So these soulmate headcanons.. WOW, they’re awesome! Please, pretty please make one for Reiji 🙏🙏
So sorry for the wait! I got really carried away with this one and it ended up being a lot longer than I thought it would be, so I’ve put it under the cut. I hope you like it ^^
General setup: Set in a universe where everyone has a soulmate and there are various different connections between soulmates. Vampires (and Founders) have been known to have human soulmates. Generally the connection between a vampire/founder and their soulmate will not kick in until their soulmate is born and will fade after their soulmate dies. It considered unusual for a vampire to meet, let alone be with, their human soulmate.
Reiji Sakamaki
Connection with soulmate: youcan influence your soulmate’s emotions when in physical contact with them.
- You weren’t born with any sort of obvious connection to your soulmate. Many people weren’t, but it didn’t stop you from feeling a slight sense of envy towards those with a name or pattern inked on their body that would lead them to their other half. No, you would have to rely on luck to find your soulmate, and you were left with little clue as to what form the connection might take when it showed itself.
- Years passed and all too quickly you found yourself preparing for your last year of school, your connection to your soulmate as elusive as it had always been.
- Just before the start of term, a letter arrived, with an offer to a transfer to Ryoutei Academy and a place to stay while you studied there. One of your relatives had some connection to the politician Tougo Sakamaki, and had apparently been able to pull some strings to be able to arrange the whole thing. Whether you wanted to transfer to the school or not, you were given little choice in the matter, and as all of your friends started back at your old school, you were being driven in a sleek black car to your new home, leaving all of them behind.
- Although the mansion had a dark, unsettling feeling the moment you laid eyes on it, nothing could have prepared you for what lay inside its walls. Vampires, cruel and vicious, some nightmare made flesh, and your apparent hosts. Although captors might have been a more accurate term, all connection to your loved ones had been severed and any attempts to run were met with swift retaliation.
- Reiji had hardly taken a vested interest in you when you first arrived at the house. Your manners and posture left a fair amount to be desired but at least you were slightly better than some of the louder women they’d been sent over the years. Mostly the triplets did with you as they pleased, and he suspected it would not be long before yet another bride would need to be dispatched by the church.
- A few weeks after you first arrived, Reiji was enjoying a rare moment of peace in his room. A pot of freshly brewed tea steaming on the table, it’s pleasant aroma filling the air as he flicked through his notes. The sound of hurried footsteps echoed down the hall and Reiji lifted his head in response.
Moments later, the door slammed open and you tumbled inside, the scent of your fear heavy in the air. Your eyes widened as soon as they found his and you started to stammer out an apology, something about how Ayato was chasing you and you hadn’t realized this room was occupied.
What an unsightly creature you were, your blouse half torn open and your hair in disarray. But he was far from one to refuse such an opportunity.
Reiji set his notes to the side, readjusting his glasses as he noted how rude, not to mention unwise, it was to intrude in such a manner. It seemed that you thought you might be able to leave his room with only a simple chiding. How terribly naive.
He played to your assumptions for a short while, issuing a verbal dress-down that left you slightly red in the face. When he made an act of generously offering you a cup of tea, you muttered a soft yes almost immediately, eyes on the floor.
It was a simple matter to slip one of his newer concoctions into your cup without your notice. A few minutes after accepting the drink, your hand went to the base of your throat and you started to wince.
“Is something the matter?” Reiji inquired, his own cup untouched.
“My throat, it feels like it’s on fire,” you said, your voice hoarse.
“How interesting, I’d hoped it would paralyse the vocal cords completely, but it seems I still have more work to do.”
Your expression morphed into one of horror and you quickly stood and backed towards the door, but it was too late. Only a flick of his power was required to lock the door without him ever actually touching it. In no time, Reiji had you against the wall, wrists pinned by his gloved hand. You struggled against him but it was to no avail, and then his teeth were at your neck.
The moment his lips touched your skin, a jolt of fear shot through him. Some kind of mortal terror, the likes of which he’d never experienced before. He drew back and the feeling vanished, leaving him breathless. What was this? Your scent was that of an ordinary human, you certainly shouldn’t have the power to affect him in such a manner.
Experimentally, Reiji ran a bare finger over the skin of your neck and the same sensation filled him. Flinching back as thought he’d been burned, he tightened his grip on your wrists to the point where you cried out.
“What exactly are you?” He hissed, scanning your eyes for any indication of deception.
“Human,” your voice shook, “I’m just a human.”
Reiji took a deep breath to see if there was anything he’d missed in your scent, but it was utterly mortal, laced with fear. Wait, fear. Those were your emotions he’d sensed, but how? Vampires were capable of many things but this wasn’t one of them. Unless…
An idea of the situation took shape in his mind, and there was only one way to test it. He lowered his mouth to your neck again, ignoring how you flinched away.
The fear hit him again, but this time he pushed back, summoning the sense of calm he felt when left to enjoy his tea in peace. Almost immediately your muscles relaxed, and even as his fangs pierced your skin, you made no move to struggle, nor did you protest.
The moment his skin left yours, you stiffened. The air once again rife with the smell of your fear.
“What… What did you do to me?” You spoke in a small voice.
A connection that flowed equally between a vampire and a human, Reiji had no doubt about exactly what it meant. That a mortal child held such a power over him… It was far from a pleasant thought and no matter what you were, it was not something he would allow you to wield against him.
“Have you truly not grasped the innate differences between us? This is just another one of the many abilities at my disposal, and another reason why you should learn your place in this household. Should I choose to, I could make it so that you begged me to drink from you to the point where your blood ran dry.” You shivered in his hold, and Reiji braced himself for the onslaught of emotion as he bit down over your clavicle.
You were far from what he had hoped for in a partner, but perhaps that could be rectified with a bit of time and training. The nature of your connection to each other certainly held some potential in that regard, although he would need to find a way to keep you from being able to subconsciously impose your emotions on him.
One thing was for sure though, the triplets had had the last of their fun with you. From now on, the only one who would be feeding from you was him.
- The nature of your days in the mansion changed after your encounter with Reiji. Gone were the many hours the triplets would spend bothering you. They still tried of course, but Reiji had an uncanny tendency to interrupt them before they could ever get very far. In fact, you seemed to be able to go very little time without Reiji making some sort of appearance. He’d somehow managed to get hold of your academic record and informed you that it was not fit for a member of the household, even though you suspected it was at least better than some of his brothers.
He seemed to have decided that it was his duty to ensure your grades were up to scratch and, everyday after school, you were to meet in his rooms for tutoring. Sometimes it would be topics you were familiar with, other times it would be extensions of the syllabus and then there were the lessons on deportment. You’d protested that the latter had little to do with your grades but Reiji had shot you a glance and made a scathing comment about how you were in desperate need of them regardless. Since then, you hadn’t voiced any further complaints.
You couldn’t wrap your head around Reiji at all. His punishments for failing to meet his expectations were harsh, as the marks from his riding crop all over your back proved. But he was capable of being pleasant, of offering a kind word or gesture whenever you began to wonder what the point in trying to please a man with such high standards even was.
And, more surprisingly, he had made no move to bite you since that first day. Not once. He’d also taken to wearing two gloves as opposed to the single one he’d worn in the time before he’d taken such an interest in you, as though he couldn’t bare to touch someone of such low worth.
