"My manager" - Many Chelsea fans chuffed with Sarri because of one thing he's done this season
Maurizio Sarri arrived at Chelsea with a strong, and somewhat stubborn vision of how he would set up his XI throughout the season.
His use of N’Golo Kante as a box-to-box midfielder raised serious questions as the Blues hit a string of bad results in November, with his signing Jorginho seemingly struggling to adapt to the Premier League.
His persistence with Eden Hazard as a false nine was also met with negativity as was his decision not to play Callum Hudson-Odoi as a regular from earlier in the season.
Despite unwillingness to move too far away from his philosophy, the Italian coach has used the final months of the season to give far more game time to academy graduates Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Callum Hudon-Odoi, though the latter is now ruled out for the season with an injury.
Chelsea have boasted one of the best academies in the world for many years and fans are praising the ex-Napoli coach for making these graduates a key part of his side.
With the likes of Mason Mount, Reece James and Tammy Abraham to return in the summer, perhaps there’s hope that Sarri could be the one to make these youngsters an integral part of the club.
Fans took to Twitter to praise the Blues boss for putting his trust in these players as Chelsea secured a place in the top four…
Sarri has given 1908 minutes to Chelsea Academy players which is more than any other managers in Abrahamovic Era. (Without Counting John Terry's Minutes). pic.twitter.com/Fp1AO5JhCG

Sarri has divided fans because us lot likes that, we like to call for our managers head if something goes wrong. One season isn’t going to do anything, he needs time, even with the stubbornness he gave more time to academy players than any other.

Sarri has played our academy boys the most of all our managers.
SarriOut boys won’t want you to know that.

– No pre season. – Best player in limbo. – Minimal backing from the board. – Boo’d by Chelsea fans. – Top 4 secured with this squad. – 2 penalties away from a domestic trophy. – Academy boys playing. – European semi/final.

Sarri inherited a team in a mess, put it back together & has achieved a major goal while giving academy graduates good minutes – all amongst a background of fan negativity. Like Guardiola, Klopp & Pochettino, is sure to improve next season now he's familiarised himself with PL.

– Top 4✅ – Attacking football integrated✅ – League cup finalist✅ – More minutes to academy players✅ – Potential Europa title?

Next season has to be the season of Chelsea's academy products: Tomori, Callum Hudson-odoi, Recce James, Jay Da Silva and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. Sarri has done well with RLC and CHO. My manager 💙 pic.twitter.com/0ARsg954cB
