Alfredo Di Stefano: Soccer's Grandmaster

Alfredo Di Stéfano, arguably the most versatile footballer in history, defined the parameters of the sport owing to his remarkable skills and adaptability. The year was 1926 when Di Stefano was welcomed into the world in Argentina. He began his playing career with River Plate and later on made even more waves in the game while at Real Madrid. In 1953, when he joined the club, he transformed its fortunes into one of the biggest sporting brands across the globe. He was an astute striker with amazing scoring ability, tremendous creativity and qualities of a good leader and from 1956 to 1960, the European Cup winning team was under the leadership of Real Madrid.

In fact, he coined the comment that there was a reason why he was known as the 'Blonde Arrow' scoring over 300 goals for Madrid earning him a rightful position in history as one of the football legends. The span of his span was multi-ordinal in character and even many players have drawn their inspiration from his greatness.
