A3! Main Story: Part 4 - Act 15: PAINFUL RE:BAKE - Episode 32: Wolves
Kumon: 3Q’s ranking will be uploaded any minute now!! What do we do!?
Azami: There’s nothing we can do now.
Kazunari: It’s all G! “Picaresque Returns” has been getting good reviews online, we’re definitely moving up in the rankings.
Banri: Well, all we can do is wait for the results, let’s rest a lil.
Juza: We did all we could.
Sakyo: There’s no point in worrying about it now.
Taichi: My audition pilgrimage prepared me for this exact moment, bring it on~!
Omi: The boscaiola pizza and pumpkin pizza are ready~
Tsumugi: The Autumn Troupe are all sort of calm.
Homare: That goes to show they know just how much they put into their play, yes?
Itaru: It’s up. MANKAI Company is–
Taichi: 11th! That’s an improvement!
Sakyo: But still not enough to qualify.
Banri: Damn, so close.
Tsumugi: I think this is a good enough improvement considering how many strong competitors we have.
Omi: Furinkazan and GOD-za both ranked higher too.
Juza: Exactly what you’d expect of ‘em.
Azami: And Hyakka Troupe’s 7th.
Banri: For real? And here he was talking about them falling off last time…
Omi: Isn’t this thanks to you two appearing as guests?
Sakyo: So you ended up helping the enemy…
Azami: We ranked up too, I’d say it’s alright.
Banri: Still, we can’t let our guard down in 4Q. All the talented troupes are gettin’ a hang of things and increasin’ their ranking.
Juza: Well, the baton’s in the Winter Troupe’s hands now.
Taichi: Right! Tonight we celebrate~!
-
Juza: Hm…
Sakyo: You’re savoring that drink, huh?
Juza: Azuma-san brought a bunch of sweet drinks, and I couldn’t help myself.
Juza: But, y’know, Settsu’s actin’ was real good today. ‘t was fun to stand next to him.
Juza: Feels like I totally understand what being partners with someone means…
Banri: Pfff! So honest! Don’t make me laugh. This is why I hate it when you drink.
Taichi: They’re both drunk~
Sakyo: Settsu's a merry drunk as usual…
Azami: Hard to believe they’re the same guys pulling off crazy action stunts on stage.
Omi: That reminds me… I’ve got an update to report to you all regarding the workshop.
Omi: Zen-san and I plan on making it a regular thing starting with the third one.
Omi: We’re also thinking of increasing the frequency, so we’re going to ask some of the Wolf members to help with the management.
Sakyo: Good idea. The Autumn Troupe and Yuzo-san might not be enough if that’s your plan
Izumi: The Action Workshop will also be in high demand from the cast members of Zen-san’s shop, so I think it’s a good idea.
Azami: There were lots more participants in the third one, too.
Omi: And I was also thinking of offering boarding like I did to Keiku the first time around, so that more kids like him with no place to go would come, but–
Omi: When I talked to Zen-san about this, he said it’d be better if we created a group for it. I’ve decided to call it “Wolves”.
Taichi: Ohh~! It’s like, the newborn Wolves!
Omi: I’ve realized that what I truly want to do is give a place to belong to those who don’t have that.
Omi: So, I don’t want to do this half-heartedly… I want to devote my life to it.
Azami: I think that’s good. It’s a choice that suits you.
Sakyo: Right. This is something you can do exactly because of who you are.
Banri: I’m sure there’s a lotta people who’ll be saved by a place like that.
Omi: In the end, I truly prefer working for other people’s sake rather than my own. I can give it my all that way.
Omi: I was worried that’d mean I wouldn’t be facing myself, but…
Omi: Now I can proudly puff out my chest and say that doing something for someone else benefits myself, too.
Juza: All of us will be rooting for you.
Taichi: Let us know if we can help in any way!
Izumi: This is your big, new challenge, Omi-kun.
Omi: Yeah. ... I swear I’ll see it through.

Sakyo Furuichi SSR ( Thanks for the Delicious Meal ) - Part 1
Part 1 || Part 2 || Part 3
(T/N: The pain of loving this guy !! T^T Lmao this dia-grabbing Yakuza ate all of my 1,160 dias and ran away ! He didn’t came home on my main. Luckily he came home on my alt. >////< Srsly... It’s the third time I spent 1K+ dias for him but if it’s Sakyo, it’s all worth it !--- translation under the cut ^^)
Story Title: “ A Yakuza(abbrv.) Who Likes to Save Money”
Muku: ..... Izumi: They're buried in books....Manga? ( I wonder if Shoujo Manga Club is having their usual reading sessions ) Itaru: Not manga, they're light novels. Masterpiece selection of chosen ones getting reincarnated to another world. Muku: I also have novels about a heroine's trip to another world. I brought a few recommendations. Sakyo: ..... Izumi: (... He's reading so enthusiastically) Is it a reference for the next performance? Sakyo: Yeah, I am going to perform as Klaus, a person who came from another world and somehow ended up going to the present world. Genres about another world can provide a solid reference. It's also ideal for ad-lib inputs. Itaru: Saying things like "There's a man inside the box! " after seeing a TV or "A lump of iron is moving! " after seeing a car. Muku: Speaking of great reference, there's also a romance between a modern heroine and medieval knight who got attracted to each other despite coming from different worlds. Sakyo: The show is about a former yankee and a knight after all. Izumi: I'd like to read something as a reference too. Sakyo-san, do you have any recommendations? Sakyo: Let's see.... How about this? The content is quite close to home. "A Yakuza Who Likes to Save Money was Reincarnated to Another World Where His Younger Brother Became a Royalty." It is a story of a yakuza who got reincarnated in the royal medieval fantasy world and climbed to knighthood starting from zero. Itaru: Ah, "Ganayaku"? Actually, the anime is airing this season. The novel has a lot of volumes published too. Izumi: It's animated?! Muku: Stories about reincarnation to another world are popular these days. Itaru: Speaking of, they have an ongoing exhibition event. I already stopped by on my home but they have original anime paintings and photo spots. It looks like a real thing. Izumi: An exhibition event too... Itaru: Director-san, if by any chance you got hooked on to it, you might want to consider going there. Izumi:( Is it really that addicting... I wonder.) I'll watch the anime in the meantime. Sakyo: I borrowed the DVD from Chigasaki. Let's watch it later. Izumi: Sounds good.
