Event Announcement: BBA Student Council Election Season
It’s election season at Blueberry Academy! That means that it’s time for our Student Council candidates to start campaigning for your votes. There are multiple seats available, all of them requiring a different set of skills and know-how! The positions to be campaigned for are:
Student Council President *SEE NOTE BELOW*: The one in charge of it all! Student Council President leads the charge on all current projects, makes final decisions, and is the representative of our school to the world at large. BBA is a school run primarily by its students, which makes this is a big role, with a lot of responsibilities, but if you think you’re up for the challenge announce your candidacy today! One seat available, and the runner up in this poll will be named Vice President of the Student Council.
Secretary: The administrative brains behind the operation. The secretary compiles and distributes meeting minutes, assists in special projects, reports treasury information, and monitors all incoming communication from students and clubs. One seat available.
Treasurers: The money masters! These students monitor and manage anything and everything to do with our BP economy, including your BBQ rewards and club budgets. They are also responsible for monitoring all club spending. There are three seats available.
Historian: This is the person responsible for all documentation of club activities, as well as general media attention to BB Academy. They record interviews, save photos of memorable moments, and generally ensure that the history of BBA is well documented. One seat available.
While we strongly recommend that candidates for the Student Council President position have at least some experience with Student Council in the past, any student may announce their candidacy for any position! The deadline to announce your candidacy is MAY 10th
From May 11th onward election season will be in full swing! Campaigns, posters, speeches, big promises, whatever you feel will get you the most votes. And while the official campaign doesn’t start until the 11th, there’s nothing stopping you from making friends and taking names before then, eh? 😉
Anyone running for Student Council President MUST have their platforms finalized and announced by no later than May 15th. Any candidates that fail to announce a platform will be disqualified.
Finally, election day will take place on June 2nd! Any student currently enrolled in BBA who will be attending in the 2024-2024 school year is welcome to vote.
Best of luck, candidates!
//OOC housekeeping below the cut read or perish
First up, any BBA blog can run for any of these positions but the outcome of Student Council President is locked to Amarys winning. This is because 1) BBA Student Council is my baby and I will not be giving up control of it, you can pry my headcanons out of my cold dead hands, 2) This is a canon character trait of hers and 3) My event my rules. That said, the runner up WILL be named vice president, which is also a very important spot on Student Council. Amarys’ name will not be showing up on the actual polls on June 2nd, but if another blog wins by a landslide Amarys will be considered to have won by only a slim margin. So basically, if you are running for StuCo President you are actually running for Vice President.
If you want your character to participate you MUST message me directly, it can be an ic ask or not. The important point is that you don’t just make a post on your blog. I might not see it, and then you will not be included in the list of candidates posted May 11th.
This is going to be a tumblr event, no discord required.
All positions will have at least one NPC running for them. This is both to give anyone who opts in someone to fight against, and to give me a safety net in case there is a position or positions that no one wants to run for.
Lastly, if you want to participate but don’t think your own blorbo would run, you are free to create an anon persona to campaign with. I think this would be difficult to do, as you’d be limited to only campaigning via asks, but it is absolutely an option. You also run the risk of someone impersonating you to spread rumors but hey! I think that kind of drama would be a blast tbh.
That’s all! Let me know if you have any questions :3

Mayblade Day 18
One of my favourite pieces to share with you this event, getting to give the Barthez Battalion and BEGA team, and even the Majestics some page time in No Sacrifice
Unpopular Character
“It looks like Hilary is right,” Oliver said when he FaceTimed them the following morning. It was just past midnight in Paris and behind him, they could see the lights from the Eiffel Tower glittering in the distance. “Barthez is still listed as an accredited beyblade coach with the World Beyblade Battle Association.” “How is that possible?” Tyson’s voice was unnaturally loud in Steph’s ear as he craned to see the video, prompting her to glower at him before repositioning the phone. She had no hope of squeezing her whole team, along with Garland, Brooklyn and Tala into the camera’s field of view. “A lot of things slipped thought the crack when the BBA went into administration,” Ray reminded him. “By the time Barthez they got around to reviewing Daichi and Matilda’s match, he managed to avoid any penalties due to unsubstantial evidence.” “Figures,” Max muttered. “What are we supposed to do now, we can’t just let that creep come back as a coach.” “What about lodging an appeal with the WBBA?” Hilary wondered. “Surely Miguel and the others would come forward to testify against their coach.” Oliver shook his head. “Robert already looked into that,” he said. “Accusations of cheating need to be lodged formally with the WBBA Tribunal - it’d be a formal hearing.”
