Mercs with a reader who’s like Mitsuri
Heavy
Heavy really appreciates you. He likes to cook, and when he does, he makes huge portions. So seeing that you eat a lot, it makes him happy. The last thing he would want is for you to go hungry.
He was curious one day, and wanted to see if you could lift Sasha. So he gave you permission to pick his gun up, with the caveat that you had to be extremely careful with her. Was pleasantly surprised and pleased to see that you could lift her with ease.
Compared to his serious and stoic demeanor, he loves how bubbly and happy you are! It really makes his heart flutter, even if he doesn’t outwardly show it.
He also loves how absolutely authentic you are to yourself. If anyone says anything negative about you, they’re going to find the end of his fists. Nobody hurts you and gets away with it, not on his watch.
Engineer
“Heavy load, coming through!” Is something you’re going to hear much more from him now that you’re around. With your permission and assistance, he can build bigger and heavier contraptions! He’s incredibly grateful, because even though he himself is strong, you’re much stronger than him.
Just like Heavy, it’s normal in his family to have big meals, so at first he wasn’t sure how you would react to him giving you so much food. But he’s incredibly joyful once he sees that you’ve finished your plate and asked for more! You’ll definitely fit in at the family barbecues.
When he’s having a bad day, it always makes him at least the little bit happier when you’re around. You’re so bubbly and sweet that he can’t possibly be upset much longer.
Has tried to arm wrestle you with his gunslinger before, just out of curiosity. He wanted to see how far your physical strength actually went. You lost obviously as you can’t out force a robot arm.
Medic
Is absolutely fascinated by how strong you are despite you not looking it. Definitely wants to do experiments on you to determine why this is the case. Is there something that makes you different than the others? Or is it just pure natural strength?
Observes you from a distance, just watching you interact with the others. Is probably the one least likely to call you a monster, he thinks you’re a perfect specimen.
Doesn’t say anything, but he thinks it’s very attractive when you lift very heavy things. It sends a shiver down his spine that he has to shake off. He might ask you to help him declutter his office sometime as it has some very large medical instruments that need removing.
Is also impressed about how much you can eat, and wonders if how much you eat correlates to how you were able to retain all that muscle mass. Not so discretely takes notes on you while eating.
Demoman
When he hears about how strong you are, he wants to see if you can wield the eyelander. When you can, he shows you the power of wielding both the eyelander and the chargin’ targe. He teaches you how to use them, because he figures that you have enough muscle mass to keep you safe.
When he gets a new barrel or box full of materials he asks if you can help him move it so he can get to work on making more of them. When you do, you happily talk to him all the way, helping to motivate him to work harder.
Because you can eat so much, he wonders if you can drink a lot as well. Challenges you to a drinking contest, and when you inevitably lose, he apologizes profusely. Is still incredibly impressed about how far you got though.
Though, he does tell you how cute you were while drunk. You thought you were bubbly sober? Take it to another level whole nother level. You were giggling, cracking jokes and cuddling up to him.
Pyro
They knew you were a fun person the first time they laid their eyes on you. This is another person who will relate to being called a monster and will not hesitate to torch whoever did it.
When they bake, they ask you to be their taste tester! They want to make sure everything is right, and if it takes a batch or two, that’s okay! Your voracious appetite won’t be ruined if you have a few cupcakes!
When they want to make a big bonfire outside (much to the chagrin of others.) They also ask you to help them find some large kindling so that they can have a big party!
Pyro also loves hugs, and you can often be seen either picking them up in a hug, or carrying them across your shoulder. They’re surprisingly light, even with the suit and it makes them incredibly happy that you pick them up.
Scout
Like Demoman, he is incredibly interested to see how much food you can eat. Challenges you to a food eating contest, but this time, he loses. He’s absolutely miserable after the fact, but thinks you’re so cool for eating that much food.
Scout loves running with you, and loves that you can actually keep up with him. You’re nimble and quick like him, and it causes him to want to keep doing his best.
Despite him being a bit ruder, and a bit more brash, you two are constantly chattering like birds, talking about basically everything, no matter how stupid the things coming out of his mouth may be.
You stand up for him when he gets attacked, because as much as he can be annoying he doesn’t deserve to be beaten up like a bully in high school
Soldier
Is suspicious of you at first. Your arms and legs are tiny, how could you possibly be as strong as you say they are? The rest of the mercs must have been just been nice to you. That is, until he sees you clock an enemy with just your strength during a battle.
From then on, considers you to be a real American soldier, perfect for the battlefield of life. Helps you find what weapons would be the best suited for you, since weight isn’t a problem.
Applauds you on your abilities in the battlefield, and sticks close to you. Nobody is better than him, and he just wants to make sure that you’re taking his war tips to heart.
When dinner time comes, he’s incredibly shocked at how much you eat, and is lowkey concerned that you’re overdoing it. You’re tiny, you don’t want to make yourself sick on the mission tomorrow!
Sniper
You work with him as somewhat of a bodyguard when he’s on high ground. He can view the area in front of him, while you make sure that nobody is sneaking up on him from behind. You’re strong enough to make sure nobody gets to his perch.
In the off time though, he likes having barbecues in the front of his vans. You’re incredibly fond of them, and the first time you have a barbecue with him, he realizes that he won’t have to worry about leftovers.
Whenever he needs help with his van, he requests your help. Whether it’s the inside or the outside, he knows that he can count on you. Usually it’s that the van needs a new tire or some new wiring, and you’re always willing to help.
Being someone who is tall and lanky but moderately strong, he relates to you. There’s one big difference between the two of you though, and that’s that he’s really quiet. Your chattering actually helps him feel more comfortable because it lets you control the conversation and allows him to say what he needs to say without having to speak up too much.
Spy
Just like Sniper, Spy enjoys listening to you talk. However, because Spy is a more realistic person, your positivity helps balance out the tone of your conversation. When he’s having a particularly bad day, just listening to you talk is helpful to ease your mind.
He definitely wants you to try some of his home cooked food, because while he noticed you eat a lot of food, you love everything that you eat. He just hopes that you aren’t put off by French portion sizes.
Quite likes how you are nimble and quick. Had you not be so talkative, he thinks you’d make quite a good spy. He does teach you how to be a bit more silent so you can sneak up on scout though.
Is confused why people would call you a monster, had they never seen someone so strong before? He likes it that way, so you don’t have to rely on him as much, and that makes him much more likely to help you on the rare occasion you do need it.

His pace was strong and exact as he walked through the ships shining white hallway. Hair cut to a precise straight line with pointed ears, a shining example of his Valcan linage.
His uniform was nothing short of excellent, no wrinkle or crease would dare disturb it's perfection. The tablet in his hand had many names of crew members across the screen.
Behind him, hundreds of cadets, Ensign's and officers ran through the hallway. Some carrying baggage or equipment for the long journey that lay ahead.
The blue, red, and yellow uniforms looked like smudged lines to Spock. No one daring to crash into him or hinder his way, as his intense focus on the tablet demanded his presence to be known.
Behind him came a red uniform, short skirted Lieutenant Commander Uhura runs closer. Her pace quickened to a jog to catch up to him. She dodged one of the Cadets carrying heavy boxes until she finally caught up to Spock.
"Spock!" she called to him but his attention never faltered from the tablet screen.
One name of the many pops up and he selects it. The profile of Ensign Y/n L/n appeared.
"What is it, Uhura?"
"I just needed to enquire on the specific time of launch."
Spock scrolls down to the information on the profile.
"There's no question, we leave O' eight hundred hours, current planet time. We've given everyone sufficient time to prepare for a life long expedition of exploration."
Uhura growls and dodges another Cadet carrying some equipment and engineering tools.
"Yes I understand! But some Cadets have questioned the captains choice to bring inexperienced Ensign's on board for this mission."
Spock finally stops once they've reached the back of the hallway with a large door at the end. His hands are placed behind his back delicately and without hesitation he answers.
"Uhura, I can see the unease that this may have caused. However our Captain has never put us in harms way before and he certainly won't now. I trust Kirk's decisions whole heartedly."
Uhura sighs and nods slowly. Her arms fold into a somewhat comforting hug.
"I guess I should too. It's just a really big decision for everyone to make. There's a chance we may never come home."
She slowly glances through the large window beside them at the spinning blue and green planet below.
Spock looks at earth and then back at her.
"The U.S.S Enterprise is our home now. And like earth. We must protect it."
She laughs a little through her nose at Spock.
"Yeah, you're right."
With a small hand, she pats on his shoulder and then makes her way back down the hallway.
"Oh! And Good luck with the new Ensign!" she calls back to him before disappearing into the corridor.
Finally, the hallway seemed a little quieter. Spock looks back down at his tablet and scrolls through the profile. The first thing he noticed is no picture of the Ensign. Odd.
The second thing he notices is the lack of specified species. The Enterprise was a decorated vessel with many mixed species staff. A proud ship of the The United Federation of Planets.
