In this article, we’ll explore the benefits of baby walkers, how to choose the right one, and why NV Kids Online Store is your best choice for purchasing them.
The Importance of Baby Walkers
Encouraging Mobility and Development
Baby walkers are designed to help infants develop the skills they need to walk independently. They provide support and stability while encouraging babies to take their first steps. Here’s how baby walkers contribute to your child’s development:
Strengthening Leg Muscles: Walkers help strengthen the muscles in your baby’s legs and core, which are essential for walking.
Improving Coordination: Using a walker helps improve coordination between the upper and lower body, preparing babies for more complex movements.
Boosting Confidence: As babies become more comfortable using a walker, their confidence grows, encouraging them to explore and interact with their environment.
Safety Considerations
Safety is a primary concern when using baby walkers. It's crucial to choose a walker that meets high safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries. Key safety features to consider include:
Stable Base: A walker with a wide base reduces the risk of tipping over and provides better stability.
Brake Mechanism: Some walkers come equipped with a brake system to prevent uncontrolled movement.
Adjustable Height: An adjustable height feature ensures that the walker grows with your baby and provides better support.
Choosing the Right Baby Walker
Types of Baby Walkers
When selecting a baby walker, it’s important to understand the different types available:
Traditional Walkers: These are basic walkers with a seat and a frame. They often have a tray for toys or snacks. Traditional walkers are simple but may lack advanced features.
Activity Walkers: These walkers come with built-in toys, music, and other interactive elements to entertain and engage your baby. They are designed to stimulate sensory development and keep your baby entertained while walking.
Convertible Walkers: Convertible walkers can transition from a seated walker to a push walker or even a ride-on toy. These multifunctional designs provide extended use as your baby grows.
Foldable Walkers: Foldable walkers are convenient for travel and storage. They can be easily collapsed and packed away when not in use.
Key Features to Consider
When choosing a baby walker, consider the following features to ensure it meets your needs and preferences:
Safety Features: Look for walkers with a sturdy frame, non-slip wheels, and safety locks. Ensure the walker meets safety standards and regulations.
Adjustability: An adjustable height feature allows the walker to grow with your baby, providing better support and comfort.
Ease of Cleaning: Choose a walker with removable and washable fabric or easy-to-clean surfaces to maintain hygiene.
Portability: If you need a walker that can be easily transported or stored, consider foldable designs.

Craig Piggott: The Trailblazer of Modern Cow Farming in New Zealand
Agriculture, being a prominent sector in all the nations for the production of food holds the larger part of economic contribution. There are different types which include dairy farming, commercial farming, plantation farming, and many more. Dairy farming refers to the production of milk and other dairy products for a longer time. This process involves breeding, raring of cows, raising, etc for the extortion of dairy products.
Tumblr media
In New Zealand dairy farming is a famous and popular farming, this farming is mostly found in areas of Taranaki, Waikato, Southland, and Canterbury. It has a contribution to the export economy of the country of about $11.3 billion in the year 2023. The article is followed by the journey of the founder and CEO of Halter, which is an Agri-tech company in New Zealand that focuses on cow farming with the adoption of technology to enhance production and hence make dairy farming easier.
Craig Piggott: Founder & CEO
Craig Piggott being grown in the environment of a farm understands the challenges and issues that affect the farmers and hence has the motto to come up with a solid solution to tackle them. He completed his bachelor’s from The University of Auckland in the stream of mechanical engineering. After that, he worked as a product development engineer at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare after a year he was a mechanical engineer at Rocket Lab in the USA.
During this time, he visited his parents and he saw them spending 100+ hours a week in farming, so he decided to find the ultimate solution for all the problems in cow farming. He then thought of using smart technology for monitoring and managing the herds which would benefit the farmers. Thus, he developed a smart technology band for animals that will decrease farmers’ manual work and address many more things.
With this innovative blend of technology and farming, he developed a product and made it into business. Craig Piggott founded ‘Halter’ in 2016 with the vision of modernizing cow farming and how the company has world recognition. The startup raised a fund of around $5.5 million in 2018 from a VC firm, Silicon Valley-based, and also got investments from New Zealand and America.
Brief on Halter
Halter is a solar-powered neckband that is a collar that helps to motion and manage the moves of the herds. Everything can be handled at your fingertip by the mobile app throughout the day. One can see things like heat, location, health, and rumination of the animal. The Halter is prepared for types of farmers who are rearing cows for dairy products and for beef purposes.
