LDH Expo 2024 is everything I’ve ever wanted from a company concert! Too bad I couldn’t watch it live but I finally got my hands on it, and it’s amazing!

Mixing up the groups was a brilliant idea, I loved all the performances. BBZ’s Animals is a particular favourite. Victory was eargasmic too. And Fanta’s Overdrive, I could cry. My Prayer was beautiful, Riku looked very proud and encouraging. So many great songs!

Naoto performing Existence with Kidpheno was really sweet, and Akira coming out to dance to Jettin’ felt really special. Seeing all of Neo exile on one stage, performing their songs together was amazing.

Many of Jr. Exile members have such a long history with LDH, I loved them showing the photos from their kid days. Must feel quite special for Exile members to perform together with the kids whom they watched grow up to be such incredible artists, now performing their songs not as support members but as equal artists.

Milk&Coffee

A/n: Hi! how you guys doin? Made this fanfic while listening to Milk & Coffee by Ballistik Boyz. I know the song is not about romance at all (it's about love's complexities based on my understanding) but I thought of cute prompts out of that. THIS IS JUST A FICTION FROM MY DELUSION. SEPARATE REALITY FROM THIS.

Summary: Y/N once a self-proclaimed morning-hater, finds her mornings transformed by the charming presence of her neighbor, Masa. Sweet, slow-burn mornings turn into a tender routine neither of them wants to break.

I hated mornings. But ever since Masa moved into the apartment next door a year ago, they didn’t feel as heavy anymore.

"You're always half-asleep when you open the door" he laughed one chilly morning, holding two cups. Oh God he looks so damn good. I hid my face because he might see my face burning "Thought I'd bring your usual, milk and coffee. Extra sugar, just how you like it."

I blinked, still sleepy, dressed in a hoodie and mismatched socks but I don't mind. I became more comfortable around him. "You're too cheerful for 6 a.m. What's in that cup of yours? Energy drink?"

He just smirked and handed me the coffee. "Just black. I like my coffee like I like my mornings... quiet but intense."

I rolled my eyes at him but I couldn't help a small smile tugging my lips.

Every morning, he kept showing up. Sometimes with breads, sometimes with stories about his training and schedule. He's an artist and he have a group, Ballistik Boyz. Always with that crooked smile, deep dimple and his chocolate long hair that curled slightly at the ends made my chest flutter.

I grew a little crush on him. Just a little. Who wouldn't?

He once said I reminded him of his highschool friends.. And I don't have any friends outside work that’s why we clicked. The entire floor of this apartment was just us, so our hangout became the narrow stairwell between our doors. That tiny spot had seen shared laughter, yawns, coffee, and quiet yaps over the months. Bringing me his freshly brewed coffee became his routine.

“You know” he said as we sat on the steps between our apartments “you and me... we’re kinda like milk and coffee.”

I tilted my head, curious and confused. “What? because I’m sweet and you’re bitter?” sometimes he's unpredictable.

He chuckled, looking sideways at me. “No, because you soften me.”

Haaaa!???? What did he just say?

I stared at him, stunned. That was the first time Masa said something that made the air feel warmer.

He looked away, pretending to sip his drink. “We blend well, that’s all I’m saying.”

There was a long pause. What the hell? Why all of a sudden he became like this? You better stap Masahiro😭

The air between us quiet, warm. I sipped my coffee, wondering if he could hear how loud my heart was beating

I stared at him after.

He looked back, holding my gaze this time. “You soften the bitter taste. Make me better.”

And for a second, I forgot how to breathe.

"Masa..." I whispered, unsure what I was even trying to say.

I shook my head, trying to look away, but before I could, he leaned just a little closer, his shoulder brushing against mine on the step. “Can I try something?”

My heart skipped. “What?”

His free hand gently touched my jaw, barely there. I-i can't breathe with his sudden act“If you hate it, push me away.”

Before I could even answer, he leaned in.

And kissed me.

