roxas! :3
favorite thing about them: where the FUCK do i begin.. ok actually i know i just reblogged a bunch of posts talking about how hes way more than his anger and angst but. ever since i was little those moments always resonated with me in such a satisfying way yknow?? idk seeing the kid get his life stripped away in the kh2 prologue and actually being super pissed about it after everything he went thru, and watching him slowly become disconnected from everyone he cares about for reasons far beyond his control.. it hit home
least favorite thing about them: uhhhhh. idk. i want him to have more screentime tbh i just hope hes not sidelined too hard in future games
favorite line: "I am me. Nobody else!!!"
brOTP: Roxas n the heart hotel, also Roxas n Naminé!!
OTP: Repliroku is one of my all-time favorites,, also Roxner!! vv sweet i have a big soft spot for em
nOTP: same as brOTP answer plus uh. well. Yknow.
random headcanon: not necessarily a hc but i think itd be sick if he got a keyblade vehicle thing like the wayfinders. also hes aspec. boy was literally born w the aro n ace rings and i think thats very epic of him
unpopular opinion: i dont think he really hates Riku that much? yeah hes got complicated feelings surrounding him but its not.. That bad. he was just another guy in the way back then n Roxas has more or less forgiven other people who did shitty stuff to him. if anything i think itd be funny for Roxas to notice how drastically hes changed since then n be like dude. who the fuck are u
songs i associate with them: Old Scars / Future Hearts by All Time Low and Reflections by We Are In The Crowd !!!!!!!
favorite picture of them: i wanted to put that one manga pic where hes like ( ˊ∀ˋ ) but i cant find it for the life of me so ill put this one instead

ACT 3. SCENE 1: THE INTERROGATION
ACT 3. ESCENE 2:  DELIVERY
His stomach hurt, god, he didn't remember the time of his last meal, it doesn´t matter; everything in his mouth taste like ashes, his hands sweat and his head feel like a ticking bomb, every light was to bright, every sound was to loud.
Joe had lost everything, his children, his wife, his son…
Taichi speak nonsenses since the throne, since Joe´s throne, funny how he continues to lost things: his Kingdom, his authority, his sanity
What time it was? what day? it´s feel so much like to the old days, those days he had lost everything too.
His brothers, his youth, his freedom
Each one of his brothers went to war and comes back in a black coffin; the old island war; the cold King again Genai the usurper; How many children of the island died in the old war?
The war would take his children too? he alloud himself to think about Davis, noble and carefree Davis, big mouth Davis, the kid with endless energy, the boy who eat every meal as if it would be his last, traitor Davis, hostage Davis.
“Can i speak with him?” he wish to sound less desperate, less concern
“I don't think that would be a good idea” Yamato speak as a friend, still Joe could see Davis blood over his knuckles
Yamato, the one that he had never lost, yet.
Sometimes, in the rainy days when Ken was still a boy and brood around the castle with his black cloak and heavy books Joe usually recall about Yamato; and treats him with the same patient and comfort that he would treat his old friend; in another life when Ken would become enough skill with the sword Joe would send him away to the capital; to train with his best friend, to learn for the masters and be the best swordsman of the land.
In the life that they had lost
“Your Sea Majesty, Jou, Jou!”  his response was slow and confuse “Jou, the king of all land ask you a question”
The King watch him with impatien; it has to be something about the heirs, they where so use to be instantly obey, that make them temperamental, a mistake that Joe made with his own son, and sadly with Iory.
No, he don't want to think about Iory
“Davis said that Iory Hida is prepare to surrender” but since when did he get what he want? “That somehow is his Master who refuse give up, do you know anything about  this master? we don't have to much information about him” Beside been next to him their voices sounds like an ecco
But Joe negate with head, he has no energy to think about Ryo Akiyama; Iory wants to surrender, a marvelous new, the prodigy son could still do the right thing. If they defeat Ryo the children would surrender, and then what?  He look at the blood in the hands of his friend one more time
“We cannot make the same mistake twice” Yamato speak with the hate in his voice answering a question that Joe was afraid to ask “Even if they surrender we cannot forgive them”
“They are children” They are my children
“ They were children, they are men now, men who betrayed you, they attack  the King!” his blue eyes doub for an instand “If we give them the oportunity they are gonna kill you Joe, i will not give them that oportuity”
The silent embrace the room, Joe knows that Yamato only has good intentions and the guilt hit him, he wish that he was willing to stop him, if Yamato where his knight a simple order will be enought. Why Yamato agree to serve Taichi was a mystery for him.
“Do you have any idea where the rebels are hiding?”  Taichi interrump what it feel like a private moment
Ideas? He has plenty of ideas, tousan of theories but just one that make sense “The swarm”
“The swarm!” Yamato recall “of course” and along with him jump over the map that hang out the wall; Taichi look at them in confusion “Is a group of small island in the south; they are many, at least a dozen, but the ground is rocky and infertile, access is dangerous if you do not know the place, but is the perfect hide”
Joe hate the way Yamato talk to the King, as if he was an ignorant child, a sweetness that was unusual in him
“That is the place to which we must move our troops” Taichi celebrated
Joe despise how the King look at his friend, as if he belonged to him, as if he was one of his properties.
“But we must be careful, they must have lookouts on the routes, those are dangerous waters”
The hand of the King travel to his knight shoulder “I'm sure you can manage it” fondly eyes and meaningful smiles, they move together in a synchrony that was ridiculous; again they remind him to his lost children: Ken and Davis use to move like that too.
A thought that make him feel like the most stupid man alive,  a sudden revelation that snap him back to reality, he knew Yamato, he knew his past and his hearth, be the lover of a upper class gentleman was no strange behavior for him, but this…  he cursed the ocean and the sea
He stand out as tall as he was “For how long?”
“Well i hope not to much” Taichi´s smile offended him “i mean.. we want to end this war as soon as possible right?”