-------------------
NOTES:
1) The title does have(略) or abbreviation mark on it xD- I searched for possible explanations to the abbreviation. There are different theories about the etymology of 'yakuza' and one of them is 'useless', coming from the gameOicho-Kabu (A traditional Japanese card game). Yakuza means 8 (ya) 9 (ku) 3 (za). If you draw 8-9-3 with Oicho-Kabu, you'll get 0 points, and it's 'useless'. Perhaps it’s related to the light novel’s protagonist who became a knight starting from zero.
2)Ganayakuis the shortened title of the novel/anime Sakyo recommended.

A3! Event Story Translation “SSR Family” [ Chapter 1 ]
Everyone talks about what they plan to do next.
*flashback*
Itaru
Is my voice on stream?
Let’s see, today I’ll be playing “KniRoun”
(0 viewers...... well, alright. I’ll do a dry run for today)
——.
(The views increased to 1...... this means someone is watching, right?)
(A-anyway, let’s get started)
Nomin
“GG on streaming~”
Itaru
“GG...... what’s that?”
Nomin
“You must be a noob. It means ‘Good job on broadcasting.’”
Itaru
Ah, got it. Thanks......
(Seems like some scary guy’s here.)
*flashback over*
Izumi
Akashi-kun, Rento-san,
Thank you as always!
Thanks to the two of you, our sound and lighting drastically improved and was well received by the audience.
Banri
It really broadened the scope of our production, it’s been an eye opener for me in a lotta ways.
Akashi
I should be the thankful one... This troupe is full of colorful people... s’been a lot of fun.
Taichi
Our music were bangers too!
Omi
It feels good that everything’s in place as they should be.
Kumon
Yeah yeah. The timing and all’s perfect!
Rento
The actors in this troupe already know what they want to do. I just match up the energy with how they feel and put the magic right in.
Masumi
I liked the BGM for the space police.
Rento
Yeah, ya musta loved that part!
Masumi
Mhm.
Matsukawa
The BGM guitar for ANIMS was also cool~
Rento
Hh, a word from the lord...... I'm seriously shaking right now.
Kumon
Rento-san's dynamic with the manager is amusing.
Kazunari
He really respects you, Sukechi~
Juza
The lighting changed for each group, it was great.
Akashi
Hhh, I, ah, I’m sorry!
Rento
Apologizing and for what. You’re too scared!
Izumi
He’s still not used to Juza-kun.
Juza
Something wrong......
Akashi
I-I'm sorry......
Tsumugi
Akashi-kun's lighting sure is impressive.
Tasuku
It’s effective for the more sober scenes.
Homare
I feel your great attention to detail from deep within.
Akashi
T-thank you so much......
Tsumugi
You’ll continue working with us, right?
Rento
Yup, that’s the plan.
Akashi
I-I look forward to working with you.
Rento You’ve got the Special Fleur Award and gained public traction now, what’s your next move?
Izumi
Now that we’re in the spotlight, we plan to put out performances by each troupe to show the unique charm of MANKAI Company.
Tsuzuru
It’s hard to keep performing with a full cast all the time.
Sakyo
The most distinctive feature MANKAI Company holds is the spring, summer, autumn and winter performances of each troupe. It’d be best for us to go back to our roots.
Izumi
So, we’ll do the usual thing and put out the 8th Spring performance.
Sakyo
Also steadily set on paying off the theater repair debt.
Matsukawa
Aah~ We’re living in the laps of debt again~…...
Rento
Spring troupe. Have you guys decided on a lead yet?
Sakuya
In terms of order, we were wondering if it should be Itaru-san or Tsuzuru-kun...
Itaru
I decided to give it a go.
Yuki
Aren’t you usually the unmotivated one?
Itaru
Actually, the long-awaited KniRoun X is gonna be released soon.
I’m gonna use a lot of my paid leave for play streams, so I won’t be able to attend rehearsals for a while, so I thought it’d be better to play the lead while I still can.
Yuki
So you weren’t even motivated in the first place.
Tsuzuru
The motive screams Itaru-san alright.
Chikage
Come to think of it, did you tell the others about it?
Itaru
Aah, right.
Izumi
?
Itaru
I’m gonna do some long-endurance streaming soon, room 103’s gonna be off-limits by then.
I’m about to celebrate the 7th anniversary, every year I do a long-endurance streaming sesh to commemorate it.
Tsuzuru
How long will it take?
Itaru
I’m planning on skipping a bunch of sub-events and stuff, but it’s gonna be pretty hard this time. I’m planning to speedrun it, so it might take up 20 hours more or less normally.
Taichi
20 hours!? You’re gonna play it for 20 hours straight!?
Izumi
What are you gonna do in the meantime, Chikage-san?
Itaru
I’m planning to adjust it to senpai’s business trip schedule.
Tenma
Who goes through all that trouble......
Itaru
I’m also celebrating the soon-to-be release of KniRoun X, I’m really hyped for it.
Sakuya
Which version of KniRoun will you play?