- About a month or so after your tutoring sessions had begun, Reiji had offered you some of his precious tea and you’d known better than to refuse. It was something of a common occurrence. Sometimes the brew would leave a terrible numbness in your limbs, or cause you to feel so hot that you might burst into flames. But then there were instances where it was only tea and Reiji would chuckle as you stared at the contents of the cup in paranoia.
On this particular evening, when you felt perfectly fine after finishing almost half a teapot of Darjeeling, it seemed it would be one latter occasions. Except when you met Reiji’s eye, he was studying you in a way he often did when you were acting as a test subject for one of his potions.
“Is everything okay?” You asked, a slight sense of apprehension clear in your voice.
Reiji took a deep breath and picked at the hem of the white glove on his left hand. In the blink of an eye, he was standing over you, a bare hand gripping your chin and tilting your head to look at him.
“Do you truly feel nothing at all?” He asked, his expression scrutinous.
“N, no,” you replied weakly. “Am I supposed to?”
“Ah-” he withdrew his hand “-it would seem that particular potion is defective. You need not pay it any mind.” Reiji returned to his seat and took a long sip from his own cup of tea before turning his attention to you. “I’m sure you must be aware by now that a full moon will soon be upon us, and as a result, I find that my throat is not soothed by tea alone.” He set his teacup to the side with a soft clink and you swallowed nervously as he approached you once again.
His fangs pierced the skin of your neck, sending pain stinging through you. You braced yourself, expecting him to use that strange ability he had once before to influence your own feelings. But there was nothing aside from the throbbing that accompanied the process of having your blood sucked. And when he pulled back, you could have sworn you saw something akin to a sick sort of glee in his eyes.
- After you’d retired for the night, Reiji swirled the small bottle of clear liquid he’d spent weeks working on. It had worked to utter perfection. Naturally, it’d been prudent to test the potion on you first and when you’d shown no ill effects it had been time to assess it’s true effectiveness. When he’d touched you, Reiji had been able to feel a slight flicker of your emotions. Nothing comparable to that he’d experienced before, so it would seem that for one of you to truly feel the emotion, the other would have to be experiencing it strongly or send it through your connection by force.
He’d tried to send a feeling through that intangible bond between you, watching closely for any sign of reaction from you. There had been none however, and he’d known then that the potion was fit for his purposes. The effects were not designed to be permanent, but by taking a dose of it each day, it ensured he could touch you while his feelings remained entirely his own. You, on the other hand, would feel whatever he sent through your connection.
With a little experimenting he realized he could even cause you to be overcome by pain or pleasure with a simple touch. Your improvements in his lessons were drastic, your feelings apparently a much more powerful motivator than any physical incentive he could provide, and you quickly grew into a far more suitable partner for him than when you’d first arrived at the mansion. In fact, Reiji found that he had almost started to enjoy periods spent in your company, at least more so than he had with any other bride. You were not a poor conversationalist in the right setting, and had even offered more than a few insightful comments without his prompting.
Perhaps you were soulmates for a reason after all.
- In the weeks that followed, you knew something was not right. Emotions that didn’t quite feel like your own would plague you whenever spent time in the company of the second eldest Sakamaki. A flash of disgust when you caught sight of Shu sleeping in some inconvenient location, a sense of discontent whenever your grades were less than perfect and a newfound appreciation for crockery.
But in spite of it, you had come to look forward to the time you’d spend with Reiji, to the point where you were developing feelings for him. Unfortunately however, you were unable to tell whether they were genuine or another result of those awful vampiric abilities of his.
- One day, as you were walking through the school corridors to collect some documents your teacher had asked for, your foot caught on something and you went sprawling across the floor.
“Heh, nice underwear.” Snapping your head back, you caught sight of Shu, one eye cracked open as he looked at the point where your skirt had ridden up exposing… You quickly adjusted the fabric and made to get to your feet. His legs must have been what you’d tripped over in the first place and you felt some lingering sense that you should get away from the blonde vampire as quickly as possible.
A pale hand shot out and grabbed hold of your wrist. “Hold it, I’m thirsty.” You struggled but were ultimately powerless as he lifted your wrist to his mouth. Blue eyes met yours. “You were the one who fell on top of me and exposed yourself, lewd woman,” he said before biting down.
“Stop!” You used your free hand to shove against him in an effort to free yourself. In spite of how much worse it would make the wounds, the feeling of his fangs in you was unpleasant enough to risk it. “Let go of me!”
“Tch, noisy.” He twisted your wrist until it was at a painful angle and bit down again.
“Ah, it hurts. Stop it!” Even though you knew your protests were more likely to end in further injury than anything else, you couldn’t help it. The sensation of his hands on you felt wrong.
After taking a good long drink of your blood, Shu pulled back and sighed. “You’re unusually bothersome for prey that’s been with us this long.”
“If you have a real problem with it, then why don’t you just use your vampiric powers to manipulate my own feelings against me? Reiji seems to do it often enough.” The bitterness in your own voice surprised you.
Shu’s eyes narrowed in what might almost have been confusion. “What are you… He has taken an unusual interest in you.” Something seemed to click, and a cruel smile played at his lips. “You really are an idiot, didn’t you notice that the triplets never did any similar?”
“What… what are you saying?” Now that you thought about it, they hadn’t. But Reiji was older than them, it didn’t seem too unbelievable that he’d have a better handle on his abilities.
“I’m saying, whatever you’re talking about has nothing to do with him being a vampire.” Shu yawned and let go of you. “Enough, I’m sleepy. Go and find somewhere else to be.”
“Wait! What do you mean ‘nothing to do with him being a vampire’? What is it?” You asked in frustration.
“If you’re so dense you can’t figure it out then go and bother him. Although there must be a reason why he hasn’t told you yet.” Shu closed his eyes, a signal that your conversation was at an end.
You stood motionless in the corridor, mind reeling. Something that allowed him to influence you in such an intimate way but wasn’t just another one of his supernatural abilities. There was only one possibility that came to mind and the revelation made your heart stop.
A soulmate connection. With Reiji. And… he knew. He knew but he hadn’t told you, had instead just used it to manipulate you.
Tears welled in your eyes, a mixture of anger and betrayal filling you. It seemed you would need to have a conversation with the vampire that was long overdue.
- Reiji could scent Shu on you the moment you stepped into the limo on your way back to the mansion. The blonde himself didn’t make an appearance, apparently so lacking in energy that he couldn’t even move himself to the vehicle. Pathetic.
It was only the presence of his other brothers that kept Reiji from doing anything during the ride home. No, this matter would be dealt with in private. Shu had trifled with his prey before, but this time felt infinitely worse; a gross violation of what belonged to him. And that you had allowed it to happen…
For your part, you were unusually silent on the journey, your hand subconsciously straying to your wrist every so often, where Shu had bitten you no doubt.
The moment, you arrived at the mansion, Reiji ordered you to his room. You obliged but there was something in your expression he didn’t like, not one bit.
“So,” he said, after his door had closed behind you, “are you going to tell me where that mark on your wrist came from or will I have to force it out of you?” The riding crop in his desk was easily accessible, but it didn’t feel like it would be enough. Nothing did.
You were silent, looking at him with an expression he couldn’t quite read.
“Well?” Had contact with that good for nothing really corrupted you to the point where you would act with such disobedience.
“How long?” You said in a small voice.
“I beg your pardon.”
“How long?” You repeated.
“Perhaps if you would care to elaborate, I might be obliged to answer,” he replied, and were he not mired in anger, he might have felt a slight sense of apprehension at your words.
“How long have you known that we’re soulmates Reiji?” You met his eyes for the first time since you’d entered the room.