But Yamato notice his change of attitude, and for Joe annoyance he put himself between he and the King.
Maybe the revelation wouldn´t hurt that much if it wasn´t for the lies, the hypocrisy, Taichi, the king of the light, the light who persecute and imprison impures...
“Joe what´s wrong?” Yamato try to approach to him but Joe shake and come far from them, he can´t even look at his friend anymore
“Sora knows?” he try to yell “did she?” memories of the dozen of letters he share with his dear friend flash before his eyes, her loneliness, the rumours about her health...
Taichi´s grin broke down “How do you know? i mean.. what are you talking about? “
The smartest thing would have been to keep quiet, keep his suspicions to himself, avoid claims to the most powerful man in the continent “You know very well what i´m talking about Taichi Yagami!” but he has lost his patient too “You are a fraud, you broke the votes you made to your so acclaim god”
Taichi stay stuned by Joe accusations
“You don't even denied, did any law mean anything to you?” Joe try to make sense in his mind, both of his hand rest over the table, “Do you think you own him? that…. that you can use people like him just because you have power over them!”
“He is not using me!” Yamato reacts “Its not like that, please stop!”
Joe turn to him, no longer avoiding his eyes “I expect more from you”
His words hit the Knight more than any sword did before, Yamato clench his teeth and contain the sorrows “Well… that was your mistake”
“who are you to judge him? you…” the king yell at him ” Everything you own has been earning by his hand, he fought for you! he Killed for you! he won for you! you are not alloud to… you  have no right…”
“You have no idea what are you talking about”
“You either,  you think you know him better than me? Do you know that he spent these years pleading  to come to your rescue? he was so sure all of this was too much for you "
Joe take a stept back, was than true? a look at Yamato and he knows  Taichi was right, but the rage has no disappear “You have a wife”
“You too! but if you ask me you see more concern about those ungrateful bastards that you call your children than for your actual family!”
If he could, he would hide behind the table, close the curtains of the windows and demand everyone to leave him alone, Taichi dealt a fatal blow to the little that remained of his emotional stability.
“They are the ones who need to be saved, you do not know mimi, she ... she is an extraordinary woman, I have no doubt that she has the strength to ... to protect our son and herself; and despite everything I trust that Iory will not allow them to hurt her "by saying it out loud, with Yamato and Tai judging him, he realized that he sounded even more foolish than when he repeated it to himself.
A nock of the door force them to calm down, or at least pretend to be
“Sir, I´m so sorry” Kouji enters the room with a small chest between his hands “A letter from the rebels and this” The three of them rush into the package, Taichi took the letter that was address to the Sea King
“They demand that we free the Ikkaku Island and thet we release Davis, a proof that we are serius… what they mean by that?”
Joe open the chest and his world collapse
He lost control, he lost hope, and dear god on the abyss Mimi lost an eye
“We are not gonna surrender, they are blaffing, this is a sig of desperation” Yamato try in vain to encourage him while Taichi make an efford to not trow up.
Ryo finally was showing his cards, this must be his work, Iory was burning the ships, who knows who else would drag him along.
“My son…” he barely speak  before  storm out of the room
“follow him” Taichi order “and Yamato…” he came closer  “make sure he doesn't make or said anything stupid”
.
.
.
Yamato found him on his room, crying and shaking
“I would found them “ Joe look at him, without worried for hiding his tears “I would keep my promise, i would save the queen and the Prince” he sit next to him “you know i will”
“Do i?” a bitter laught “I don't know who you are anymore”
“Or you do” Yamato lay down “ I don't need to tell you anything, you just know…”
“Still it would had been nice if you just told me” but he smile with an apologize between his libs, just as he use to do, and a tiny light of hope ignite inside of him; that was Yamato, his defender, his friend, maybe they could save his family, all of them “What about Iory and Ken?”
“Taichi doesn´t understand your fixation with those kids, Joe… to be honest me either…”
“And i don't understand your fixation with the King, He is... “
But all  hope crumbled as soon as it appeared, three words and Joe knew Yamato would never been in his side again
“I love him” and even worse “And.. i think he loves me”
Such a profound declaration, a much more horrified secret
“Yamato… this is not right” such a waste of words, Yamato has done so much for others in the name of respect, honor, friendship, but love? he knew, sadly, that Yamato has never feel loved before.
Now there was nothing in the world that Yamato was not able to do for Taichi
He had lost his friend, just like he had lost everything else
“But I understand ” he lied “ I´ll not said anything, i just need to be alone for a while, please, i´m sure that you have a lot of things to get ready before the assault to the swarm”
With a smile Yamato leave him alone, and Joe waits impatien until the door close behind him and he hear his steps go far away for rush to his suitcase, he took his arrow and bow  and carefully, afraid and decided he sneak out of his own castle.

Mun Plays Kingdom Hearts 3
............. I finished Kingdom Hearts 3... For those who may be confused, I’m not upset or disappointed. If anything... I’m surprised. Speechless.
Continuing where I left off, I took the Leviathan and sailed to Shipwreck Cove, but found myself getting intercepted by Luxord and his army of Heartlesses. For the first time, I made use of the water wall, which I had completely forgotten about and it really saved me a few times. I just barely managed to beat Luxord with only a sliver of health.
Also, one thing I forgot to mention in my last post, I thought game was going to follow the whole Never say “Die” rule. In Monsteropolis, you can hear Randal saying “Why won’t you just fail already” and in The Caribbean, Jack says “Four of you tried to annihilate me.” when the line in the movie was “Half of you tried to kill me.” So I thought they were going out of their way to not have characters say “die” or “kill” or “death”. But when Jack was traded for Will, Elizabeth did use the word “die”. I just wanted to mention that.