Itaru
I haven’t decided yet, it’s the 7th anniversary, so it’s either KniRoun VII or the most recent one, KniRoun IX......
Izumi
A lot of fans are gonna look forward to the stream of «Taruchi»
Akashi
Eh!?
T-Taruchi....... You mean the game streamer Taruchi......?
I-Itaru-san is Taruchi......? Well, now that you mention it, his voice is......
Izumi
You know him?
Akashi
Oh, um, I enjoy watching vids from the internet, I often watch video game livestreams......
I’ve been following V-tubers* recently, and Taruchi is famous for his KniRoun speedruns......
No way...... I never thought I’d see the real thing in such a place.......
Tsuzuru
Sounds like worship.
Sakuya
By the way, what’s a V-tuber?
Citron
A V-tuber is a streamer who uses a virtual avatar to perform a variety of activities on streaming sites!
There are many popular V-tubers who play games, sing, and even appear on TV nowadays!
Sakuya
Heh, really?
Tsuzuru
Citron-san sure knows his stuff.
Akashi
The latest technology is so amazing and advanced that it can track musical instrument performances in real time and linking it to images in virtual space......
With the avatar projected on the actual live venue, they can also do augmented reality lives......
Rento
Heh! Sounds interesting. I wanna watch it.
Akashi
I’ll dm you the URL of the video on LIME later.
Rento
As you should.
Izumi
(At first, I was worried if Akashi-kun and Rento-san would clash personality-wise...... but I’m glad to see they’re getting along just fine.)
Citron
My favorite V-tuber these days is Mochi Otoko!
Akashi
Oh, I like them too. I also like YO-KAN.
Itaru
Oh, they’re good. Their game commentary is interesting.
Citron
I also want to make my debut as a V-tuber! I can sing and dance just fine!
Itaru
Citron you’re already funny talking normally, so you’ll be popular in no time.
Izumi
(V-tubers huh. There’re so many different worlds now.)
*bell rings*
Guy
Welcome.
Yukio
Sorry I’m late
Izumi
D-dad!
Itaru
Did you just arrive?
Yukio
Yup, I came straight from the airport.
Masumi
Would you like a drink?
Yukio
Hmm, I think I’ll have a beer, then.
Sakuya
How long are you going to stay this time around?
Yukio
My work over there’s already taken care of, so I’ll be here for a while.
Masumi
Here’s a hand towel.
Tsuzuru
He’s been moving briskly for a while now.
Citron
Masumi, you are crying too hard!
Chikage
Trying?
Yukio
Ahaha, thanks.
Masumi
No, can I call you father-in-law?
Sakyo
Too soon!
Rento
Yukio-san, from the first gen MANKAI Company?
Akashi
Oh, um...... I’m grateful to you for having grandpa under your care.
Yukio
I’ve been indebted to Serizawa-san for a long time. I loved his delicate work.
How is Serizawa-san?
Akashi
He retired from actively working...... he still likes the stage and often goes to see performances.
Yukio
I see. I’ll go say hi to him next time.
Sakyo
That’s right, Serizawa-san's lighting was a sight to see.
Yukio
Oh, Sakyo-kun, what’re you drinking?
Sakyo
It’s sake.
Yukio
You sure are an adult now.
Sakyo
You’re calling someone over 30 an adult...... I’m already a legit old man here.
Yukio
Eh, Sakyo-kun so you’re an old man now?
But not long ago you were so small, and now we can drink together like this, it’s kind of emotional.
Sakyo
Well, I’m also glad that Yukio-san was able to come over like this.
Izumi
He’ll be going back and forth between America for a while.
Yukio
That’s right. I’ll definitely go see the performances of the newborn MANKAI Company in the future. Have you made a decision on what to do next?
Sakuya
We’ll be doing a performance for Spring troupe!
Yukio
Is that so. I’m looking forward to it.
Izumi
(I’ve been through a lot up to this point, but I’m glad I can see dad casually like this now.)
Itaru
Hmm...... it’s the 7th anniversary, I wanna do something different than usual for this one.
*phone rings*
Itaru Hm?
(Incoming call: Great Demon King)
Itaru
…... Ugh.
---------- T/Ns:
I chose to use ‘V-tuber’ instead of the direct translation ‘V-talent’ for a more localized feel

SR Taichi [The Fantasy that I Adore]: Backstage Translation
I have come to the acceptance that Taichi will be the gacha for this play, but he’s a good boy and he came home fast so I’m happy. But that’s exactly the problem, because he’s too much of a good boy, I feel the need to return his sword to him. Conclusion is, I spend a bit too much on the gacha, but no regret.
Anyway, a bit update, I do want to translate Autumn 7th play but my assignment says “NOOOOO”. So yeah, if I can finish my assignment in time and no one else is doing it, I will be picking it up I guess. Scratch that, just received an email from my prof saying that I’ll have a test next week...
Summary:
Taichi’s getting Sakuya to help him with his swordplay, in return, Taichi has to help with a performance in Sakuya’s part time daycare.
Disclaimer:
A3! is owned by Liber’s Entertainment
Translator’s Note: I’m actually not very sure of the name of Kasumi’s three daughters. If anyone knows the correct reading, please tell me, thank you~
Mr. Swordsman and Play House
Taichi:
Ha! Hyaah!
Woah!? The sword flew away from my hand!
Sakuya:
Ah.
Taichi-kun, good work.
Here, your sword.
Taichi:
Sakkun! Thanks for bringing it back to me!
Sakuya:
Are you practicing for the upcoming performance?
Taichi:
Yep! I haven’t done a lot of scenes that include swordfight before, so I need to practice a lot.
Sakuya:
I see, Autumn Troupe has a lot of action scenes that don’t use sword.
