacher loves him? He doesn’t do the best academically, but his art teacher is so impressed, she offers to write a college recommendation letter. Again, everyone loves him. He’s the type of person a fight would break out over in the cafeteria, because everyone wants him at their table. Between him and Eisuke, the girls can’t decide who they want to date first.
Tumblr media
Baba - Baba is the playboy all the girls warn each other about. At last, between his dashing smile and adoring personality, almost every girl has fallen for him once. People probably think he rides a motorcycle. He doesn’t, still, he gives off friends to lovers vibes. Despite his efforts, he always gets dumped due to his flirtatious nature. If anyone were to get pregnant during high school, the chances of him being the dad are 9/10. Quite responsible though. Takes accountability and helps his girlfriend through it. Supports her decision and promises to marry her, if that’s what she wants.
Tumblr media
Mamoru - Mamoru is the kid who barely anyone knows. He sits next to you yet, if someone asked, you’d deny that he was in your class. He’s either not in class or sleeping/barely paying attention. They call him “Big Bromoru” because he acts like everyone’s big brother. “Shouldn’t you be doin your homework instead of talkin in the halls, eh?” Literally to random people in the hallway. Though, for some reason, it makes him admirable. No one dares say anything rude back, knowing they’d have the whole school as a target. He’s respected by all the kids there, even if he isn’t very noticeable.

As per my suggestion...!!
heres the promised mermaid au fic!!! I might not ever finish it because theres a lot of worldbuilding and writing stuff that i dont have time for😔i havent looked over this in a while and it isnt beta read either so ignore any mistakes!! All that aside now, pls enjoy!!
Well, here I am.
Looking up, her expression hardly wavered at the luxurious and magnificent hotel she stood in front of.
Here it is. Tres Spades.
Her glance shifted low to the dark blue dress she wore specifically for the famous I.V.C held at the hotel. Her pearl necklace reflected the huge amount of light from both the inside and outside and her silk, white gloves held onto a matching white clutch. She wasn't gonna look like anyone present at the party, but she was fine with that. The party wasn't what was on her mind anyway, it didn't matter if she stood out or not.
All she had to do was get to the penthouse.
Walking through crowds and crowds of people, her white heels clicked with every step she took on the recently cleaned floor. As she reached the room the I.V.C was held at, she was suddenly startled by someone talking behind her.
"Woah! I've never seen you around here. Is this your first time attending the I.V.C perhaps?"
She spun around to find two men looking at her, their eyes not leaving hers. She recognized one of the two almost instantly.
"Oh! Why yes, this is my first time here. I was looking for Mr. Ichinomiya? He was supposed to escort me to the party." She flashed a radiant smile, hoping to catch the two off-guard. As she stared at them, she realized the identity of the second man who strangely wore a fedora hat.
"Oh! We're his accomplices, and I haven't heard anything about you from Mr. Ichinomiya...would you give us your name?" The blonde smiled, crossing his arms and waiting for an answer. Her heart slowly began beating faster as she thought of a made-up name.
"Misaki. My name is Misaki." She extended her hand out for a handshake, which the brunette took and gave the back of it a gentle kiss. Her heartbeat slowly went back to normal and her smile slightly fell.
"A beautiful name for a beautiful lady. My name is Mitsunari Baba, but you can call me Micchy or Mitsu for short. And you probably already know who my friend is." Baba glanced back and forth between the blonde and the woman.
"Of course, Kisaki Ota. I'd be ashamed if I didn't know who you were." She bowed and internally cringed, her patience slowly running low. She wasn't here to chat up some men...but, if they managed to get her up to the penthouse, at least the lying would be worth it.
"You flatter me Miss Misaki! Now, what was that about Mr. Ichinomiya escorting you to the I.V.C?"
"Ah, right. We talked over the phone weeks prior to the I.V.C, but he must have forgotten. He's a busy man after all, and so am I." Lying in situations as such was her specialty, but for some reason she felt as if she was being read easily. Can they tell?
"Boss is a very busy man. If you'd like, we could escort you around the I.V.C ourselves?" Baba gave her a handsome smile that would swoon women in her place, but she was barely phased. It wasn't her job to begin flirting with a thief.
She tried to shake off the unusual feeling she felt when she realized Ota's smile had also fallen a bit as he stared at her. Not at her, but her necklace specifically. The only explanation that sat right with her was that he'd been looking at it from an artist's point of view. She didn't know if he realized the necklace was made out of real pearls, however.
"I would appreciate it very much, Mitsunari." She smiled again for the sake of being polite.
