Manoj Sinha, a senior BJP leader and former Union Minister, is the new Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir after Girish Chandra Murmu resigned yesterday. The big change, which took place on the first anniversary of the centre’s move to scrap special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 and turn it into two union territories, brings back a political face in the top post.

Manoj Sinha, 61, has been a Lok Sabha MP and a member of the BJP’s top leadership panel, the national council. He was a Minister of State in the first term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

BJP Nabanna Abhiyan: ‘পুলিশ তুমি যতই ধরো, আমরা ট্রেনে নবান্ন যাব’- ট্রেনেই শিয়ালদহ আসবেন বিজেপির একাধিক বিধায়ক

শিয়ালদহ স্টেশনে নিরাপত্তার কড়াকড়ি।   কলকাতা: মঙ্গলবার বিজেপির নবান্ন অভিযান। সেই অভিযানে শামিল হতে গিয়ে বিজেপি কর্মীদের পথেঘাটে বাধার মুখে পড়তে হচ্ছে বলে অভিযোগ উঠছে। তাই একাধিক বিধায়কও ট্রেনে আসার পরিকল্পনা নিয়েছেন বলেই বিজেপির অন্দরের খবর। সূত্রের খবর, বনগাঁর একাধিক বিধায়ক যেমন সুব্রত ঠাকুর, অশোক কীর্তনিয়ারা ট্রেনে আসবেন। ইতিমধ্যেই একাধিক গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রাস্তায় যান চলাচল নিয়ন্ত্রণ করা হয়েছে। বিজেপি কর্মীদের দাবি, রাস্তায় বাধার মুখেও পড়তে হচ্ছে। তাই সেসব উপেক্ষা করতেই ট্রেনেই কলকাতায় আসার পরিকল্পনা নিয়েছেন তাঁরা। তাই বনগাঁ, হরিণঘাটা, কল্যাণীর বিধায়করা ট্রেনে আসবেন বলেই জানা যাচ্ছে। সঙ্গে থাকবে দলীয় কর্মী সমর্থকরাও। এদিন সকাল থেকে পুলিশি নিরাপত্তায় মুড়ে ফেলা হয়েছে শিয়ালদহ স্টেশনচত্বর। স্নিফার ��গও তল্লাশি চালাচ্ছে। পূর্ব বর্ধমানের কাটোয়া থেকে ট্রেনে আসছেন একদল বিজেপি কর্মী। তাঁদের মুখে স্লোগান শোনা গিয়েছে, ‘পুলিশ তুমি যতই ধরো, আমরা ট্রেনে নবান্ন যাব’। দুর্গাপুর স্টেশনে আবার এদিন দেখা যায় আরেক ছবি। অভিযোগ, একদলকে বিজেপি কর্মীকে পুলিশ আটকে দিলেও, কার্যত পুলিশের সঙ্গে লুকোচুরি খেলে ট্রেনে উঠে পড়ে আরেক দল। Source link Read the full article
