Step 1: Email Registration

The MaxiIM APP will automatically install and update.

Launch the MaxiIM home menu.

How to Virginize Mercedes CR3.23 ECU with Autel IM608/IM508?

I can’t virginize cr3.23 mercedes ecu. Can you help me do this with Autel IM608?

Please refer to the Mercedes W212 Delphi ECU CRD3.10 ECU to read and get the special key number from ECU with IM508.

Though the Bosch ECU type is different, the operation steps are the same by I508 and IM608 series (IM508S/IM608II).

Go to Control Unit>> Engine (ECU)

The wiring diagram of CRD2.xx and CRD.11 is a little different.

We follow the crd2.xx wiring diagram to connect Autel key programmer and Mercedes ECU

When we read engine ECU info, it prompts that “The testing device cannot communicate with ECU!”

So we choose CRD.11 wiring diagram to try

Be sure there's 12v to 13v, and don't forget 120ohm resistance between CANBUS

The cable marked is not required.

It can read the engine ECU data successfully.

Remember to save the engine data info as well.

Here we will try it on a mk7 golf 3426 MQB cluster with IM508S and XP400PRO.

In IM508S,

We enter VW Expert Selection menu.

Select

MQB instrument cluster>>RH850 locked (via dump)>>D70F3426

Select "Read Flash Data via Programmer".

Connect APB131 Adapter according to diagrams, no components to be removed like in Xhorse Key Tool Plus.

Read cluster data.

Desolder and read EEPROM via "Read EEPROM(95128) data via programmer".

Select "Calculate IMMO Data".

Load EEPROM and cluster data.

Decode IMMO data.

Then we just continue "Make Dealer Key" and "Key learning" in vehicle to finish programming.

Done! That's how to use APB131 Adapter.

Autel IM508S Update Guide by SD Card

Want to update your Autel MaxiIM IM508S effortlessly? Follow this simple guide using an SD card!

Step 1: Prepare the Upgrade SD Card

We’ll create an upgrade SD card and insert it into your device to start the update process.

1.Download the necessary files (IM508S flash file and instruction):

2.Create the Upgrade SD Card Using SDDiskTool:

2.1 Insert the SD card into your computer’s SD card slot, or use a card reader connected to a USB port on your computer.

2.2 Unzip the SDDiskTool_v1.7-English.zip file to your computer. (Ensure your computer runs a Windows operating system.)

2.3 Open the SD_Firmware_Tool.exe file located in the SDDiskTool_v1.7 folder.

2.4 Follow the steps shown in the image below to create the upgrade card:

Follow the “First,” “Second,” and “Third” steps in the picture.

After the third step, click the “Create” button.

Note: If you want to retain the device’s downloaded vehicle software, create a text file named “keepcar” and place it in the root directory of the SD card.

2.5 Once the creation process is complete, your upgrade SD card is ready.

Step 2: Start the Upgrade

Insert the upgrade SD card into the SD card slot of your IM508S device.

Reboot the device. The upgrade will start automatically.

After the upgrade is successful, remove the SD card. The device will reboot automatically.