Now, at Shipwreck Cove, I fought against the Kraken, saving the Black Pearl from both it and the Flying Dutchman, allowing me to use the water all even more to protect myself. The fight against Davy Jones was honestly rather difficult, if mostly because of the Kraken, but I managed to win. Not only that, but I won with STYLE!
I was interested in the fact that they didn’t show Davy Jones’ heart, but I understood why they couldn’t show it. Even then, you could just faintly heart his heart beating inside the chest. I was surprised to see them keeping Will dying and even Davy Jones dying as he fell overboard. A little disappointed they didn’t include the marriage between Will and Elizabeth. I also couldn’t help but notice that Sora basically had a hand in killing a normal human being and not a Heartless or Nobody.
After that was San Fransokyo from Big Hero 6. Brief mention: Didn’t care all that much for BH6. Didn’t hate it, but found it kinda average. I’ll say this, I had tons of fun exploring the city and I was able to practice Flowmotion and get used to using it in battle. Funny thing, while out on the town with the others, I forgot the chest that held a map of the area. Like, I saw the chest and planned on getting it after taking care of the Heartless, but completely forgot about it once I was directed to the top of a nearby building, so when I had to track down the Micro-bots, I had to backtrack my steps to find that chest. But other than that, nothing was really major. I know many people would be super happy to have the original Baymax back, but I didn’t really care.
But one thing that was of interest was seeing Possessed Riku from KH1. I’ll admit, I was actually confused about how he was there, but that’s kinda par for the course with a Kingdom Hearts game.
With that done, I went to the Realm of Darkness, YAY! I had the biggest grin on my face when the best character Aqua showed up, even if she was Norted. And I still had that grin while fighting the Demon Tower as Riku. It wasn’t hard, but it did kinda take a while. Then I got to play as Sora to fight my wife Aquanort. Honestly, she was quite difficult, what with her tendency to attack while offscreen and combo Sora for some good damage. But as time passed, I started to figure her out. But I managed to beat her. I want to bring up my theory again and as it turned out, my theory was half-right.
I couldn’t help but shed a tear when Aqua realized she was finally free from the Realm of Darkness, but I couldn’t help but wonder how she lost her Keyblade, but I think they might have been explained in a previous game that I didn’t play, but whatever. I also grinned when I saw Aqua return Castle Oblivion back to the Land of Departure. I grinned even more when I saw how beautiful the inside was, especially when compared to what little was shown in BbS. It feels much bigger than in that game and even more regal.
And I was SO excited to play as Aqua after so long and I was able to take to playing her almost instantly. And I LOVED the new animation for Spellweaver; the way she pirouettes and performs like a graceful ballerina is beyond graceful! Fighting Vanitas wasn’t too difficult, since he pretty much acted the same way as in BbS. I managed to beat him and I was SO happy to see Ventus finally wake up! And the way Aqua and Ven treated each other was adorable, much like an older sister and younger brother. I do wish Ven and Sora could connect a bit more, but I guess there were more pressing matters.
And in the cutscene after, I enjoyed Aqua remembering Kairi and Sora from when they were kids. Of course Sora and Kairi wouldn’t remember meeting her, since they were only children and it was a long time ago. And yay! Axel/Lea and Ventus still remembered each other and they’re still close friends!
After that, I went straight to the Keyblade Graveyard. My blood was pumping during that massive battle against the Heartless and Nobodies, which I called the Battle of A Million Heartless and Nobodies. It was tons of fun laying waste to countless enemies one after the other and once it was done, I continued onward.
While I was happy to see Terra, I instantly knew things weren’t right. Why would Terra just suddenly be there and unpossessed? What followed was the gang getting destroyed one by one while Sora was left in despair as the Demon Tide claimed him. I enjoyed seeing the Chirithy (I don’t know much about the other games, but I know he belongs to Ventus, so there’s that.) It was fun collecting all the different Soras and interesting seeing other people who found themselves in the Final World, clinging on the something in the real world. And going through all the other previous worlds was kinda fun, but the Lich quickly became a pain, what with his Aero magic and leaving behind afterimages that Sora sometimes focuses on, leaving me unable to get away in time. But I managed to get them all. Still confused as to how everyone was seemingly warped back in time to before Terranort and the Demon Tide attacked.
But this time, I was excited to see the Lingering Will return and protect Aqua and Ven. And even pull off these insane moves with its Keyblade that I had no idea it could do. I didn’t fight it in KH2, so yeah... And as for the Demon Tide fight, I was doing... decently until later in the fight. I got combo’d so badly, not even the Kupo Coin could help me and I got a game over. When I tried again, I learned I could damage the core while the tornado is spinning, just not when it turns orange. I eventually managed to win, which then brought one of the coolest moments in the game up!
The Keyblades of the fallen warriors came to Sora’s aid to help him against the swarm of darkness. And not the Keyblades of any fallen warriors, but the people who actually played Kingdom Hearts χ! There were so many names and so many Keyblades being used! And I want to say this; for those who lost their lives in the Keyblade War, I thank you. Your hearts may now rest and be at peace. Light shall prevail.
After that, found myself in Xehanort’s maze, deciding to help Riku against Young Riku, Ansem, and Xigbar. By accident, I focused on Ansem until he ran away, leaving only Young Riku and Xigbar. I focused on Xigbar, since he was always a bit of a pain; both in KH2 and BbS. But thanks to Sora’s amazing aerial combat skills, he wasn’t all that difficult. Young Riku, however, was a bit harder and rather aggressive. But I managed to win. After that, I helped Mickey out against Xemnas, Larxene, Luxord, and Marluxia. I ended up targeting Larxene, but after a few hits, Xemnas left the battle and Luxord captured Mickey, so I focused on Luxord and defeated him first before turning my attention toward Larxene. Once she fell, Marluxia was next.
