armando aretas x (oc) [ black!fem! ]
a decade ago armando spent an unforgettable summer with an unforgettable girl, who taught him everything. his sex teacher. now decade later he’s face to face with the teacher once again, determined to show that her lessons didn’t go to waste.

club exquisite was in full swing. bodies packed the building, from wall to wall, people were dancing, drinking, or doing both simultaneously. multicolored strobe lights swirled and danced, combinations of blues, greens and reds illuminated the dance floor, complimenting the dj’s killer set of miami’s finest.
it was lively and fun.
armando, however, was having anything but.
tucked away in a corner booth of the v.i.p., armando sat bored out of his mind, sipping on way too sweet champagne. he should’ve been doing something more useful with his time. instead, he was stuck playing babysitter for the son of a future drug connect, all this per his mother’s instructions.
. . .this marriage between his son and your cousin, alejandra will benefit us. our partnership will bring us one step closer, it’s all apart of the grand design mijo. . .
was sipping champagne that tasted like super sugary, ginger ale a part of the grand design? apparently. watching the groom-to-be snort a line of coke off of girl’s ass was a part of the grand design too. armando took another sip from the flute before sitting it down on table, watching as the girl giggled and kissed sebastian on the mouth. armando never cared for sebastian, they were just so different from one another. sebastian was a pretty boy who liked pretty things, he never worked a day in his life and instead of doing his own thing, he basked in the glory of his father’s notoriously ruthless reputation. armando was self-made, haunted by his father’s death and forged by the fire of mother’s imprisonment. armando blazed his own path and was destined for greater things.
yet, he was here in miami, clubbing with sebastian’s and his pack of idiot friends.
a heavy hand shook him out of his thoughts.
“primo,” sebastian slurred. he swiped at his runny nose, before running hand down his half buttoned shirt. “c’mon, we’re going to the real v.i.p.,”
slightly relieved, armando followed sebastian as the bachelor party were lead by security out of the main dance floor. as they weaved between the crowd, armando trailed slightly behind, keeping a careful eye out on the crowd. despite never being in a fight in this his life, sebastian had a fuck ton of enemies. he was like that. the music became a faint murmuring as the group walked through a door and into an elaborately painted hallway. the walls were a warm golden color, while the ceiling and its floors were covered in mirrored tile. the group continued on, armando continued to linger in the back. amongst the drunken laughter of sebastian and his friends, was this clicking sound.
click! . . . click! . . . click!
armando searched around for the sound as they continued down the hallway, eyes roamed around until he found the source, woman in a pair of high heels. they weren’t just any, regular pair of heels, they were black-patent leather so kate louboutins. fortunately enough for armando he’s familiar with the shoe, he may or may not have purchased a pair or two for his past situationships. armando continues to observe; taking in the details, the woman’s shapely and toned legs, the rich brown skin, and the intricate zipper tattoo that began at the back of her ankle, and traveled up her leg. the remainder of tattoo was lost from the fabric of her dress.
a curiosity sparked inside of armando, watching the woman confidently strut the mirrored floor. he wanted to see just how far the tattoo went. she continued leaving a lingering smell in her wake. it was a combination of warm and spicy, like cinnamon and peach pie. her fragrance filled the molecules in the air he could practically taste it. after turning a corner, the group came to halt in front of pair of doors. from the other side, a pair of security guards opened up the doors.
sebastian and his friends drunkenly ooo-ed and ahh-ed and the ornate nature of the room. armando could care less about the sliver couch, the decked-out bar or the strippers that awaited them upon their arrival, he focused on her. although he got better view, she still alluded him, he could see her from the back, fully, a black bandage dress, accentuated her curves and that ass. . . it looked so round and perky like you could bounce a quarter off it, or grab a handful.
something slowly churned inside of armando as he moved further into the room. he leisurely grabbed a seat on the far end of the couch, with the hopes of seeing his mystery girl's face. the party continued on with the speakers on the room ceiling playing a feed of the dj’s set back out on the dance floor. sebastian and his groomsmen settled on the couch, excited for their lap dances. the lights dimmed too, not enough obscure one’s sight completely, but dark enough to bring on a certain atmosphere to the space.
armando scanned the room for his mystery girl. somehow she’s disappeared on him.
