the glossier discourse on your blog has me curious what other skincare items you use! anything you would recommend?? you seem p knowledgable on the subject with talk of ingredients lol

honestly i am not that knowledgable, i just am an avid googler of more than one source or i’d used products with similar ingredients so i knew if they worked/didn’t work for me! honestly my skincare routine is 70% trial and error and recs from people instead of being like. actually informed 

and here is a list of skincare items i use!!!! (i thought this was gonna be short until i started typing this all down fuck this is gonna be a read more)

face mornings: 

lush breath of fresh air toner (really helps prevent my skin from feeling super greasy by the end of the day)

origins spf 25 age-defense moisturizer (but apparently they raised the spf to 40 and it sucks now? if you can find the spf 25 it’s worth it)

and if i’m going to be in the sun a lot: la roche-posay 50+ SPF dry touch gel-creme (however i haven’t been able to find it in canada, the closest thing i’ve found is la roche posay spf 60 oil-free dry-touch sunscreen which i was only able to find in the states) 

face evenings: 

neutrogena oil-free makeup remover (if i’m wearing a ton of makeup)

lush angels on bare skin (i’ve been through 10 pots? at least? it is a Holy Grail product) 

lush breath of fresh air toner

tactuo - adapalene and benzoyl peroxide topical gel (it’s prescription only and it’s harsh on your face if you use it everyday, but i apply it 2-4 times a week depending on how my skin is behaving) 

clindoxyl gel (prescription only again, but works wonders on the occasional cystic acne spot i get)

lush imperialis face moisturizer 

sephora collection cream-gel sleeping mask in rose (i use this if my face is a bit dried out and i don’t use the whole pot at once--i stretch it over 2-4 nights and wash off the excess in the mornings. i also don’t use imperialis if i use this) 

face masks:

for sheet masks, i love the ones from the face shop--they have a rice one that i love, but any mask of theirs i’ve tried has always been at least decent

favourite lush fresh masks: don’t look at me (a little on the harsher side BUT LITERALLY AMAZING), bb seaweed, and oatifix (if my skin is SUPER dry)

i also have lush’s mask of magnaminty self-preserving mask that i use when i’m breaking out!

body skincare:

lucas’ papaw ointment on rough patches/cuts/mosquito bites (or dry lips) (i also use a papaw nectar that ivana gifted me however i don’t have the tube rn and i think it’s super only available in australia)

aveeno daily moisturizing sheer hydration lotion if i’m applying it during the day

aveeno stress relief moisturizing lotion if i’m applying it at night 

lush love and light hand cream

glysomed hand cream when my hands are super dry

lush lemony flutter cuticle butter 

lush honey i washed the kids soap (a new fave)

that neutrogena dry-touch sunscreen you get in multi packs from costco with spf 45-60 depending on what tube i pick up (their face stuff isn’t bad as well, but it’s heavy compared to la roche posay)

i also use lush bath bombs on the regular (though it’s more for stress relief than skincare purposes), and i like using their bath oils in the winter if my skin is super dry

ㅡ I’m not open to revealing my sexuality unless someone inquires about it (such as a moment like this) but I’d consider myself as bicurious.

ㅡ I don’t wear much makeup except for concealer and foundation (with mascara & eyeliner depending if I want to go for a bolder look), and even when it comes to those two I don’t precisely have a favorite product. Although, does Maybelline’s Baby Lips count? Because that’s a favorite.

3.) daydreams - if you could be anything or anyone, who would you be?

ㅡ I want to be a cat because they get to sleep anytime they want and people would give them affection all the way through and I personally like affection. ;w; Plus, they don’t have to pay bills or wake up every morning at seven to get ready for classes.

ㅡ I do! Sometimes I fall asleep easier when it comes to snuggling!

ㅡ Hm, my ‘pajamas’ are regularly just an old t-shirt and shorts, or sometimes instead of shorts it’s a pajama bottom.

ㅡ I’m currently using a cute, flowery planner which I adore so much! It’s by Tri-Coastal Designs and it’s been with me since last semester (and will probably last for another semester)!

ㅡ I like both seasons for specific reasons, but I’d have to choose autumn over spring.

ㅡ I have a sweet tooth, so what I consider my favorite snack is anything with sugar (chocolate, lollipops, ice cream).

ㅡ I do, but I don’t write much on it anymore.

ㅡ I wouldn’t call myself a good cook because I only cook whatever I can and only add flavors when it’s convenient for me. (Say I have rice frying and I decide to add salt, but when I taste it it’s lacking salt. I add more and when I try it again, it’s about right. Then someone else tastes my rice and thinks it’s too salty. That’s one problem when it comes to my cooking.)

19.) clouds - describe one of your favorite dreams?

ㅡ Hm, I don’t remember most of the dreams I have once waking up, but I do remember dreaming about spending time with my dad like we’d always do when he was still alive. It was sometime this year when I had a dream of us shopping about and whatnot, typical father-daughter bonding. It seemed extremely realistic, so you can probably imagine how I felt the moment I woke up and realized it was a dream.

20.) velvet - who was your first crush?

ㅡ It was a boy in my first grade class! I remember having a tiny crush on him and even told a few classmates about it, and he found out from them but didn’t care– JHGFDFGHJJHG. I ended up kissing his cheek during class and I REMEMBER HIM WINCING WHEN IT HAPPENED. My classmates eventually told on me and I nearly got in trouble for kissing him. ; w ;

ㅡ I like all of Dr. Seuss’ books, The Chronicles of Narnia, and Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events!

ㅡ I guess so? I typically only just wash my face with a cleanser, wear a face mask if my skin is breaking out or feeling dry, and moisturize. That’s about it!

ㅡ I have, though we weren’t precisely close and only kissed because hormones are a bother. Even today we’re not close anymore and rarely talk.

ㅡ Text messages, social media posts, online news articles? Yes. Books? Not much, but I want to.

ㅡ Anything jasmine scented! I absolutely adore that smell!

ㅡ I have a cousin who lives in the other side of the country and I consider her as my closest relative– heck, she’s even closer than some relatives living in the same area as me.

ㅡ I don’t have a favorite actress/actor, but I do enjoy watching a few actresses/actors on screen like Emma Watson, Emilia Clarke, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Darren Criss, you name it.

ㅡ I don’t have a pet unless my sister’s dog counts as one– heh.

32.) lace - if you own any dresses, which is your favorite?

ㅡ Ahhhhhh– most of my dresses are flowery or have some sort of pattern! If I had to choose my favorite of all, I… would probably choose one that’s beige yet has small black bows printed on it, and it also has a black peter pan collar! (The collar is my favorite.)

33.) sheets - sanrio or san-x characters?

ㅡ BOTH are adorable but I don’t know much of San-X characters except for Rilakkuma and a few familiar faces. On the other hand, Sanrio characters are familiar since childhood. So Sanrio it is!

34.) cream - frozen yogurt flavor?

ㅡ There was once a frozen yogurt place in my area that served delicious pistachio frozen yogurt and it was my favorite! Unfortunately the place closed down and other frozen yogurt shops don’t have the same flavor they had (that I’m aware of). ; n ;

ㅡ I haven’t been reading much poetry now as I used to before, but I own various copies of Lang Leav’s books and Rupi Kaur’s book as well; I really like their poetry! I’ve also read a collection of Nikita Gill’s poetry and will hopefully buy her books if time ever allows!

37.) plush - how many stuffed animals do you own?

ㅡ A lot. I still have stuffed animals from when I was little and up until recently. I estimate I have about 30 or 40 of them!