Later, I decided to help Kairi and Axel with Saïx and a mysterious hooded figure. I focused on Saïx until his Berserk meter filled up, triggering another cutscene. Xemnas managed to defeat Axel (and somehow(?) took his Keyblade away) before having the hooded figure attempt to kill him. I had my guess, but I was so happy to see I was right! Xion is a vessel! Sure, she hasn’t been Norted with the orange eyes and white hair, but she was one of Xehanort’s Organization XIII. I was even happier to see her come around. And happier still with Roxas suddenly appeared to help his friends while Kairi was kidnapped. With Xion and Roxas, I was able to defeat Saïx almost easily. I then went to help Aqua and Ven against Vanitas and Terranort. I focused on Vanitas because he’s kind of a massive jerk and I wanted to see how Sora would react to seeing Vanitas’ face. It was nice to see Ven act so mature towards Vanitas and I was expecting him to accept Vanitas as a part of himself and absorb him back into his body. But honestly, this is fine too.
After Vanitas, I focused Terranort. I was really struggling when he brought the Guardian out and I couldn’t seem to do anything. No way to damage it and no way to avoid it, but I managed to survive. Terranort fell shortly thereafter, since he also got caught in the crossfire against Vanitas. I was surprised to see the Guardian resist Terranort, only to find that the Heartless in question was Terra himself, successfully driving Xehanort’s heart out of his body and reclaiming it as his own.
I then turned my attention to the Xehanorts. I focused on Young Xehanort, managing to defeat him despite having to also deal with Ansem and Xemnas. Once Young Xehanort was defeated, I felled Ansem, followed by Xemnas. My heart stopped when Master Xehanort up and killed Kairi and my jaw dropped when I saw the old man actually stop ULTIMA, AKA THE ULTIMATE MAGIC SPELL with Stopza!
I went into Xehanort’s heart (I think) and entered Scala ad Caelum. I struggled heavily against the masked enemies. Even Rage Mode could only help so much and I eventually got a game over. When I tried again, I wised up to some of their tricks and eventually managed to beat them.
Next cama Armored Xehanort... I barely knew what I was doing during the first phase, struggling to find my footing, but managed to beat the first phase, even making use of Flowmotion attacks. In the second phase, underwater, I was more cautious, since I was out of items. I also bought an Elixir earlier on to use in a desperate situation. I used it during that phase, so... yeah. At times, I would just run away and try to survive until Donald was either revived and healed Sora or my MP was filled again so I could use Curaga. I eventually managed to win as the third phase started.
Almost instantly, I was blindsided and instantly defeated, since I didn’t have time to heal. Now, during the entire fight, I feared that if I died, I would have to go through the whole fight again, but thankfully, I was just sent back to the start of the third phase. I managed to deal good damage and ALMOST WON but thanks to some bad luck, I lost... Rage Mode helped me out a bit. And for the third attempt, I FINALLY managed to win!
Then came the battle against Master Xehanort himself! Honestly, it was much more managable compared to the others and nowhere near as stressful. I did quite well until he summoned Kingdom Hearts, making for a great backdrop. I still fought against him quite well until he took Sora’s light, forcing him into Rage Mode. I wasn’t expecting it, so it took me a while to recover, but when I did, I managed to take back Sora’s light... and found myself in a grey area with the Organization XIII chairs surrounding the area. I was assaulted by hooded figures with weapons of the Organization XIII and barely managed to even gain a footing, let alone heal. And there were the massive lasers. But I managed to heal and hold my own until returning back to the battlefield.
Once the battle restarted, I returned to fighting Xehanort, eventually getting him down to trigger the ending. But he easily deflected Sora’s Ray of Light and countered with his “Ray of Darkness”. And during the struggle, I couldn’t help but notice a different version of Dearly Beloved. This truly was something major! And thanks to the power of friendship, Xehanort was defeated!
And with that, I BEAT THE GAME!!! I watched the ending cutscenes, Xehanort and Eraqus becoming friends again as their hearts pass on. And I liked how Xehanort acted at the end too. I was hoping that Sora could finally return home to see his mom after so many years, but with Kairi missing, Sora went on a journey by himself to search for her while everyone else went back home. AND Naminé is back too! During the absolute final cutscene before the credits, I thought that Sora had found Kairi and they were returning to greet everyone, but it seems Sora was gone somewhere, leaving Kairi alone, despite being with her friends.
And for the after-credits scene? Well... I won’t say~ But I’ll say this, my jaw dropped, since it revealed MASSIVE things! Some characters will be returning, but I won’t say who. I’ll also say this; the end of the beginning and the beginning brings about the end.
I look forward to the next game! Also, my total game time? 25 hours. Yes, if given enough time, I could start and finish the game in a single day, with an extra hour. Honestly, I’m a little disappointed that there were only 2 returning worlds: Pirates of the Caribbeans and Hercules. Sure, the new worlds are great, but still. And the number of worlds overall is disappointing. So few Disney worlds and all of the worlds don’t give much. Winnie the Pooh can easily be finished in a few minutes while the Disney worlds take about an hour or two to finish. But I guess they wanted to focus a bit more on story and wrapping things up. Still, the game felt short overall. I also hope that Final Fantasy characters make a return in a later game. I’m still bothered by the fact that they removed Final Fantasy characters, who have been present in every KH game since the first, 17 years ago! Again, oh well. Overall, I had fun playing the game and really enjoyed KH3!

Star Troupe Troupe Report - December 2017
Troupe Report is a Kageki feature where an appointed reporter will write about current events in the troupe or ask troupe members for questions to answers sent in by readers. Reporters are generally only replaced on retirement, unlike other backstage features that rotate monthly or quarterly.
Star Troupe’s Troupe Report has been written by Kisaragi Ren since 2015. The December 2017 edition focuses on Ichijo Azusa, who retired from Star Troupe with the show closing that month.
Troupe Report: Star Troupe
This month, it’s a special feature about the most passionate otokoyaku of all of us, ‘Guts’ - Ichijo Azusa!