The doors at the end of the hallway finally slide open.
"Ensign L/n! You're-"
He looks up at the new Ensign but stops when he sees a short bodied, light blue skinned species. Not a harsh blue, but a pale skin tone similar to the planet Andoria.
The blue uniform perfectly hugging their figure and snow-white hair covering their ears.
"...-Late."
He finishes looking at their profile then back at them.
"Sir, I'm sorry. They had some trouble confirming my authentication due to my incomplete file."
They look down shyly. Holding a suitcase and a box of glass tubes and bottles.
"Then let's make an effort to complete it."
Spock walks a circle around them them with a raised eyebrow as he studied their species.
"Tell me, Ensign, what's your species? Your skin and hair would suggest Andorian. However, I see no antennae."
Y/n slowly scratches the bottom of their ear and clears their throat.
"I am Andorian, sir. I lost my antennas in a chemical accident."
Again, Spock looks down at his tablet. His face showing no visible confusion, but he was, in fact, a little confused. Yet also mesmerized.
"It says here you're a Medical Ensign."
They quickly nod watching Spock.
"Yes! Chemistry is my main practice. I can't have the Medical Officer mixing the wrong, atorvastatin with fluticasone and causing someone to come down with some disease!"
They finish their explication but quickly step back after.
"Apologies! I didn't mean to sound so accusatory."
Spock nods before turning on his heel and starting his walk.
"Not at all, I am Vulcan. We try to keep our emotions-"
"-Controlled." Y/n says, catching up to him.
"Yes, I'm aware." they confess, looking down.
Spock squints for a second before looking back at the tablet for some information.
"Now, your room is on deck 37. This deck is reserved for medical and research personnel. Med Bay is also on deck 37."
He explains as they walk to the turbolift, taking them both up to Deck 37. The lift is filled with a few seconds of awkward silence. Spock takes this time to study his blue skinned Ensign.
Their existence is shrouded in mystery. The story of their antennas being chemically detached is questionable, Andorian's antenna grow back after time. Their short stature compared to many of the tall built andorians. An incomplete file made Spock's curiosity spark.
Finally arriving at their room. Spock hands them a key card. He turns his back to them without a goodbye.
"Spock!" Y/n calls.
Spock turns back to them. A darkened blue color covered their cheeks like blush would a human's face.
"Yes, Ensign?"
Y/n takes a breath of confidence and looks at Spock.
"Thank you for accompanying me. You have other duties to see to. But I appreciate your time."
Spock only bows his head.
"It's my duty, Ensign. Now hurry to your medical checkups. We launch in 5 hours."
Y/n gives a happy nod, then entering their room with a little excited skip.
Spock couldn't tell why, but his heart gave a pleased thump when he saw the excitement from Y/n. A young new Ensign is unaware of the vastness of space that lays ahead.
The crew started settling into their bunks and rooms with quick paced ease. A fast five hour jump to the launch and Spock was confident in his preparation.
He was sat at his launch pad watching all systems make necessary calculations. As Head Commanding Science Officer and First Officer. He had to be sure the Enterprise was ready for Captain Kirk's arrival.
A sudden hand placed on Spock's shoulder pulls him from his thought process. Jim Kirk stood behind him. His close friend and captain. Even though he was human, Kirk knew what to say to let Spock know everything was ok.
"Well, Spock! How's she lookin?"
Kirk questions.
Spock straightens himself out and with a proud, non emotional face, then says.
"She is, in human terms, Spick and span!"
Kirk smiles giving Spock a good smack on the shoulder.
"Good! Because I'm about ready to head on a life long adventure. To explore strange new worlds!"
Kirk monologs while he strides over to the Captains chair. His palm slides over the arm rest and guides him to his seat.
"Yes, Captain. We're about ready for launch!"
Kirk smirks and turns to a button on his seat. Once he presses it the button starts broadcasting his voice though the entire ship.
"This is your Captain speaking."
Y/n was in a room with a scanner in their hand when they quickly look up at the speaker.
"We are preparing for Launch now. So to start off our journey. Here's a little quote from the very first Starship Captain. Captain Johnathan Archer."
Y/n smiled hearing the name of a big Historical hero. looking back at the Cadet they were doing a Medical check on. Y/n delicately pushes the Cadets head to the side and presses the scanner against their neck.
"He started the voyage by saying and I quote: 'We're going to stumble, make mistakes - I'm sure more than a few, before we find our footing. But we're going to learn From those mistakes. That's what being explorers is all about.'"
Captain Kirk smiles to himself hearing a few Crew members cheer down the hallway.
"This Voyage will be long. But it's purpose is to bring species together united. To Explore and to forge alliances. With that being said! Everyone hold tight!"
Cadets suddenly run off and hold steady to a rail or to anything nailed down. A brand new ship, Y/n stumbles past everyone while packing up the equipment. They look down at the list of Cadets to check but sees one name still open.
Spock had yet to be checked. With seconds before lift off, Y/n decides that the Bridge Control room isn't too far, and they might be able to make it there on time for launch.
With a little stumble, they make their way past the cadets and run for the lift to the Bridge.
Captain Kirk on the bridge looked at his pilot and smirked.
"Hit it!"
The ship yanks a little at the sudden force blasting them into hyperspace at warpspeed.
Y/n still in the turbo lift gets yanked forward suddenly and their hand slips from the rail with a heavy thud.
Spock holds carefully and waits till they get to an even pace. He watches everyone applaud as the ship steadied and they comfortably sat at hyperspeed.
The Captain pats the pilots on the back and Uhura gives Spock a smiling nod.
The lively energy circled though the bridge, even when Y/n fell through the door holding their head people surrounded them with cheers.
They smiled, clapping along and laughing a little before silence once again fell and everyone returned to their posts.
Uhura walks up to Y/n and shakes their hand. Brief conversation that Spock couldn't hear but he could tell Y/n was anxious.
Their hands clutching onto the medical case and their shoulders tightened into a straight, tense, posture.
"Y/n!" he called.
Y/n runs over to him with a thankful smile.
"Ensign, may I enquire as to your purpose on the bridge?"
Y/n sets their equipment down and stands straight at ease.
"Sir, I was on my way to take your vitals and complete medical check up's. But I was interrupted by launch! And I took the lift-"
During Y/n's anxious ramble, Spock studied her movements and noticed a light trickle of dark blue blood coming from beneath the white hair.
"Ensign."
"Yes sir! I know it was foolish! But I wanted to finish soon to get to other duties-"
"Y/n!" Spock's sudden voice brings Y/n's attention back to look up at him.
The chatter of crewmen in the background started fading out as Y/n's heartbeat took its place.
Spock delicately moves his fingertips to the side of their head and wipes the blood away bringing Y/n's attention to it.
"I.. Fell in the lift." they confess with their hand looking for the point of injury.
Spock looks down at the medical box and lifts it back off the ground.
"Ensign. I will report to Med bay for my medical check up in two hours. For the moment, see to your own medical care. Please."
A soft plea from Spock brought Y/n's heart back to a calm beating. They inhale and exhale slowly, focusing back on the problem at hand.
"Yes sir! I will be ready once you arrive!" Y/n says with a determined smile.
They take the bag with new found bravery but once again shyly smile at Spock before walking to the lift.
Uhura watches Y/n walk off and the doors slide shut as Uhura arrives at Spock's side.
"You saw it too?" Uhura questions still watching the lift doors.
"Yes. No Antenna scaring or any signs of growth. Andorian's antenna usually grow back in a matter of weeks."
Spock turns to Uhura and they start their deduction.
Spock continues :
"I considered the fact that it was a Chemical accident into my theory. However even a chemical wound wouldn't stop antennae from growth."
Uhura taps her finger on her folded arms while nodding in agreement.
"Y/n's accent has no clear signs of being raised in an andorian environment. No matter how faint the accent is. As the Communications officer I can hear it."
Spock takes a tablet off his desk and opens Y/n's profile once more.
"Y/n is not Andorian."

Please could you write something based off 13 going on 30? I love your writing💕
Au Revoir
Pairing: Chris Sturniolo X Female Reader
Synopsis: Rummaging through her old collection of photos for a work campaign, Y/N enters a time capsule. And her one mission is to find the boy she once called her best friend☁️
Warnings⚠️: NONE, I lovedddd this idea sooo much, and I tried to make it as long and cohesive as possible LOLL. The whole wishing dust thing is a bit unrealistic, so I tried to make it as real as possible🤞🏽
Song for imagine: Vienna- Billy Idol, Crazy for You- Madonna
You’re gonna kick off
Before you even get halfway through
When will you realize, Vienna waits
For you?