From nearly getting lost in the sea of people to stumbling upon a mysterious looking hallway and being sold at a black market auction held in the basement of the hotel, she was only a few steps away from her goal. It didn't matter who bought her, she would escape them either way. Her eyes were set on finding one man and that man only. Her surprise when she heard she was sold to seat #100 came as a shock even to her. She fell right into the hands of the man she had her eyes on.
The cage she sat in had been carried all the way up to the penthouse, her heart racing as she realized how close she was to her target. Even if they didn't speak and wore masks, she knew exactly who the two men that carried her up there were as well.
And when she was brought in, she found herself face to face with him. Eisuke Ichinomiya.
"Who are you?"
"Boss, this is the lady that we-"
"If you let me out of this cage, I will tell you exactly who I am and what I'm doing here."
She stared at the five men who stared back at her. Her smile from earlier was replaced with a fierce gaze at Eisuke, who was staring at her cautiously.
"And how do we know you don't have any ulterior motives?" A strong looking man stood up which she quickly identified as Soryu, Eisuke's childhood friend and a mobster.
"If your security is good at checking whether or not people have weapons on them, then you don't have to be afraid Mr. Oh." She held her chin high and smiled internally at his slightly bewildered face.
"...You know who we are?" Eisuke spoke, eyebrows narrowing as he stared at her through his eyelashes. She could sense he was conflicted and a little confused.
"I know you all. And we'd be able to talk like normal people if you let me out of this cage," She crossed her arms, gaze not faltering as she stared back at Eisuke, "But we probably already know the phrase "normal people" doesn't suit you at all, right Ichinomiya?"
She saw his eyebrow twitch. As she guessed earlier, Baba and Ota took their masks off, their gazes switching back and forth between the woman and Eisuke.
"Is your definition of a succesful individual 'abnormal'?" Eisuke crossed his arms and took a sip of his wine, placing it on the table in front of him afterwards.
"I think we both know what I mean here." Her gaze went to the wine glass in front of him. Lowering her open palm, she aimed it directly at the glass before knocking it over, the wine spilling on Eisuke's leg.
All the men's eyes widened and Eisuke swiftly stood up, panic evident on his features.
"Eisuke, go!" Soryu suddenly yelled at him. Realizing he had to move as fast as he could, he dashed towards the staircase with a curse, managing to make it up before anyone could see anything.
When they made sure he was out of sight, everyone shot a glare at the woman. Only Ota seemed to stand still, still comprehending what had just happened.
"What the hell was that?" Soryu approached the cage, gun in hand now. The woman only grinned as the realization that she'd indeed found the man she was looking for began setting in.
"I think you know exactly what it was." Her fingers tapped at the golden cage as the mobster stared her down. She felt confident knowing she wouldn't be killed in that moment after what she did. They needed answers and she was aware of that. There was also no way they'd let her go unless they heard the full story, unless they didn't let her go at all. She was bought by them after all.
"I...don't get it. How did you knock over that glass?" Baba stared, still a little stunned. She rolled her eyes and glanced at the thief who was looking at her for an answer.
"I'm pretty sure you know that as well." Before looking away, she caught a glimpse of Ota looking almost...solemn, as he stared off into the distance.
"Come on now, you can't all play dumb. I'm here for one reason and one reason only."
"And that is?"
"Eisuke."
Soryu stared at her once more with a stern look on his face. Was he gonna let her out? She made it clear she'd explain everything if she was out of the cage...but how could he trust her like that? Especially when he didn't even know her name?
"Open the cage Mitsunari." A deep voice from the back spoke, the woman recognizing it as Mamoru's. At least he's not entirely stupid, as much as he is lazy.
Baba hesitantly reached into his pocket to take out a key, Soryu stepping away to make space. Opening the cage, the woman stepped out, arms crossed over one another. The men continued to stare at her for a moment before they heard footsteps coming from the staircase.
Her eyes immediately locked with Eisuke's as she looked up. He looked both furious and confused as he walked down each step.
"I'm gonna ask this one last time. Who are you and what are you doing here?" Making his way towards her, he stood in-between Baba and Soryu, eyes staring daggers into the woman. He only recieved a grin in return.
"I heard a siren call from miles away, and it lead me here in your hotel."
The CEO stared in pure confusion. He almost wanted to laugh at how ridiculous she sounded. A siren call. Is she for real?
Sure, it might not have sounded...that ridiculous, given the situation he was suddenly thrust into in less than twenty seconds. His eyes traveled to her neck adorned by the pearl necklace. He could feel his throat going dry even as he swallowed.
Those are real pearls.
And, sure, seeing real pearls hung on a string as an accessory wasn't the most unusual thing Eisuke had seen. But the way this woman was dressed bewildered him.
