Well-preserved textile remains were found in archaeological excavations in Ristimäki in Ravattula in Kaarina, Southwestern Finland.
The red stockings and a blue cape on a woman's tomb tell the tradition of the Iron Age and the winds of a new medieval European fashion in distant Finland.
This Lady was buried in between  the 1100 and 1200, to a small village church's cemetery.
She was dressed in a fine dress made of sheep's wool.
The blue apron and the blue cape were an old Iron Age tradition, but the red socks and the red color as such were new and medieval!
Based on these archaeological textile finds, the scientist and the artisans are designing an ancient costume that can be made by anyone and whose jewelrys does not cost € 10,000!
Unfortunately, haven't men's costumes from the Iron Age been found.