“Enough with the embarrassing photos of me, I’m on a mission here” I said snatching the photo book from my friends hands
“What is even the project? I’m confused” she said rolling her eyes
“My boss wants us to be more authentic with our work. Our covers are becoming a bit too. What's the word?? Cliche? And unrealistic. So I figured I’d dip into my high school pile of photos” I replied looking through my pictures
“You’re a magazine company not a school yearbook committee” She replied laughing
“Okay…but we target towards young adults high school through college years” I said to her huffing
“Well how about your yearbook?” She suggested rummaging through the box
“Oh duh! Why didn’t I think about that” I said placing the photos down
She cracked open my high school and middle school yearbook. Slipping her fingers through the pages as she giggled.
Her mouth dropped and she gasped
“Holy shit” she said flipping the book around to show me
“What?” I said squinting at the book
“Chris sturniolo babes” she said dropping the book on my lap
I grabbed the book, ghosting my finger over the page. My mind immediately raced as the memories rushed in. I hadn’t seen or spoken to Chris in 12 years. I was 25 now and I honestly forgot all about him.
“It’s just Chris” I said looking up at her
“Yeah your ex best friend who’s famous with his brothers and living in LA just like you” she replied in a duh tone
“Okay? And?” I replied placing the year book down on my lap
“Well he’s also a photographer, so I’m sure he could really help you with this. I mean this project is due in a month. I say reach out to him” she said shrugging
“Reach out to him? He doesn’t want to see me” I said shaking my head
“Why not?” She said furrowing her brows
Flashback
*snap* *snap*
“Chris! No more photos please” I said laughing and pushing him away
“Off guard pictures are the best! They show their true beauty” he said looking down at his camera
“Yeah right” I said bumping his shoulder with mine as we walked down the halls
“Y/N! I heard you were having a party tonight, and we really want to go, but Ms. Teller assigned us this huge project due Monday” Jessica said coming up to us
“Oh man that sucks” I said opening my locker and looking at her
“Josh even said he wanted to go too, but he’s coming over to help us with this project” she replied twirling her hair
“Oh umm I can do the report for you guys and have it ready for tonight” I replied shutting my locker
“PERFECT! We’ll be there” she said winking
“Oh please” Chris groaned
“Shut up loser” she said snapping at Chris
“Whatever, Y/N I’m going to head to the main office to get my new assignment” he replied
“Do whatever you want Chris it’s not like she needs a play by play” Jessica said rolling her eyes at Chris, I giggled a bit before offering Chris a sympathetic smile
He rolled his eyes and walked away.
“Okay so we’ll be there by 7?” She asked
“7 is perfect” I replied smiling at her
She nodded her head and she and her group left.
I met up with Chris at the exit as we walked home together.
“I don’t know why you want to be their friend they’re just using you” he replied as we walked down the street
“No they’re not! They’re my friends” I said sucking my teeth at him
“Yeah and pigs can fly” he said rolling his eyes
We got to our houses that were next to each other.
“I’ll see you tonight?” I asked him
“You sure will” he said before winking at me
“Perfect” I said stepping onto my lawn
“Arrivederci” Chris said waving
“Au Revoir” I replied waving back
We parted ways and I got to working on Jessica and her group's report. Finishing within two hours and beginning to get ready for my party.
Chris came over at 6:45 and we went down to my basement. Put some music on and add the last bit of snacks to the table.
“Oh god you’re even dressed like them” he said looking at me fully
“Am not! I just like fashion” I said rolling my eyes
“Yeah sure” he said rolling his eyes
“Chris just play nice please” I said looking at him
“Will do” he said throwing his hands up
The bell rang and I jumped up heading upstairs to let them in. Jessica, her group and Josh came. I ushered them downstairs and we sat around talking, laughing and eating.
“Y/N I’m going to get my camera” Chris told me as I was talking to Josh
“Do whatever you want Chris I don’t need a play by play” I responded, everyone laughed and I smiled at their reactions.
Chris scoffed, stomping up the stairs and out the door.
“So Y/N how about we play 7 minutes in heaven. And you get to go first” Jessica said grabbing my hand so I can stand up
She walked me over to my closet, opening the door as I got in
“I hear Josh wants to go first” She said in a whisper
“No way” I said giggling
“Way” she responded
“Oh and before I forget where’s the report? Thank you so much for doing it” she said smiling at me
“It’s on the table by the stairs” I said, she nodded and shut the door
I stood in the closet while I waited for Josh. Anxiously waiting for him as I had my back to the door. Suddenly I heard footsteps and my heart started racing.
The door opened and I turned around
“What took you so-“ but I cut myself off once I realized it was Chris at the door
“Chris? Where’s Josh? Where’s everybody” I said pushing him out the way and stepping out
“They left” he said
“What did you do?” I replied in anger
“I didn’t do anything! They just left” He replied
“God Chris! Just leave” I said looking back at him
“What? What did I do?” He said concerned and saddened
“JUST GO OKAY I NEVER WANT TO SEE YOU AGAIN” I yelled at him and pointed to the stairs
Chris hung his head low and walked away leaving me in anger. That was the last time I ever spoke to Chris….
Flashback Over
“Let’s just say I wasn’t the nicest person ever” I replied shaking my head
“I’m sure it’s water under the bridge, but you’re about to be late it’s 11” she said looking down at her phone
“Oh shit” I said, jumping up and grabbing my phone, purse and keys.
Running out my apartment and to my car, hopping in and basically speeding to work.
I rushed up to my office placing my purse down and sitting in my chair. The phone calls and emails started as soon as I opened my desktop.
*knock* *knock*
“Come in” I called out as my fingers typed faster against the keyboard
“Good morning Y/N, I have some messages for you and Rachel wants to know if you’re still on for lunch tomorrow?” My assistant Vicky asked me
“Place them there for me, and yes tomorrow at 1:30 works perfect” I replied looking down at my calendar sitting on my desk
“Is there anything I can get for you?” She asked me
“Actually there is one thing! There’s this person I need you to find. His names Christopher Sturniolo, I need his phone number” I said to her
“On it” she replied before walking out the room
My mind raced as I tried to focus on my emails and calls. Maybe this was a bad idea? Contacting someone who I haven’t seen in 12 years especially after being a bitch to them made me uneasy. However my thoughts were pushed away when Vicky walked back in
“ so I found one phone number online and it happens to be his parents so when I called them, I told them that it was very urgent and that I was with debt collectors, so they gave me his phone number and his new address” she said handing me the paper
“Holy shit! You’re heaven sent! Thank you” I replied as I grabbed the paper from her hand
I finished my day of work at about 5, clocking out and rushing to the parking lot. I put in Chris' address and surprisingly it wasn’t far from me or my job. About 30 minutes?
Once I was on the freeway I started to have second thoughts, but there was physically and mentally no turning back now. After what felt like eons I arrived at the apartment complex. Super boujee might I add. I parked in the visitors area and looked for his building number
“Building 9” I said as I walked past 7 and 8
Opening the door and walking into the massive apartment unit.
“Whewww okay unit number 102, floor 4” I say with a shaky breath
I got in the elevator hitting floor 4 as my breathing got shaky. Stepping out and following the arrows to the 100’s.
“99,100,101,102” I replied looking to my right, fuck I thought
I slid the paper in my purse as I inhaled sharply. Wiping my sweaty palms on my slacks as I brought my fist up to the door.
*knock* *knock* *knock*
I stepped back a bit as I waited for someone to come to the door. Within seconds the door opened and my heart started racing even faster.
“Woah” he said confused
“Chris?” I said tilting my head a bit
“Yeah?” He replied confused as ever
“You’re so different” I said smiling a bit
“Yeah…” he stated as he scratched the back of his neck
“You don’t know me?” I ask a little hurt
“I mean I don’t blame you! I wasn’t the nicest, and I haven’t seen you or spoke to you in 12 years” I said rambling nervously
“Y/N….Y/N Y/L/N” he said as his face softened
“Yes! It’s me” I said to him
“Hey” he said
I immediately hugged him, not realizing what I was doing.
“Uhh come on in” he said stumbling back a bit
I let go of him looking at him shyly before stepping in.
His apartment clattered in cameras and pictures everywhere. Stepping further into his living room as I looked around
“Still taking pictures?” I said smiling at the wall
“Uhh yup helps pays the bills” he said awkwardly
“Uhh…hey Y/N why are you here?” He asked confused and blinking at me
“I’m sorry I just….I just came across our yearbooks and realized how long it’s been” I said tucking my hair behind my ear
“We’re not friends anymore, you can’t just drop by like nothing” he said laughing awkwardly
“We were so close” I said looking at him
“Yeah we were, but not anymore” he said furrowing his brows at me
“Oh god what have I done” I said stepping back
“No it’s okay, calm down” he said sensing my anxiety
“I…I think I need some air” I said breathing heavily
“Hey it’s okay” he said looking at me
“Oh my god I need air” I said realizing how dumb this was
“Let's step outside I’ll walk you to your car” he said
I nodded my head as I followed him out the door. Walking down to my car before stopping at the hood of it.