It was quiet... like him in the mornings. Warm. Simple..

His lips were soft, just like his voice when he told me I softened him. Just like the way he brought coffee without being asked. Just like the way he always listened, even when I wasn’t talking.

He pulled back slightly, just enough for his breath to brush over my lips.

“Well?” he whispered, eyes searching mine.

"Ha?" I'm hanging. Lagging.

"You okay?" He asked while staring at me. Oh God, Those eyes!

"No"

He blinked. “What?”

“I—” I broke into a nervous laugh. “You just kissed me"

"Want to try it again?" Whattt!!??

I choked on air. “Ha?” Is he really serious asking me this??

He leaned in and stared at my lips.

“Masahiro” I warned, heat creeping into my cheeks. “I will throw this coffee at you.”

He leaned closer, smirking. “Do it. I’ll still kiss you.”

“You’re funny.”

“And you’re red.”

“Shut up!”

He laughed softly, then his hand lifting to tuck my hair behind my ear, fingers grazing my cheek.

“You’re cute when you’re red" he murmured, voice dipping lower.

I looked up at him... eyes wide, heart pounding, and I knew he was going to kiss me again before he even moved.

This one wasn’t gentle like the first.

He leaned in slow, but the kiss was firmer. Pressed with more certainty, lips warm and tasting faintly of coffee.. just a little bitter, just a little sweet. Like us. It wasn’t rushed or desperate. Just… right.. He tilted his head, deepening it just enough to make my knees weaken a little, just enough to make me grip his shirt for balance feeling the heat of his chest underneath.

And then.. he smiled against my lips.

“Still want to throw the coffee?” he whispered, breath brushing my skin.

“Shut up" I whispered back, completely breathless.

He leaned his forehead against mine. “I’m gonna make this a routine, just so you know.”

I blinked. “What? Kissing me every morning?”

“Mmm” he hummed, brushing his lips over mine again, teasingly. “That, and bringing the best brewed coffee of mine”

I shoved his chest lightly. He didn’t budge, just laughed, dimple deepening again.

I stared at it, that stupid dimple, then reached out to poke it with my finger.

He caught my hand and brought it to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to my knuckles.

“Careful" he murmured. “If you keep looking at me like that, I might kiss you again.”

I hid my face against the cup im holding. “You’re the worst.”

“Yeah sure, but you still open the door for me every morning.”

And somehow… I knew I always would.

BOT2024: Jr. Exile vs. Neo Exile exchanges

In the lead up to BOT2024, they are releasing profiles for each member and one question is "What Jr.Exile/Neo Exile group would you want to join for a week?" @banqanas suggested that someone make it into a chart and I am nothing if not a glutton for punishment, so.

There are more charts below, breaking it into smaller sections. Below the cut so no one kills me for flooding their dash with this 🤣 Comparisons by group and some extras I found amusing.

Quick note - I stuck with the officially assigned colors off of the profiles for most groups, except BBZ and LIL. Originally, BBZ was orange and LIL was a slightly different shade of red from WHH, but. No one got blue and they gave me two shades of red and I just refused 😂 So I changed BBZ to blue and LIL to orange.

First image is where the members of that group are choosing to go, second image is who is joining that group.

RAMPAGE

RMPG has the singlest large clump of 'members choosing the same group', with Riku, Shohei and Itsuki all choosing BBZ. Kaisei ignored the spirit of the question and answered RMPG, so there's a small 'lol' between his name and the arrow because it amuses me.

RMPG has the most members choosing RMPG, with 8 (including Kaisei 😂 He will never live that down, this is his Mongoose 😂)

FANTA has one of the smallest numbers for people wanting to join, with two 😅

BALLISTIK BOYZ

BBZ has the most clumps of members - 3 from RMPG, 2 from KP. Notably, no singles here, it's all groups of members choosing BBZ.