He estimated the cost of both her dress and heels were most probably around 200 dollars. Her gloves were made of silk, therefore they had to have been a little expensive. The pearls were what threw him off. A single, real white pearl was already expensive, but her necklace consisted of at least thirty pearls that varied in colors and shapes. He even recognized one of the rarest blue pearls hung onto the string, and he could feel the nervousness bubbling to the surface the more he stared.
"You've...gotta be kidding right?" The thief asked, gaze shifting to Eisuke who tried so hard to keep his expression as neutral as possible. Both him and Soryu were begining to catch onto the situation.
"I'm very serious. I came here specifically to talk to Eisuke, on behalf of my people."
"Your...people?" Puzzled, Soryu raised an eyebrow at her, his eyes now also shifting to look at Eisuke.
"I know what you are Eisuke. And we need your help." The woman's tone slowly morphed into one of pleading, as did her expression. Eisuke stared for what seemed like hours before sighing and turning his back to her.
"You have five minutes to explain."
"Five?!"
"Yes, only five."
She stared at his back as he walked over to the couch and sat down, Soryu and Baba following. She was glad she got the opportunity to talk...but five minutes? Really?!
"Alright I...just, do you mind bringing a glass of water?" Her gaze went to the artist who seemed to think about her question a little longer than he had to before nervously answering.
"Sure..." He put on a smile and strode over to the kitchen in the penthouse. Taking a deep breath before exhaling, her gaze returned to Eisuke who now sat on the couch, waiting for his explanation.
"First of all, I'd like to apologize for barging in all of a sudden and spilling wine on you. You were probably all confused and angry, especially you, Ichinomiya." Her heels clicked as she walked over to the four men, Eisuke's eyebrows forming into a frown as he recalled what happened.
"Apologize another time, get to your story." He swiftly crossed his legs and rest his chin in his palm as he waited for her to begin, as if he were a teacher about to listen to a student's excuse for a missed assignment.
By the time she stopped staring Eisuke down, Ota had come back with a glass of water as she'd asked. Funny how she has barely been here for five minutes and is ordering people around as if she owns the penthouse.
Thanking the artist, she set the glass down on the coffee table and waited for Ota to grab a seat, only for him to stand next to the couch Baba, Soryu and Eisuke sat on.
"As I said...I know what you are, Eisuke. Even if you might not know exactly what you are, we desperately need your help." She began, voice brave despite her slowly plummetting spirit.
"Who is this "we" you've been throwing around?" Baba exclaimed before getting interrupted by the woman.
"I'll get there. Let me explain."
"You fell into a pool when you were young in London...right?" She raised an eyebrow and looked at Eisuke for his reaction. He definitely didn't disappoint. His eyes went wide and he was now listening to her more cautiously, the nervous feeling on the verge of overflowing.
"You became a mermaid. Or...a merman. Otherwise known as a siren." She explained like she was some lunatic, but Eisuke knew better than to assume that when she was right. Except he had no idea what she meant by the siren part of it.
"How do you know any of this. Only my manager and some acquaintances are aware of what happened. How did you manage to find out what happened a decade ago?"
"That's not important. What is important is that I'm a real mermaid born at sea, and my people have and I have been threatened by the human race for years," She looked down, remembering the last moments with her family before they were taken from her, "They sacrificed themselves so I would stay alive and get help."
"It took you this long to find me?" Eisuke interrupted, his thoughts now racing. Had she been stalking him? Did she somehow bribe someone to tell her about him? What kind of help did she need exactly?
"I've known about you ever since you fell into that pool. You see, I'm from Britain myself, and all of us have known about you ever since that day." She explained briefly, not leaving any room for questions as she continued quickly afterwards.
"You're the first merman to have ever fallen in the pool in that cave in nearly sixty years. It just so happened that you became a siren on the day the last merman transformed 43 years before you did." She briefly caught a glimpse at Ota looking down at the floor as if he was holding something back. Did he wanna ask a question?
She decided to ignore it, passing it as just him being lost in his thoughts.
"This is...too much information," Eisuke rubbed his temple, her words barely registering. He was finally used to being this weird form of a human after so long, and suddenly there's so much information shoved into him it's almost too overwhelming.
"You think? You gave me five minutes to explain, I'm using that time wisely." She may have been aware of the conflicted situation he was in at that moment as he slowly took in what she was saying. Still though, she figured she might as well drop the bomb as quickly as she could, even if it confused Eisuke at first.
"We've been looking for a siren for years now due to our problems with the human race. And that just so happened to be you..."
Her frightless demeanor began to wear off, quickly replaced by someone in genuine need of help. Eisuke stared at her, her words still registering. So he was a siren. Was it good that he finally knew his identity after so many years? He certainly didn't feel any better knowing, that's for sure. What if she was lying?
"Can you prove to me in any way that you're telling the truth?"
