Stina snorts, turning her eyes away from where the beam of her flashlight bobs along the floor and glancing back at Biana. 

“What, are you scared? I work here, you know. During the day.” 

“I know,” Biana says. “and I’m absolutely not scared. If anything, the illegality adds to the fun.”

Stina laughs and digs her keycard out of her pocket. She holds it up to the door, wincing as the telltale door-open beep sounds through the hallway. “Here we are.”

Biana throws herself down into the first row of seats, leaning her head back to look at the domed ceiling. Stina flicks on the projector. 

Dozens, hundreds of stars appear above them, in patterns and swirls and bursts. Stina takes a minute to just stare before she heads over to her girlfriend. 

“What’s that one?” Biana asks as she gets closer. Stina rolls her eyes. 

“I’m not your goddamn tour guide,” she mutters, but she follows Biana’s finger up. “That’s Cassiopeia. The Seated Queen. She thought she was the most beautiful person in the world, and the gods made her pay for it.”

 “Most beautiful person in the world, huh? She must not have met you.”

Stina fixes her with a look. “That was terrible.”

Biana hums, a little self-satisfied sound, and reaches over to wrap an arm around Stina’s shoulder. She hugs her close.

The constellations above them move, slowly, approximating the passage of a time that goes much faster than theirs. It has a dizzying, tranquil effect. 

“Good night,” Stina whispers, because it is still night, even though it feels like she and Biana have been here forever. 

“Night,” Biana mumbles. 

Above them, the stars turn.

keefe, sophie, and marella are avid swearers. fitz and biana drop a few f bombs once in awhile. tam seems like the type to swear often, but he’s kinda on the same level as the vacker siblings -- he only does it if he’s in a pretty stressful situation. dex only swears with sophie. linh only swears with tam. maruca doesn’t care, so you might hear it from her once in awhile, but it’s not apart of her everyday vocab. wylie’s an angel who thinks all these children need to tone it down on the profanity.

sophie has accidentally taught silveny how to say fuck. so, sometimes when sophie admits something negative that happened in her life, all she gets is a constant stream of, FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! (it brightens sophie’s mood, that’s for certain)