The main features of Halter are easy maintenance of animals with collars it is more effective in the movement as it provides sound effects and guides of left or right. This will also suggest you shift and fence your farm for more grass areas thus helping in virtual fencing. The key elements of the collar are it is light in weight and is effective in transmitting the data of the cow to the nearest tower, this data is further sent to the mobile app. Now the farmers can easily monitor and perform dairy herd management remotely by shifting to a grassy area to optimize grazing and improve feeding.
Halter assists and consults farmers for any help and provides guidance in farming. With the use of collars in dairy farming, one can increase their revenue by $433/ha as it improves grazing utilization by 5.1%. It also helps in growing the grassland for feed improvement. For beef farmers, it solves the issue of rotational grazing as it is been expensive and restrictive. Through virtual fencing, you can obtain land with high productivity by converting underutilized farmland into grassland.
Honors
Craig Piggott has been recognized and honored with multiple awards for his creative and innovative products in the agriculture sector. He was awarded the New Zealand Innovation Award in 2017. In the years 2018 and 2019 was a finalist in the New Zealand Hi-tech Young Achiever Award, and also a finalist for EY Entrepreneur of the Year. He grabbed the award of New Zealand Hi-tech Young Achiever Award in 2020. Halter with its beneficial product is been successful and has expanded its business in Australia, USA, and New Zealand.

Understanding The Complex Factors Mens Engagement With Sex Workers
The world of sex work is a controversial and multifaceted topic that involves a diverse range of individuals and circumstances. While the reasons behind why men visit sex worker in Aucklandcan vary significantly, it's crucial to approach this discussion with sensitivity and a comprehensive understanding of the complex factors that contribute to such choices.
In this article, we will delve into some of the core reasons that men engage with sex workers, shedding light on the intricate interplay of social, psychological, and cultural influences.
Seeking Intimacy and Companionship
One of the key motivations for men to visit sex workers is the desire for intimacy and companionship. Some individuals may be facing loneliness, isolation, or a lack of emotional connection in their lives. For these men, engaging with a sex worker can offer a temporary sense of closeness and companionship that they may be missing in their day-to-day interactions. The illusion of a genuine connection, even if transactional, provides a form of emotional support that they seek.
Exploration of Fantasy and Fetish
Human sexuality is diverse and complex, with a wide range of fantasies and fetishes that individuals may wish to explore. For some men, visiting sex worker Auckland allows them to safely and consensually explore their fantasies in a controlled and non-judgmental environment. These experiences can help individuals better understand their desires and preferences, contributing to their overall sexual self-awareness.
Discretion and Anonymity
Privacy concerns are another factor that drives some men to seek the services of sex workers. Engaging with a sex worker can provide a level of discretion and anonymity that may not be achievable in traditional dating or relationships. Individuals who have personal or professional reasons for keeping their sexual activities private may turn to sex workers as a means to fulfil their desires without compromising their confidentiality.
Addressing Physical Needs
For some men, the decision to visit a sex worker is driven by purely physical needs and desires. In cases where they are not in a committed relationship or have limited access to sexual partners, sex workers offer a straightforward way to satisfy their physiological urges. This may be especially true for individuals who are temporarily or permanently unable to engage in traditional relationships due to factors such as mobility limitations or health conditions.
Avoiding Emotional Baggage
Traditional relationships can come with emotional complexities, including commitment, expectations, and potential heartbreak. Men who engage with sex workers might be seeking to avoid the emotional baggage that often accompanies romantic partnerships. For them, the transactional nature of the interaction offers a sense of detachment and freedom from emotional entanglements.
Coping Mechanism and Stress Relief
In today's fast-paced world, stress and pressure are prevalent. Some men turn to sex workers as a way to cope with stress and temporarily escape from their daily challenges. The act of engaging with a sex worker can serve as a form of stress relief and relaxation, allowing them to disconnect from their worries and responsibilities, even if only briefly.
Tumblr media
Socioeconomic and Cultural Factors
Socioeconomic and cultural factors also play a role in men's engagement with sex workers. Economic disparities, cultural norms, and societal expectations can influence the choices individuals make. In some cases, cultural attitudes toward sex and relationships, as well as societal views on masculinity, may contribute to men seeking the services of sex workers as a means to fulfil perceived obligations or desires.
