It's done its done!! Really happy with how this one came out, thought he turned out looking super cute. Out of all my "modern day" characters Cavi is genuinely the nicest one, though of course he does not come off that way at first

Lost Kingdoms Day 28 - Home

Although it appears to be an "abandoned" and unwelcoming city, Ahveph is a safe and welcoming home for it's children, and anyone else who may need one.

To be honest my scanner really did NOT like this one, so please imagine it to be more glowy with slightly more well behaved contrast, lol. I thought the lines turned out pretty cute though!

Lost Kingdoms Day 21 - Shrine

Some shrine mirrors have made it all the way to modern day Reality, where Ahveph has completely repurposed them, repelling the gaze of almost anyone who looks except for a select few individuals. Back when they were new, however, they had a simpler life just watching over offerings and serving as the occasional emergency transportation.

This specific mirror has been around in my head for a long, long time but I think this is the first time I have been able to like....draw it correctly. I am sooooo happy with it :D

Lost Kingdoms Day 23 - Campfire

The mountainous, heavily forested Citadel region offers plenty of spots for camping - ranging from gentle meadows an easy hike away to remote reaches for those in need of some adventure.

So in my head I had imagined Torch sitting on a log so that he was kind of parallel to the fire, making sure the log did not actually catch ON fire, because this was a story scene where Cavi, a mega city boy, who has only a vague understanding of 'camping' and 'how to camp', wanted to take Torch camping. He then proceeded to do so without any further research, brought a bunch of random items he'd seen people camp with in movies, and then made the squirrelliest camping layout possible. Torch is from the mountains (he is actually in the previous picture about Mercury Falls) and knows full well about camping but chose to let Cavi, uh, try his best.

However, I realized rather belatedly that the way I ended up drawing it it looks like Torch is checking out a very large fire hovering in the air in front of him...which idk, also acceptable, he's seen weirder.

I probably won't have my first art challenge piece done until later tonight but in the meanwhile here is this kind of study from last night! I like how the colors came out. Lorewise, this is from an area where the time of day appears to be locked in place (by magic), and this beachy wavey spot also happens to be in the Perpetual Sunset Zone

Finally Torch's updated ref is done! I have had the Stuff drawn for some time but was struggling for a bit with drawing Him in a satisfactory way...but it's done! Completing everything else went real fast, its just a test of my will not putting a novel's worth of text all over these. Next will be Cavi, as Torch/Tower/Cavi are basically a found family group, so I want to complete the set. Cavi's Stuff is also done and I just need to draw him, but I don't think I'm gonna finish in time for artfight :^Ta
