Supreme Court Rejects Appeal from “Creepy Porn Lawyer” Michael Avenatti
The United States Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that it will not hear an appeal from disgraced former lawyer Michael Avenatti, ending his hopes of overturning three separate federal convictions against him. Avenatti, the infamous “creepy porn lawyer” who first gained notoriety while representing adult film actress Stormy Daniels in lawsuits against former President Donald Trump, is currently serving a two-and-a-half-year sentence for attempting to extort up to $25 million from Nike.

By Andrew Weissmann
Donald Trump defense attorney Joe Tacopina has been hitting the airwaves to cast aspersions on a potential indictment of his client in the Stormy Daniels hush money investigation.
But here’s the rub, as New York University law professor Ryan Goodman points out: Before Daniels hired Michael Avenatti as her attorney, the porn star approached Tacopina about representing her — and an attorney-client relationship was established at the point of that consultation, even though he ultimately did not represent her.
Tumblr media
Under the American Bar Association’s rules of professional conduct, Tacopina’s duties include not representing another client with adverse interests to Daniels; not publicly disclosing information that she revealed to him; and certainly not publicly calling her account into question on behalf of another client. There are some limited exceptions to the rules, but they would require Daniels’ expressed and informed consent, and to date there is no evidence that has occurred.
That Tacopina had an attorney-client relationship with Daniels comes from his own mouth: He said so twice in March 2018, both times on “CNN Tonight.” (A representative with Tacopina’s law firm told Newsweek on Friday: “There is no conflict, and there was no attorney-client relationship.”)
"You know, obviously there is attorney-client issues. ... The question I was asked was whether I was contacted or asked to represent her. The answer is yes, I was, but I can’t go anything further." — Joe Tacopina on March 9, 2018
"I can’t really talk about my impressions or any conversations we had because there is an attorney-client privilege that attaches even to a consultation." — Joe Tacopina on March 16, 2018
Some people say MAGA stands for “Making Attorneys Get Attorneys,” and this could be yet another example if an ethics complaint is raised with respect to Tacopina’s conduct — or it could lead to his staying mum (as happened with Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell after they allegedly made defamatory statements against Dominion Voting Systems).
Stay tuned here to see what happens.

Former Stormy Daniels attorney Michael Avenatti says he’s talking to Trump’s legal team — WILLING TO TESTIFY for Former President..
From jail, Stormy Daniels’ lawyer Michael Avenatti revealed in an interview with The Post that he has been in discussions with former President Trump’s legal team and is prepared to testify against his ex-client.
"The defense has contacted me. I’d be more than happy to testify, although it's not confirmed that I will be called to testify. However, I have been in touch with Trump’s defense for the better part of a year."

Why won't the nedia report the FACTS?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
JUST IN: Attorney Michael Avenatti just announced that Michael Cohen may have “torpedoed” the entire case against Trump, saying the Judge may have to rule a mistrial or strike him as a witness. He’s the key witness and without him the case falls apart. Apparently Cohen has been going on ABC and other networks and admitting to violating court orders by reviewing testimony, and he’s also been bragging about “getting Trump” on social media. “Never underestimate this guys ability to screw something up due to his ignorance and his arrogance. He’s dumber than a box of rocks,” said Avenatti. Will the judge throw the entire case out?

WASHINGTON −The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected an appeal from ex-Stormy Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti over his 2020 conviction for scheming to extort up to $25 million from shoemaker Nike, one of three cases that put him behind bars.
Avenatti, the disgraced celebrity lawyer who rose to fame battling former President Donald Trump over a hush money payoff to Daniels, was sentenced to 2 ½ years in prison after his conviction on charges that included attempted extortion and honest-services fraud.
Avenatti had threatened to reveal what he claimed was evidence that Nike made improper payments to high school basketball players unless the company paid $1.5 million to one of his clients and $15 million to $25 million for him and an associate to conduct an investigation of Nike.
The California attorney argued he had engaged in legal settlement discussions with Nike for his client, an Amateur Athletic Union basketball coach who had made the allegations against Nike. The company has denied any wrongdoing.
The worst he can be guilty of, Avenatti’s public defender told the Supreme Court, is abusing his fiduciary responsibility to his client by leveraging the client to get his own payment.
But the New York-based U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit last year said it’s not reasonable to believe that Avenatti was acting in his client’s interests, instead of his own, when he wanted Nike to pay him millions of dollars in exchange for not publicly going after the company.
The district judge overseeing the case said the evidence showed Avenatti hijacked his client’s claim “to pursue his own agenda, which was to obtain a multi-million windfall for himself.”
Avenatti also tried to argue that the criminal code used to charge him with honest-services fraud is unconstitutionally vague.
The Justice Department said the code meets the required standard of an ordinary person being able to understand the prohibited conduct and does not lead to arbitrary enforcement.
The federal mail and wire fraud statute says criminal activity includes “a scheme or artifice to deprive another of the intangible right of honest services.”
The Supreme Court ruled in 2010 that the law covers bribery and kickback schemes and is not unconstitutionally vague.
The conviction Avenatti unsuccessfully appealed is not the only legal trouble he’s faced since his high-profile days of representing Daniels in a lawsuit over what she said was a bid by Trump during his presidential campaign to prevent her from speaking about having sex with him.
In June of 2022, Avenatti was sentenced to four years in prison for stealing book proceeds from Daniels.
Six months later he was sentenced to another 14 years for cheating clients out of millions of dollars and failing to pay taxes.

Recently, Stormy was sent discovery documents to aid in collection of the attorney fee judgment. It is standard practice to request a list of assets, accounts, property, etc. HOWEVER, the forms Stormy was given also required that she provide her minor child’s personal information including legal name, father’s address and more. This information is not only a violation of a child’s privacy but has the potential of becoming very real and immediate danger. In response to her own doxing and fearing for her daughter’s safety, Stormy declined to provide those details unless a confidentiality agreement was granted. The court denied her request and a motion to compel hearing scheduled. No mother should be forced to choose between protecting her innocent child and being held in contempt of court.
She owes $500,000 in attorney's fees to..... Trump. She was also fleeced by her attorney. Michael Avenatti.
I am not suggesting you give $ to the gofundme, but give this woman some credit for speaking truth to power, even though it cost her dearly.