Q: What is Ichijo-san like in the Leadership Room*?
“Although she is so sharp onstage, she’s actually really cute 💖” - Miki Chigusa “Usually she’s so cool, but every once in a while she’ll be like ‘Kai-chan, Kai-cha~n’ and try to get me to spoil her; it’s so adorable!” - Nanami Hiroki So as you can see, she has some unexpected aspects 💖
“When Sayumi-san (Kurenai) is changing her makeup she’ll make sure it gets done perfectly. Shiiran (Ichijo) knows where everything is so if Sayumi-san says ‘I don’t have OOO!’ she’ll tell her where to find it. It’s really amazing!!” - Mari Yuzumi Sayumi-san also says “I’ll die without he~r 😭 Ichijo-chan is irreplaceable~! She understands everything about me. Please keep acting as my little brother~!!” Sayumi-san and Ichijo-san’s bond is really special ✨
Ichijo-san said “I’ll have to make a Sayumi-chan User’s Manual!”: her smile as she laughed was really dazzling.
Q: Do you have any funny stories about her time as a yokasei?
“Shiiran loved Coca-Cola, but all of us would end up stealing drinks of it, so it would always go flat. Her response to that was… ‘it’s fine if you drink my cola but AT LEAST CLOSE THE LID!!’” - Nagina Ruumi The 89th class members get along so well 💖
Q: What is something Ichijo-san said that has stuck with you?
“No matter what kind of role you get, make sure you do it beautifully. There’s sure to be someone who will look at you. Don’t be withdrawn, put yourself out there!” - Amaki Homare “You’ll end up tired no matter what you do so go into it as if you’ll die!” - Haruto Yuuho “I wonder if I can make my eyes even sparklier…?” - Rei Makoto “Otokoyaku are only able to look their best because the musumeyaku is beautiful. I want you to be that kind of musumeyaku.” - Kozakura Honoka “Star Troupe is its own spirit! I want you to carry on my determination!” - Amaji Sora “I’ll protect you!!” - Shirotae Natsu “How big the role is doesn’t matter. It’s how much you put into that role that’s the important thing!!” - Hiroka Yuu (Yumeki) “You look cool today, too!” (Ichijo) “I know that myself!! Of course I do!!” - Yumeki Anru
As for Kisaragi...when I’m stressed or nervous, I hear Ichijo-san saying ‘There’s nothing left but to just do it!’. I think Ichijo-san’s spirited words, feelings, and determination will keep shoving us forward long into the future.
Also, Airi (Aimizu Serena) and Chii-chan (Natsuki Rei) are such precious friends to all of us. Thank you so much for everything!!!
🌟 Aa-chan’s birthday! 💖
Sayumi-san gave Aa-chan a present of a wall clock inspired by her ✨
* the Leadership Room is the separate dressing room shared by the most senior members of the troupe, regardless of other standing such as Top Star, etc. It seems to be the 4 most senior members but that doesn’t really fit with the content of this feature, so I’m not certain there.

your personal top 5 moments in Arc-V(this should keep you busy)
Boy.
Okay so I was on mobile last night so I waited to answer this.
Also this isn’t necessarily my top 5 cause @chromsai are made an amazing list  of their top 5 moments and honestly about half of my favorite moments are on there but to give variety I’ll do other moments
5. Yuya and Yuto v Serena and Ruri (124-125)
oh god, this duel.
Okay first, after like one-hundred episodes, Yuto finally meets up with Ruri, that’s even longer than what the fruits had to wait. And he’s so happy to see her???
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And he wants to save her from the Academia so bad??? That he switched cards with Yuya??? (I mean that kinda doesn’t make sense but its ygo so whatevs)
Tumblr media
And then when Shun arrives to help save Ruri, Serena fucking tasers him.
Tumblr media
Like damn, I know this is seriously but shit that’s funny. How the fuck did she get a taser??? Like damn if this wasn’t a card game anime she should have went and tasered Yuya and all of Leo’s problems would have been solved.
And then we learn about the parasites, and yea a lot of people don’t like them and think the plot point was stupid but you can’t deny that putting bugs into fourteen year olds head’s is pretty messed up.
Tumblr media
AND THE FACE YUYA MAKES WHEN HE FINDS OUT YUZU ALSO HAS A BUG IN HER HEAD MY HEART.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then, it happens.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE BOI IS BACK. And he is m a d. Then not even two minutes later we get this sweet flashbacks of how Yuto and Ruri meet??? And god they’re cute I forgot how much I like this ship haha
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Looks at how smitten this boy is, what a loser.
So the duel progresses, and it keeps switching who has the upper hand and once Serena and Ruri get the upper hand once more Mr. Ugly Face comes and is creepy and I don’t feel like getting the screen caps of him.
But that leaves Yuya pissed, so of course he goes berserker. And honestly, that was the only time I was genuinely afraid of him. Like seeing berserker Yuya was always cool and stuff and he WRECKS SHIT. But this was different. ZARC ACTUALLY SHOWS UP. I get chills everytime I see this scene.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And Yuya’s feelings effect Yuto?? Like before this and even after this when Yuya is berserker Yuto most times isn’t unless Yugo and Yuri are around??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
AND WE GET ODD EYES RAGING DRAGON WHO’S REALLY SCARY BUT ALSO REALLY PRETTY????
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
OF COURSE LETS NOT FORGET THE ICONIC LINE BY SAKAKI YUYA AND HIS SATAN FACE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Serena v Yugo (84-85)
Tumblr media
So this might have to due with the fact that Yugo and Serena are two of my favorite characters from Arc-V BUT THIS WERE SUCH GOOD EPS.
First we start off with gold like I die every time I watch their introduction.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
While this scene is very funny it also reflects their personalities. Serena, a child soldier, is taking this very seriously and is offended at what Yugo did. While happy-go-lucky Yugo is a ball of sunshine and is being very comical about this. They’re at opposite ends of the spectrum.