Taichi:
Speaking of which, Sakkun also have swordplay experience because of your RomeJuli performance right…
Sakuya:
Yep, it’s true but… What about it?
Taichi:
Sakkun!
I have a request for you.
Sakuya:
A request?
Taichi:
As a Senpai in swordplay, I want you to teach me how to handle a sword!
Sakuya:
Eh!?
But, I’m not that good at it either you know?
Taichi:
That’s not the case at all!
I would be very happy if I can get a guidance from Sakkun who played Romeo, please…!
Sakuya:
If you say so… I’m not sure if I can teach well, but if you’re fine with me, I’ll keep you company with practice!
Taichi:
Alright! Thank you, Sakkun!
Pleased to work with you!
Sakuya:
Then, I’ll take the sword prop that I used previously.
Taichi:
Yep.
Alright, I’ll do some swinging until Sakkun comes back!
Ha! Hyaah!
<Short Time Skip>
Sakuya:
Sorry for the wait!
Taichi:
Uwaa, Sakkun~!
Sakuya:
Wha, what happened?
Taichi:
The sword went flying out of my hand sometimes~!
It’s like it just slipped out of my hand~.
Sakuya:
Hmm, maybe you should balance your power more.
When you’re swinging the sword, you might release the power on your grip unconsciously.
Why don’t we try to focus on the way you hold the sword?
It should look like this!
Taichi:
Oh! Let me try it too!
Sakuya:
Anyway, let’s try swinging it together!
<Short Time Skip>
Sakuya:
Good work. You might get injured if you do it for too long, so let’s stop here for the day!
Taichi:
Alright!
Thanks for accompanying me today, Sakkun.
Thanks to Sakkun, the sword’s not flying away from my hand anymore, really really thanks to you!
Sakuya:
Yeah, it’s not because of me though, it’s because of Taichi-kun’s effort.
I think your way of holding the sword has definitely become much better.
Taichi:
Hehe, I’m happy if Sakkun said so.
Ah, right! As thanks for helping me with practice, maybe I can help you with anything?
Sakuya:
Eh!? You don’t need to do anything!
Taichi:
It won’t feel right otherwise!
I was really helped by Sakkun’s teaching you know.
That’s why, I want you to tell me if you need help with anything!
Sakuya:
…Understood. Then, I’ll think of something!
<Shifts to Lounge>
Director:
Taichi-kun, is your practice going well?
Taichi:
Yes! I practice with the sword every day, I also got Sakkun to observe if he has free time.
Sakuya:
I’m home!
Taichi:
Ah, speak of the devil.
Welcome back, Sakkun!
Director:
Welcome back.
Sakuya:
Just nice.
Taichi-kun, there’s something that I need to request from you…
Taichi:
What what? I’ll listen to anything if it’s a request from Sakkun.
There’s also the thanks for the sword play!
Sakuya:
Actually, I was asked to do a short original play by the daycare director.
Won’t you do it together with me?
Director:
By daycare, you mean the place you’re part timing at?
Sakuya:
Yes. I had a part time job today, and the conversation just flow into how I was practicing sword play somehow.
And then, he said about how the children will be happy if I can do it in front of them…
Director:
I see. Even if it’s just in front of children, it might be a good idea to have the grip of performing sword play in front of people before the actual performance.
It might be good to showcase the result of Taichi-kun’s training too.
What do you think, Taichi-kun?
Taichi:
Of course, I’m okay with it!
Sakuya:
That’s great, thank you!
Taichi:
No problem!
Alright, let’s showcase the result of our training and make the children happy!
<End of Part 1>
Daycare Director:
Pleased to work with you.
Director:
Me too, pleased to work with you.
(I came to greet the daycare director, but…
I wonder how Taichi-kun and Sakuya-kun doing now.
This time, we got Tsuzuru to think of a short script for the performance too.
It’s a short story, the movement’s pretty simple too, I hope the children will be happy with it)
Taichi:
Everyone, sorry for the wait!
Sakuya:
This time, Sensei and Taichi onii-chan will be doing a performance, so everyone, please enjoy.
(TLN: Sakuya’s referring to himself as sensei.)
Child A:
Wah~ I’m looking forward to it!
Child B:
What kind of story is it!
Sakuya:
Then without further ado, let’s start~
<Short Time Skip>
Sakuya:
“Taichi! The monster’s going that way!”
Taichi:
“Like I’ll lose like this! Let’s go!
Hyaaah!”
Child A:
Good luck!
Child B:
Go go!
<Short Time Skip>
Sakuya:
Thank you so much!
Taichi:
Thanks!
Child A:
Mr. Swordsman’s so cool!
Child B:
Yep!
Swing swing and bang, it was so cool!
Taichi:
Hehe, I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
Director:
(The two of them did a very lively performance.
The children seem to be enjoying it too)
[
[
Choice 1: So how is it, doing swordplay in front of people?
Director:
Taichi-kun, so how is it, doing swordplay in front of other people?
Taichi:
At first, as I thought, I was a bit nervous.
But Sakkun was by my side, he kept giving me signals with his eyes and it’s so reassuring, I ended up getting too absorbed in it!
Thank you, Sakkun!
Sakuya:
Ehehe, I’m glad it was useful! Me too, I got Masumi-kun to accompany me for practice during the RomeJuli swordplay—
Even during the actual performance, he made it easy for me to follow and it’s really reassuring to have him on stage with me.
Taichi:
I see!
Director:
(Like this, the members are able to encourage each other’s development by supporting one another… What a wonderful thing)
]
]
[
[
Choice 2: The result of your practice is showing!
Director:
The result of your practice is showing great!
Taichi:
Really!?
Director:
Yep, your stance is good and the impact’s there too.
Even I was pulled into it.