If Reiji’s heart beat as a mortals did then he was sure it would have stopped dead. You’d found out somehow. Shu! He was going to kill him.
“What did he say to you?” In a flash he had you against the wall, gripping your chin so you were forced to see the fury in his eyes.
“Barely anything, but enough to let me know whatever you’ve been doing to me isn’t a result of any vampire ability as you’d have me believe. Why were you so determined to keep it a secret? Because you enjoyed being able to hold it over me? Because I wasn’t what you wanted so you took to training me like some kind of pet?” You spat, anger overriding whatever self-preservation instincts told you defying him was a poor idea.
“That… That is not any of your concern.” He’d known it was unlikely he’d be able to keep the truth from you forever, but he certainly hadn’t intended for you to find out like this.
“No, it is, that’s the point Reiji! It is my concern! Soulmates are meant to be equals, partners. But instead you’ve done nothing but use our connection to manipulate me.” Raising your voice at him was certainly not a wise idea, but you either didn’t think about it or didn’t care.
“Silence!” His grip on you was bruising. “You truly think we are equals? How terribly childlike, but then what should I expect, compared to me, dear,” the word came out as a sneer, “you might as well be a child. Do not think just because such a connection exists between us that it grants you any sort of rights over me, is that understood?”
A loud slap rang throughout the room. Reiji stood with his head to the side, glasses knocked slightly askew and a faint sting on his cheek where your hand had impacted it. He released your chin in shock and you fled from the room immediately. Ordinarily he would have made a move to stop you, but instead he stood, frozen in place.
It was not the physical contact that had affected him so, no, you possessed so little strength compared to him that the very idea of it was laughable. Instead, it was the flood of emotions that had passed from you to him in the short moment your hand had made contact, strong enough to override the tonic coursing through his system.
Anger was at the forefront, followed by sorrow and number of other fleeting emotions, but the one that lingered, and left him standing while you ran, was betrayal, deep and sickening. The dregs of fondness he’d sensed explained perhaps why it was so strong. After all, the deepest wounds could only be inflicted by someone you cared for, trusted.
Reiji glanced towards the door. He could easily catch you, take you down to the dungeons and thrash you until you screamed yourself hoarse for your outburst. As much as he felt like he should, he was intelligent enough to know it would ultimately do little good. And, if he was even the slightest bit truthful to himself, he knew it would utterly destroy whatever had been built between the two of you.
A brief flick of his wrist and the door closed. He had some thinking to do.
- You weren’t sure what on Earth had possessed you to yell at Reiji, let alone strike him across the face. After sitting in the silence of your room, your anger had faded, replaced with misery… and fear. It had been foolish to allow your emotions to get the better of you in a house full of vampires who could kill you with half a thought, and especially with Reiji of all people.
The longer you spent in your room, the more afraid you became. Your actions certainly wouldn’t go without recompense. Regardless of what Reiji had done and how you felt about it, you’d come to learn that your opinions meant very little in this household.
A sharp knock resounded on your bedroom door and you felt the hair rise on the back of your neck in response. Was this it? Had Reiji finally come to finish you off for slapping him and being unfortunate enough to run into Shu? Or had your soulmate announced that he was done with you and now one of his brothers was outside your door waiting to drain you dry? Then again, if whoever was standing on the other side was really intent on your demise, it was unlikely they’d bother to knock first.
“Come in,” you called out softly, glancing at the lamp on your bedside table, you supposed that you could at least try to use it as a weapon if it came down to it. Although even then, you doubted you’d last more than a minute.
The door opened and Reiji stepped inside, carrying a tray laden with a teapot and two of his beloved ornate teacups.
Fear shot through you at the sight of him, recalling the last words you’d spoken to him and the large collection of toxins he kept on his shelf gave you an idea of where this might lead; death by poisoned tea.
Sharp eyes shot to you as Reiji set the tray on the small table in your room. “After all the time I’ve spent on you, you could at least try to maintain some semblance of composure. Although I suppose a healthy dose of fear is warranted given your actions towards me earlier.” A hint of a wicked smile played at his lips and an unpleasant shiver ran down your spine.
“Reiji I…” Your voice cracked and you felt vaguely like you might be about to burst into tears.
He held up a hand as indication to cease whatever miserable plea it was you were about to make.
“I will discuss your punishment for your behavior later, for now-“ he gestured to one of the chairs at your table “-take a seat. And do try to put the lessons on posture I gave you to good use.”
You obediently made your way to the chair and sat down, being sure to keep your spine straight. While your anger at the way he’d manipulated you hadn’t simply vanished, your fear was enough to keep it at bay. Whatever self-destructive impulses had driven you to act earlier, now a dying whisper.
Reiji sat in the chair opposite you and poured dark steaming tea into the cup closest to you. As the liquid trickled into the white china, you thought of all the horrors that it could contain. You’d been exposed to his concoctions before with varying effects, however nothing had done lasting damage. But then you’d never pushed him like this.
“I’m really truly sorry,” you began, whether from genuine regret or fear you weren’t sure. ”I shouldn’t have yelled or slapped you but I wasn’t thinking, I just felt so frustrated and-”
“As much as I feel you should show some remorse over your actions, you need not get yourself into such an unsightly state. It is just tea. I am perfectly capable of ending your life with my own hands, and I would not waste any of my deadlier arsenal on a fragile mortal such as yourself.” His words were as clipped and cutting as always. You took hold of the teacup, the liquid rippling as your hands trembled.
“Well, as I’ve gone to the trouble of preparing it for you, you had best taste it, had you not?” A thinly veiled order.
You sniffed miserably into the teacup before taking a sip. All things considered, it truly was delicious. Some rich blend with just the right hint of bitterness. When you glanced up, Reiji was observing you expectantly and you swallowed shakily.
“It’s lovely, thank you.” You tried to offer a polite smile but you were fairly certain it was more of a grimace.
“Hm, well at least you haven’t forgotten basic manners.” Reiji pushed his glasses back up his nose with a single finger but said no more. You wanted to know what this was all about but you really didn’t want to ask him and so instead simply slipped away at your tea. The silence was thick, heavy and uncomfortable, the vampire across from you seeming content to watch you. Or perhaps he was just waiting to strike.
Once you’d emptied your cup, you set it down delicately on the tray, not wanting to add breaking his chinaware to the list of slights you’d committed. Reiji lifted the teapot to pour you another cup, before clearing his throat.
“With regard to the nature of our… connection to each other, perhaps it was remiss of me not to inform you of it sooner.” For once, he didn’t quite meet your eyes, instead focusing on the action of refilling the teacup.
It occurred to you that this might be some poor form of an apology, or at least as close to one as Reiji was willing to give you. You sat there dumbstruck as he continued.
“As you have made such progress in our lessons, I have decided that causing any lasting damage over a single outburst is something of a waste. Once you have been properly disciplined, I plan to resume our sessions together unless-” he finally lifted his eyes to meet your gaze “-you are now so opposed to my company that you would prefer to serve as a meal for one of my brothers.”
“No!” You blurted out. Whatever your feelings, you certainly didn’t want to go back to being the triplets’ plaything. “I would… prefer to resume our lessons.”
“A sensible choice. Well, you should finish your tea before it cools. I don’t have all night and your punishment awaits.” And with the smirk he gave you, you wondered whether you might come to regret your decision.

Arc V and My Hero Academia for the anime ask meme!
Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc V:
haven’t heard of it | absolutely never watching| might watch | currently rewatching| dropped| hated it | meh| a positive okay| liked it| liked it a lot!| loved it| a favorite
don’t watch period| drop if not interested within 2-3 episodes| give it a go, could be your thing| 5 star recommendation
fav characters: There are so many characters in this series that I love. Yuya is still my favorite character in the franchise, Yuzu’s determination is terrific, Yugo is always fun, Reira’s development was a wonderful surprise, Reiji is a wonderfully refreshing rival, Serena is cool and tough, Gongenzaka is just an awesome best friend type of character, Zarc is still my favorite final villain and Dennis’s development is both interesting and emotional. I could just go on about all of these characters even longer since they’re all so likable and interesting.
least fav characters: I think it would be Yuri. It’s mainly because he was just the hammy over the top secondary villain for most of the series. That does make him entertaining, but it didn’t make him too interesting. His backstory helped, but it felt a bit too little, too late. It also probably doesn’t help that they him defeat a ton of characters within a relatively short amount of time in order to hype him up further for his duel with Yuya.
I didn’t care much for Sawatari either, although I think I’ve warmed up a bit on him. I just didn’t like how self-centered he was. He came off as a cocky jerk and it showed in his dueling. He wanted to entertain the crowd, but he wanted the attention all for himself. It also didn’t help that people got on my case for preferring Yuya’s Entertainment Dueling over Sawatari. Not to mention they kept saying that his development made him automatically better than other characters. People getting on my case for liking or disliking a character in this series is practically a theme onto itself. I’m somewhat surprised that didn’t happen with Yuto, especially when my feelings for him changed as the series progressed. I still like Yuto, but he went from one of my favorites to just okay partly due to how overhyped I think he was. People were acting as if he was the main character instead of Yuya, calling Yuya the Standard Yuto and even claiming that the outcome of the series would somehow be better if Yuto absorbed Yuya instead and just flat out became the main character. I still generally like Yuto, but that kind of attitude does impact how I see him too.
fav relationship: I love Yuya and Yuzu’s relationship so much. Whether you see their relationship as romantic or platonic, I think that it’s clear that they do love each other. The group friendship between Yuya, Yuzu, Gongenzaka is so great. Yuya, Yuzu and Sora’s friendship is so wonderful too. Yugo and Rin are my second favorite pairing in the series. I love Yuya and Jack’s friendship so much and how they grow to respect each other. Yuya and Ed’s friendship is pretty great too.
fav moment: There are so many great moments in the series, but I’d still have to go with Yuya vs. Jack round two. That was just such a fantastic duel. Whenever I think about that match, Yuya getting the crowd to duel alongside him, Jack happily accepting defeat with a smile and raising Yuya’s arm as the victor at the end, I can’t help but feel happier inside and out.
headcanons/theories: I still like the idea of the original Zarc being within Yuya. There wouldn’t be enough of him to where Yuya could talk to him, but he’d still get more of his memories over time. The Zarc in Reira is kind of another fragment of his demon self with traces of his original self. If Zarc was split apart into four pieces the first time, he could be split into five pieces the second time around.
unpopular opinion: I think that Yuzu doesn’t get nearly enough credit for effectively saving the world. I can understand people being upset that she didn’t get a duel in the third season. That was a disappointment for me too, but I feel like people also overlook that she still had an important role in the storyline and had significant impact on other characters even without dueling. It’s also one of the reasons why I hate it when people say that she became a plot device character. In my experience, plot device characters usually only have one important relationship with another character. While the show focused more on Yuya and Yuzu’s friendship once they were separated, she still affected other characters like Sora, Serena and Yugo. Her relationships with them, along with Shuzo, were pretty important too. I understand that people want more proactive female duelists in this franchise. We don’t have a lot of them, but I don’t think that’s the only way a character can contribute to the storyline.
how’d you find it: I’ve been watching the franchise for years and I watched it right after watching Zexal. I never made it passed the first season of the dub since I didn’t care for most of the voices or changes and I’d rather not get the two versions mixed up in my mind too.
random thoughts: I love this series so much. Even with the fanbase being problematic to say the least, it doesn’t affect my love for Arc V. I love so many characters, so many duels and so many moments. It celebrates the franchise while providing its own story at the same time. Arc V makes me appreciate that I’ve been a fan of the franchise all these years. It is a terrific series, easily my favorite series in the franchise and quite possibly my favorite toyetic series. I love Arc V so much.
My Hero Academia:
haven’t heard of it | absolutely never watching| might watch | currently watching| dropped| hated it | meh| a positive okay| liked it| liked it a lot!| loved it| a favorite

fav characters: Midoriya is so likable and you pretty much instantly want to root for him. Urarka is so sweet and I love her bubbly personality. Iida is pretty fun and his role in the Hero Killer arc made him more interesting. Todoroki is pretty cool and I like how his development was handled. All Might is just such a great likable mentor figure. Aizawa turned out to be a lot cooler than I expected, mainly due to his fight during the USJ attack in the first season.
least fav characters: Mineta is the obligatory answer, but that sexist pervert is indeed the worse. He might be the most one note character in the cast and Hagakure’s gag is being invisible. While I don’t think he’d be one of my least favorite characters anymore, my initial reaction to Bakugo was not good. I knew that he’d be the bully rival character, but I wasn’t expecting him to tell Midoriya to commit suicide in the first episode. His attitude in the first season in general, especially in his first fight against Midoriya, also hit a nerve. I’ve dealt with bullies who treat you like emotional punching bags and hit harder when they think that you’re better at them in something, which is basically what happened during that first combat training match. He does fortunately become more interesting as the series progressed and he was always surprisingly smart, but that initial negative reaction was still pretty intense.
fav relationship: I love Midoriya and All Might’s student/mentor relationship. It’s probably one of my favorite things about the series since they become like a father and son so quickly. I’m happy that I finally get all of the Dad Might jokes I would hear about before watching the series now. Their connection feels so genuine and sweet. The group friendship between Midoriya, Uraraka and Iida is wonderful. Their group dynamic is so great and sweet. Midoriya and Totoroki’s friendship is pretty great. While it feels a bit one-sided, I grew to like Bakugo and Kirashima’s friendship. Kirashmia’s concern over Bakugo when he was kidnapped and Bakugo paying him back afterwards made it a lot sweeter than I expected.
fav moment: I still love All Might telling Midoriya that he could become a hero. No matter how many times I see that moment, Midoriya crying is still so emotionally effective. The final blow during Midoriya and Todoroki’s fight in the Sports Festival was just amazing. The fight against the Hero Killer was pretty awesome. All Might hugging Midoriya after the fight against All For One was so emotional and touching. I wanted to see them hug since the Sports Festival arc and it finally happened, but at such a price.
headcanons/theories: I’m not sure if I have any at the moment. I still need to finish season three, so I might some once I finish that up.
unpopular opinion: I don’t really like the Midoriya and Bakugo pairing. I can kind of see why people would like it, but it just doesn’t appeal to me. I usually don’t like pairings where at least one of the characters don’t like the other one. Plus, after seeing Midoriya help Bakugo pass their final exam against All Might, I think that Midoriya is way too good for him.
how’d you find it: I heard about the manga and anime for awhile, but I didn’t watch it until it was on Toonami. I loved it pretty much from the first episode, watched it weekly through the first season and then I binged watched season two and most of season three within four days. I was enjoying the series too much to just watch it weekly when I could watch more right away. Plus, I didn’t want to accidentally spoil anything while looking up what to reblog, especially when a lot of people had already seen the first couple of seasons at least.
random thoughts: My Hero Academia is really good. It is definitely a shonen series and I don’t know if it breaks a lot of new ground compared to just executing familiar concepts really well, but either way, it is a lot of fun. The characters are likable, the fights are solid, the powers are cool, the setting is unique and the emotional moments are well earned. It is a great show and I’m glad that I finally started to watch it.