Then when the duel starts all poor Yugo can think about is Rin (also our first time hearing Rin’s voice)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This odv backfires on Yugo cause he doesn’t think and just summons a monster in attack mode then ends his turn. Serena’s pissed because she’s been taught to take dueling seriously all her life and Yugo just did that. But he is taking it seriously??? He’s just a giant goof ball????
Luckily his feelings for Rin works both ways and he remembers what she told him about focusing, and Yugo apologizes to Serena about how he’s acting.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This duel isn’t just about Yugo’s development, Serena gets a lot too (which is awesome cause most times a duel only develops once character or waits until the opponent is defeated to develop the other one)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Both Yugo and Serena are very skilled duelists, but they’ve lived completely different lives. Yugo lived as a free spirit, learning to duel better so escape poverty and being on the streets. Serena’s was raised as a captive princess and was taught to be like a soldier. But the same time both of them just want to escape their old lives and find better ones.
This is shown a lot with how they react to the Action Cards Roger keeps trying to give Serena. At first Serena wants them cause she wants to win, but once she finds, or figures out, that it was a free handout she doesn’t grab them. She wants to win with her power. Her luck. She’s tired of people treating her differently and wants to prove herself. Yugo on the other hand will take all the free stuff. He’s not use to that, even if it cheap or cheating as long as it helps you in the long run then use it.
Both of these philosophies hold valid points can and are both right in a sense.
We get Yuya and Yugo synching again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Serena being like ???? What is this???? People are cheering??? And I’m happy??? Dueling = fun??????
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We see Serena and Yugo’s strongest monsters
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THIS SCENE THAT, AND IM NOT EXAGGERATING, GETS MY HEART POUNDING EVERYTIME I WATCH IT
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Yuya v Jack round 2 (96-98)
So the City is fucking rioting right now and because of Yuzu’s words to Yuya (my fruitsssss), he has the confidence to duel Jack again and win this time. And to tell the city to calm the fuck down and stop fighting with card games ffs
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Look at the Lancers being dramatic when ppl start raiding the area)
Tumblr media
And I don’t get when ppl say the Synchro was a waste of time?? Like Yuya got so much confidence this arc?? And learned not just to convey his feelings but others as well??
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And while entertaining Jack just fucking owns Yuya and Yuya’s upset that he can’t fulfill his dad’s legacy. The Jack motherfucking Atlas tells him to remember his own style of dueling.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Because even tho Yuya has improved since ep 1, he’s still not ‘better’ at least entirely. He’s not wearing a fake smile anymore and he doesn’t joke about stuff anymore nor does he hide in goggles. BUT he still clings onto his father who disappeared three years. Trying to up load his legacy and he someone he can be proud of, when Yuya doesn’t need to do that. He doesn’t have to continue Sakaki Yusho’s dueling, he should create and show Sakaki Yuya’s dueling.
At the same time, there’s nothing wrong with building off of someone and turning it into something else. Which is what Yuya learns through this duel. He’s Sakaki Yusho’s son and has inherited his dueling, but at the same time he’s the pioneer of Pendulum Summoning and has learned all the summoning methods - with the latest being Synchro.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So he takes what he’s borrow - his father’s dueling, ability to use other summoning methods - and combines it with what’s his own - Pendulum Summoning - can creates something that uses all three and gives it form.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Look at this boy realizing this his own dueling is a combination of everyone around him and how he was able to go further with Pendulum than he (and Zarc) ever imagined.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also some ppl say that the Lancers don’t do shit??? Like look at these losers looking cool going to protect the City because that’s what they’ve came here to do.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE CLIMAX OF THIS BATTLE IS BEAUTIFUL??? EVERYONE FROM SYNCHRO COMES TO SUPPORT YUYA LIKE HOLY SHIT. LOOK HOW EVERYONE COMES TOGETHER.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THEY EVEN BROUGHT BACK JEAGER FOR THIS MOMENT.
Tumblr media
This was such a hyped duel. Like god I can’t watch it without grinning.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. End of Maimi City Tournament (45-50)
Okay so this is where I have to stop using pictures because A) this is about five eps B) I’ve been doing this for about eight hours now (my pc is v slow loading the eps and I won’t let me save it as a draft) and C) I’m at 138 pic rn hahaha….
This is the first time the Standard duelists (and Serena) see the true terror of the dimensional war, and this is the first time Yuya has seen people use dueling for something so cruel.
People get carded, characters we cared about get carded, and it takes fucking what seven-ish of them to take down three Oblesik duelist.
Like things are fucking crazy - Yuzu disappears, Yuya has flashbacks of Yuto’s memories, Yuya fucking duels Sora.
Oh god Yuya and Sora’s duel. Like yea, Sora’s duels with Shun are v fucked up but we’ve seen Yuya and Sora’s friendship grown since ep 5. And just gets stomped on.
Yuya can’t understand why Sora is doing what he’s doing, while Sora thinks it’s practically common sense (and he thinks it’s for a good cause). This is the first time Yuya’s philosophy is put into question and it’s the first time we truly see ‘duels without smiles’ and honestly it’s kinda terrifying.
The future Lancers only survivor through their teeth and even tho we just spent like ten episodes seeing characters like Yuya, Gongenzaka, and Yuzu get stronger, that’s not enough, and it’s sad but true.
This marks to point of no return for the Standard kiddies and for them to face the reality that not all duels can be dueled with smiles.
1. Yuto’s arrival (7)
So rewind to 2014, sixteen year old me hasn’t watched ygo since episode like 7 of Zexal. I hear that there’s a new ygo series airing and I decide to check it out.
Nothing really sticks out to me. Okay, Yuya was a fine protag but besides that it seemed like a normal shounen to me. Father disappear mysterious before the plot, character’s have gag lines they spout every other sentence, duelists have cards that relate to their aesthetic or what they like, nothing new and kinda standard.
