Though they knew she was capable, Ragnarok could not help but worry for their wielder. Perhaps part of it was the protectiveness of the past Lord; and perhaps the serenity of these past centuries had crept like a plague into past family leaders still. Ragnarok could only speak as he felt, and he was an amalgamation of all these past rulers’ emotions and experiences.
Her response was, naturally, one of anger. He, with the pride of all of the Lords at once, understood this perfectly. Was he not a part of her, privy to all her thoughts and feelings? He only wished the best for her.
"We only wish for you to proceed with caution, Lord.”
Yes, without risk there was no reward. Yet, there was risk, and then there were extremes... ones that need not be reached. War was new for this young Lord. The traitor nobles had upturned Lukedonian society, and the rule over this realm was still... unstable.
“I feel your anger... and your fear. Change has been grueling, and the times are challenging. But be patient, Lord.”
He looked down into her eyes and saw the anger at those who had betrayed them — fury that Ragnarok felt as well. And yet, unlike the sheer determination of their leader... for Ragnarok, there was sadness, too. He had been wielded by the previous Lord, after all, and the Lord before him (and the one before that Lord as well had even known a young Lagus Tradio). Those Lords had all known the traitors well, and had trusted them with what now seemed far too much. Yes, Ragnarok was a sentimental sort... he could hardly claim to be free of flaws, no matter how much wisdom they had collected over the centuries.
“Communication is key, my Lord. An urgent situation this may be, but we must reach out to those who know the enemy best. Make use of your alliances, Lord.”
She was an impressive young Lord, to deal so swiftly with the upheaval of their society and to rule with a steady hand in the years that followed. But there was much for Erga Kenesis di Raskreia to learn.
