Fucking hell shambles in the pit lane

notes from fp1:

super important, and busy, session as its the only running teams will have before cars go into parc fermé conditions

lots of updates up and down the grid, mclaren and alpine most significant

drs zone on the main straight has been reduced by 100m

T16 to T13 has all been resurfaced

lewis complaining that his brake is "passive" so spent some time in the pits sorting it - didn't get a timed lap in until more than half the session had passed

george also struggling w brakes, but less so than lewis

yuki hit the wall at T3, broke the rim and popped the tyre so driving back to the pits damaged the right rear floor and wing, fixed w duct tape

red flag for 11mins - pierre stopped on track due to hydraulics leak and fire

k-mag stranded at T1, stalled the car and recovered by marshalls

esteban in the garages as well, to prevent his car catching fire

oscar spent the majority of the session testing aero and set up, but looking good

lando also looks super strong, so hopefully, the mclaren updates are working

alonso's drs not opening towards the end of the session but fixed fairly quickly

charles off a few times at T2 making good use of the run off

carlos scraped the paint of the wall at T5 but no damage

the times look close and fairly mixed up in the midfield, but there wasn't enough time for any representative running