But still I watched the first couple of eps cause why not? The action duels are pretty enough and I loved Yuya’s tomato hair.
Then episode 7 aired.
I go on tumblr and see people freaking out - the spoilers have come out. Besides finales I don’t really care for spoilers so I check them out.
And there’s a guy who looks actually like Yuya.
I was genuinely shocked and interested in the plot (something I haven’t been since dark signers), and I watched the ep.
First I’m surprised that it’s Yuzu that discovers this important plot point, not Yuya (and the show continues to leave him in the dark till like ep 38). Also it implied that Yuzu is more important to the plot than we thought which like, blew my mind. Anzu may have been Yugi’s first friend but she didn’t add anything to the plot, Asuka’s plot was about her brother which ended at like ep 20 and had the SoL in season 2 then practically nothing in seasons 3 and 4. Aki was a signer which made her special, but not within the main characters cause they were all signers and her psychic powers got dropped and Kotori…lmao.
But Yuzu added to the plot??? She has something special to her self???? Besides the huge ass plot twist about trying to figure out who Yuto was we also had to figure out why Yuzu was special????
So while I stopped watching Arc-V, I still wanted to keep up with the show so I followed a few ppl who watched it and kept up with it because I wanted to know what the hell was going on.
Yea the ep itself wasn’t too noteworthy, but its the ep that got people questioning, got me truly invested in the show, and it’s the ep I tell people to get to to see if they’re interest in Arc-V.
So thanks Yuto, it’s cause of you I officially got stuck in card games hell forever.

Digimon Adventure tri. - Chapter 4: Loss | Thoughts
So . . . I thought it was pretty good? I did read a few spoilers and people seemed to think it was really, really bad. So maybe because I expected it to be so bad that when it wasn’t that bad, I thought it was pretty good? If I were to rank the films so far, from best to worst . . .
3 (Confession), 4 (Loss), 2 (Determination), 1 (Reunion).
I liked the opening. I didn’t particularly care for it (because my interest in Maki and Daigo is about -7), but I liked it.
Yokomon being a complete bitch to Sora because she accidentally stepped on her once . . . All the digimon were right to be cautious of the kids at first, but Yokomon acted like Sora was some axe murderer in hiding waiting to get her alone. It was just really weird and frankly felt forced (and lazy writing, just to give Sora conflict). Sora is the one who prepared all the food and made all the digimon happy . . . logically, you would think then, that out of all the digimon partners, hers would warm to her more quickly just for providing food. The other kids didn’t do anything, and yet the other digimon were more trusting of their partners. Logic fail. (And Sora tried so hard to get Yokomon to like her . . . seriously, Yokomon was written as a brick wall. So forced. I didn’t buy it.)
Tokomon warming to Takeru almost instantly was cute.
Tri. tries so hard to force the audience to like Meiko by Mimi and Sora’s sheer affection for the girl . . . and it just doesn’t work. I think Toei regrets making “Meiko”, because her merchandise really doesn’t sell. (I also think Toei initially wanted Meiko to be a “crush” for Taichi, but her underwhelming “popularity” has made them rethink that idea . . ..)
OMG I cannot get enough of the Takaishida brothers. That scene where Takeru is still hitting on his older bro is one of my favourites. XD I like this running joke. Give me more, tri.. :)
OK. The Taiorato scenes. The first scene I mostly liked. I had issues with some aspects of it (Yamato should’ve known what to do . . .), but I thought it was a good scene. It showed the dynamics between the three rather well. What I liked most (other than it being a rather intimate moment between the three), was that it was clear that Yamato was more in-tune and “aware” of Sora than Taichi was, who was completely clueless (as he always has been). It was the second Taiorato scene after that though that I really had issues with (man, Yamato’s characterisation really went down the drain, lol). But more on that in another post, ‘cause it’s very Sorato-y -- though it has to be said that you don’t have to be a Sorato shipper to have a problem with that scene . . . you just have to be able to recognise when Yamato's characterisation is “off”. Because it was.
Yamato asking if they should ask Takeru for help regarding Sora? In what world would a 17-year-old think a 14-year-old would understand a girl his age better? I generally really like tri. Takeru, but there’s a point when someone becomes too-good-to-be-true (and is almost always used as the picture of “perfection”). Takeru’s not a “perfect” person who can make any situation better, and is somehow supposed to have skills to be in-tune with girls’ emotions (that scene prior where Takeru says Meiko is a “normal” girl and accidentally offends Mimi and Hikari comes to mind). They need to tone it down a bit with the whole “Takeru is perfect” thing.
But . . . Yamato and Taichi were incredibly obtuse when it came to Sora’s problem, though. Like, incredibly. As in, forced writing. I also didn’t buy it. It would’ve been one thing if they just didn’t know how to handle Sora’s problem (although I would argue that Yamato should really be better at this than he was depicted in the film . . .), but the fact that they seemed totally clueless as to what was bothering her? I’m sorry, but when all the digimon are completely fine and then you have GIANT BITCH PIYOMON flying around, it defies logic (again) to have them be that obtuse. Weak writing is weak writing. I wish Sora had been given better material.
The scene between Daigo and Maki where he asks her if he could be her new partner . . . was so incredibly cheesy and made me laugh. It didn’t seem to fit in “Digimon”. Tri. turned into a love story between Daigo and Maki for a minute and . . . lol. It totally didn’t fit into what Digimon is. Odd scene.
I did like the reveal (albeit unoriginal) of Daigo and Maki being two of the original Chosen Children. It made them infinitely more interesting (which, because they weren’t interesting to begin with . . . just makes them OK characters now).
