First DTIYS I've hosted and it's on my humble little beastzai rp blog. Go figure. Anyways, I'm happy to host this, even though it's my first time. With that being said, below is the information, and under the cut is the art I made for this!

Read the following carefully before participating.

Rules

No AI usage. At all. It will not be tolerated.

No tracing.

No reposting or passing this off as your own. If you participate, make sure to credit me and/or link back to this DTIYS somehow.

You can use the original art as a reference, but no tracing.

You can interpret the original art freely and do something based on that.

You can do this in any artistic medium (even writing, poetry, cosplays, etc. Anything creative goes) you would like, as long as you make it yourself. Once again, no AI should be used.

You can add text to the finished art even though the original art doesn't have it.

You don't have to be limited to a halfbody artwork; do whatever you wish and feel comfortable with. If you want to fo a fullbody, go ahead. If you can only manage a headshot, go ahead. This is open to anyone who wishes to participate.

Feel free to go crazy on the background. I didn't really want to do it, but that doesn't mean you don't have to add a background if you wish. Let inspiration guide you

What's the deadline?

The deadline is January 21st of next year. This will be easy for me to remember, as it will end on my birthday. Let me know if you need more time though!

Are there prizes?

Yes. We can hash out the details on that if you win, but there will only be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Honorable mentions will be there too, but won't receive anything like art or a story written for them, depending on what they want.

people often think they have chuuya all figured out.

chuuya nakahara, the mafia executive. chuuya nakahara, the gravity manipulator. chuuya nakahara, the ruthless, stone-cold killer that could crush you with the snap of his fingertips.

chuuya nakahara, who loves stupid, corny jokes.

his days at work are exhausting. endless paperwork, bloody messes he’s tasked with cleaning up, and the ever increasing stain on his morality that accompanied being a warden of the night. he didn��t want to think that this was him. but he made a vow to protect the city and to protect you.

but that doesn’t mean you can’t protect him in your own, silly way.

“doll.” he groans, stepping into your shared bedroom. its 2 in the morning, and he’s just finished writing off some deal with a country he can’t pronounce. you can tell by the circles under his eyes and his ruffled orange hair.

“come here.” you invite him, patting the space on the bed next to you. you’re ready to just hold him, to stroke his hair and kiss the taste of darkness on his lips away. and he loves you for it, but he has something different in mind as he flops down onto the bed next to you.

“…tell me one of your jokes.” 

he sighs, getting his head comfortable in your lap.

you ponder for a moment. would that really make him feel better?

you eventually relent: “chuuya?”

“hm?” he asks, his eyes still closed from the relaxing head message you’ve blessed him with. he could melt into your touch forever.

“how do you build suspense?”

“i don’t know. how do you build suspense, doll?”

“……..”

“….oh, fuck you.”

he laughs, getting the punchline. you chuckle alongside him, the vibrations from his voice sending wavelengths of love through your fingertips. he looks beautiful from this angle. many people knew chuuya nakahara- the calculated, well dressed mafioso. you knew chuuya- the blushing, messy haired love of your life laying comfortably next to you.

he pushes himself off of your lap and takes you in his, wrapping his arms around you in an embrace you wouldn’t trade for the world. he’s got hands that make hell seem cold. the way he laughs, the way his eyes gleam, he’s like a poem you wish you wrote.

you spend the rest of the night telling him dumb dad jokes, and he laughs at every single one. simply because its you.

So for my BSD/BunAl based universe thingy I created.....

(Also the universe where my Yozo rp blog lives in-@s0lace-1n-s0l1tude @cherubsaliaa Since you guys interacted with Yozo the most Imma give you some universe lore :3)

I'm trying to like, create a plot centered around the book protags.

Long story short, Yozo wakes up after a failed double suicide and meets Raskolnikov and Sherlock Holmes.

Yozo got confused as how the two knew his name, while they explained about special books and how the book is their "Soul".

Basically, their memories and existence is linked to the said book. Sometimes, they would also get flashbacks of their past/certain events based on their book's plot. If a page is ripped out, they lose their memories. And if the book is destroyed, the said book character disappears and dies. There is a way to revive them, but you'd have to get the exact same copy of book, plus the process is extremely difficult. (Gonna have to figure that out, also I might have to kill someone off to test this out)

In the later plot, they meet other books characters like Li Zheng from the Moon Over the Mountain and Gregor Samsa from The Metamorphosis. Yozo also meets Melos, which Holmes concludes them as brothers as they were written by the same author.

Like Abilities and Weapons in the other two Bungou fandoms, the book that the characters are linked to also gives them a special power. "Character Activation State" (help me think of a better name lol)

The Activation States grants some superpower to the user, the time frame it lasts varies depending on them. In rare cases, they do not have a timeframe and the user themselves or someone else have to find a way to stop it.

Yozo: Emotionless Mask. A mask would form on his face, and when it does it'd be extremely hard to tell if he's being genuine or he's bottling his emotions. That particular mask would also be hard to break.

Raskolnikov: Scales of Guilt. Some sort of lever balance form on both his hands, weighing the crime of the person he judges and the punishment they deserve. He cannot control the judgement or punishment of said person, so his Activation State might kill someone even if not intended.

Holmes: The Golden Casebook. (His skill is much like Ranpo's) He's able to solve mysteries quickly. During Activation State, his five senses are enhanced, making it easier to track down clues.

Li Zheng: Roar of the Great Striped Beast. He has multiple scars on his body and motifs on his clothing resembling a tiger's stripes. When using his Activation State, his scars change colour and he grows tiger-like features like cat eyes and fangs. However, like Raskolnikov, he can't control his Activation State either, and ends up going on a rampage before tiring out.

Gregor: Beetle's Transformation. He's a human in this universe but he can transform himself into an insect at will. Gains the power of flight and a harder, exterior shell for protection.

Melos: Lightning Sprint. Allows him to run for long distances in a short period of time compared to the average human being.

(I NEED TO CHANGE SOME OF THOSE ACTIVATION NAMES SO BADDDDD. Anyways feel free to drop ideas if you guys want!)

Gracefield Asylum is an asylum home to malpractice and human experimentation that has the guise of a well-esteemed facility built around the outside walls.

Patients come here with hope of recovery, but quickly find there is no way out and no evidence to support the case of their mistreatment. Hope quickly dies down behind their eyes - will they ever get justice and an escape from this prison meant to "cure" them from diseases they likely never had?

Esteemed doctors get lured in with pay and benefits, but slowly and surely they start losing their mind in these walls, turning insane and twisted- seeing patients as nothing but experiments rather than human beings - they volunteered themselves to be housed here, after all. Isn't it justified?

He can also gain information from a person by touching their forehead

The victim will feel a burning sensation behind their eyes and the victim will no longer be able to recall the information, as if the information has been physically burned from their memories

Berry may also tend to have a poor/ false memories in faer own life, mixing up his burned mental catalogue and events/traditionally learned information
