the dialogue abt evrart repeatedly personally visiting roy still mystifies me. from the moment you meet ev he starts building this narrative: he doesn't get out much because they move him with the crane, he knows everything because hes got eyes and ears feeding it to him, if the negotiators can't get into the harbor thats their problem, but you need to be helping him send Messages, to be carrying his tasks OUT of it, outside of his "fortress", as he calls it. Except that's evidently not fucking true because the month ago (or whenever) he was personally showing up to the pawnshop to be a bother. It contradicts so much of what we've been told about him but it doesn't really matter, because roy wasn't having it and doesn't want to talk about it. Evrart apparently just does that sometimes

#does he play up his (idk how to word it) personal detachment to things for You? Probably #The tasks he gives you clearly serve more the purpose of setting up the relationship between You Two in a specific way #But still. I figured he'd mainly rely on the hardies to communicate with broader martinaise #If you were never there to deliver the signatures #would he possibly drag himself to the fisherwomen?