“He’s right,” Steph agreed. “If Miguel and the rest of Barthez Battalion admit that they knowingly cheated in their matches against us, the WBBA would likely disqualify them from the upcoming Qualifiers - which means they won’t qualify for next year’s championships.” “That’s not the worst of it,” Ray added. “Any players caught cheating could face an immediate or permanent ban.” “We can’t ask them to do that,” Becky said at once. “Why not?” Garland interjected. “They knew they were cheating; why shouldn’t they face the consequences?” A uncomfortable silence fell over the group. Steph could see Garland’s point of course, but Miguel, Claude and Mathilda were their friends - none of them would want them to sacrifice their beyblading careers to stop Barthez. It was Tala who unexpectedly came to their defence - unexpectedly because Steph was pretty sure he and the other Blitzkreig Boys had regarded Miguel’s team with nothing short of contempt up until now. “Do you really think it’s that easy?” he said, his voice low. “Barthez was a master manipulator - just like Balkov. It’s easy to turn a blind eye to something shady when it gets you everything you’ve ever wanted - and then some. Barthez took a handful of nobodies off the street and made them World Championship material, with all the fancy equipment and a heap of media attention.” The words were, by Tala’s standards, remarkably personal. In fact, Steph didnt’ think she’d heard him speak this honestly since he’d faced Boris himself. “He would have manipulated them into cheating one by one, feeding on their insecurities as newcomers to get them to believe they needed to cheat to win - and the moment they gave in to that he’d won.” His words clearly struck a nerve with Garland. The former BEGA captain rose to his feet carefully, his expression guarded, as though preparing himself for a fight. “So what’s your point, Valkov?” Sensing Tala’s temper flare, Steph reached out a hand and squeezed his arm in an attempt to descalate the situation. “The point is,” she said quietly. “It that Miguel and the others shouldn’t be collateral damage. We’ll find another way to bring down Barthez.”

Reach of Online Education in Rural India
The concept of E-learning was introduced in the late nineties. But it was never a popular method of acquiring education until the Covid pandemic arrived. The pandemic acted as a catalyst as people couldn’t leave their homes and had to switch to online methods for learning. Since then, online education has become a ubiquitous part of our education system. The urban area of the country are leveraging internet and electronic mobile devices to purse reputed courses like NMIMS distance MBA, distance BBA, distance BSc along with short term professional certifications.
In rural areas, before covid arrived, Online education was never a thing. Neither, the rural areas have Internet facilities which is the basic requirement of e-learning, nor people are aware. After covid, a lot of students who were studying in urban areas had to shift back to their native places which were not very developed in terms of technology. They reported to face a number of problems when it came to continuing their studies using the Internet as the pandemic hit at a critical time when the academic year 2019-20 was about to end, and it was very important for the students and the institutions to complete their classes.
Poor data connectivity, a lack of access to computers and smartphones, and power problems in villages made it difficult for the students to access the online courses offered by their universities. Students have been known to go to locations outside their villages in quest of the elusive mobile wireless connection. The media has reported a case where a child in Karnataka climbed a tree to get a strong enough mobile signal. Managing access to online classes was extremely difficult for students, particularly girls.
A survey that expresses the condition of Online Education in India
Many challenges which are now faced regarding online education are revealed by a study of a Government First Grade College (GFGC). The college is situated near the taluk office, which is 20 kilometres from the district office and 90 kilometres from Bengaluru, the state capital.
The students that go to this college are around 20 km from the area around the institutions. The college offers graduation and post-graduation courses and has 1060 students in total. The college switched to online methods of teaching after the pandemic. A survey was conducted and input was taken from 20 faculty members(a total was 21) and 724 students with the purpose of taking feedback regarding the online method of learning in remote areas.