Thank you for asking. ^_^

Can you do a scenario of how the Sakamaki and Mukamis would seduce their crush? Nice blog you've got here btw.
Thank you, hope you like this! Sorry this took so long too, school has been really kicking my ass lately rip. Some of the scenarios are fluffy, and some of them are dark. I really can’t see some of the boys treating you as something other than prey or food before they really get to know you.
Sakamaki
Ayato: Ayato watched you with a lustful, and longing gaze. From the way your smooth, (h/c) locks bounced across your shoulders, to the way your hips swished almost seductively when you walked. Ayato adored it all, especially the smell of your blood. His mouth watered in anticipation as he let his tongue slither over his fangs. Ayato very much wanted to make you his, and only his. He knew that he had to claim you tonight. Ayato had grown tired and bored of always watching you from afar. Tonight. Tonight he would take you with him by force, whether you liked it or not. He would sink his fangs into your neck, and would drink your blood to his heart’s content.
“You are mine, Ore-sama won’t have it any other way.”
Laito: Laito had you pinned against the wall as his trademark smirk adorned his appearance. “Ne, Bitch-chan, why don’t we do something fun tonight?” His smooth, breathy voice felt warm against your cheek. You desperately wanted to say something, but your voice caught in your throat as you gazed hopelessly up at Laito. “I’ve been watching you for a long time, you know?” He voiced, a cheerful smile appearing on his lips. It was almost disturbing at how happily, and carefree he said that. “I’ve wanted you for quite sometime now, is this what they call love at first sight?” His words caused an eerie chill to run down your spine. Your breathing became heavier as you stood there, trembling in place. He was absolutely terrifying. His face moved closer until his lips were just a hair away from yours.
“And now, I’ve got you cornered like a mouse.”
Kanato: Angry tears slid down his porcelain-like face as his mouth twisted downwards into a menacing frown. “Why is that whenever I see you… you are always with another man?!” Kanato screeched in anger as his hand held your arm in a vice-like grip, tightening by the second. “Kanato, please calm down…” You mumbled, “he only asked how my day was…” Kanato’s glare became even more chilling at your words. You sighed inwardly, it was no use trying to reason with Kanato when he was in a foul mood. His grip on your arm only tightened. Suddenly, Kanato’s tears abruptly stopped falling as his eyes lit up in realization. “Oh, I know what to do!” A sinister smile made its way onto his lips. He sharply tugged you closer to him, positioning himself in the crook of your neck, his fangs only inches away. “I have to make sure everyone can see that you are my prey.” Kanato harshly sank his fangs into your neck, and the sound of his greedy gulps filled your ears. It felt like an eternity before he finally retracted his fangs. A devilish grin creeped its way onto his face as he admired his work. Now everyone would know you were his.
“You’re mine, okay? Teddy agrees as well…”
Shu: Shu’s arms were wrapped around you tightly as his head rested comfortably on your shoulder. You squirmed uncomfortably, trying to loosen yourself from his grip. A sigh of exasperation left your lips as his grip on you only tightened. “Oi, stop moving. It’s annoying,” he mumbled, annoyance lacing his tone. To some, this may have looked like a form of endearment, and affection. But in actuality, you were nothing more than prey, and a warm pillow to him. “It’s your fault you’re in this situation you know, “ Shu muttered sleepily. “You always cling onto me so it’s only natural that you ended up being both my personal pillow and food,” he stated matter-of-factly.
“So stop moving and let me sleep. You’re mine, you know.”
Reiji: “Don’t be so stiff, and get rid of that slouch. It’s unbecoming for a lady,” Reiji uttered, his tone a bit bothered. “I invited you for tea my dear,” he sighed in exasperation. “I didn’t invite you with the intent to suck your blood, although I certainly would not mind.” He had a sneer on his face, the jerk had the audacity to tease you. Reiji was generally polite towards you, if not condescending. You seldom irritated him, but when you did cause him annoyance, he could dish out stinging insults. He gestured towards the tea set with his hand, motioning for you to take a cup. A content smile made its way onto his appearance, “do enjoy,” he voiced as he calmly drank.
“You are mine, so I expect nothing less than a refined, and proper attitude from you.”
Subaru: “Stop moving around so much! You’re pissing me off!” Subaru’s pale, muscular arms held you firmly against his chest. Without warning, he abruptly rips off the collar of your uniform before nestling himself in the crook of your neck. “You reek of other men, it irritates me.” Against you, Subaru’s voice was muffled, but the warning was clear and all the same. He gives you no warning as he harshly bites into you. The pain startles you, and you feel yourself growing faint. Subaru’s aggressiveness grew by the second, and it felt like he had no intention of stopping. It felt like an eternity had passed before he finally let go of you.
“You’re mine! Stop hanging around those bastards…”
Mukami
Ruki: His hand was cupped around his chin in a sophisticated, and thoughtful manner. Ruki’s eyes were trained on your figure as he observed you working on your homework. Ruki had made it a point that he wished to be near you whenever you worked on any assignment. He stated that he would ‘discipline your work habits’ and it would also, ‘give you less of a chance to escape.’ His actions were excess and unneeded, really. You knew you wouldn’t be able escape from him even if you wanted to. “Oi, look at me.” He suddenly commands, snapping you out of your thoughts. “You’ve been well behaved lately so let’s go for some tea once you are finished,” he voiced calmly. That was odd, he was usually never this nice. You nod your head slowly and you see a small smile break onto his face.
“I’m your master, Livestock. Listen to nobody but me.”
Kou: You were extremely surprised when Kou, an idol for God’s sake, had approached you seemingly out of nowhere. You were baffled at his attempts at conversation and friendship, even more so when he had asked you to be his girlfriend. You were hesitant at first, but you firmly denied him. Really, you barely knew the guy. Unfortunately for you, when you had said no, he went ballistic.
“I gave you my both my attention and affection, so is it not natural that you would do the same?! You’re just a human, so who do you think you are?” Kou was beyond furious. His normally peppy, and upbeat attitude had contorted into one of rage, and contempt. Kou’s hands balled into tight fists, and his mouth bent downwards into a frown. He gritted his teeth together as he roughly seized your shoulders, pulling you against him. Ignoring your squeaks of pain, he harshly pulled down the collar of your shirt. His fangs are etched into your neck drinking greedy gulps before you can register anything.
“Don’t resist me, it’s annoying. You’re mine, and I won’t give you to anyone.
Yuma: Lately, Yuma had been pestering you with frequent requests to help him with his garden. You knew refusing his requests would have just resulted in a violent outcome, so you just went on with his whims anyways. However, it felt unusual to see him take such tender and dedicated care of his plants. His rough, and demanding attitude gave you the impression that he took little care of his belongings. “Oi, stop spacing out and help me harvest these tomatoes, Sow.” Yuma’s voice snaps you out of your daydream. Yuma hands you a brown basket, gesturing towards the multitude of tomato plants. “Well,” he motioned to the basket, “get to it!” You laughed inwardly at his seriousness. It was quite cute on how he genuinely loved his garden. Yuma could be quite overbearing at times, but it was occasionally pleasant to work alongside him.