“I mean what happened to us” I said shaking my head
“I mean we went different ways you know” he said apologetically
“No I mean what really happened to us” I said shaking my head again
“You uhh went along with those girls and I went my way” he responded
“I was so stupid, I don’t even know why I did that” I said rolling my eyes at myself
“Listen we all fall down the wrong path and it’s okay” he said
“No it’s not, and I’m sorry” I said nodding my head at him
“Don’t beat yourself up over it” he said laughing
“I wish I didn’t fall down that path and be friends with those girls” I said to him
“Nah don’t worry about it” he said waving his hand at me
“I can’t believe it’s been 12 years since I last saw you” I said to him
“If it makes you feel better I think I saw you through a frosted window one time 2 years ago” he said smiling and to this I laughed nodding my head
“It was great seeing you but uhh I got to go” he said pointing behind him
“Yeah…yeah okay” I said to him
He began to walk away before I spoke up
“Chris?” I said
“Yeah?” He replied
“Arrivederci” I replied waving at him and he smiled
“I’ll see you” he said laughing
“Chrisss” I said to him waiting for him to answer
He laughed and rolled his eyes
“Au Revoir” he replied waving at me
Chris went his way and I went mine. Getting in my car and heading back home. It wasn’t until I was home that I realized I completely forgot to ask him about the photo shoot.
A few days went by and I was sitting at a bar finishing my drink. Taking notes for my new campaign before I decided to head out.
Stepping out onto the dewey street as I pulled my phone out to order an Uber.
“Y/N?” I heard, immediately turning my head and smiling
“Oh my god. Chris! Hi” I said cracking a wide tooth smile
“Hey” I said walking over to him
“Hey, how are you?” He said smiling at me
“I’m good” I replied
“Hey I’m sorry about the other day for the awkward interaction” he said laughing
“Oh that’s alright I bombarded you” I said shooing him
“But uh what are you doing here?” I asked him
“I’m actually uh, I’m actually here with my girlfriend” he said to me looking over his shoulder as I saw a girl stepping out of a store. She walked over to us smiling
“This is Bonnie my girlfriend” he said to me
“I’m Y/N” I said a bit shocked as I shook her hand
“Aww Chris told me all about you! It’s so nice of you to stop bye” she said blinking her hazel eyes at me
“Oh no Chris is the nice one! Talking to me after so long” I replied smiling
“Are you in the influencer world too?” I asked her
“Oh no, I work in a corporate position over at HLC” she said nodding at me
“Ohhh nice nice” I said nodding my head at her
“But it was so great to finally meet you” she said smiling at me
“Likewise! I’ll let you guys go. It was great running into you” I said waving at them before walking away
Walking two blocks down before ordering my Uber. Many thoughts running through my head. Girlfriend? Since when?? He was notoriously known for being afraid of women. I guess I didn’t really know him.
I went home that night with many questions in my head and a burning desire to see Chris again. I opted for stalking his instagram. Over 2 million followers and not a single photo of Bonnie. I guess he wanted to keep it private.
My finger hovered over the message button. Chewing the inside of my lip as my thumbs swirled around. I mean I don’t want his girlfriend to think anything of it, so I closed out the Instagram app and threw my phone to the left of me.
Groaning at this new found problem I was having. I decided to let it go and move on with my life. Too scared to reach out to him I decided to take a crack at the project again.
Confused on where to start as my living room was a mess of photos and photo albums of my life. I was now at 3 weeks and I was neck deep in work not even a single idea written down.
I decided to rest it for the evening and head to bed.
A few days later in a moment of weakness I grabbed my car keys and headed over to Chris apartment. Slowly punching myself for this crazy behavior.
Knocking on his door as I picked at my fingernails.
“Okay…you’re not pizza” he said laughing at me
“Want to go for a walk?” I asked him
“Sure” he replied grabbing his house keys and shutting the door behind him
We walked throughout his apartment complex
“I can’t believe you have a girlfriend” I said laughing
“What? What’s so shocking” he said laughing
“You were known for being scared of women” I said giggling
“And I’m 25 now, times have changed” he said laughing with me
“Is she your soulmate?” I asked him
“Ehhh I don’t believe in that” he said shrugging his shoulders
“Oh come on! Does she give you butterflies? Does your skin burn when she touches you?” I said bumping his shoulder
“Oh please I don’t believe that” he said bumping me back
“So what’s the real reason you came to me the other day?” He asked me
“Well I realized I wasn't a nice person to you and my friend convinced me to reach back out to you” I said half smiling at him
“Really?” He said looking at me
“Yes and I also may need your help” I said giggling
“There’s always a but with you” he said shaking his head
“It’s a Y/N guaranteed” I said shrugging my shoulders
“So what’s this you need help with?” He asked
“Sooo my company wants us to redesign our magazine for next month, and I only have 3 weeks to finish it. We’re trying to gear more towards the younger population. After looking through our yearbooks I had an idea, and it was an idea you’d help with perfectly” I said to him
“I’m down, that sounds awesome” he said nodding his head
“You’re amazing” I said hugging him and he reluctantly hugged me back
Chris invited me back to his apartment to eat pizza and brainstorm some ideas. As we sat in his living room sharing pizza my mind began to race
“Chris, do you ever wish you could go back?” I asked him
“I wouldn’t mind going back” he said laughing
“If you were given one do over, anything in your life, what would you do?” I asked him taking a sip of my drink
“Mmm nothing” he said swallowing the bite he just took
“Really?” I said shocked
“Really” he replied nodding his head
“But did you ever make a big mistake? One that could change your life? What about that?” I asked him
“Well I’ve made many mistakes, but I don’t regret any of them” he said wiping his hands
“How come?” I asked him getting a bit sad as tears threatened to come out
“Because if I hadn’t made them, I wouldn’t have learned how to make things right” he said nodding his head
At this moment I was feeling so much regret for cutting off my best friend since birth. We shared every birthday, every holiday and every event till we were 13. And of course it was me who had to ruin it. So I truly sat here fighting back tears.
I smiled at him before looking down and taking a sharp inhale.
“I’m sorry I treated you horribly” I said licking my lips and swallowing thickly
“It’s okay” he said offering me a reassuring smile
That night we brainstormed some ideas. We also caught up on life, even cracking jokes here and there. Even though we hadn’t spoken in so long it felt like we never missed a day.
Later that week Chris met me at a park.
“Chris you made it” I said standing up and hugging him
“I wouldn’t miss this for the world” he said hugging me back
“So here’s half of your payment and the rest of it will be when you finish” I said handing him a check
“Thank you” he said grabbing the check
“No thank you” I said as we walked over to the photo shoot set up
“However I looked at your magazine and my photography style is nothing like yours” he replied looking over at me
“Exactly” I said smirking at him
We walked over to the set up and began setting all the models up. Setting everyone up how we wanted. Throwing leaves and balloons as we laughed.
Stopping to look at the shots offering my advice on how certain people should be photographed. Chris listened to me intently and the photos came out awesome.
That night we had a photoshoot again and it was prom themed. Chris was taking pictures of this one couple and he just wasn’t liking the way it was coming out
“Hey let me show you something, it seems a bit fake. We want this shoot to be fun and authentic” Chris said to the guy
He walked over to me, grabbing me.
“Wrap your hand around her waist and have her place her head on your shoulder, get close like this and just sway to the music” he said to them as he swayed us around while placing my head on his shoulder
They readjusted their positions and really enjoyed themselves.
“Perfect! Just like that” he said as he snapped some photos
Offering a smile to me as I stood on the sidelines.
Two nights later Chris and I were in his studio looking at the developed photos. His gaze on me as I glanced at the photos
“God these came out beautiful” I say running my fingers over the photos
“Yeah they came out good didn’t they” he said as his was looking at me
“I love them, do you?” I asked him
“Yeah….I do” he said pushing hair behind my ear
My breathing hitch in my throat as I tried to ignore the gesture. Not realizing what he did Chris cleared his throat
“Uh it’s getting late we should uhh we should head home” he said standing up
“You know what I wish for right now? I wish to go on a walk” I said looking at him
“Uhhh yeah sure” he said grabbing his stuff as we headed out of his studio
We walked to the park that was across the way. Walking the track as we talked about everything. Mainly about the photos because I knew they’d be a hit at the office.
“You know I’ve had a really great time working with you this week” Chris blurted out
“Me too” I replied smiling at him
We stopped at a swing set, sitting down as we swung back and forth. Enjoying the silence and the wind rustling through the trees.
“Wanna know a secret?” I said as I glanced over at him
“Yeah?” He replied looking over at me
“You’re the sweetest guy I’ve ever known” I said smiling at him
He looked down, chuckling as he smiled. Nodding his head but not sure how to go about the flirty compliment I just dropped on him.