The woman stared at him. Of course, Eisuke Ichinomiya of all people would never believe some girl suddenly showing up at his penthouse, telling him he was a damn siren and that there were real mer-people living in the sea with no proof. The whole story seemed like a sick joke. Even if she knew things many others hadn't known, even if she held information that Eisuke had never revealed publicly...he had to know.
"If you'll allow me to," She raised her open palm once more and focused her energy on the glass of water in front of her. Soon enough, they saw what looked like a bubble rise out of the glass. Eisuke knew she wasn't lying the moment he saw the "bubble" rise higher and higher, but still wanted to see what she would do. As the water reached her head, her hand suddenly dropped to her side, as did the bubble. The CEO's eyes widened as it splashed over her head and he was already begining to count down the seconds it took for her to transform. No sooner than that did Baba get up and rushed over to her, holding her up by her arms as her legs disappeared and were replaced by a sparkling blue tail.
"Is that enough proof for you, Ichinomiya?"

Crush (songfic)
Eisuke Ichinomiya
Crush - Tessa Violet
»»»»
I can't focus on what needs to get done
I'm on notice hoping that you don't run, ah
Eisuke couldn’t stop thinking about the ridiculous but adorable grin on her face. The man in front of him, a business partner, presenting a partnership deal which went right over Eisuke’s head. His mind fixated on one person in particular.
You think I'm tepid but I'm misdiagnosed
'Cause I'm a stalker I seen all of your posts, ah-ah
What a strange woman
She wasn’t afraid of him as he kept his cold demeanour. Her constantly changing expressions, he found them rather intriguing.
And I'm just tryna play it cool now
But that's not what I wanna do now
And I'm not tryna be with you now, you now
Jealous. He felt jealous when she laughed at one of Baba’s weird jokes or when she got close to other auction managers but of course, Eisuke couldn’t quite put his finger on this foreign emotion.
But I could be your crush, like
Throw you for a rush, like
Hoping you'd text me so I could tell you
I been thinking 'bout your touch like
he’s never felt like this before
Touch, touch, touch, touch, touch
I could be your crush, crush, crush, crush, crush
He scoffed at his own antics, thinking about the time he gave her that gorgeous platinum ring that fit perfectly on her slender fingers, like it was made just for her.
I got a fascination with your presentation
Making me feel like you're on my island
You're my permanent vacation
Eisuke found himself thinking more and more about a certain maid.
Touch, touch, touch, touch, touch
I could be your crush, crush, crush, crush, crush
And when he did, he smiled despite himself, oblivious to the fact that he was falling.
I fill my calendar with stuff I can do
Maybe if I'm busy it could keep me from you
She was like a breath of fresh air in his boring and vile life.
And I'm pretending you ain't been on my mind
But I took an interest in the things that you like, ah-ahh
Eisuke would page her to see her angelic face under the excuse of coffee, the auction managers aware of his acts.
And I'm just tryna play it cool now
But that's not what I wanna do now
And I'm not tryna be with you now, you now
Why did he want to absolutely devour her when he saw her in the dresses he specifically chose for her?
But I could be your crush, like
Throw you for a rush, like
Hoping you'd text me so I could tell you
I been thinking 'bout your touch like
Why did Eisuke Ichinomiya’s heart palpitate at the sight of her?
Touch, touch, touch, touch, touch
I could be your crush, crush, crush, crush, crush
Eisuke Ichinomiya, a successful businessman, at the top of the world, exceptionally good looking and talented. He could have any woman, most of them throwing themselves at him, then why did he only want the female he bought at his black market auction for 20 Million Dollars?
I got a fascination with your presentation
Making me feel like you're on my island
You're my permanent vacation
“That’d be all. Do you agree with these terms Mr. Ichinomiya?” The man, Ishiguro Kirishima, asked as he collected the papers and the contract. Eisuke snaped out of his thoughts at his voice, slightly embarrassed that he was distracted by the thoughts of her throughout the meeting.
Touch, touch, touch, touch, touch
I could be your crush, crush, crush, crush, crush
“I’ll review it first.” Eisuke said grabbing a pen with the Ichinomiya group logo on it.
What are you doing to me, woman

KBTBB - My Muse (Ota Kisaki Fanfic)
Tumblr media
Prologue
The aroma of coffee filled up the shop. Freshly baked pastries were displayed. Although the coffee shop has been open for quite a while, visitors can’t help but feel the same warmth and excitement whenever there is something new in the menu. The four gentlemen were glad that they visited at a good time because a decent number of customers occupied the room. Though, some of them weren’t happy to be interrupted in their day-off.
“This is such a pain…” said one of the men with messy dark gray hair and a little chin beard.
“It’s a pain to be with a lazy detective like you,” retorted the man beside him who had his black hair slicked back.
