omg i saw that you used Stray Gods lyrics (from You And I [persephone my beloved]) for an OdyDio post about a month ago, have you played Stray Gods?? if so please, PLEASE talk about your thoughts on it because i think it's criminally underrated and i'd love to hear your take on the music and writing of the game :3

Hi hi! I do not play the game, buttttttttttt I do watch the game play and I do have many thoughts on the game.

This is just the characters.

Apollo: BUTTON THE DAMN SHIRT YOU LITTLE- hmmmmmmm woosah

No, seriously. His design is perfect for his character in the game. He looks like a divorced dad trying to go back to his glory days of youth. I think besides the shirt, the beard and hair really throw me off. Grow out that hair baby, cut off that beard, do it neoww. I really loved his character growth in the story, going from doing nothing to snapping ”himself out of himself” and looking outward. To someone else who needs his help and guidance. I was pleasantly surprised with him. He also gets screwed over by his own gift. Hmmmmmm

Persephone: Gay Women should start Cults. Fight me.

Design: She looks like a gay aunt that instead of getting loose and happy go lucky with the family, she seems like “oh no I’m drunk, I’m gonna ruin your lives and steal your money and ruin your reputation and steal your girlfriends from you just to break up with them,” and honestly, I would let her. 

I like her storyline (not a fan of Hades slander) in this game. She is tired and she doesn’t mess with the bs. She is a victim of abuse, and despite all the pain she goes through, she overcomes it. When her mother died because of Ares and the mortals, she said “hell nah” and killed him. You don’t mess with a good momma. She made a business, (many of them), she gets a girlfriend, and her life goes to crap. But she still overcomes it. Unlike Apollo in the beginning, she has to keep moving. She keeps working. Might have gotten to the point where it is unhealthy and she needs to stop for her sanity. Don’t tell her that, she will find your darkest secret and make a killing. (You might be the one she is killing.)

Aphrodite & Eros: Pretty People can be Sad

Design: Yesssssssss, she looks like she would be best friends with RAYE.

Eros: Put that chest AWAYYYYYYYYYno I really like his design.

Aphrodite and Eros definitely have each other’s backs in a way that made me cry. Aphrodite is so determined to give up, to let go. And as tired Eros is, he doesn’t want to lose her. She is his mother, his protector, and she is tired.  Have been tired for years. With Eros, I would trust him with my drink, my keys, car, and best friends.

Athena: BADASS IN THE ARENA

Ok so I don’t want to get into her actions, kill-y, kill. But more how the designers emphasized her holding onto the past. Life before industrialization. She is so “ooh these humans and their instant coffee makers and online banking,” as much as she is caught up physically, mentally she is still in old Olympus. In Athens, in her old, familiar ways. She still wears her traditional garb while the others wear dress-pants, sweaters, and heels. Her music is reminiscent of the Ancient world, while the others are modern music, modern life’s, modern everything. She is still connected to old Olympus. She can’t let go.
