I cannot believe I'm still having to fucking say this to y'all but adopted kids are just as legitimate members of the family as biological kids. Adopted siblings are just as legitimate siblings as blood related ones. Adopted family members are just as legitimate as blood related ones. This is not, and never will be, up for debate.