Taichi:
I did it! Hehe, I’m really happy!
I’m still going to do my best in practice, and I’m going to show you even a better performance than today!
Director-sensei, look forward to my cool swordplay!
]
]
Sakura:
Sakuya-sensei! Sakuya-sensei’s doing a performance today, so papa said that he wanted to come too!
Sakuya:
Eh, Kasumi-san?
Taichi:
(Kasumi-san…?)
Kaede:
But, he wasn’t able to get a break from his work so he was crying because he couldn’t go.
Tsubaki:
Yes~!
Sakuya:
Eh!? So Kasumi-san was going to take leave to see my performance.
Taichi:
Anyway, Sakkun.
By Kasumi-san, you mean the first-generation Spring Troupe’s…?
Sakuya:
Yeah, you’re right!
These children are Kasumi-san’s daughters!
Taichi:
Eh!? What a great coincidence!
Sakura:
Hey hey, Sakuya-sensei, Taichi onii-chan, let’s play house together!
Tsubaki:
Let’s do it, let’s do it!
Daycare Director:
I’m sorry, even though you just ended the performance…
Nanao-kun too, is it alright to get you to play with them too?
Director:
It’s alright.
Right, Taichi-kun.
Taichi:
Of course!
Sakuya:
Then, let’s play house with Sensei.
Girl A:
I want to join too!
Sakuya-sensei will be the Mr. swordsman that protects me, and Taichi-kun will be my husband!
Girl B:
Then, Taichi-kun will be the swordsman that protects me!
Girl C:
Then then, Sakuya-sensei will be my fiancé!
Taichi & Sakuya:
Eh!
Boy A:
I’ll be Taichi’s older brother!
Boy B:
I want to play as Sakuya-sensei’s little brother…
Boy C:
Then, I’m going to be Taichi onii-chan’s disciple!
Sakuya:
Ahaha, somehow this becomes a very grand play house.
Taichi:
Eh umm, the wife, the princess, older brother, and disciple…
Uh, the setting’s too complicated~!
But I guess you can’t let the children’s down right!
In the name of MANKAI company, I’m going to drill the setting to my head and play house with everyone!
Sakuya:
Yeah, let’s do our best!
Boy C:
Teach! What are we doing today?
Taichi:
Alright, first of all, let’s do some sword training today.
Girl A:
Kyaa! Mr. swordsman, help me!
Sakuya:
Princess, I’ll protect you!
Hyaah!
Girl B:
Taichi, I want to go to the neighboring town, come with me.
Taichi:
Of course. I will escort you properly.
Boy D:
I am the leader of the knights! There will be a tournament for all swordsman, of course, Sakuya and Taichi are joining too!
Sakuya:
I’ll do my best!
Girl A:
Dear, buy some potatoes on your way back today!
Don’t forget, okay!
Taichi:
Alright!
Eh umm, I need to practice sword, escort the princess to the neighboring town, prepare for the swordsman tournament, get some potatoes on the way…!?
Director:
(The two of you, good luck…!)
Daycare Director:
Nanao-kun seems to be good with children.
Director:
Taichi-kun has little brother and sister who are quite far apart in age.
Daycare Director:
Ah, no wonder, he seems to be very used to it.
<Short Time Skip>
Daycare Director:
Thank you so much for today.
The children are very happy too.
Director:
Same here, thank you so much.
Taichi:
I have so much fun here too!
Daycare Director:
If you got the chance, do come and play house with the children again.
Taichi:
Yes!
Eh, what!?
Not the performance, but that!?

Hi! If you don't mind me asking, what timezone are you in, Nathya-chan? Anyways, random but I want to talk about some songs in A3. In my opinion, Homare has the best voice. I can listen to Kiteretsu Poemer all day, it's my favorite song. Any song with Homare's VA in it is an instant favorite of mine. Petenshi no Yuutsu is also amazing, whenever I hear it, it goes on loop a couple times. Oh, when I first heard the A3 op, I liked Tsumugi's voice the most, and now I'm a Winter Troupe stan👌~🍞💜
my timezone is GMT +8 !!!
of course i do think all of them are great singers, but i'm gonna have to agree that homare easily has one of the best voices in mankai! i'd also like to add chikage, juza, kumon, guy, misumi to that mix... and maybe because i'm biased, tasuku. of course, in A3! canon it's stated that homare and juza are the rly good singers so it really shows thru their songs 👀
kiteretsu isn't one of those songs i can put on loop, but it is something that genuinely uplifts my spirits. pentenshi no yuutsu is actually my favourite a3! song! that's my most played song on spotify, actually (i think i listen to it around 10 times a day?)
i've mentioned this before in some posts/asks/that 86-slide powerpoint i made (that needs updating) that i like to replay certain parts of petenshi too so i'll be stuck on that song for 30 minutes!!!!
but in terms of troupes autumn and winter's play songs are my most replayed— i have a clear favourite play song with spring (usotsuki, though the 7th spring song might beat it soon hmm...) and summer (susume pirates), but autumn and winter... so hard to decide! my autumn favourite used to be ginji, but now it's inbetween manju and respawn! as for winter, it's in between unmask, dokkou dou, and plastic poker!
ahhhh, i got too chatty, didn't i? sorry, i just really love the A3! songs!!! well, you only mentioned the solos so what do you think about the play songs?

Mankai Stage Autumn 2020 Part 1
The opening was hella dramatic.
Spring/Summer is usually paired together, and Autumn/Winter are paired together. With Winter being the adult group, their stories tend to have a more somber tone, especially when compared to Spring/Summer’s lighthearted atmosphere. And maybe since they’re a pair, Autumn also has a more somber tone??? Like, yea, they’re the action troupe, but Act 3 kind of had a more serious tone with it’s My Portrait and everything.