“What did you say?” the gray-haired man glared at him.
“Hey now!” called out the oldest among them before the two could declare a fist fight, or worse, one of them could shoot the other, “we’re here to have a great time!”
“I don’t even know why Eisuke wants us ALL to be here.”
“For best friends, you don’t seem to listen to him, Soryu.” spoke up the man with wavy and messy brownish-orange hair that was parted on his left.
Soryu didn’t say anything back, but sipped his cup of coffee. Eisuke gave an easy-looking yet difficult task to him and the other three: Baba, Mamoru and Ota. They had to go to this coffee shop that has been receiving good reviews lately and they had to report back to him on what they think. So far, they, well Baba and Ota, liked the atmosphere and drinks.
“So, Ota, you’re the artist here, what do you think of the design?” Baba asked the younger, who was looking around the room.
“Not bad. The design does live up to their name, Wonderland.” said the young artist.
The coffee shop brought a feeling of being in the children’s book, Alice In Wonderland. Though the atmosphere wasn’t really romantic, couples still go on dates there. The atmosphere was just right.
“I like their croissant,” said Mamoru as he took a bite of his bread.
“Of course, you do,” snickered Soryu, rolling his eyes, however, the detective ignored him. He sighed, “Let’s just hurry up and give our report to Eisuke.”
A young girl who wore a mask that covered half of her face, went out from the secret room of the coffee shop. Eyes were on her as her mysterious yet enchanting aura attracted almost everyone in the room. With hands shoved in her black blazer jacket, she walked up to the exit door, trying to escape the bothering stares.
Why can’t they stop looking at her whenever she goes out from the private room?
“Let me just head to the toilet then we’ll go,” said Ota.
“Hurry up, kid. I don’t want to waste my day-off here.” rumbled Mamoru.
“Yeah yeah, old geezer. I’ll do it quickly.” the younger quickly stood up and headed to the washroom until…
THUD
Ota bumped into the girl whose everyone’s eyes were on. Gladly, he didn’t fall because that will just bring an embarrassment to his reputation. Though, the poor girl did.
“Hey, are you alright?” He asked, as he swiped the dirt off his pants and held down his hand to the girl.
“Ota, it isn’t nice to bump into beautiful ladies.” commented Baba, who along with the other guys, saw the whole thing.
“Shut up. It was an accident.”  Ota gave a glare to his thief friend then looked back to the lady who he bumped into.
“Are you okay?” he asked again.
The girl sighed, standing up, taking no acknowledgement of the young artist’s hand. She was atleast respectful and looked at him in the eyes. Ota’s gasped silently. Despite that half of her face being covered, he stared at the most beautiful eyes he had ever seen.  At first those black eyes were soulless and lifeless yet as he stared at them more, he saw it. An endless depth of sorrow and pain. He saw it for a glimpse until he was softly poked on the shoulder.
The girl poked him to get his attention since he looked like he was daydreaming. Sighing, she bowed as a sign of apology for bumping into him then ran off of the cafe. Ota stared at her back until she was out of  his sight. It was like she came in his life for a second then left.
“Hey, Ota,” He was pulled out from his thoughts when his name was called and turned around, finding three “old” men, as he called them, smirking at him. He knew that look and he knew that he would not hear the end of it.
"Let's go before Eisuke could kill us." Ota rushed out of the café, hiding the blush forming on his cheeks. He heard them laugh but shrugged it off as he got in the back seat of their car. As he waited for them, he thought back to the girl with beautiful eyes. Inspired, he brought out a sketchbook and his graphic pencil from his bag that he always carried when he goes out in case that he feels inspired. Right now, it was one of those moments.
He started sketching, keeping the memory of the coal-black eyes. They reminded him of how he viewed the world: dark and cold. Is that how she viewed it too? It was a rushed sketch, but to him, it was already a masterpiece.. But it wasn't enough. The urge of seeing them grew bigger. He needs to see them again. Perhaps, not just the eyes, but the girl as a whole too.
In the bottom part of the paper, he wrote Alice. He didn't know her name but he met her in the coffee shop called Wonderland. He grew frustrated.  He needs to know her name.
He has never felt this way before but she became his muse...

She Should Be With Me
Hey Hey! 😋 So I thought I would do a set of stories, that are all based on the same beginning for each of the KBTBB guys.
Honestly, not 100% sure how or if it will work out exactly right, but it was a random thought I had the other day, WHILE I still um and ah about whether to post the longer fic I wrote recently...😂🤣
As always, I'm honestly just posting these on here as a place for me to keep them, and if anyone see's them and enjoys them too then that's a bonus!😊❤️
So the idea for these stories is...