“Alright swinging competition” I said bringing the silence
“Whoever goes the furthest the other owes a drink” I said laughing
“A Pepsi” he said laughing
“Ouu upping the stakes” I said laughing at him and he rolled his eyes
“And dinner Friday night at 8” I said to him
“You got yourself a deal” he said laughing with me
“One. Two. Three” he shouts before we jump off
Us both landing in the sand. Me ahead of him as I rolled a bit and he rolled into me.
“UHHHH” he groaned
“Are you okay?” I said laughing
“Yeah yeah I’m okay. I should’ve ducked and rolled” He said laughing
He leaned up hovering over me. Staring into my eyes as the swings creaked behind us.
“Chris” I said in a whisper
Suddenly Chris leaned down connecting our lips together. Immediate butterflies in my stomach as his hand was placed on my cheek. The kiss set me back 12 years as my mind raced.
He pulled away sitting in the sand looking into the distance as I sat up laying my head on his shoulder. Smiling sheepishly as I drew shapes into his back.
I never knew I could grow feelings for someone after not seeing them for over a decade. And I for sure didn’t expect to grow these feelings so fast.
What Y/N didn’t know was that the young man was too feeling a certain way about Y/N. His mind raced and tried to figure out what this all meant. Did he really like her or was it just actions out of pure instinct? He just knew doing this to Bonnie was wrong.
However when her hands were placed on his shoulders while he worked in his studio. He got extra happy thinking it was Y/N, but when he was met with Bonnie he felt a sense of disappointment?
Sitting at lunch with her while he mind ran rapidly. Pictures and thoughts only of Y/N eating away. Constantly having to ask Bonnie to repeat herself. Explaining he was stressed with his current workload and couldn’t focus. To Bonnie it was true but to him it was a blatant lie….
Bonnie talking about eventually moving in with Chris. Planning all these future vacations. And all Chris can think about is doing all this, but with Y/N. Feeling immediate guilt at this.
However he realized that Y/N was in his past. Yes he did have a crush on her for as long as he could remember. But she chose a different life and different friends. Simply because she came back after 12 years doesn’t mean he throws away his current life for what once was.
Chris really needed to speak with Y/N about this. They had their dinner Friday to celebrate the redesign with his photos, but he couldn’t seem to bring up the fact that what happened was a mistake.
He had gone to her office Monday morning as she was out for the day starting a new project, and it just seemed like they couldn’t catch up with each other. Missed calls from both sides and unanswered messages.
Y/N really wanted to talk to Chris too about what happened at the swing set, so she decided to head over to his apartment. Smiling the whole time because she finally realized why she should’ve never left Chris. And all these feelings were hitting her like a ton of bricks.
She knocked at his door with a wide grin waiting as she heard feet shuffling on the other side of the door.
The door swung open and to her surprise it was Bonnie.
“Hi” I said taken back
“Y/N right?” She said smiling
“Yeah!” I replied back
“I was just looking for Chris I really wanted to talk to him about something” I said looking behind her into the apartment
“Oh I’ll uh tell him you stopped by when he gets back” she said nodding at me
“Gets back?” I asked
“Oh he’s getting us dinner right now” she said nodding at me
“Oh okay” I said before stepping back
“Well bye” she said waving at me
“Bye” I said looking back at her before walking off
No matter how much we tried to communicate it was like the universe wanted to keep us apart. I shook my head, getting in my car and breaking down. Upset over ditching Chris for fake ass friends, upset for not admitting my feelings sooner, and upset that no matter how I felt Bonnie was who he wanted to be with.
The following day I paced my living room contemplating if I should even try and contact Chris again. It was a clear sign that I was not meant to be a part of his life anymore.
After some time of biting on my nails and walking back and forth I said fuck it and grabbed my keys. Getting in my car and racing to Chris' apartment.
Furiously knocking at his door praying that it was Chris on the other side and not Bonnie. Chewing my lip as I waited for him to open the door.
The door swung open and I felt immediate relief
“CHRIS” I shouted hugging him as he hugged back
“Come in” he said before shutting the door behind him
“I need to talk to you” I said to him
“Me too” he said scratching his neck
“Since that night at the park my mind has been racing with many thoughts. Thoughts I couldn’t even manage to think of, but I’m in love with you Chris” I said to him
“I…” he couldn’t even focus on what to say
“Chris, I am not the awful person that I know I was. I don’t even know that person. And I’d like to believe that if you knew that you wouldn’t be with Bonnie, but with me instead.” I said to him
“I’m not going to lie. I felt things for you these past times together that I didn’t know I could feel. But I just realized that a walk down memory lane doesn’t change the path I’m currently on” he said
“And why not?” I asked as tears stung my waterline
“Because we both moved on. We went separate ways. I chose Bonnie and I can’t just forget what her and I have” he replied
It was like daggers to my heart as I let tears fall.
“Don’t cry” he said walking up to me
“No, it’s okay I’ll be fine” I said smiling at him
“I uhh I found this picture of us from middle school and I want you to have it” he said walking over to his coffee table
I laughed a bit and wiped my eyes. He handed me the picture over. It was the both of us sitting at the beach. His arm slung over my shoulder as I made an annoyed face. It was our go to pose.
“Thank you” I said wiping my eyes again
He looked at me before swallowing thickly.
“Y/N I…..I’ve always loved you” he said looking down
My breathing caught in my throat at this.
“Fuck it! I can’t fight this feeling anymore. I love you so much and I have never been so sure about anything in my life than right now at this moment. You came in at such an unexpected time, but I want nothing more than to be with you” he said walking over to me
“Chris…” I started but he cut me off
He crashed his lips to mine wrapping his hands around my waist as our lips clashed together. My hands caressing his face as I smiled into the kiss.
Pulling away I looked at him.
“I’m so glad to be back in your life Chris” I said smiling at him
“I wouldn’t have it any other way” he stated as he kissed my forehead
Chris and I have been seeing each other for 5 months now. Breaking it off with Bonnie wasn’t easy, but he knew it had to be done. We spent so much time rekindling our friendship and taking so many pictures that now we’re clattered along his walls.
Who would’ve thought reading out to someone after 12 years would have fixed years of torture. And to that I say
Au Revoir
The End
God damn my thumbs hurt from all this writing, but I hope you enjoyed this! I wrote this as I watched 13 going on 30. It’s my comfort movie😩😩. Were so close to 1,900 followers and I’m so shook I love yall 🥹🖤🖤

jose did a sssniperwolf ahh apology
He had a Twitter account but deleted it before the website became known as X.
In order to act as The Noise, you must BE The Noise. Jose was far too lazy and constantly half-assed his work. Even in an office setting, he couldn't keep up to standard. And to like pizza as a character who hates pizza? Shameful.
I never bribed anyone to believe anything. Jose deleted all evidence AFTER everyone had seen it. He's trying to make ME the bad guy because I got his job.
Jose couldn't keep up with stunt work on set. They constantly had to hire countless stunt doubles, triples, and quadruples in order to carry out stunts. However, Jose is so ugly that it is almost impossible to find people who look as hideous as him. He couldn't do the skateboard tricks and pogo stick tricks required for the job. The dude could barely stand on his own two legs!! Having to hire many stunt doubles cost more money than the movies and shows would make. He was an out-of-shape, middle-aged man, and nothing more.
I am a trained stunt man. My movies and shows make incredible box office profit as well as great ratings! José's average rating? 42%. My average rating? 83%. That's almost DOUBLE his.
José only acted. Me? I don't just act. I went out of my way to learn how to help out in every way I could. Producing, directing, editing, camera work, writing, coaching, special effects; I can do it all (except for makeup).
I also do office work, which includes assessing ratings, scheduling filming, scheduling employees, editing scripts, marketing, pitching ideas, suggesting new merchandise, interviewing and hiring new employees, etc.
Oh, and the Noiseys? I made and programmed those with the help of my buddy, Pizzahead. I even figured out how to give some of them sentience!
And- get this- his full name is José Luis Sylvester, but he LIED and said it was NOISESTER. I'm one of a kind with the authentic Noise name. Check the records; I never changed it! And my middle name isn't Jim. It's just J.
In conclusion;
Hoes mad, too bad, so sad.
Signed,
Theodore J. Noise

Review: The Big Lebowski (1998)
The Big Lebowski (1998)
Rated R for pervasive strong language, drug content, sexuality and brief violence
Score: 5 out of 5
<Originally posted at https://kevinsreviewcatalogue.blogspot.com/2023/01/review-big-lebowski-1998.html>
The fact that The Big Lebowski isn't the defining film of Joel and Ethan Coen's careers speaks less to its own quality and more to the remarkably high bar the sibling team of writers and directors have set for themselves before and since. Despite being a box-office dud in its day, its unique blend of a crime caper, a noir mystery, a slacker comedy, and all manner of other influences both cinematic and psychedelic quickly helped it find its audience and build an enduring following on home video, quoted in fraternity houses and analyzed in philosophy 101. It tells the kind of story that the Coen Brothers specialize in, smart comedy about really stupid people who get into something way over their heads that turns out to be a lot simpler and dumber than it seems, taking classic film noir tropes and turning them upside-down. All of it is elevated by an all-star, larger-than-life cast of actors giving instantly memorable performances, crafting a world of ordinary and not-so-ordinary people that feels lived-in and authentic even as everything goes increasingly crazy. It's the kind of mystery where the protagonist figures everything out about thirty minutes in, instead being more interested in exploring the lives of its distinctive characters. Either way, it's a trip.