So yea, the opening was hella dramatic. I don’t even know what they were talking about, but each Akigumi member had their own monologue. I think it might’ve been bits and pieces of their portraits?
For this round of stage plays, every performance had the same opening number. Akigumi did too, but they changed the music to fit their more “rock” style, which was... interesting. Lololol.
It caught me off guard. And it made me wonder if Spring and Summer also had their own music, but maybe they were too similar that I couldn’t tell.
Taichi trying to act as a girl in the beginning was hella cringey, lol. Juza threw up because of it, LOL.
Sakoda Ken is the unofficial 7th member (once Azami joins) of Akigumi, and that’s a fact. I love him so much, lololol.
You know in the game Sakyo does care for Sakoda, even if he may be a little tsundere about it. And in the stage play you can really see that, and it’s so adorable. I wasn’t 100% sure exactly what was going on, but I think Sakoda wanted to have a rap session with Sakyo. And Sakyo indulges him. It’s MEGA CUTE.
Whoever the actor is for Ryo, he did SUCH A GOOD JOB!!! My heart was breaking for him.
TENMA AND BANRI FINALLY SHARE THE STAGE TOGETHER!!! It’s really funny how each A3ders seem to toss the baton to each other. When Sakuya was struggling, Banri and Tsumugi helped. Then he helped Tenma. Now Tenma encourages Banri. It’s real sweet.
Juza also is an adorkable baby who really cares for his fellow troupe members. He tries to help out but he’s so awkward about it, it’s so endearing!
THE BEACH SCENE WITH OMI AND TAICHI WAS EVERYTHING!!!!
I really love how they used their stage and backdrops for this part. I thought that it was really creative and smart.
And the whole scene was so touching and cute and gahhh, my heart. My fave roomies~
The actual stage play was also really fun. It was super intense and high action.
And I think there was a bit of romantic undertone between Wolf and Zero??? Just the way Taichi’s actor acted, it made it come off that way. Just an observation. Personally, I thought that it was cute.
Banri’s character was hella creepy though, lololol
Overall, this was a lot of fun!

Hey, same person who said Sand Cat Muku is cute, again. Loved the Masumi Last Planet SSR card. It reminds me of a convenience store in Japan that sells freshly baked bread & it does sell curry bread. Unrelated, Silver’s Master Chef assignment was beef stew & his judge’s fave food is actually curry(akin to Omi giving Izumi the Mankai dorm stew in the Autumn troupe 7th play event story, though Izumi’s dad loves stew).
Hey! Glad you liked it! And both the new Masumi cards are feeding us so well omggg 😭 can't wait to tl the R card too 😭😭
Also, I'm gonna be honest, I'm not a big fan of Japanese curry LOL cause there was a point in my life I ate way too much of it, so now I can't stand the taste.. 😅 I usually go for メロンパン or 豆大福 at コンビニ ✌️ haha
Ohhh, that's funny how it's coincidentally so similar 😆

Eclipse I, II 10′27″, 13′25″ Two-channel video & stereo sound 4K 2020
Credit Fragments for North Korean Gayageum and Harp(2020) Composed by Soo Jung Shin Seventh Night for North Korean Gayageum and Harp(2020) Composed by Jiyoung Kim North Korean Gayageum Soon A Park Harp Jungyeong Bang
Eclipse I, II questions the senses currently given to us by the experience of division and boundary, recalling the life and the music of the composer Yun Isang. Yun Isang’s Double Concerto compares the Seventh Night folktale to inter-Korean relations. The division of the South and the North remains now, and extends well beyond 1977, when the concerto was written. Jun Sojung explores the relationship between the two Koreas, as distant and vague as the distance of the Milky Way, and the psychological and physical boundaries of the people living in these countries, through sound and images.
Eclipse I, II is a two-channel video based on the performance of two songs composed for North Korean gayageum* and harp. Working with gayageum player Park Soona, harpist Bang Jungyeong, composer Shin Soojung and Kim Jiyoung, it shows imagery collapsing and being rebuilt around the two stringed instruments; the North Korean gayageum and the harp. They hide, reveal, and change their perspectives, and capture a momentary consensus like the blink of an eye.
Based on Shin Soojung’s Fragments, Eclipse I presents an image of being individually present and achieving autonomous integration as a whole, just like the four imaginary animals in Sasindo. Through this, the artist imagines the freedom to cross the East, the West, the South and the North within the common theme of these tunes.
Kim Jiyoung’s Seventh Night, which adapted some of the seven notes and chords of Double Concerto composed by Yun Isang, illustrates seven scenes in Eclipse II. The score, which crosses the emotional layers by repeating the harp’s seven pedals and the North Korean gayageum’s 21 strings three times, expresses a tense reunion in the final chapter.
*Note: The North Korean gayageum, which was upgraded to 21 strings when North Korean music expanded from the five notes, the base of traditional Korean music, to the seven notes of classical music under the influence of Russia in the 1960s and 1970s. It has been compromised to realize the vibrato of twelve- stringed traditional gayageum, which is widely used in South Korea.
Participating Artists
North Korean gayageum player Soona Park, was born in Japan, and studied gayageum from former Korean traditional music masters that went to North Korea at the National Pyongyang Music and Dance College (currently, Kim Won Gyun Pyongyang Music College), and graduated from the School of Korean Traditional Arts at Korea National University of Arts with a master’s degree, and also studied under Korean traditional music masters. Park is mainly active in South Korea as a gayageum player crisscrossing the cultures of Pyongyang, North Korea, Japan and Korea. She worked in Geumgangsan Theater Troupe as the only group of artists in Korea to perform abroad, and is also a member of KOTOHIME, a gayageum ensemble, in Asia.