MC works at the hotel and has caught the attention of the bidder's. Each story has the KBTBB guy having already fallen for MC, however, she is already in a relationship with someone else. That is, until, for whatever reason (will be different in each of the stories), MC and her boyfriend break up. The question is, is it a normal break up? Did their romance just fizzle out, or was there deeper feelings involved?
So... this post is the Prologue to the stories. I'm then going to do a second post with the first of the stories. My plan is to post one a week, but who knows! 😋
~ 1183 words
Disclaimer - Characters belong to Voltage Inc, story idea is my own.
Stretching out in their small, cosy double bed, MC smiled as her arm bumped into the man sleeping beside her. Rolling over, she watched as her loving boyfriend slept peacefully, unaware of her admiring gaze. It was a blissful happiness.
Planting a soft kiss to his cheek, MC got out of bed. She headed into the kitchen, inside their small apartment building, and set out making breakfast. Freshly cut fruit platers, eggs, bacon and sausages were laid out onto the small dining table. Finally, she brewed some freshly ground coffee beans, a purchase she had made to celebrate their first morning together after moving into their new home.
MC was remembering how her boyfriend had asked her to move in with him on their 3rd anniversary. She had met her boyfriend when he trained her as a new recruit at the Tres Spades hotel when she was just 18. They had become fast friends and were soon spending a lot of time together. MC was 21 when her boyfriend finally plucked up the courage to ask her out on an actual date… and the rest was history.
A buzzing from MC’s phone drew her back from her reminiscing. She had received an email from Kenzaki, the manager at the hotel. He requested her presence for an important meeting… Immediately.
Hurrying to get read, MC left a note with the breakfast and coffee for her lover and headed out of their home. Rushing to get to the hotel for this very important meeting.
20 minutes later and MC was hurrying along the boardwalk by the hotel. Almost there! As she was running, in her haste, she bumped into someone.
“Woah! Watch where ya goin’ kid!” the man she had just bumped into shouted after her.
“Sorry Sir!” Waving an apologetic hand behind her, she kept running, not once looking behind her to see who she had run into.
The man chuckled. She never changes, he thought, a kind look in his eyes as he watched her continue her journey to the hotel.
As she continued running two more men called out after her in surprise.
“Hey pretty lady!”
“Koro? What’s the rush?”
Continuing to run, MC quickly waved and shouted back,
“Sorry Guys, can’t stop to play with you today, I’m late for my meeting!” With that as her reply, she continued on her way.
The men watched on, amused looks on their faces. That’s our MC, they both thought gazing kindly after her.
She was almost at the meeting room when someone grabbed her arm. Shocked, MC turned and looked at the man who held onto her arm. Cold eyes, melted into a warmth as his features softened.
“Come on, MC, you know you shouldn’t be running through the hotel!” the man slowly let go of her arm.
“Ahh sorry sorry! I know! I’m late so I’ll chat to you later, and I promise I’ll really mean my apology then!” Once again MC began to run to her meeting.
The man sighed exasperatedly watching the young woman take off running once again despite his warning. Yet he couldn’t fight the chuckle and slight smile from coming out as he watched her go, with a gentleness to his harsh eyes.
Finally, finally she was at her meeting. Panting, MC burst through the door and attempted to calm her breathing.
“You’re late, MC.” The manager spoke.
“I’m sorry Sir” MC responded, having gotten her breathing settled.
“Anyway, let me explain why you are here. You have a new role here at the hotel. You are going to be working in the penthouse from now on, in addition to your other duties. This is a big step up, MC. You were requested by the owner himself for this role. Keep doing us proud”
“Th-thank you Sir” MC replied happily. A promotion?! Her life was going brilliantly. She was ecstatic. Kenzaki handed her the penthouse pager and key card and sent her on her way.
She rode in the elevator up to the top floor. Stepping off the elevator she entered the penthouse lounge. There sat the owner. He noticed as MC entered and levelled her with a cool glare.
“You’re late” He moaned. MC straightened up and then bowed, apologetically. “Coffee.”
He coolly demanded, and MC immediately set about readying his drink for him.
Handing him the mug of freshly grounded coffee. MC made it exactly to his liking, lots of milk and sugar. She saw as his features melted with that first sip, allowing him to relax.
“You always make the perfect cup of coffee” He praised.
“Thank you, Mr Ichinomiya.” MC replied, meeting his gaze.
“How many times do I have to tell you, its Eisuke.” He complained at the distance referring to him so formally seemed to put between them.
“B-but I’m working” MC tried to reason. But Eisuke wasn’t having any of it.
“It’s fine… if it’s you.” He mumbled the final part. MC was about to ask him to repeat what he had said but the lounge door opened up and the other men she had spoken to earlier walked in. Soryu, who had told her to stop running, Ota and Baba who spoke to her outside the hotel, and Mamoru who she had bumped into on the boardwalk.