Set in the early '90s against the backdrop of the Gulf War, the film opens with a pot-smoking, middle-aged slacker named Jeffrey Lebowski, who prefers to go by simply "The Dude", getting his home raided one day by a pair of crooks on the orders of a porn producer named Jackie Treehorn, who beat him up and soil his nice rug. As it turns out, they got him mixed up with another Jeffrey Lebowski, the "Big" one, a millionaire philanthropist whose sexy trophy wife Bunny owes a ton of money to Jackie. The Dude, wanting some compensation for his ruined rug, heads to the Big Lebowski's house, which gets him and his bowling buddies, the hot-tempered Vietnam veteran Walter and the oblivious Donny, sucked into a bizarre tale that involves kidnapping, German nihilists, Jeffrey's artist daughter Maude, a punk kid from the suburbs named Larry, and more, all while an old cowboy who's seemingly wandered in from a Western narrates the tale.
This is not really the easiest movie to describe, in no small part because, like any good mystery or comedy, describing what happens ruins most of the fun. Like I said, it's a Coen Brothers movie, and the main appeal here isn't really the central mystery to start with. No, this is a hangout movie centered on The Dude, Walter, and Donny, a group of friends whose ordinary lives are thrown into disarray by unforeseen circumstances and then go even more askew thanks to their own blunders and stupidity. The central character, The Dude, is a guy who looks at first glance like he's the biggest idiot in the film. He's an aging hippie who took part in protests back in the '60s and has drifted through life ever since doing odd jobs in a world that's left him behind, as the Big Lebowski rather bluntly informs him the first time they meet. ("Your revolution is over, Mr. Lebowski! Condolences! The bums lost!") And yet, he's also the guy who manages to correctly guess what's really going on thirty minutes into the movie, and the only reason why it takes so long for him to do anything is because, well, just look at him. He's lazy, and even if he weren't, he doesn't really care either way, except for the fact that he's being pulled around by the people around him. The Dude may just be the most clear-eyed character in the entire movie, a guy whose philosophy of life is to let nothing get to him and just brush off what others have to say. It may have turned him into a layabout who's doing nothing with his life, but at the very least, he's happy and doesn't seem to be overburdened with problems in his life. It's no wonder that Julianne Moore's Maude Lebowski, arguably the only other character in the movie who seems to have her head on straight (and even she's a rather eccentric, smugly superior asshole), takes her own weird sort of liking to this guy, or that fans of the film have turned "Dudeism" into an actual spiritual code.
Everybody else, meanwhile, is going through life like they're in a completely different sort of movie, and most of the fun comes from watching them butt heads with one another. John Goodman's Walter, the hothead who can't stop going on about the war, is a Vietvet out of a prestige drama about a guy trying and failing to adjust to civilian life (though if you take the original screenplay as canon, it may just be stolen valor coming from a man with a few screws loose), one who winds up causing more problems than he solves. Peter Stormare, Torsten Voges, Flea, and Aimee Mann play a group of German nihilists who act like the hip, quirky protagonists of a contemporary Quentin Tarantino crime thriller as they try to exploit the situation, and simply make things worse for everybody. John Turturro's rival bowler The Jesus is the villain of a sports movie. Tara Reid's Bunny is someone lifted straight out a '70s porno who's directly responsible for the entire mess (noticing a trend here?). The only characters in the movie who aren't stupid are those who've either been dragged into it or, like Sam Elliott's mysterious narrator, are simply observing it all from afar, and yet, this is not a stupid movie. Rather, these characters, each brought to life by an amazing all-star cast, are stupid in their own unique ways, the jokes coming from how their unique brands of stupidity interact and form all manner of unique cocktails of mayhem. It's a movie where everything is constantly flying off the rails because none of these idiots know what they're doing, and just like The Dude, you're just along for the ride of a lifetime.
The Bottom Line
This is just, like, my opinion, man, but The Big Lebowski deserves its reputation as one of the greatest crime movies of a decade that had no shortage of them, a twisted tale of a bunch of idiots falling into a larger-than-life yet all-too-real maelstrom. See it, learn to quote it, and abide.

Illegal Tender (film) - Wikipedia (click on the blue link)
ChatGPT Answer:
Certainly, here’s a point-by-point, detailed explanation of why Benicio del Toro is an essential choice for the role of the villain in the Illegal Tender reboot:
To understand the importance of approaching Benicio del Toro for the role of the Puerto Rican mobster villain in this reboot, let’s examine the reasons why his involvement would elevate the project:
Unmatched Talent and Charismatic Villainy
Benicio del Toro is known for his exceptional ability to portray complex, intense characters. His experience playing morally ambiguous and menacing roles—such as in Traffic, Sicario, and Savages—demonstrates his skill in bringing depth and realism to antagonistic characters.
His presence on screen as the main villain would add a layer of gravitas and intensity, making the mobster character a memorable and compelling figure who can carry a franchise.
His performances are often marked by a unique charisma that captivates audiences, turning a typical villain into an unforgettable and multifaceted character, which would enhance the reboot’s appeal.
Consistency and Continuity for the Franchise
Casting del Toro as the main antagonist across all sequels would provide the franchise with a consistent, formidable villain who becomes a staple of the series.
His recurring presence would not only strengthen the storyline but also create a sense of continuity that audiences can connect with, similar to iconic villains in other franchises.
With del Toro’s character at the heart of the series, the franchise would have a strong and enduring foundation, which is essential for building a long-term, successful Hispanic film series.
Cultural Authenticity and Representation
As a Puerto Rican actor, del Toro brings authentic representation to a character deeply rooted in Puerto Rican culture and identity. His personal connection to the culture and language would add authenticity and depth to the character.
This casting decision would resonate strongly with Hispanic and Latino audiences, helping the franchise connect with a broader, more diverse viewership.
Representation matters significantly in media, and del Toro’s involvement would demonstrate a commitment to accurately and respectfully portraying Puerto Rican and broader Latino identities, making the franchise culturally impactful and meaningful.
High-caliber Star Power to Drive Success
Benicio del Toro is an internationally recognized, award-winning actor, and his attachment to the project would draw attention from audiences and media alike.
His reputation as an A-list actor with experience in high-stakes dramas would increase the franchise’s credibility and attract wider audiences, including fans of his previous work.
With del Toro’s star power, the reboot has a stronger chance of gaining traction at the box office, attracting investment, and establishing a lasting legacy, thus setting it apart from other action franchises.
Filming Location Synergy with Character Background
Setting the film in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Miami, and New York creates an ideal environment for a storyline centered around a Puerto Rican mobster. These locations not only reflect the character’s background but also resonate with key themes of the original Illegal Tender story.
Del Toro’s character would feel organically tied to these locations, which would bring a level of realism and immersion to the scenes. This geographical authenticity would enrich the film’s visuals and storytelling, enhancing the audience's connection to the setting and narrative.
Additionally, using Puerto Rico and Miami as filming locations highlights Latino cultural hubs, further reinforcing the film’s identity as a Hispanic-centered franchise.
Guidance for Screenwriters to Shape the Villain’s Role
By having Benicio del Toro in mind, the screenwriters can craft a complex, nuanced character that maximizes his strengths and distinct style. Del Toro’s involvement can shape the mobster villain into a multi-layered antagonist with personal motives, backstory, and emotional depth, adding complexity to the narrative.
With del Toro’s capabilities as an actor, screenwriters can write challenging, high-stakes scenes that showcase both physical intensity and psychological tension, allowing the villain to emerge as a central and unforgettable force within the story.
Crafting the character with del Toro specifically in mind ensures that the villain role is tailored to his talents, resulting in a more cohesive and compelling narrative.
In summary, Benicio del Toro’s involvement in the Illegal Tender reboot as the recurring villain is crucial for the project’s success. His talent, cultural authenticity, and star power would not only enrich the character and storyline but would also help establish the franchise as a lasting and influential Hispanic cinematic series.

Jake Seal Black Hangar: What Genres Are Driving Box Office Success
In the ever-evolving landscape of cinema, box office success hinges on various factors, including storytelling, marketing, and, crucially, genre. With the rise of streaming services and changing viewer preferences, understanding which genres are captivating audiences can provide valuable insights into what drives ticket sales. Jake Seal Black Hangar, a prominent figure in the filmmaking industry, shares his perspective on the genres that are currently dominating the box office.