“aren’t you pretty one,” a voice whispered to him, distracting armando from his search. standing before was a woman, one of the strippers. her voice was overly smoky and performative. even the way she batting her long, wispy lashes, she was trying way too hard. he tilted his head away from his obstructed view, “you wanna dance, papí?” armando glanced up at her, a laugh bubbled up inside of him, he suppressed it, for her sake of course.
“nah, sweetheart. i’m good,” armando rasped. the woman shrugged, on to the next. when the stripper moved, standing directly in his sight was his mystery girl. even through the darkness, she was as clear as day.
her heart-shaped face, her button nose and glossy lips, her disney-drawn eyes, brown and wide, in they way they’ve always looked when she was shocked or anxious.
armando’s mystery girl, was no mystery at all. he knew her.
before he could call out to her, she bolted out of the room through the doors. armando glanced at sebastian, who was having a grand ‘ol time being motorboated by a voluptuous stripper. he’s fine. armando took off, following the cinnamon-peachy scent out to the hallway.
she was almost at the end of the hallway. . .
“leyna?” she stopped. she slowly turned around and faced him. “you runnin’ from me?”
her brows furrowed. “i wasn’t running. i was just. . .getting some air,”
armando’s lips twitched. he sauntered over, baring no shame is as he took, no, drank leyna in. it’s been so long, his eyes roamed over leyna. armando took his time, observing, noting every single detail, both old and new. he zeroes in on her legs, watching has she nervously bounces her right leg, the tattooed one. her louboutins make a soft clicking noise against the floor.
armando smirks.
“still shakin’. . .you must be nervous,” armando gestured, it was a tick leyna’s had since she was a kid. leyna frowned, she stopped bouncing. she folded arms around her chest.
“please, i’m not nervous,” she sassed. her glossy lips pursed, forming into a small pout. such a brat. he wanted to kiss the pout off her lips. “anyways, what are you doing here, in miami?”
for a moment, he thinks. armando could tell her the truth flat out: he’s here in miami for business, and his only job was ensuring that sebastian, sober or not, makes it down the isle. . .or he could stretch the truth out. make it a game for himself. anything to distract leyna, even if it’s for a short while.
so, armando shrugs. “business,”
“business? that’s it? it’s been ten years armando, that’s all you have to say?”
armando steps closer to leyna. his over 6-foot frame easily towers over her petite 5-foot-3 frame. has she always been so tiny? he reaches out towards her, the corner of his lips twitch as leyna’s chest rises as her breath catches in her throat. he twirls a long strand of between his fingers, before giving it a gentle tug.
“s’ somewhere we can talk?”
“armando,” leyna sighed. her voice was all high and pitchy, it scratched a certain part of his brain. a flood of memories came surging through. he need hear leyna say his name like that again. “i’m working. both of us should get b-back,”
leyna moves past him, armando doesn’t protest. as she starts walking away, armando reaches into his pant’s pocket.
“how much?” leyna spins around on her heels. a flicker of curiosity dances in her eyes.
“huh?” armando watches leyna eyes light up even more when pulls a money clip out. he thumbs through several bills before he lifts it up.
“its ‘bout three g’s in my hand. should be enough for a shift plus tips, yeah?” her eyes bounce between the money and armando. he can see the wheels in her mind turn, she chews on the bottom of her glossy lips.
“10-minutes. that’s all i can do,” armando nodded. he placed the money in her hand, his fingers gently brushed against hers. ten minutes is all he needs.
armando follows leyna down the hallway, opposite of the party. his eyes roamed, watching leyna’s body sway as she walked. he shouldn’t be turned on from a walk but he was. leyna didn’t walk, she glided. so effortless, and so easy, better then any it was something about seeing her so confidence all these years later. it was refreshing, armando dealt with so many fakes and try hards in his line of business. leyna’s confidence was real. she was real.