“Whatcha doin’ here kid?” Mamoru asked, exhaling on a cigarette.
“Oh, I just got promoted to the penthouse! Apparently Eisuke asked for me in particular?” MC replied, looking at Eisuke for confirmation.
“We needed a maid for here. MC gets on with all of us, and so it was easier to have someone we could trust than just anyone” Eisuke responded, brushing the promotion off slightly.
“Well, I best get started!” MC smiled, but she was stopped by the sound of her phone buzzing. Reading the message, she smiled.
“Who was that?” Eisuke asked.
“That? Oh it was Mason, thanking me for the breakfast I made”.
At the sound of his name, all the others face’s hardened and silence followed.
“Oh, you made him breakfast, guess that is why you were running late this morning instead of coming from the dorms!” Ota spoke casually.
“Oh um, not exactly.” MC replied, quietly, unsure of what to say.
“What do you mean ‘not exactly’?” Soryu asked. The others looking more interested now, too.
“Oh, well, you see… I no longer live in the dorms… Mason asked me to move in with him, and I said yes.”
“WHAT!?!” The bidders all exclaimed at once. Surprised at what they had just heard.
Yet none were as surprised as him. He felt his heart rate spike. His stomach dropped. Hurt at this progression. Jealous that rather than coming home to him, she would return there to Mason. All those secret looks they had shared. Secret smiles, longing gazes. He was sure it hadn’t just been him feeling those things. But what could he do? He wasn’t a child, he couldn’t just throw a tantrum.
All he knew was he would do something. Anything. Anything for her to fall in love with him and forget about her boyfriend.

Having a snowball fight---KBTBB
Christmas Countdown--- Day 19
“You’ll never catch me old man!” Ota taunted, while sticking his tongue out at Baba.
“Ota! There’s no need to be cruel,” Baba replied with a pout.
The two troublemakers were returning from lunch and were nearly in front of the Tres Spades, when Ota thought it would be funny to pelt Baba with a snowball. Baba retaliated by quickly forming his own balls of snow and tossing them back at the artist. Distracted by snowballs flying back and forth in the air, Baba and Ota didn’t even notice that Mamoru had been discussing something with Hayami in front of the grand hotel. Mamoru noticed the pair and rolled his eyes while saying goodbye to Hayami.
“What a pain in the ass,” Mamoru sighed, as he trudged over to reluctantly join them. “Stop causing so much trouble. Eisuke is not going to be happy with all the commotion this close to his hotel.”
Still focusing on the snowball fight and ignoring the heed to Mamoru’s warning, they shrugged nonchalantly, and each continued with their quest for victory over the other. Coincidentally, an elongated black limo was now driving up and parked right at the entrance of the Tres Spades.
“Honestly Ichinomiya, I never thought the day would come when I would see you ask me for a favor,” Shuichi smirked, climbing out of the limo after Eisuke.
They were returning from a summit meeting at the embassy, and much to Shuichi’s surprise, Eisuke asked if he could join him in attendance. Eisuke shook his head and scowled while folding his arms over his chest.
“I figured it was time for you to prove how profitable you could be to our operation,” Eisuke remonstrated, “My intuition about turned about to be correct, considering you hold more significance as an ambassador than I had originally anticipated.”
After a lengthy meeting, Eisuke was in desperate need of a coffee. He was about to page MC, when the rambunctious sight of his colleagues tossing snow around like children, forced him to stomp over and put an end to the humiliating scene.
“Your friends always seem to put on quite the performance,” Shuichi chuckled in amusement.
“What do you two think you’re doing?” Eisuke snapped, while neglecting Shuichi’s comment. “I order you to-!”
SMACK!
Eisuke never managed to finish delivering his ultimatum, because a stray snowball landed smack dab in the middle of his face. Everything and everyone seemed to pause at the scene, as Ota and Baba wore matching looks of horror on their faces. A deadly silence hung over the air, until Shuichi burst out into an obnoxious laughter, and swiftly snapped a picture with his phone.
“Hahahahaha, this day may not turn out to be so mundane after all,” the ambassador wheezed in delight.
Meanwhile a regretful Baba tiptoed carefully closer to the billionaire, and Ota hung back, mainly because he was petrified of Eisuke’s reaction.
“Boss,” Baba began to apologize, “It was an honest mistake……there’s no need to do anything rash now.”
After what seemed like a tortures time to wait, Eisuke gradually pulled out his few, and started to make a call.
“Outside. Get here now,” Eisuke barked, before hanging up the phone.
Eisuke wiped the melted snow from his face, and soon Soryu emerged from the Tres Spades, with Ryosuke and Samejima closely in tow. Soryu arrived on scene and used his deductive skills to piece together what happened.