Harpist Junkyung Bang acquired a diploma at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris / Alfred Cortot(France). She played the Focus on Youth at The 7th World Harp Congress in Praha, while winning the first prize at the Monthly Music Competition and Seoul National University Competition while at school. Having returned home, she collaborated with Daegu Symphony Orchestra, Wonju Symphony Orchestra and Seoul Chamber Ensemble.
Composer Jiyoung Kim acquired a doctoral degree at the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati. She won prizes in Seattle International Composition Competition, Dvorak Composition Competition and German International Choir Composition Competition. She also entered the finals for the Minnesota Orchestra Composition Contest, and took part in the concert for the Midwest Composers Symposium.
Composer Soojung Shin majored in composition at Mozarteum University in Austria. She won many prizes including Theodor Körne Prize, Paumgartner Medal, GEDOK Competition and DAAD Artist Program. She also released her works in many music festivals including Warsaw Autumn Festival, Darmstadt Summer Festival and the Korean Orchestra Festival.
Born in Korea, Isang Yun studied at the Paris Conservatory in France. He came to be spotlighted in the European musical circles by releasing《Music for Seven Instruments》which has the Korean jeongak (meaning “proper music” in Korean) tonality along with the chromatic scale at the Darmstadt International Contemporary Music Festival (Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik in Darmstadt) held in Germany in 1959. He visited North Korea in 1963 to see the Four Guardian Deities from Gangseodaemyo which was the motif for his work <Image>(1969). He was imprisoned for two years after being abducted and taken to Seoul on the fabricated charge of spying in the East Berlin Incident, but was later set free thanks to the public movement to save him in the global music community. He was naturalized as a German citizen in 1971, and left about 150 pieces of work. He has been acclaimed for “expressing East Asiatic images through the Western contemporary music techniques” and “combining the playing techniques for the Korean music with Western musical instruments.”

Sakyo Furuichi SSR ( Thanks for the Delicious Meal ) - Part 3
Part 1|| Part 2 || Part 3
Story Title: “ A Yakuza(abbrv.) Who Likes to Save Money”
Anime’s Voice Actor: "I can never forgive a man who tramples on his own duty and humanity. I'll defeat every single one of you!" Kumon: So Cool ~! Taichi: He's dashing ! Izumi: (Everyone's already glued on screen before I knew it) Itaru: Ah, welcome home. How's the exhibition event? Kumon: Eh? Did you go to Ganayaku exhibition event? How nice~ ! Taichi: I want to go too ! Muku: Ganayaku's main character is super cool, isn't he? He looks like Sakyo-san ! Sakyo: I don't think it'll be possible for me to do things as calmly as him if I ever get reincarnated to another world. Taichi: But I'll be surprised too if I were to have a younger brother all of a sudden. Itaru: If I ever get reincarnated, I'll make sure to utilize all my modern language and rely on those power. Muku: Me, I want to become a knight ~. How I wish I could become a full-pledge knight ! Kumon: I want to obtain a super cool sword and become a hero ! Taichi: I want to use magic ! Itaru: How about director-san? Izumi: Eh? Me? Hm... I wonder what is it that I want.... More than anything, I'm worried if I'd still be able to make curry.. Itaru: You're as resolute as ever. If that's the case, then the title should be " The Chairman of the Troupe Opened a Curry Shop in Another World!" Sakyo: It's going to have a solid development.. Taichi: It suits her well! Muku: Ah, that's right, director-san. Please read this when you have time. It's a story of an office lady who got reincarnated to another world and fell in love with a knight. It's heart fluttering ! Izumi: Thank you. I will read it. (Heh~ the main character is an office lady. I wonder if the main character fights with a sword too, like in Ganayaku. ) ( If by any chance I got killed and reincarnated to another world, I don't think I'd be able to fight at all. I am sure to die soon if I don't rely on someone)
Izumi: .... (The novel Muku-kun recommended is interesting. It's not just about romance but how they profoundly depicted a different world view is extremely enticing too.) Fuaa... ( I want to read more but I have to get up early tomorrow. Time to go to sleep... )
Izumi..... ? ( This place.... Where am I ? This place seems familiar but I can't remember exactly....) Soldier A: You, over there ! Where did you come from? Izumi: ! ! Soldier B: You are wearing unfamiliar clothes. That's suspiciousーー。 Soldier C: Could it be, she's a prisoner of war? Soldier B: No, there's no way a prisoner of war would end in a place like this. Soldier C: She's wearing weird clothes but it's not that bad. Is she a princess of some small country? Soldier A: In any case, we can make good use of you. I'll take you with me. Izumi: Eh? Wa-wait a minuteーー. ( Looks like I got caught in a very bad situation !? ) Soldier B: Come along quietly ! Izumi : ーー! ???: Ha ! ----*Schwing* Soldier B: Guaaahh !! Soldier A: --An enemy ! Surround him! ???: Ha ! ----*Schwing* Soldier C: Ughーー!
Izumi: (Eh? Sakyo-san....No.. Could it be, Klaus ?) Soldier: We'll retreat for now ! Shit ! Klaus: ....Phew. Izumi: Ah, Um...Thank you very much. Klaus: Are you okay? Izumi: Yes. Klaus: What are you doing here? Did they bring you here? Izumi: No-- I'm already here before I noticed. I have no idea what happened too....
Klaus: Are you lost? Either way, it is a bad time to get lost. It's not safe here. I will protect you to the best of my ability. Don't leave my side. Izumi: ーーY-yes !