Conclusion
The motivations behind why men visit sex worker Auckland are multifaceted and influenced by a combination of personal, social, psychological, and cultural factors. It's important to recognise that each individual's situation is unique, and judgments should be avoided when discussing this complex topic.
By understanding the underlying reasons that drive men to engage with sex workers, we can engage in more informed discussions and work towards creating a society that promotes open dialogue, sexual health, and overall well-being for all individuals involved

Choosing the Right Garage Doors in Auckland for Functionality and Style
Introduction:
When it comes to enhancing the curb appeal and functionality of your home in Auckland, one crucial element to consider is the choice of garage doors. Garage doors not only provide security and protection for your vehicles and belongings but also contribute significantly to the overall aesthetic appeal of your property. In this article, we will explore the key factors to consider when selecting garage doors Auckland that balance both functionality and style.
Material and Durability:
One of the primary considerations when choosing garage doors is the material they are made of. Common options include steel, aluminum, wood, and fiberglass. Steel garage doors are known for their durability and strength, making them ideal for withstanding harsh weather conditions. Aluminum doors are lightweight and resistant to corrosion, while wood doors provide a classic and elegant look. Fiberglass doors offer low maintenance and are resistant to dents and cracks. Consider the climate in Auckland and the level of maintenance you are willing to undertake before selecting the material.
Style and Design:
Garage doors play a significant role in the overall aesthetic appeal of your home. The style and design of the doors should complement the architectural style of your property. Whether you prefer traditional, contemporary, or carriage house styles, there is a wide range of options available in Auckland. Additionally, consider the color options and finishes that will harmonize with the exterior of your home, enhancing its curb appeal.
Insulation and Energy Efficiency:
In Auckland's variable climate, insulation is an essential consideration for garage doors. Well-insulated doors help maintain a stable temperature inside the garage, reducing energy consumption and keeping your vehicles and belongings protected. Look for garage doors with high R-values, indicating better insulation properties. This will also contribute to noise reduction, providing a quieter environment.
Security Features:
Garage doors are an entry point to your home and must provide adequate security. Opt for doors equipped with robust locking mechanisms and sturdy construction to deter potential intruders. Consider features like rolling code technology for the automatic opener system to prevent code theft and ensure secure access.
Functionality and Convenience:
The convenience and ease of operation should not be overlooked when selecting garage doors. Choose a system that suits your lifestyle, whether it be a traditional manual door, a door with a remote control opener, or even a smart-enabled system that can be operated through a mobile app. Evaluate the noise level of the door during operation, especially if it is close to living spaces.
Professional Installation and Maintenance:
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your garage doors, professional installation is highly recommended. Engage the services of reputable garage door installation companies in Auckland to guarantee proper installation and reliable functionality. Additionally, regular maintenance, including lubrication and inspection, will extend the lifespan of the doors and prevent potential issues.

Week 6
Current App Design
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Task:
For this particular task, we gathered the participants to conduct user testing of the current Auckland Transport (AT) mobile app and took the average of the scores they each provided. Our aim was to assess their experience using the app and gather valuable feedback based on Jacob Nielsen's 10 general principles for interaction design. Through this user testing session, we seek to understand how well the AT mobile app aligns with these established principles and identify areas for improvement. By collecting ratings and insights from participants, we can gain valuable insights into the app's usability, effectiveness, and overall user satisfaction.
Insights:
Users generally appreciate the app's effective display of system status and its ability to align with their understanding of the real-world context. They value the various feedback mechanisms that keep them informed about their actions within the app, finding the language and concepts familiar and easy to comprehend. However, the overall scores for the app indicate that there is room for improvement in certain areas. Users rated the app lower in terms of flexibility and efficiency of use, error prevention and recovery, and the availability of help and documentation. These insights provide clarity on the specific areas of the AT mobile app that should be prioritised for enhancement, in order to provide a better experience for AT passengers.
Challenges:
The challenges faced when conducting the current app rating task were:
limited candidate pool it was quite challenging finding an adequate number of candidates who are experienced with the AT mobile app
bias and subjectivity participants may have had individual biases, perceptions, or personal preferences that influenced their feedback, and affected the average of the ratings
emotional bias negative or frustrating experience can be emotionally charged. Therefore, emotions based on one aspect of the AT mobile app may overshadow or reflect through other aspects
News Articles
Tumblr media
Task: The primary concern expressed by Auckland Transport (AT) passengers revolves around the significant frustration caused by last-minute cancellations and delays in service. In some instances, passengers receive no prior notice until their bus fails to arrive as scheduled. To delve deeper into the root causes of these disruptions, I conducted extensive research by analysing news articles, monitoring AT's social media channels, and engaging with their customer service. This approach aimed to gain a comprehensive understanding of the underlying factors contributing to these service interruptions and seek explanations for the inconvenience faced by passengers.
