TO ESCAPE AN EMPIRE CHAPTER 5 FULLY DRAFTED REAL NOT CLICKBAIT
#saltposting#writing post#fic: to escape an empire#It still needs a few more passes before it's ready to ship to our beta (and there are Other Chapters to get beta'd first) BUT#god. This chapter took us nearly a month (minus our stint with sweet atonement during which to escape an empire was on hold)#it's 5k words and might undergo some cuts/condensation but. It's WRITTEN. It's all there. It's ready to EDIT!!!!!!!!!!!#Meaning we only have one (1) chapter left to *write* write and then. And then it's all editing.#The fic is definitely going to break 25k but I doubt it'll go all the way to 30k.#Still the longest thing we've written of like. Ever. Good gods#Going to chillax about it because the back third of ch5 absolutely killed me and was somewhat harrowing#(not because writing bad. Writing good in fact but because the blorbos are not having a good time at all#and experiencing that vicariously while keeping the emotional progression sensical & meaningful was a real challenge!)#So now? It's wind down time by cutting up some Death Note panels. And then it's bedtime because we have therapy in 10 and a half hours#and need sleep (preferrably a full night's) beforehand#BUT.