Izumi: ーー. A d-dream ....? ( I wonder if it's because I was reading a novel about a different world...but Klaus appeared. It’s somehow mixed up with Autumn Troupe's performance)
Sakyo: .....Ha ! Izumi: (Sakyo-san is early as usual. He already started training for the sword fight ) Sakyo: Haa! Izumi: ...... (Oh, and he's exactly like the Klaus in my dream ) Sakyo: .... What now? You'll bore a hole through me. Izumi: No...it's just that... (I'm sure Sakyo-san will be able to fight back if he's stuck in that kind of situation unlike me. ) I was wondering if you would follow me if I ever go to another world. Sakyo: Aah ? Izumi: ーーAh, sorry. It's nothing. Sakyo: Go wash your face if you're still sleepy. Izumi: Yes..... Sakyo: .....Geez... Well, at that moment, there's no way I would let you go alone for sure.

I just read Autumn's 7th play story and it just hit me hard. It must be painful, the feelings of not knowing someone who's close to you, and with no way to get answers. I'm really, really glad that Omi has his support system.
On another note, isn't this story just screaming OmiNachi was real? Okay, jk, but well...
When I first saw the cards reveal I was like ??? because Sakyo's costume just don't fit with Banri's and I was really confused. After reading the whole play tho, I have to say that if the play got adapted into a manga or anime, I'm sure I would love it. That's like, one of my favourite tropes. Kudos to Tsuzuru. I hope they'll explore these kind of stories more.
Back to Omi, I liked him before, but now I like him even more. "Cooking is the way I show people I love that I care about them." That's very sweet. I didn't think that I'd get this invested about this particular event story, but I did, so, yeah.

Are your exams are done? You don't have to worry about translating Autumn Troupe's 7th play story. Someone translate that on yaycupcake. So, you don't have to worry about it. It's complete already.
Hello, nope, not yet. Yep, I saw that too, thanks for telling me though~
(Of course, kudos on the translator for doing a good job on Autumn7th XD)
I guess since we’re here, I might as well make an announcement that I’m taking a break on October and November due to midterms and exams. Might pop out once in a while for Glitter Taichi and other random stuffs... But I won’t be doing any event stories on those 2 months~
Thank you for understanding~

Sakyo Furuichi SSR ( Thanks for the Delicious Meal ) - Part 2
Part 1 || Part 2 || Part 3 ||
(T/N: SakyoIzu crumbs y’all (ノŎꇴŎ)ノ*✲゚*。⋆ )
Story Title: “ A Yakuza(abbrv.) Who Likes to Save Money”
Izumi: ( I ended up coming here.... ) ( I didn't expect I'd be hooked with it... It is packed with unexpected and exciting development about duty and humanity and in such an unorthodox setting too) ..... The line is not advancing at all.
Sakyo: .... Geez. Why do I have to spend my precious day off in a place like this? Izumi: But Sakyo-san, you got hooked on it too. You stayed up all night watching the anime, didn't you? After that, you even read the original novel... Sakyo: That's because they omitted some scenes in the anime. It's only natural. Izumi: (He's one huge fan ) "Ganayaku" also added scenes in the animation. There's this scene where the main character rushed to help his younger brother! Sakyo: Indeed. That's why after reading the original story, I rewatched the anime from the 1st episode. Izumi: ( He's one die-hard fan...) Sakyo: Speaking of a good scene, after his younger brother's betrayal--- Izumi: Ah ! They haven't reached that part in the anime yet. Don't spoil me ! Sakyo: You're right. My bad. Izumi: It's fine... It's just that keywords such as 'betrayal' is making me super curious. Sakyo: Wanna hear about it? Izumi: I'll hold off! Thanks to "Ganayaku", we were able to study the pattern and theories of getting reincarnated to another world. Sakyo: As for the setting, I’d say it’s classic. The author understands that duty and humanity are indispensable for a yakuza. Izumi: --Ah, the line is moving.
Izumi: We finally reached the showpiece photo spot ! Sakyo: It’s the scene setting for the 1st season’s last battle. Izumi: The famous scene where they revealed the true identity of the main character's beloved younger brother. Sakyo: I didn't expect he's also reincarnated from the present world. Izumi: I was surprised! Sakyo: The best part was when the main character preached a line about duty and humanity. Izumi: It's extremely passionate, isn't it? Staff: Next person. Come this way, please. Izumi: Ah! They have the main character's sword and shield ! Staff: The staff will take a photo, please strike a pose. Izumi: Ehh !? ( I-it's kinda embarrassing...) Sakyo-san, do it! Sakyo: Aah? Izumi: It's a great reference for your role making! Sakyo: Don't you just want to push things on to me? Izumi: Well, well. Sakyo: Can't help it. "I can never forgive a man who tramples on his own duty and humanity. I'll defeat every single one of you!" Izumi: Ohh--! As expected of Sakyo-san, you're unshakable! Staff: It's perfect ! Izumi: Well then, let's head to the next spot--- Sakyo: ..... You made me do it, do it too. Izumi: Ehh?! Staff: Since you're already here. Please, come this way. Izumi: Uh, ughh. "I, I can never forgive a man w-who tramples on his own duty and humanity. I-I'll d-defeat every single one of y-you!" Sakyo: ..... You're a ham actor as usual. Izumi: It's not obvious in the photo so it's all good!
----------
NOTES:
1) Izumi refers to イロモノ (iromono) a general term for anything unorthodox.
2) Izumi refers to compound kanji '義理人情' (Giri ninjō) meaning duty and humanity; or a sense of moral obligation and humane feelings.
3) Izumi refers to ‘お約束’ (oyakusoku) it literally means ‘promise’--but in creative media, ‘oyakusoku’ refers to formula or ‘pattern’ of development that is repeated every time in different media.
(T/N: So many confusing words in this one..... (꒪ཀ꒪」∠)_ )