Insights:
From what I have gathered, the main reasons for AT disruptions, cancellations and delays are:
operational issues mechanical failures, driver unavailability, or vehicle breakdowns
traffic congestion Auckland's busy road network and unpredictable traffic conditions can lead to delays in AT services. Congestion, accidents, roadworks, or other unexpected events can impact the timely arrival and departure of public transport vehicles
infrastructure maintenance scheduled maintenance and repairs on infrastructure, including tracks, signals, and stations, can require temporary service disruptions or altered routes
unforeseen circumstances extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, or civil emergencies
staffing issues staff shortages, rostering challenges, or unexpected absences can impact the availability and regularity of AT services
Week 3 - 5
(some backlog due to family emergency)
User Interviews
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Task:
The user interviews were conducted via questionnaires or face-to-face interactions, utilising Miro to record the participants’ responses. Considering the broad scope of Auckland Transport (AT), I initially had some uncertainty about the specific area to focus on. To address this, I carefully formulated and grouped my interview questions to gather valuable insights about passengers' experiences in three key areas of AT: the overall transport experience, the AT mobile app, and the AT Hop card system. This approach allowed me to gather comprehensive feedback and gain a deeper understanding of users' perspectives and pain points within each of these crucial aspects of the AT ecosystem.
Insights:
The following are the main insights gathered from conducting a user interview:
user needs and pain points last minute cancellations or delays that are not reflected in real-time on the mobile app
mobile app usability understanding where users encounter difficulties, confusion or frustrations helped pinpoint areas that require improvement to enhance the app’s usability
feature prioritisation enhancing or alleviating the stress from commuters when their service is cancelled or delayed without enough notice or alternatives presented
user behaviour and workflow gain insight on users’ behaviours, habits and workflows when using AT products and services
user expectations this task helped gain insight on users’ desired features, customisation options, and integration with other services and platforms (e.g. Google Maps)
emotional reactions and satisfactions helped gauge users’ emotional responses and overall satisfaction with AT products and services
Challenges:
The following are the challenges faced when conducting the user interview:
recruitment finding participants who are active users of AT products and services, and was willing to be interviewed was quite challenging due to limited time or conflicting schedules
recall bias some users had difficulty recalling their experience with AT transport services user expertise participants had varying levels of knowledge with the AT mobile app which had an effect on their ability to articulate their experiences effectively
bias and social desirability users may be influenced by their perception of what is socially desirable or inclination to provide positive or negative feedback to conform with social norms
interpretation of needs some users had trouble accurately articulating their needs or identify specific pain points
generisability the insights gained from the user interviews may not fully represent the entire user base, and findings may not capture the diversity of user needs and preferences
Week 2
App Rating & Reviews
Tumblr media
Task:
Collecting feedback from AT app users allowed for the identification of trends and common concerns that passengers experience. As well as, a partial analysis on the users’ satisfaction levels, identify areas of improvement, and understand their preferences and expectations. This task helped inform user-centred design decisions which was conducted later on in the project.
Insights:
Most common statements from AT App users:
appreciates the ability to see how full the buses are
have to use Google Maps for navigation for more accuracy
frustration from inaccuracy of service that is reflected on the app
frustration from last minute service cancellations
would prefer if they are able to pay with personal device other than a physical AT Hop Card
Challenges:
The challenges faced when conducting an app rating and review analysis were:
biased and subjectivity caused some user reviews and ratings to be skewed in one direction, which made it challenging to come up with actionable insights
lack of context and further information why a rating or review is positive or negative
limited feedback scope where a comprehensive feedback on some areas of the product or service was not provided
ambiguity and vague feedback some reviews lacked clarity in details or language used

At the end of 2020, there was a strong hope that high levels of vaccination would see humanity finally gain the upper hand over SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. In an ideal scenario, the virus would then be contained at very low levels without further societal disruption or significant numbers of deaths.