The only people to elect to join LIL are Riki and Ryuta from BBZ. Damn, poor LIL 😂

Uh, unsure how to describe beyond 'equal exchange'? 😅 The five pairs where two members essentially switch. Shogo chose KP, Kensuke chose RMPG. Hiroto chose RMPG, Makoto chose WHH. Ghee chose PSYFE, Ryushin chose WHH. Sota chose KP, Soma chose FANTA. Rui chose TJBB, Kota chose RMPG.

RMPG has the highest number of equal exchanges, with 3.

NOT A CHART, BUT...

I decided to look at how many members stayed within their subgroup - so how many Jr.Exile members chose other Jr.Exile groups, how many Neo Exile members chose other Neo Exile groups.

Of 20 Jr.Exile members so far, 8 chose to stay in Jr.Exile, so 40% stayed within their subgroup. (RMPG accounted for more than half of those - Riku, Itsuki, Shohei, Kaisei and Kenta all chose fellow Jr.Exile groups, with Masa, Ren and Jimmy rounding out the last 4 places. Notably, no one in FANTA chose a fellow Jr.Exile group)

Of 14 Neo Exile member so far, 4 chose to stay in Neo Exile, so 28.5% stayed within their subgroup. (TJBB accounts for 3 - Nosuke, Shigetora and Takumi - with Matora rounding out as the fourth)

Finally got around to watching Battle of Tokyo 2024, and I have to say, Neo Exile have insane stage presence. Their version of 24WORLD was amazing. I got chills. It’s not easy matching the energy Jr. Exile groups bring to their performances, but Neo Exile were great. Exile Tribe groups are truly unmatched when it comes to putting on a show.

I miss Fanta’s colourful suits but this is hands down my favourite BoT. I especially loved the end where they all went nuts dancing and doing the most random things, the energy in the venue must have been crazy. Those joint performances are the best part of any LDH concert, I love seeing different groups interact.

Y/N was a mess when she arrived at my apartment, tears streaming down her face. She didn’t say a word as soon as I opened the door; she just threw herself into my arms, crying. I had no idea what had happened, but she soon began to tell me how she had caught Miku, her boyfriend, kissing another girl. She couldn’t stop sobbing as she described the scene. From the way she described the girl, I suspected it might be Kaede, Miku’s ex—tall, fair-skinned, with short hair. Kaede had left Miku to chase her dreams of becoming a model, and from what I knew, she had become one of the most successful models out there. I hated the thought of Miku still being stuck on her, but I never thought it would lead to something like this.

I felt guilty. I’m friends with both Y/N and Miku, though they’ve never met. I always thought they’d make the perfect couple. I’ve known Miku the longest, and he’s always been a stand-up guy—loyal, caring, funny, and ambitious. I thought he was exactly what Y/N needed. As for Y/N, we met through my work at LDH, where we collaborated on music projects. She has great taste in pop music, and we worked together a lot. I thought they’d be a great match, so I pushed them to meet. At first, Y/N wasn’t interested, but eventually, I convinced her. They hit it off, and before I knew it, they were officially together. I was happy for them, really, but deep down, I regretted setting them up. I wished I were the one she’d chosen, but I didn’t have the courage to tell her how I really felt.

"You know what, I have a friend. He's single. You want me to introduce you to him?" I asked her, trying to distract her from her while working on a project.

She paused for a second, then smiled weakly.

"Nahh.. I'm too busy. No time for that!" she said, brushing off my suggestion.

But I didn’t give up. I kept pushing until she agreed, and when they met, it was like they’d known each other forever. They clicked. They started dating. And just like that, I felt a pang of jealousy, though I kept it to myself. I was glad for them, but at the same time, I couldn’t help wishing things were different. I was too much of a coward to confess my feelings. I couldn’t tell her that I had wanted to be the one by her side.

"Tell me, Ryuta, what's wrong with me? I know that I am pretty. Have a decent job that pays me well, I am kind, I am lovable, I am--"

I interrupted before she could continue because I knew what she was going to say. There was nothing wrong with her. She was everything anyone could want.