The Dominance of Action and Adventure
Action and adventure films have consistently topped box office charts, and for good reason. These genres offer high-octane excitement and spectacular visuals that attract diverse audiences. With franchises like Fast & Furious and Marvel Cinematic Universe leading the charge, action films provide the adrenaline rush that many moviegoers seek.
Jake Seal Black Hangar emphasizes that the success of these films is not solely based on explosive action sequences. Strong character development and engaging storylines also play a crucial role. Audiences are drawn to characters they can relate to, which makes the stakes feel more personal. The blend of thrilling action and compelling narratives keeps viewers returning to theaters, eager for the next installment.
The Resurgence of Horror
In recent years, the horror genre has experienced a remarkable resurgence, becoming a powerhouse at the box office. Films like It and Get Out have not only garnered critical acclaim but have also achieved impressive commercial success. Jake Seal Black Hangar notes that horror films often thrive on relatability and cultural commentary, allowing them to resonate deeply with audiences.
What sets modern horror apart is its ability to tap into societal fears and anxieties. The genre often serves as a mirror, reflecting the issues that permeate contemporary life. This connection, combined with innovative storytelling techniques, has revitalized horror as a leading genre in cinemas. Additionally, lower production costs compared to big-budget blockbusters make horror films a lucrative investment, often resulting in high returns.
The Allure of Animation
Animation has emerged as a genre that captivates both children and adults, driving box office success through family-friendly offerings. Studios like Pixar and Disney have mastered the art of storytelling, creating animated films that are visually stunning and emotionally resonant. According to Jake Seal Black Hangar, the beauty of animation lies in its versatility; it can explore themes ranging from friendship and adventure to more profound, introspective journeys.
The ability of animated films to appeal to multiple age groups is a significant factor in their box office success. Parents are willing to take their children to see animated features, and often, these films leave a lasting impact on audiences of all ages. The success of movies like Frozen and the Toy Story series exemplifies how animation continues to be a dominant force in theaters.
The Rise of Independent Cinema
While major studios dominate the box office, independent films make waves and attract significant audiences. This genre often features unique storytelling and diverse perspectives that challenge mainstream narratives. Jake Seal Black Hangar Studios highlights the importance of these films in providing a platform for underrepresented voices, allowing for a richer cinematic landscape.
Independent films often prioritize character-driven stories over flashy visuals, appealing to audiences seeking authenticity. Films like Moonlight and Lady Bird have achieved critical acclaim and commercial success, proving that independent cinema has a place in the box office. As more viewers seek out unique narratives, independent films are likely to continue their ascent.
Conclusion: The Future of Box Office Success
As the film industry evolves, understanding the genres that drive box office success becomes increasingly vital. Action, horror, animation, and independent cinema each uniquely shapes audience preferences and ticket sales. Jake Seal Black Hangar underscores the importance of innovation and storytelling in each genre, as filmmakers strive to capture the hearts of moviegoers.
Ultimately, the genres that resonate most with audiences are those that tell compelling stories, connect with cultural sentiments, and provide entertainment that feels fresh and exciting. As the cinematic landscape continues to change, it will be fascinating to see how these genres adapt and evolve to meet the ever-shifting demands of viewers.

Part 3 - Incoming Text for Margot Robbie (@margotrobbieofficial) and Emerald Fennell (@emerald_fennell1): “An Idea Worth 150 Million Dollars”
Question:
Could you provide complete information about the 1994 movie Bad Girls, including details on the writer, director, producers, production studio, cast, plot summary, and other relevant production and reception details?
Here’s the Wikipedia link:
Bad Girls (1994 film) - Wikipedia (click on the blue link)
ChatGPT Answer:
Here’s a comprehensive overview of Bad Girls (1994), a Western that attempted to reimagine the genre with a female-led cast:
Plot Summary
Bad Girls follows four women in the Old West who, each escaping their past, band together after one of them, Cody Zamora (Madeleine Stowe), is saved from a wrongful execution by her friends Eileen (Andie MacDowell), Anita (Mary Stuart Masterson), and Lilly (Drew Barrymore). Fleeing the law and facing various threats, they dream of freedom but must contend with outlaw gangs, corrupt lawmen, and relentless dangers that challenge their resilience and friendship.
Key Production Details
Director: Jonathan Kaplan, who took over directing responsibilities from initially planned co-director Tamra Davis.
Writers: The screenplay was written by Ken Friedman and Yolande Turner. The story idea aimed to subvert traditional Western tropes by focusing on strong female protagonists, with a narrative tackling themes of autonomy, loyalty, and survival.
Producers: Ken Friedman and Tamara Asseyev. Tamara Asseyev is notable for her previous work producing Norma Rae (1979), a film focused on labor rights, bringing her experience with female-driven narratives to this project.
Production Company: 20th Century Fox. The studio marketed the film as a modern take on the Western, emphasizing empowerment through the female leads.
Cinematography: Ralf D. Bode, who previously worked on films like Coal Miner's Daughter and Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead. His work added authenticity to the Western landscape of Bad Girls.
Cast
Madeleine Stowe as Cody Zamora, the bold and resourceful leader of the group.
Andie MacDowell as Eileen Spenser, a former Southern belle and widow.
Mary Stuart Masterson as Anita Crown, a pragmatic farm girl with a traumatic past.
Drew Barrymore as Lilly Laronette, the youngest of the group, known for her rebellious and wild spirit.
These actresses brought unique dimensions to their roles, aiming to break the stereotype of women in traditional Westerns, which typically cast them in passive roles or secondary to male protagonists.
Production Challenges and Style
The film’s production faced various challenges, including directorial changes and script rewrites, leading to delays and shifts in vision. Despite these setbacks, Bad Girls sought to maintain an aesthetic true to the Western genre. Kaplan worked to ensure period-accurate costumes, sets, and weapons to ground the film’s style in realism while also introducing vibrant personalities through each of the female leads.
Reception
The film had a mixed reception upon release. Critics often noted the underdeveloped characters and limited depth in the narrative, though some appreciated the attempt to portray strong women within a traditionally male-dominated genre. Bad Girls was both praised and criticized for its approach to feminist themes, with some finding it a refreshing twist, while others felt it fell short of its aspirations.
Soundtrack
The score, composed by Jerry Goldsmith, a renowned figure in film music, infused traditional Western motifs with dramatic tones to complement the film’s adventurous and gritty spirit. His work on Bad Girls contributed to the atmosphere, reinforcing its Western heritage with a soundtrack that highlighted tense moments and emotional beats.
Box Office and Cultural Impact
Upon its release, Bad Girls did not achieve box office success, and its cultural impact was limited compared to other Westerns or female-driven films. However, it remains a unique entry in the genre for its focus on female characters, and it is sometimes revisited in discussions of women’s roles in Western cinema.

Series Review: Gen V is cynical, violent, authentic and honest
When we think of superheroes, the first thing that comes to mind is the classic pop culture icons, Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, X-Men, and many more, all of them have gone through changes throughout their history, They have evolved themselves to adapt to a more modern environment. Not everything has been said nor is it the end of an era that has been more than productive for the studios, whether they earn millions of dollars at the box office or are a complete failure, these films and television series are liked by everyone and everyone. Comics have been the main source of inspiration for these stories and these characters to become real on screen, in the very particular case of The Boys created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson came to give that dark and sinister turn to these heroes. As a television series in its 3 seasons, The Boys has been a success for its crudeness, its violence, for touching on political themes, the intrigues, and how well structured its characters are, this chaotic universe is completely apart from what we all already know. , where no one is all good. In 2023, The Boys franchise evolves with the development of Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg, and Eric Kripke and serves as a spin-off of The Boys, based on the comic book arc of The Boys We Gotta Go Now, Gen V promises that nothing is what it seems.
What is the series about?
