Intriguing 🤔 I would've argued that Mad Jesters seems to be - one of, if not the, most important group(s) in Battle of Tokyo, so having them bow out for a year seems ... odd?

But if they want Battle of Tokyo to be a thing beyond just Jr.Exile, they do need to pull in the next generation, which would be Neo Exile. So the writers for Battle of Tokyo, presuming it continues with the same story line, now needs to find a place for 27 new characters, bless them.

I also have questions about how they intend to structure the concert - BOT2022 was set up with basically using the duet songs as a transition between groups and each group got a solo (non-BOT) song. So you had FANTA vs. BBZ, then FANTA, then FANTA vs. RMPG, then RMPG, then RMPG vs. BBZ, then BBZ, then BBZ vs. GENE. By nearly doubling the number of groups involved, there's a lot less space for groups to have that non-BOT song.

Admittedly, Exile Tribe/LDH has done huge multi-group concerts - Rising Sun to the World had 6 groups and the Blu-ray is a mere ... 3.75 hours long.

I watched both nights of LDH Live Expo 2023 and 12 groups performed on night 1 and 10 groups performed on night 2. Almost every group got 2 songs per (except FANTA, who ran off with 3 on night 1, BBZ, who got 3 on night 2, and RMPG, who got about ... 7 songs (I wonder who LDH thought the biggest draw on the card was 😂). I don't have the length of either concert easily accessible, but I'd say about 3.5-4 hours. Night 1 was long, my god, night 1 was long.

Going back to GENE not being there, I feel like this is an acknowledge of RMPG's status as now being a more senior group. I felt like in 2019, they weren't quite ready to have RMPG be the most senior group on the card, because they'd be in charge of running all group MC moments and I think that's why they bundled GENE in. RMPG has now been active for 7 years, Zin, YamaSho, and Kazuma are all experienced MCs now and I especially trust Zin to be able to handle being the main MC for a concert.

B.O.T is back !!!!! This time it's Jr. EXILE vs. NEO EXILE. It seems Generations will not participate this year and LDH will hold a press conference on May 7th

Either way congrats to NEO EXILE 🥳

I was very brave and didn't cancel therapy, so now I'm gonna watch BOT2023

I saw someone had their BOT2023 Riku and Zin acrylic stands in the same stand, which made me go "You can do that?"

And now I've reduced the number of acrylic stands I have lying around almost in half 😂

For me, BOT is, at least in part, a time for courting fans of the other groups and it seems - odd - to me to do that without your performers for a song