But since then, new “variants of concern” have emerged and spread worldwide, putting current pandemic control efforts, including vaccination, at risk of being derailed.
Put simply, the game has changed, and a successful global rollout of current vaccines by itself is no longer a guarantee of victory.
No one is truly safe from COVID-19 until everyone is safe. We are in a race against time to get global transmission rates low enough to prevent the emergence and spread of new variants. The danger is that variants will arise that can overcome the immunity conferred by vaccinations or prior infection.
What’s more, many countries lack the capacity to track emerging variants via genomic surveillance. This means the situation may be even more serious than it appears.
As members of the Lancet COVID-19 Commission Taskforce on Public Health, we call for urgent action in response to the new variants. These new variants mean we cannot rely on the vaccines alone to provide protection but must maintain strong public health measures to reduce the risk from these variants. At the same time, we need to accelerate the vaccine program in all countries in an equitable way.
Together, these strategies will deliver “maximum suppression” of the virus.
What are ‘Variants of Concern’?
Genetic mutations of viruses like SARS-CoV-2 emerge frequently, but some variants are labelled “variants of concern”, because they can reinfect people who have had a previous infection or vaccination, or are more transmissible or can lead to more severe disease.
There are currently at least three documented SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern:
B.1.351, first reported in South Africa in December 2020
B.1.1.7, first reported in the United Kingdom in December 2020
P.1, first identified in Japan among travellers from Brazil in January 2021.
Similar mutations are arising in different countries simultaneously, meaning not even border controls and high vaccination rates can necessarily protect countries from home-grown variants, including variants of concern, where there is substantial community transmission.
If there are high transmission levels, and hence extensive replication of SARS-CoV-2, anywhere in the world, more variants of concern will inevitably arise and the more infectious variants will dominate. With international mobility, these variants will spread.
South Africa’s experience suggests that past infection with SARS-CoV-2 offers only partial protection against the B.1.351 variant, and it is about 50% more transmissible than pre-existing variants. The B.1.351 variant has already been detected in at least 48 countries as of March 2021.
The impact of the new variants on the effectiveness of vaccines is still not clear. Recent real-world evidence from the UK suggests both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines provide significant protection against severe disease and hospitalisationsfrom the B.1.1.7 variant.
On the other hand, the B.1.351 variant seems to reduce the efficacy of the AstraZeneca vaccine against mild to moderate illness. We do not yet have clear evidence on whether it also reduces effectiveness against severe disease.
For these reasons, reducing community transmission is vital. No single action is sufficient to prevent the virus’s spread; we must maintain strong public health measures in tandem with vaccination programs in every country.
Why We Need Maximum Suppression
Each time the virus replicates, there is an opportunity for a mutation to occur. And as we are already seeing around the world, some of the resulting variants risk eroding the effectiveness of vaccines.
That’s why we have called for a global strategy of “maximum suppression”.
Public health leaders should focus on efforts that maximally suppress viral infection rates, thus helping to prevent the emergence of mutations that can become new variants of concern.
Prompt vaccine rollouts alone will not be enough to achieve this; continued public health measures, such as face masks and physical distancing, will be vital too. Ventilation of indoor spaces is important, some of which is under people’s control, some of which will require adjustments to buildings.
Fair Access to Vaccines
Global equity in vaccine access is vital too. High-income countries should support multilateral mechanisms such as the COVAX facility, donate excess vaccines to low- and middle- income countries, and support increased vaccine production.
However, to prevent the emergence of viral variants of concern, it may be necessary to prioritise countries or regions with the highest disease prevalence and transmission levels, where the risk of such variants emerging is greatest.
Those with control over health-care resources, services and systems should ensure support is available for health professionals to manage increased hospitalisations over shorter periods during surges without reducing care for non-COVID-19 patients.
Health systems must be better prepared against future variants. Suppression efforts should be accompanied by:
genomic surveillance programs to identify and quickly characterise emerging variants in as many countries as possible around the world
rapid large-scale “second-generation” vaccine programs and increased production capacity that can support equity in vaccine distribution
studies of vaccine effectiveness on existing and new variants of concern
adapting public health measures (such as double masking) and re-committing to health system arrangements (such as ensuring personal protective equipment for health staff)
behavioural, environmental, social and systems interventions, such as enabling ventilation, distancing between people, and an effective find, test, trace, isolate and support system.