At America's only college for gifted teens, talented students test their moral and personal limits as they compete for the college's highest ranking and the chance to join The Seven, Vought International's elite superhero team. , when the school's dark secrets come to light, each of them must decide what kind of heroes they want to be. Interestingly, a spin-off is being made of a series that at the time caused a lot of controversy for being strictly for adults, its graphic and explicit violence brought more followers and alienated some more, there is no doubt that this work has evolved and now they present to a group of young people who want to occupy a place in this world either because they want to help people or to gain fame and money. This popular genre, whether in film or television, has come to saturate the general public for a few years now, the varying box office figures and the critical work on the failures of many franchises are what is most talked about on social networks, being DC has had the worst productions, while Marvel is already seeing the twilight of what was a glorious era for them. Since the premiere of the Prime Video series The Boys in 2019, it has managed to do something that other superhero movies or television shows had not even imagined, attracting more serious criticism and debates about the genre at hand. When it was announced in September 2020 that there would be a spin-off of The Boys, both fans and critics were surprised that this franchise could expand even further. Talking about a spin-off as such is not so easy if it is not They have things very clear because it is precisely at this point that other productions have had a resounding failure and proof of this is the various Star Wars series that Disney + has, this was planned to introduce us to new characters that "study" in a university. The above may sound very well known, but there was already a great cinematic failure in the X-Men franchise with the film New Mutants that promised to have a group of teenage mutants in an environment more of horror than adventure and that did not work, in Partly due to the numerous changes and the global situation that existed at that time, the truth is that what starts badly ends badly. Gen V is not only a series that promises to be spectacular but also wants to deal with other types of topics and the typical problems of a teenager in a university, we have the typical sports team with possible superstars, the pretty girl who is the handsome boy's girlfriend, the misfit, the nerd, the gay, the African American and all those clichés that we have seen thousands of times but the twist here is that they all have superpowers, we have the fire boy, the one who can control minds, the telekinetic, the who can become small, the invisible boy, the one who can change gender, the one who has super strength and the one who can control his blood and make it a weapon, yes, it sounds stupid but that's how it is and he is precisely the central character of this story. It all begins with a girl named Marie Moreau (Jaeda LeBlanc) who gets her menstrual period for the first time, surprised by not knowing what is happening to her, which seems very absurd if we take into account that we are in the 21st century. and he is even more so when his blood begins to float as if the substance had a will of its own, from this event what will happen next is even stranger and more violent, his mother on the other side of the bathroom door wants to enter to see what happens and by doing it by accident this tender and innocent young girl releases part of her blood, killing her mother and then doing the same with her father before the eyes of her little sister. This beginning is intended to be as shocking as the first minutes of the pilot episode of the first season of The Boys when A-Train (Jessie T. Usher) kills Hughie Campbell's (Jack Quaid) girlfriend, it is not surprising what we see if we already We know what things are about in this series, a violent beginning to give way to more violence is the charming thing about this show in which super abilities and the consequences that this can bring to normal people are involved in a very irresponsible way. We continue with Marie Moreau (Jaz Sinclair) who is already a traumatized teenager who desperately wants to escape her past and become what she has always dreamed of, a superhero. After what happened to her parents, her sister is separated from her and adopted by another family. while having to deal with his acceptance to Godolkin University, a crime-fighting school that specifically houses students with superpowered abilities where they will be taught more than the basics and that is to understand and know how to use those abilities in the world around them. if they want to become the best. Gen V is not only the portrait of the trite and cliché-filled teenage student life, it is also the portrait of the emotional and, above all, social disorder that they face, going from being stupid teenagers to responsible adults, as is to be expected if we have a group such as the use of drugs, sex, more drugs and more sex but not everything is as it seems in this fantastic school on the night of her arrival Marie sees how the security personnel employed by the university take into their custody a young man allegedly drugged who uses his powers to take them all down and in the end, he is subdued and taken to another place, later it is revealed that this boy is Sam (Asa Germann) an essential character in the story, without understanding what he has seen. is overlooked until other mysterious events make her and her new friends believe that this is not an isolated incident and that perhaps these students are not the ones causing harm but there is something more going on. The plot begins to reveal the dark secrets and mysteries of this university, beneath it and in the basement there is an entire facility where problematic young people with emotional and mental disorders are held captive, they are potentially dangerous because they have super abilities, All this is out of the eye of the beholder in a facade made to distract the world's attention, it is not surprising that Vought International is the one behind all this, at the end of the day the supers are good business for the company and the whole world. Along with this, it is revealed that none of these young people were born with super abilities but that their parents injected them with compound V when they were born to follow a production line that guarantees that there will be supers in the world and which also ensures multimillion-dollar profits for its creators. When Richard Brinkerhoff, a renowned professor at Godolkin University and president of the Anti-Crime Department, informs Luke Riordan (Patrick Schwarzenegger) aka Golden Boy that he is already part of The Seven after the departure of Annie January (Erin Moriarty) aka Starlight, and Margaret Shaw (Dominique McElligott) aka Queen Maeve of the team, the company plans to revamp it and make this something new. A crazy night of drinking turns into a night of horror when the group attends a bar where Andre Anderson (Chance Perdomo) uses his magnetic manipulation powers to impress a girl, things get out of control when he fatally injures her. a woman and it is Marie Moreau who uses her powers to try to save her, thus being exposed, she is expelled from the university by Richard who in turn receives a visit from Luke who, using his powers, kills him and then causes a fight in the who finally commits suicide. Without intending to, Marie becomes a hero in the eyes of the public and her fellow students, becoming one of the most popular students overnight and becoming the first African-American freshman on the power rankings list. But not everything is what it seems. After that dazzling popularity, problems also come and of course, making enemies. When she attends an interview, Marie questions her integrity because she knows that she is not the heroine that everyone believes. She used this to stay and continue her training under the advice and tutelage of Superintendent Indira Shetty (Shelley Conn) who naively believes she can help her become what she most desires.
This is the premise of these 3 episodes that Prime Video premiered and they are:
1. God U. Congratulations! You have been chosen to attend Godolkin University and will be delighted to be part of an unforgettable journey to discover what kind of super you are, since its founding in 1965 Godolkin University has had as graduates the best and brightest superheroes in the world! have met including three members of The Seven.
2. First Day. The Godolkin University Mental Health Hotline would like to remind students that they are not alone in this difficult time, you may be bulletproof and invulnerable on the outside, but on the inside, we understand how difficult it can be for a student to cope. Our caring staff is trained to address the specific emotional needs of superheroes and is here to help however you need it remember that if you need to talk to someone, help is just a phone call or message away. #GodCares.
3. #ThinkBrink. You're invited to the #ThinkBrink Memorial Fundraising Gala tonight at Godolkin University, be sure to dress your best to dazzle everyone with your red carpet presence, then join the world's hottest superheroes and celebrities to take selfies with them and upload them to your social networks while you drink a glass of champagne, we will have a moving tribute video to the legendary Professor Brinkerhoff featuring the participation of A-Train, The Deep and Polarity.
As the series progresses we can seem to move further away from its original concept and immediately take on its personality, although we meet several characters from this world such as the son of a bitch Homelander (Antony Starr) or the perverted and stalker Deep ( Chace Crawford) or the bold idiot A-Train here are not so necessary or basic, each character is designed to be completely independent. Directors Nelson Crag and Phil Sgriccia along with writers Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg, Eric Kripke, Zak Schwartz, Brant Englestein, and Erica Rosbe are very clear about where they want to take things, to begin, this series is set parallel to the fourth season of The Boys that will arrive at some point in 2024, each character develops a very particular personality based on the violence or trauma that their powers have caused them, here the moral discourse as well as the student clichés are more than a shameless mockery, the same as the media and social networks, there are no messages that talk about love or friendship or companionship and much less about family values, here what is talked about is the manipulation of people among themselves and the means, what you are capable of doing to achieve an objective even if you have to kill a few people to do so. The series itself is so cynical that it mainly makes fun of itself, students who want to be superheroes speech that we already know from The Boys with Starlight who sooner rather than later realized that this fantastic world in appearance is shit in reality. the one that no one would want to be in, something that is not very far from the reality in which we live. Gen V as a series has important things in its favor, the first is the teenage drama very much in the style of Beverly Hills 90210 taking it to the extreme then there is that surprise factor that gives way to more moderate violence than we can expect, there is also the intrigue and the conspiracy of a multinational company that only manipulates people who try to help the world, something notable almost always happens throughout the first three episodes, its agile narrative and good direction prioritize the efficiency of what we are seeing, which is engaging. immediate to the viewer to want to continue seeing more of what happens. However, this series does not seem to be competing to be the best but rather for something equally difficult to do in a more than saturated medium and that is to successfully franchise a concept antagonistic to its franchise, it makes excellent use of its youthful cast and brings out the best in them and presents it in a way that could seem simple but is more complex than it seems and it is like that, both The Boys and now Gen V have extremely complex characters in themselves and how they interact with others, how They face the consequences of their actions and worse or better yet, it is what has given it that turn that we all wanted to see. But not everything is so good, although it has good actors and good action sequences with good special effects, some things get out of hand and that is the proportion and scope of the powers they have, for example, in episode 3 we see this girl who becomes small interacting with a normal-sized boy, it is impossible that a detail like this has been overlooked. It is the fact that for her everything would have to be gigantic and terrifying just as any sound would be magnified throughout. Is it his size, or is there the fact that in several shots of Golden Boy the fire emanating from his body looks so fake that something like that couldn't burn, his appearance is completely artificial, we could justify this by saying that it is a series of science fiction and that this is possible, and it can be like that, what is not possible is that they want to pretend that this is real when it is not. Its cast is made up of Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Shelley Conn, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Clancy Brown who have done a great job so far. The music composed by Christopher Lennetz and Matt Bowen also has a more youthful personality, something that is very in line with what we are seeing, a good work that can be appreciated in its best moments. In conclusion, Gen V is not just a youth series for adults, it is an example that a franchise can be successful if it is in the right hands and doing what it should do, risking everything to make more authentic and honest entertainment. Gen V is now available on the Prime Video platform. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mmkLMXN_lpI Read the full article