How incredibly odd was it for Piyomon to meet Meiko and warm up to her so quickly (A GIRL SHE JUST MET), and still be a total bitch to Sora (A GIRL WHO FED HER AND WAS NOTHING BUT KIND TO HER)??? Sora’s conflict is the core storyline of this film, and its foundation is just so weak. I know I keep repeating myself, but seriously. Some “good” came out of it (what it forces Sora to go through in the film), but it would’ve been so much better if the writers had actually attempted to come up with a logical reason for Piyomon to be a massive cunt to Sora for no particular reason (that is, a reason that isn’t forced as fuck).
Awww, Gabumon and the whole “Yamato-kun” thing was pretty cute. And Taichi’s jealously of not being called “Taichi-kun”, haha. :)
This film had so many parallel moments and homages to the first season. I quite liked the nostalgic throwbacks.
I really loved Yamato’s line, “I expect too much of [Taichi]”. So true. Taito feels, ON.
Meicoomon’s reunion with Meiko was pretty . . . weird. It just felt random (or just badly executed). And it was a bit funny with all her swipes at the air surrounding Meiko’s head (which is not the desired reaction, lol).
LMAO at Sora throwing rocks at “Gennai”. Also he used Meicoomon to boob-punch her . . . I know I shouldn’t find this funny, but I do. XD Funny in a am-I-really-seeing-this-over-the-top-shit-in-a-Digimon-series-way!?
Continuing with the inappropriateness . . . I also found it funny when he licked her. It just totally took me “out” of the whole film, like a jump-the-shark moment. “This . . . is Digimon?!” It was so weird and totally didn’t fit in with what you should expect to see in a Digimon series. I think the tri. writers were trying to be “risque” but instead it just made me think tri. really needed a better writing staff who knew how to keep to a tone. XD; (Also, Sora’s complete lack of reaction to the lick made it even weirder. Girl, some man who wasn’t Yamato just LICKED YOUR FACE. Please react to it to show that it was shocking/uncomfortable/disgusting for you. Again, tri. writers being incompetent, because Sora really should have given some reaction to it. A simple sound of disgust would’ve worked, to at least acknowledge that it was STRANGE. Sora took that lick almost like she gets licked every day by strangers -- and is pretty content to be licked. Her non-reaction was weirder than the lick itself.)
The scene was also getting to look pretty rape-y with him being on top of her for so long . . . and sorry-not-sorry, but get that shit out of Digimon. That shit stays in fanfiction for a reason. STOP BEING A FANFIC, TRI..
Sora pushes “Gennai” off her and he just goes down? Lol. How weak is this dude. Also, it was just weird to see “Gennai” act like a creepy dude. Again, it really didn’t fit what Digimon is.
LMAO at when Plotmon “puppy howls” at “Gennai” and everyone just runs. XD Was it supposed to be funny? XD THAT was their getaway??? XD (But Plotmon is cute as fuck. I want one. :3)
So after Sora tries to protect Piyomon . . . Piyomon decides to remove the giant stick up her arse and recognise how kind Sora has been ALL ALONG. Wow. Random, abrupt resolution there. WHAT IS THIS WEAK WRITING. Piyomon’s entire attitude changes in a blink of an eye. If you don’t have an issue with this, your standards are way too low when it comes to good writing and storytelling. Don’t get me wrong, I love how Sora got to shine and everything, but I wish the writers had backed it up with actual good writing. It really isn’t hard to get Piyomon to be weary of Sora without being an outright, illogical bitch.
OMG, the moment Jou charges at “Gennai”? HOW FUCKING GLORIOUS. It both shocked me and made me love Jou a lot, hahaha. GO HERO JOU!
Yamato can throw Gabumon into the air in water . . . DO YOU EVEN LIFT, BRO!? Apparently, he does. XD
Also, a tri. film where Taichi is in-character and I actually love him? Here, have bonus points, “Loss”. I loved all of Taichi’s interactions with Yamato in this film. Go Taito, go. But . . . that whole part where Taichi and Yamato were underwater and trying to go up for air? It made me laugh so hard. Partly because of the poor animation, but also just because . . . the entire thing was hilarious hahaha. It shouldn’t be, because they could’ve drowned, but . . . XD
Um . . . Machinedramon throwing Sora around – and especially AGAINST A CLIFF – really should have killed her. WTF. Yamato, you’re gonna end up with a woman who cannot die. Be prepared, son.
Sora literally clings to life because she wants to make meatballs for Piyomon again . . . LOL. Phoenixmon was born from a mutual love of meatballs. (OK, I’m just taking the piss. :P)
Why would Phoenixmon let Sora fall off of her without trying to swoop down to catch her? Weird. Also, Jou catching Sora was awesome, but again, totally defies logic that Sora didn’t crush his bones completely upon impact and killed both of them. :P And wouldn’t it have been awesome if Yamato and Taichi had joined them sooner so that Yamato could’ve caught Sora in his arms instead? *cough* (Jou was totally amazing in this film though. THE UNSUNG HERO.)
Patamon’s evolution to his Mega form was too random and easy, like they just wanted to get it over and done with and just stuck it in at the last minute. I personally don’t care that it was too easy, but it was. :P
The film’s ending made me interested in where the plot goes . . . and that’s a good thing!
Overall . . . I thought the film was pretty good, despite its weaknesses. If I seemed too critical for a film that I rank the second best so far in the tri. series, it’s because I really hate giant leaps in logic and poor writing. My criticism of this film basically boils down to the Sora/Piyomon conflict being entirely forced, and for having a few moments that really didn’t fit into Digimon at all.
The strength of this film though is its “action” and pacing, which makes it better than the first and second film. The first film was dull, even with good character interactions – its pacing was too slow. And the second film, though enjoyable, really was just filler. And I did like Sora’s character journey in this fourth film -- I just wish it had been for a better reason than Piyomon being a you-know-what. But Sora was amazing throughout this film and I love her. :P
Can the fifth and sixth film top this? I really hope so. I want to be able to look back on the entire series and think that it was good. That would be great, tri.. Do your best, please. ;)