“Eisuke, I would prefer not to make too much of a scene by taking them out in public,” the mobster muttered.
“Soryu, you can’t do that!” Ota pleaded desperately. “We didn’t mean to hit Eisuke! Please, don’t kill us!”
Eisuke had been on the phone during this exchange, and was now making his own snowball, before shooting Ota and Baba an evil grin
“Remember, that revenge is a dish best served cold.”
WHACK!
Ota roared with hilarity, and the thief immediately prepared for battle. Soryu groaned in annoyance but followed suit and commenced a defense strategy.
“Inui, go cover Eisuke!” Soryu barked and turned to Mamoru who had been quietly watching. “Make yourself useful and come help us.”
“I ain’t getting involved,” Mamoru grumbled, “I got to get to work.”
Still, Mamoru made no effort to leave, and instead lit up a cigarette to enjoy the show.
“Ugh, smoking is bad for your health,” Shuichi lectured. He turned to suddenly see Luke and Rhion appear from the hotel and joined the two standing on the sidelines.
“Eisuke called and asked that I come out here,” Luke explained to the others, “Rhion and I were enjoying a cup of tea together, so I invited him along.”
Rhion shyly offered a wave, and his eyes widened at the sight of the snowballs being thrown back and forth between the groups of friends.
“There’s nothing more preposterous than a bunch of grown men, volunteering to act like uncivilized barbarians,” Shuichi complained.
Luke and Rhion had gone off to make their own snow creations, and the battle was beginning to intensify.
“You’re going down Sor!” Baba gleefully taunted, before his throw was cancelled out by Eisuke’s.
“Is that all you got?” Eisuke mocked. “Pathetic.
Ryosuke ran back to gather more snow, when he saw Hikaru and MC stepping outside their workplace. Frantically, Ryosuke ran back trying to warn the others of MC’s prompt arrival.
“Boss! Mr. Ichinomiya! The princess is on her way!”
Everyone’s attention snapped at the sight of their favorite maid, and with a quick glance around at each other, they mutually agreed their snowball fight was over.
“What’s everyone doing out here? It’s unusual for you all to be hanging outside of the penthouse lounge together,” MC curiously questioned the group.
A few of the bidders stared down at the ground, while Baba cleared his throat to offer an explanation.
“Well you see princess, we were fitting in a training session,” he smoothly attempted to rewrite history.
MC didn’t seem to be buying Baba’s explanation, because she tilted her head in confusion.
“Um, did you guys join some sort of team without telling me or something?”
Luke, who was still playing in the snow nearby with Rhion, decided that now would be a great time to rejoin the conversation.
“There was no training happening,” the spacey doctor confronted, “You guys were in the middle of a snowball fight.”
MC’s eyes widened at Luke’s declaration.  She paused for a few moments and bit her lip to hold in her laughter. Eisuke saw MC trying to contain her delight and interjected in hopes of misleading her.
At least, that’s what Eisuke was planning on doing. That is until Hikaru pulled out his phone and showed MC something that did eventually cause her to start giggling.
“Shu sent me a video of today’s escapades,” Hikaru smoothly affirmed.
Now that there was undeniable evidence of their actions, the group of men involved in the activities turned a deep shade of red, and MC appreciated the rare sight of seeing the bidders flustered. The men each awkwardly made excuses to leave, and they soon dispersed their separate ways.
MC shook her head, as she watched everyone else return to the Tres Spades. These guys were a handful, but they were her handfuls.
Her pager buzzed in her jacket pocket, and MC saw Eisuke’s message demanding she make them coffee. Breaking off into a brisk trot, MC rushed back to meet the five-minute deadline, and for once was eager to take her turn on the teasing side of things.

account introduction!
hi! i'm salsa and recently i've decided to make a kbtbb tumblr blog! ♡
WHAT CHARACTERS I WRITE FOR
i will write for eisuke, soryu, baba, ota, mamoru, hikaru, and shuichi! i've played all their routes but shuchi is the only one i'm not suuuper familiar with so i apologize if he seems a little out of character but i'll do my best!
WHAT WILL I NOT WRITE
male reader (as i am a woman and i don't feel i could write it well)
i prefer to not write anything from a bidder's pov but if you really want me to, i can try
large age gaps between the bidders and reader (ex: 17y/o reader)
absolutely no incest.
anything with pee/poop
WHAT WILL I WRITE
i'll write smut, fluff, angst, anything! i'm okay with writing some heavy topics but they will always come with a tw.
feel free to ask me any questions or send some requests! i love writing in my free time and will try to get things done as soon as i can.
i am new to posting on tumblr so bear with me as i learn LOL