“What are you smiling for, Sow? Get to work!”
Azusa: “Hey… does it feel good?” Azusa drawled out. A light blush tinted his cheeks as he traced the blade of his knife across your arm. His eyes were half lidded with pleasure as he gazed intently at the blood trickling out of your wound. “Are you… enjoying it?” He breathed out, lowering his face down onto your arm. His tongue traced across the knife wound. “You taste… so sweet…” His words caused a chill to run up your back. You couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable, and alarmed at his actions. Both the situation and the way he had executed it unnerved you. The both of you had been working on a meal in the home economics room when he had abruptly grabbed hold of your arm, and started cutting it with a knife. Azusa was usually such a sweet person, so it shocked you that he was acting like this. Then again, you had always seen Azusa staring a little too intently at the cutlery. Azusa continued to lick your blood, the knife still pressed against your skin. When he looked up, a satisfied grin could be seen on his face.
“Hey… will you hurt me… as well?”

Melting a Frozen Heart
Fandom: Uta no Prince-Sama Rating: G Paring: JoshuaxCamus .
It was a cold day in Tokyo and there was a gentle snowfall that had come into Tokyo overnight for the citizens of the city. It wasn’t a harsh winter morning that could face the city but just one of those that make you appreciate the beautiful things that “Old Man Winter” can give you for a present. Sometimes however…there are things that you get that you treasure even more than that! This was the case for the duo of Joshua and Camus and on this particular morning when Joshua would usually have been up at his usual 4 AM time to get things ready for the QUARTET NIGHT he was instead pinned down by a very gentle weight on his chest and one glance over at whom he was embracing told him everything he needed to know. If you had told Joshua that he would be sharing a bed with the man that he considered one of his best bosses on the planet then he would have told you that you were nuts! He had a very deep admiration for Camus as an idol and a member of QUARTET NIGHT but feelings for the “Ice Prince” were NOT in his cards…at least…that is what he thought! There have been people that tried to figure out how long something like this had been building and truthfully…Joshua could never answer this question because to do that he would have to fabricate a story or he would have to rely on Camus to tell them and neither was something he really WANTED to do because you see he liked being upfront and honest all the time and that is what earned him the respect of all the units between QUARTET NIGHT, STARISH and HEAVENS! He said the way he felt all the time and even if it caused problems for a little bit USUALLY the mature people listened and understood where he was coming from and the others…he just didn’t have time for anymore! So what WERE the events that he could try to pinpoint the HOW he ended up like this? The best answer started after Triple S ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [FLASHBACK] Triple S had been over for about a week at this point and Joshua…well he wasn’t happy but he tried to internalize it so he didn’t cause many issues with fans on all three sides. The problem with this was that anyone that knew Joshua knew that the longer he held it in the longer he was going to hurt until he just blew up completely and then all hell was gonna break loose because its known he has a mouth on him and NO ONE can check it nor does anyone try! Heck Camus stays clear until he finally calms down and then HE goes and makes the tea for them so that they can talk if he’s with QUARTET NIGHT and if its HEAVENS…Shion is actually really good for that when he goes and finds his headphones and makes sure that its nice gentle music for him to listen to. Basically both Units had their “Go To” guy if Joshua was feeling stressed and he always returned the favor if it was needed. In Camus’ case he felt it was only fair because of the times when Joshua would serve him and in his time of need he made sure to handle his issues personally. What made this one especially interesting was that Joshua wasn’t “mad” about the outcome but it was more what Nagi and Shion diagnosed as “Aggressive Confusion” and this actually made sense to Kira who would keep watch over Joshua until he felt that things were better. Shion and Nagi agreed to help too because of how much the HEAVENS family cared about Joshua. If he was hurting they wanted to help him in any way that they could and they knew that poking this bear was NOT something you wanted to do because doing so could lead to serious problems! Now I know what you are thinking “But Joshua…how does this get us to Camus?” Patience friendos…Rome was NOT built in a day! Anyways after about 3 days where Joshua vented on social media and where Kira, Nagi and Shion came to double check on him he finally re-emerged proper (don’t worry he ate and showered and all) and apologized to everyone for the way he was acting but everyone understood. They were SO CLOSE AGAIN and they snatched defeat from the jaw of victory AGAIN and this time it was more painful because of a lot of things that happened in the buildup to Triple S…his anger was MORE THAN JUSTIFIED! Well on this day when Joshua resumed his normal duties he wanted to see the schedule that they had coming up and Kira showed him on his tablet what was coming up and…of course there was an appearance with STARISH but he knew that he needed to be Pro for that so he kept his opinions in check and made sure to be ready for it. When the time came to go to the event however…this is when a very unique set of events began to unfold! It started at the show where it was shown that they were supposed to be on the air with STARISH much like when the Duet Project was announced. THIS TIME there was an unexpected change and STARISH got pulled from the show and in their place was QUARTET NIGHT. Wanna know what the “official” reason was? “Shining was afraid it was going to cause a reaction with HEAVENS’ Manager” Okay…that would be totally valid EXCEPT Joshua knew that he actually didn’t have issues with STARISH! Matter of fact in the days that Joshua holed himself up in his room he made sure to call Ren and Masa about 5 times to apologize but they understood perfectly! It was interesting too because while they couldn’t just drop out because of the situation they said they felt genuinely bad because “HEAVENS deserves a ‘True Happy Ending’”. The point is that Shining COULD have sent Ren and Masa at the least (and Cecil too) but he chose not to and that ALMOST set Joshua off again but when he saw QN walk in he felt better actually. This was ESPECIALLY true when he saw Camus because in the back of his mind he wanted to just go work with them for a little bit and chill out but then again he also knew that working with Camus could be 24/7 and did he really need that? WELL… While the interview was going on Joshua stayed off the set because he opted out due to the fact he didn’t want to have a “flare up” on Live TV and this was respected by the hosts and the two units. Camus was concerned because he knew WHY Joshua was not participating in the interview and this actually worried him to the point that at one point in the interview he mouthed to Reiji that he “had to go take care of something” and Reiji assumed he meant something else but when he figured it out he let him go and then Reiji covered it up by saying that “Camus has an emergency and he needed to take care of it ASAP”. Now it should be obvious what was ACTUALLY going on but the hosts left it alone and Camus walked over to Joshua and this is when things started to get interesting. See ordinarily Camus would have scolded someone for doing this at one of their gigs but the Count knew what was going on with Joshua because he got a text from Shion and even one from Kira about what was going on since the Entry Concert and he respected his position. It was scary for him to find out that Josh took the loss that hard that he basically isolated himself and he wished he had heard from HIM about it because had he would have brought him back to their place and he would have made sure things were alright before he went back to Raging and HEAVENS and he would have made DARN SURE that Raging treated them better! He still considered doing the latter because he wasn’t entirely happy about what happened and he knew that Joshua was sacrificing by working with them and he was sick of either President treating him in a way that he didn’t approve of! ANYWAYS… As the interview drew to a close Camus was supposed to go back with QUARTET NIGHT…that plan changed as he told HEAVENS that he was going to go with Joshua back to Raging’s office. He had some VERY PERSONAL BUSINESS to take care of when it came to Joshua’s health and also their own treatment! Yeah…HEAVENS was about to gain a VERY STRONG ally and all they had to do (and did) was keep their mouths shut! Wanna know how the meeting went? Let’s just say that when the term “Peasant” got used here it was in a way that COULD NOT BE MISTAKEN FOR ANYTHING LESS THAN AN INSULT! Well first we got to talk about the trip there Josh drove (because he drives himself everywhere…especially when he works with Camus) and the ride was deathly silent! Like that