Results of the survey:
Teachers communicate with students through a variety of channels, including websites, youtube videos, Jnana Nidhi (a YouTube channel), WhatsApp videos, and reading notes sent via email and Whatsapp.
With 66 percent of all techniques employed, sharing reading notes with students was found to be the most effective way.
Each faculty member connected with students on average 30 times.
For their own internal meetings, the academics used the collaboration technology ZOOM.
Teachers reported that they are facing problems due to a lack of assistance regarding new technology.
The faculty had no knowledge of how to make lesson films.
60% of the professors said it was challenging to make videos on their smartphones.
80% of the staff was not having any broadband connection and they were using their personal Internet to teach their students.
65 % of faculty faced signal issues.
Power Issues were also faced by all the members who were part of the program.
The majority of issues faced were regarding poor data connectivity.
Lack of training
Reasons why Online education cannot reach remote areas
No availability of the latest smart devices and a lack of accessibility to the online content that urban citizens enjoy daily.
Do not have enough resources to buy a personal laptop or desktop, depending on family members’ devices for studying
Can not afford expensive data plans.
Lack of awareness among people due to which they do not support the facility for their children.
Suggestions (Steps towards Transformation)
Availability of the tutor all the time.
Proper training regarding the technology part for both teachers and students
Clarity of technical doubts.
Creating a community between students- teachers and students- students to deal with any issues, learn about hobbies and interests of the other p[erson, etc.
Exploration with more and more tools so that the process can be made easier and more convenient.
Orienting students about all the changes coming in the Online Education system
Introducing various methods of Interaction, group discussions, and activities so that active learning can be encouraged.
Organizing the study material in such a way that it is easily adaptable to the students.

The Impact of AI on Mass Media
Artificial intelligence has rapidly transformed businesses and people's daily interactions. The media business, which includes journalism, entertainment, advertising, and broadcasting, has taken note of this revolutionary force. Given that AI continues to penetrate every part of our lives in terms of promise and difficulties, studying its implications on the media industry is critical. Mass media courses in Pune often reflect AI’s growing importance in the media industry.
Content Creation
AI technology has significantly transformed the advertising and marketing industries. AI-powered analytics and targeted advertising enable advertisers to give relevant and personalised content to clients, optimise campaigns, and increase ROI. However, this raises questions about data privacy, surveillance capitalism, and the ethical consequences of persuading AI. Throughout history, media organisations, whether print or digital, have sought to capitalise on emerging technologies. That is because it enables them to fulfil their duties more successfully.
Natural language processing advancements have had a huge influence on the media sector, notably automated content generation. NLP algorithms aid in creating human-like writing by reviewing and producing news items, reports, and other written content.
Consumption
Machine learning algorithms have transformed personalised media recommendations, altering how people discover and consume media material. AI systems may make personalised suggestions based on user behaviour, preferences, and past interactions. These recommendations assist consumers in navigating the large quantity of available media material and improving their overall media viewing experiences. Companies may better understand their audiences and adapt their content offerings thanks to the use of AI in personalised media recommendations. They may utilise machine learning to optimise content placement, enhance customer pleasure, and boost engagement. Media platforms and streaming services utilise AI algorithms to select material based on user interests and preferences, construct bespoke playlists, recommend related articles or movies, and do other activities.
Ethical Considerations
The usage of AI in the media business has raised various issues that must be addressed. These include moral considerations, such as algorithmic prejudice, inclusion, and responsibility. Media firms must consider the ethical consequences of using AI to generate content and make decisions to achieve justice, diversity, and inclusion. The use of AI in the media industry has an impact on the workforce as well. Concerns have been raised concerning job displacement and the need for retraining and upskilling to keep up with the changing environment, even though AI technology may automate repetitive operations, increase productivity, and reduce costs. Understanding these processes is critical for creating legislation encouraging constructive collaboration between people and artificial intelligence systems. AI's influence on the media industry is undeniable. While it offers numerous benefits, ethical considerations must be addressed. As AI continues to evolve, media organisations must adapt to ensure responsible and ethical use of technology. BBA colleges in Pune must ensure they train students for the foreseeable future.