"There's nothing wrong with you, Y/N. You know what, rest. And tomorrow you two talk."

But she wasn’t listening. She poured herself another drink, her voice shaky as she continued, "He didn't pick up my calls. He really abandoned me and our relationship."

I knew she was getting drunk, and I needed to keep an eye on her, but I didn’t know how to make her feel better. It killed me to see her in so much pain.

"I am sorry, Y/N. This is my fault. I should've seen what was happening with Miku. If only I--"

She cut me off by pressing her finger to my lips.

"Shhhhh... it’s not your fault, Ryuta. If there's anyone to blame here, it's me. Probably I was not a good girlfriend at all. I am not the one he's looking for." She said, and her tears started to fall again. It broke my heart. How could Miku do this to her? Y/N was everything good and kind, and she deserved so much better.

As the night dragged on, Y/N’s tears slowly stopped, and the silence between us grew. I watched her as she stared blankly at her empty glass, her red-rimmed eyes hollow with sadness. I sat beside her, my heart aching, unsure of what to say or do.

"You know what, Ryuta," she whispered, her voice barely audible, "If you were probably the one I dated, I wouldn't be hurting like this."

I froze, my heart skipping a beat. Was she serious? Or was it just the alcohol talking? I turned to look at her, but she was staring down at the glass in her hands, too drunk to meet my gaze.

"Y/N..." I managed to say, my voice barely above a whisper.

"I know I can't change what happened, Ryuta," she continued, her voice fragile, "But I'm grateful for your friendship. You've always been there for me."

I nodded, my throat tight. "I'm always here for you, Y/N. No matter what." I wanted to say more, but the words caught in my chest. I wanted to tell her I cared for her, that I had always cared for her, but I couldn’t. I was scared. Scared that maybe she didn’t feel the same. That maybe I wasn’t enough.

The silence between us stretched, heavy with the things I couldn’t say. Y/N’s words echoed in my mind: "If you were probably the one I dated, I wouldn't be hurting like this." I wondered if she meant it, or if it was just something she said out of frustration and pain. But maybe, just maybe, she did.

"I don't deserve this pain," she said after a long pause, her voice trembling, "I don’t deserve someone who would make me feel this way, you know? I gave him everything. I thought he was different. I thought he was the one."

I took her hand without thinking, my fingers brushing hers. Her hand was cold, and I could feel her trembling, but she didn’t pull away. She didn’t say anything either, but we both understood what the silence meant.

"Y/N," I began softly, squeezing her hand, "You deserve someone who sees you for everything you are. Someone who never doubts you, someone who never makes you feel less than amazing." I paused, my heart pounding. "And I promise you, I will always see you that way."

"You're such a good friend, Ryuta," she said, her voice still soft but full of gratitude. "But... I don’t know if I can trust anyone anymore. I don’t know if I can even trust myself."

"I’m not asking you to trust anyone right now," I said, my heart aching. "I just need you to know that I’m here for you. Always. Whether it’s to listen, or to just sit here with you in silence. You don’t have to face this alone."

The weight of my unspoken feelings was suffocating, but I couldn’t bring myself to tell her how I felt. She wasn’t ready for that.

She looked up at me, her eyes softening, and for a brief moment, I thought I saw something in her eyes—something that made my heart race. She leaned in, almost as if she were going to say something, but she stopped herself.

"Maybe... maybe you’re right. Maybe I do deserve better." She met my eyes, her gaze searching mine, looking for something I wasn’t sure how to give.

I didn’t pull away, but I didn’t say anything more. I just smiled at her, offering the support she needed. It wasn’t much, but it was all I could give for now.

"Get some sleep, Y/N," I said gently, guiding her back onto the couch. "Tomorrow will be better. You’ll feel better."

She nodded, closing her eyes as she drifted into sleep. I stayed beside her, my mind racing with everything I hadn’t said.

But for tonight, it wasn’t the right time. Not yet.