kind of silence that basically told you that SOMETHING was gonna go down and a head or two would roll if he didn’t get what he wanted. When Camus is in one of these moods there is basically one real option and the other is if you are just stupid! - Agree to Camus’ terms OR - You learn what he can do with that Scepter and if he has to use it either you get froze up or he makes you suffer in agony which is a no win either way! The duo made their way into the offices of the actual Agency and the poor security that even THOUGHT to deny access found out that when Joshua is there with Camus that things are GOING TO HAPPEN OR ELSE! Josh legit felt bad for the guards but at the same time they had stuff they needed to get done and you were NOT going to deny him or one of his employers access…that just don’t happen! As the two made their way to Raging’s office Camus gave one specific order: “DON’T come in!” Josh has only ever been given that order one other time and when he got it he went to go the cafeteria cos he knew stuff was about to go down and he needed to just stay out of the way. Suffice to say…that’s what he did when he went to go grab lunch and Camus had a nice LONG discussion with the “beloved” President Now as I mentioned before…Camus wasn’t in the best of moods dealing with Raging. He had heard the rumblings about the physical abuse that Eiichi and his bro felt at the hands of the lunatic President and he wasn’t happy! While he admitted that he wasn’t a “perfect” boss to Raging the one thing he DID tell him was that he was TRYING to get better and its why he requested Joshua every so often so that he could work on things. In a way its because of him that the “Count” got kept under wraps in public! Did Raging have a counter? Not really but he tried by saying that they were “His kids” and “His Property” and if you want to know what Camus can be like REALLY HOT then let’s just say if he threw the chair that Joshua could hear hit the door any HARDER then Otori was gonna be missing a door soon and that was something that he didn’t want! One other thing though that Camus alerted Rage about was the fact that he was deeply concerned for Joshua’s mental state after the Triple S. He knew that Joshua took HEAVENS’ loss hard but he didn’t know necessarily ALL the details till a few days later and THAT was why they were there in the first place! It was at that time that Camus basically gave Raging an order “Joshua comes with me or I rearrange this office so that you can’t fix it!” Okay now…I know what you are thinking “But…Joshua can already go if he wants to right?” TRUTH…but the thing was for Josh that he never liked leaving HEAVENS alone to go work for Camus unless he had a reason to. Its sufficient to say that the previous events mentioned were a good enough REASON but well…you know? Joshua didn’t want to leave if he wasn’t comfortable but now it was to the point where a lot of people were concerned for him and the QUARTET NIGHT were concerned especially when Camus had to go check on him in the first place! The long and short of it was that Joshua was basically TOLD that he was going back with Camus and that HEAVENS would be taken proper care of while he was away. He also told Joshua in a very interesting way that “You have a very good man here and not just as a boss either” which was was…odd wording to say the least but when Joshua put the dots together he started to understand things a little bit better. Its no secret to a lot of people that Joshua was very much fond of Camus and that in some ways he patterns himself as far as style of managing after Camus in the way he organizes things. The thing is here that Joshua wouldn’t necessarily be going to the QUARTET NIGHT complex to work unless he really wanted to. The order that was pretty much given was this “You go there to recharge and when the time comes for you to come back to see us we’ll be waiting. You are a part of the HEAVENS family and we love and respect you for what you do for us here but you’re no good if you end up dead because you had a stroke due to being mad. Go and rest up and take care of yourself and I’m sure that your Boss here will see to that.” With that statement…Joshua was free to go with Camus and QUARTET NIGHT and after they went and packed a few suitcases with some of his essentials (Camus had a setup for him in his room just in case something like this happened so he didn’t need his computer) then they left and Joshua waved “bye” to HEAVENS but he promised he would be back and he WOULD BE…but a changed man for the better! When the two got back to the QUARTET NIGHT’s place Ai greeted them at the door and believe it or not he was actually very happy to see him again! Now this isn’t COMPLETELY unusual because Ai and Joshua got along great (actually he gets along with them all just fine) but he and Ai would sometimes spend hours analyzing the footage from a rehearsal to make sure that things went better the next time, and the time after that and after that and…you get the idea! Ran was always happy to see Joshua because if there was one thing he always needed it was an honest opinion on the dishes he was making. The good news was that, even when he was BRUTAL at times, Joshua was so honest that he almost couldn’t ask anyone else to do it and this included Camus or Haruka which was strange cos he got along well with her so what gave you know? Reiji was happy and I mean REALLY HAPPY to have Joshua back for a little while and, while this would NORMALLY get on Joshua’s nerves, he was very much happy to be back to see him again. Camus just told him to be careful with Joshua because while he was there to do some light work (Camus wasn’t gonna push him too hard with the tasks) he was mostly there to chill out and destress and if he needed to work on his laptop out in the living room to just let him be. Reiji didn’t even pout about it because he sort of already knew the situation so he let it be. The rest of the day was just getting back in stride with everyone else and seeing what their schedule was going to be like. While Joshua promised he wasn’t going to work TOO HARD while he was there he wanted to earn his keep for sure and the crew would make sure that he did just that but mostly helping with the cooking and watching practices. This is what Camus basically told him he would be doing because he wanted him to NOT THINK too much about other stuff. The rest of QUARTET NIGHT didn’t object because, as we discussed, they knew Joshua’s situation and he only had to do the other things if he got bored enough. Camus needed him to destress before he even thought about going back to HEAVENS and that was first and foremost. I stress this because you have to understand how important a figure Joshua had become when he rose to a level of power in the industry and the fact that there were a lot of groups that wanted his services really showed how popular he was…QN and HEAVENS just didn’t want him to stretch himself too thin over it is all! This was also stressed because the events of the next few days became very interesting for Joshua and QUARTET NIGHT but more importantly for himself and Camus! Okay listen…Camus considers himself a “Ladies Man” and we can dig this right? The thing of it was that when he and Joshua were driving to go see Raging he immediately thought about WHY he was doing this and it hit him like a brick! Its not often that Camus says he “cares” about a person…call it being “emotionally void” or whatever have you but Camus legitimately had told Joshua once that “Its impossible for someone like me to be in a relationship because I wouldn’t know how to handle being close to another person” and Joshua knew this was true! He was the personal escort for Camus and Haruka to a couple of functions and watching him TRY to be in any way close to Haruka was HARD and not just on the level of “Being the Count” but when they got time to be alone it was so painful that Josh had to find a way to stop the pain before it got worse! You think this is an exaggeration but it was one of the few times this self-professed “Ladies Man” was having issues and it legit depressed Josh for sure! Now why do I bring this up? This is why 3 Days later It was a really nice day out so Joshua had decided to go for a drive and he asked Camus where he and the rest of QN performed “KIZUNA” and Camus told him before he left for the day and then Joshua went on his trip after packing a “Lunch for one” which he rarely gets to do but sometimes its fun to just have a lunch that you know no one can complain about cos its all for you! ANYWAYS When he got to the beach with his lunch he did something that some would think is kind of “weird” but if you know how Joshua’s mind works it actually makes sense! He got out of the car with his lunch and then carefully climbed up onto the roof of his car and legit had his lunch up there! Some would think this is a little bonkers but then again when you understand how Joshua works on a GOOD DAY then its not that bad! What else was noteworthy was what he did after he ate! He headed down to beach and then started randomly humming the melody to “Double Face” and then switched it into “Aurora” which was an interesting transition for sure! It got better when he started humming “The Dice are Cast” and then went into “Immortal Inferno” which was completely random but what he wasn’t expecting was what happened