You know, I wonder if Sokka would be petty enough to invite Aunt Wu to their wedding after she gave him so much shit for liking Zuko in Burning Bright

...Anon I feel like you've just given me a wonderful, delightful idea for either a proposal fic or a wedding planning fic lol

I feel like he's out living his life however many years past Aunt Wu, hasn't thought of her in a decade...and then he runs into her in like Iroh's teashop and the competition reignites. He needs nothing more in life than for her to admit that she's wrong. She is convinced she's right (Sokka hasn't put the in-world-equivalent-of-a-ring on it, has he).

Zuko is highly entertained. "No, no, there might be something to her," he keeps saying, just because it sets Sokka off into an incoherent science-riddled screed that he can just rest his chin on his first and admire.

(Aunt Wu is entirely aware of this dynamic. Thus her confidence in her own accuracy.)