COVID-19 variants of concern have changed the game. We need to recognise and act on this if we as a global society are to avoid future waves of infections, yet more lockdowns and restrictions, and avoidable illness and death.

Interaction and Play
Week 1
Weekly Starter
Some notes I took from the readings and videos in the weekly starter:
Aesthetics of Play - Redefining Genres in Gaming - Extra Credits
This video was about the MDA framework, something I’ve become quite familiar with throughout uni. MDA stands for Mechanics, Dynamics, Aesthetics.
Mechanics - The Rules and systems (the math)
Dynamics - Experiential play from the rules
Aesthetics - The reason we play/the feel of the game
A designer will look at the framework from left to right, focusing on the mechanics to help define the dynamics and aesthetics, while a player will go from left to right, playing a game for the aesthetics rather than the mechanics (although good mechanics are important too).
The video defines 9 different aesthetics:
Sense Pleasure: Games which stimulate our senses
Fantasy: Things we can’t do in real life
Narrative: Drama
Challenge: Obstacles (Not difficulty)
Fellowship: Co-operative games
Competition: Superiority or dominance
Discovery: Uncovering/learning
Expression: To express oneself
Abnegation: as a past time/to disengage from real life
The Art of Game Design: Book of Lenses - Schell Games
This is a book which basically has a bunch of questions you can ask yourself/a group of game designers to help the design process along and make sure you’re achieving what you want with your game. There’s a handy little app which has all the lenses you can go through.
How to think like an Architect: The Design Process - Barry Berkus
I think what I’m taking away from this video is the amount of consideration a space needs in terms of everything and anything that will effect, or use that space. For an architect, he needs to consider where the sun will be at certain times of the day, the view of the water, how the wind will go through, and the noise that will be heard. He also considers how the people will navigate and interact with the space, and considers how the spaces themselves are located in consideration to each other.
Aotea Square
With the brief focusing on Aotea Square as the installation space, and access to the big screen located there, I had a read through some information online about the space.
Making Connections: A Vibrant Central Civic Space - Auckland Design Manual
According to this design manual, the space is roughly 1.3Ha, with the central area capable of holding up to 20,000 people. Aotea Square, named after Motu Aotea which is the Maori name for Great Barrier Island, is located at the intersection of Queen Street and Greys Ave. It is also a Maori Heritage Site.
What’s important to Auckland Council is creating a “Sense of Place” within the area.
Observations
I had a little mosey through Aotea Square to find any points of interest for me.
Tumblr media
There’s about 4 entrances into Aotea Square; (From top left to right) one from Queen Street, one which extends out to Wellesley St West but also splits off and up to Mayoral Dr, two from Greys Ave, the first stretching out as a long alley way (below) directly to Queen St and the other from the opposite side which makes pedestrians walk through the central space.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The screen is currently located in front of the large grass area. I believe it is mobile, and has sensors that could be used. The large grass area has a few benches, all located under trees for shelter from the sun. From walking past this place many times in the past, I know a lot of people like to rest in the grass during Summer, although it’s looking rather empty now being Winter.
Tumblr media
This space next to the grass area/screen is definitely a space I’ve seen used by many skateboarders (trust me, I know the picture doesn’t have any skaters). A few people walk past these guys as well, which I’ve always felt a little unsafe, wondering if someone was going to crash into me.
The central space is a bit crowded currently, with the ice rink smack bang in the middle and also a “night” market occupying the rest of the space. The space is large though, which clearly has access to a lot of power to keep the food stalls and the giant ice rink running. There is a bit of seating spotted on the edges of the space, with a “stage like” space located at the front(?). This space I’ve seen used for protests and other large gatherings.
The current populous of the space consists of families (especially so due to it being school holidays), people around my age (probably looking to get food), and older people, who generally just walk through the space.
One note I considered was the large amount of food stores located in the general area. Aotea Square is a great place to sit down and eat food, so this could be something to work with potentially?
Other Readings
In terms of the readings that Ben has given us as an optional look through, I’ve actually read/listened/played most of it for Contexts of Game and Play, and my thoughts are all on these blogs here. I might have a look through to see if there is anything of interest that I missed but otherwise will probably just look through my old blogs to gather my thoughts.
Quick note from Chapter 3 of Salen and Zimmerman’s Rules of Play, Meaningful Play is described as the context and interaction the players have with the game, the decisions and actions they take, which affect the systems of the game, and the way the game communicates the results of their actions, both the instant and long term effect.