next! Okay how to explain this… One song that Joshua simply LOVES when Camus performs it is “Double Face”. Its one of his favorites because of the “unique duet” that Camus would do with himself and every so often when Joshua would have “alone time” he would try to imitate Camus’ pitch for his “idol side” because he was promised that IF he could ever get it right that they would perform the song together for one of the concerts with QN and STARISH coming up! Since Joshua was pretty much given time to just…be alone recently he figured he would attempt it again and again until he got it right! Problem: He needed Camus to be there to help with half of it and well…he wasn’t there! Or was he? Randomly out of nowhere Joshua started at least humming the melody to see if he could remember how that half generally goes and to try and get the lyrical range down and he went over it at least 5 times before he started and the first time he could tell it wasn’t right so he stopped instantly! Each time after he could feel it was getting closer and closer and closer but that wasn’t THE ONLY THING getting closer! Finally after a long time trying he actually was able to get it! When Joshua thought no one was around he started singing the one half and from not too far behind him came that booming voice that Joshua knew well! Joshua didn’t get shook either and was able to continue with the song and Camus legit felt (and said so afterwards) that it felt like he was singing with a part of himself in another body! It was the most surreal thing he ever dealt with but at the same time he thought it was really darn cool and when the song finished Joshua realized how close they were and then turned and coughed to try and excuse himself but Camus knew what was happening in the strangest of ways…how to explain it to anyone else would be nearly impossible! Later that night things got even crazier when unconsciously while talking with Reiji Josh slipped into that voice and Rei first looked at Ranmaru and then Ai and then he saw Camus who legitimately had that look like if his jaw could detach and smack the floor about 10 times it would have! Seriously Joshua was surprising everyone and then Rei KNEW they needed him at the concert and Camus agreed…especially doing the song he promised Joshua that they would do together! What became more interesting was what happened 2 days later Now its true that Camus has stated that it was HARD for him to develop feelings for someone and by “feelings” we mean “romantic feelings” but in this case here was Camus thinking about why he even asked for Joshua to become his Assistant back at the Shining Agency a few years ago and then there was how things were when he went on a personal vacation to Permafrost. Something stuck in his mind when he found out the reason why Joshua did that “I wanted to see where you came from and I wanted to meet the people you ruled over with the Silk Queen. I figured if I did that I could better serve you as an Assistant but I could also start to connect with you better on a personal and emotional level. If I couldn’t do that then I failed and I don’t take failures well Boss so just know that!” Yes you heard right…Joshua went to Permafrost to see if he could strengthen his connection to Camus outside of just serving him as his Assistant! When Camus heard that originally he had the same look of shock that he did now standing at the window of the QN’s place while also thinking about Joshua wanting to perform “Double Face”. Yes the song has a completely different meaning but Joshua was always about “transforming songs” and seeing what he could do to enhance them. Yes the song IS about both halves of Camus’ personality but he was watching Joshua not only perfect that song but legit “perfect HIM” in that he was getting to the point where he could switch that on if he ABSOLUTELY needed to! Josh promised not to do it unless someone was being a complete jerk though cos that would be a good head game for him to use! What Camus was figuring out was that the way they were “bonding” wasn’t completely through actions…well okay it kind of was, but it was also through indirect methods that Joshua had used over the time that he got to know Camus and it was in that time that Joshua was learning something very important but the question in the Count’s mind was this “Could he learn it WITH HIM?” Their relationship was always an interesting one because when they worked together there was always “learning to do” and the big thing Joshua wanted to do was learn about Camus and, in his own way, find his way into his heart and mind. Little did Joshua realize that by doing that he was starting to…not “become” his boss but he was “inheriting” little things. To Camus’ credit when he would see Joshua on his downtime he would see how he had fun and he would try his best to at least learn how to have “fun” with him (not like that kids…this is a family story) and Joshua always enjoyed seeing him try. It was sometimes hilarious the result but he did it simply because he wanted to understand how this young man wound down and in the process he started to learn how to have fun and not be completely serious 24/7! Their bond and relationship was becoming far more than just “Boss/Assistant” but it was becoming more and Camus was realizing this when he watched Joshua working on personal projects away from the studio like when he and Ran would do some cooking and it was all good! Interestingly enough watching Joshua have all this fun in a way made him start to really examine himself more but it also was making Joshua want to go back to work with Camus too! It was interesting how this free time that he was getting (and him STILL practicing “Double Face”) was really positively affecting not just THEM but QN as a whole! But the biggest change wouldn’t be seen until the HEAVENS/QN concert! Okay so how do I explain THIS? So the night of the concert with HEAVENS everyone was there right on time (Joshua made sure that HEAVENS was there on time cos he knows how Eii is) and they went through the setlist for the night and Josh asked if a song could be moved to the end and when he explained what song and why they agreed to it because they wanted to see this for themselves and the story that they were going to tell with it! The concert went off without a hitch and HEAVENS did “Immortal Inferno” as their finishing song but then Eiji went and personally introduced the final song for the evening “Ladies and Gentlemen. The final song this evening tells the story about how two halves become one. The ‘Ying and Yang’ of a person as well as the good and bad when it unites. Its going to also tell the story in this case of how two people over time started far apart but have grown so close together that it’s a bond that cannot nor WILL IT be broken! One of our own has said that this song helped him grow closer to someone that he truly cares about and we respect this about him. Ladies and Gentlemen performing ‘Double Face’ here is Camus of the QUARTET NIGHT and our friend Joshua. Good night and take care!” When the song started the crowd was a little confused but then they saw the jackets that the two men were wearing and without having to hear the rest of the song they just looked at Joshua and Camus and smiled…this is what Eiji meant! The duo started far apart from each other but as they continued the crowd watched them drift closer and closer together and then they REALLY figured it out! Through the things that Joshua has inherited from Camus and Camus from Joshua these two “halves” have started to become one and as the song was nearing its end and the crowd watched them face each other performing the final chorus they knew something that it was going to take some in QN a LITTLE time to clue in on but the good news was…it didn’t take long! As the song finished Joshua did the one thing he NEVER thought he would do on a stage: He kissed Camus on the lips and smiled before uttering the following words “I know we are boss and employee but Camus…I love you and that means more to me than anything else in the world right n—“ Joshua was cut off by Camus returning the favor and let’s just say a few fangirls were getting out the cameras to catch this moment! OH DID THEY HAVE SOME EXPLAINING TO DO! After this moment a lot of things changed but one thing didn’t the respect that HEAVENS had for Joshua because this took A LOT of courage and they were happy as all heck for him! [END FLASHBACK] ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When Joshua remembered that moment he couldn’t help but smile because he knew how important it was for them. Camus had told him once before that he wished they could evolve their relationship and now they were taking that step! When they went and talked to the rest of QN and then also HEAVENS not long after the PDA they were given their blessings because they knew how important it was for them. One thing was for sure though Reiji had wondered some time before Joshua came back to the QN’s place if it was possible to “melt a frozen heart” as cold as Camus’…this was proof positive that it COULD be done and he was happy to prove it to him! Joshua and Camus were together again and as the Assistant looked over one more time at Camus’ sleeping face he couldn’t help but smile “Good Morning Camus…may today be as blessed as our lives. I love you and never forget that!” [END]