“i can feel you staring,” leyna sassed. they stop at a door, she quickly inputs a set of numbers on a keypad. the door clicks.
“i like what i see,” leyna shakes her head, she opens the door, stepping aside to let armando walk in front of her.
the room itself was half the size of the v.i.p. room, and opposite in aesthetics too. the walls were painted a nice, creamy beige, with a matching colored couch. on the far wall, there was an elaborate shelf display old-used bottles of champagne. armando steps inside, taking the room in. the door softly closes, with a click. the room is quiet.
“so,” leyna drawls. she takes a seat on the couch. armando follows suit, sitting next to her. their knees almost graze each others. she flips her hair over her shoulder. “wanna tell me the real reason why you’re here in miami?”
armando chuckles. “a wedding. my cousin ‘s gettin’ married,”
“alejandra?” she remembered, of course she did. she was always to so knowledgeable and attentive. she used to be like that to him.
“yeaaah. she’s been lovin’ bein’ in charge of everybody with the plannin’ and stuff,”
“i hope she’s not bogging you down too much,” his lips tipped into a teeny-tiny smile. she still was still the ever-doting teacher, worried about her student.
“nah. wedding plannin’ ain’t my thing. besides, i’m just assigned babysittin’ duty for sebastian,”
“mhm. i would’ve never paired them together. alejandra, from what i remembered, was so kind, and funny, smart too! sebastian is just a grade-a asshole who likes wreck every club he goes to and piss in public,” armando chuckles as leyna shivers, maybe recalling a memory. armando reaches for the hem of her dress, he toys with it between his fingers. she doesn’t stop him.
“she loves ‘em i guess,” part of that was true, their marriage was arranged yet, alejandra told him that she’s learned to love parts of sebastian. there’s a part of him that wished it wasn’t like that for her.
“i wish her the best,” leyna spoke solemnly.
the room fell quiet, armando still toyed with the edge of leyna’s dress. he tipped his head, looking at leyna.
“you’ve been good though, yeah,” he meant for it to be question but it came out as a statement. she had to be good though, she looked good, and had this fancy ass job at one of miami’s most exclusive clubs. life had to be good.
leyna’s leg began to bounce, as she twirled a strand of hair around her finger. “yeah, i guess. my life’s been pretty boring since you’ve seen me,”
“tell me,”
“well. . .” leyna trailed. her leg still bounced. armando wanted grab her ankle and make her stop. why was his girl nervous? “i graduated, i gotta b.a. in business administration, got this hostess job short after, met my best friend ana here, let me tell you she’s literally the best cook,” she was rambling, slightly, but armando didn’t care, he wanted to know every single detail. he missed his girl, his bambi. they need to make up for lost time.
“we’re going into business together, a restaurant. i’m going to take care of all the logistics, put my degree to good use, finally. so, yeah, i’m really excited about it, as you can see. but yeah, uhm, what else, i was engaged,”
armando stopped toying with the hem. he turned and took her fully, her right leg bounced even more so. that’s what she was nervous about.
“what happened?”
“uhm,” her beautiful features held a pained expression. a twinge of anger sprouted inside of armando, seeing her like this. whoever made his girl upset needed their ass kicked, especially by him. “to make a long story short, he cheated, multiple times actually. i just got tired being the laughing stock in every room,” she lowered her gaze and fiddled her hands.
armando slowly reached for leyna’s hands. her hands were so soft under his touch. with his thumb, he drew light circles on the back of her hands. a strange emotion was bubbling up inside him, he couldn’t put his finger on exactly what it was. a little anger, some jealousy, a little sadness too, it was just too much fully explain but the his urge was clear. armando wanted to pull her close, and take care of her like she truly deserves.
“he didn’t deserve you,” she looks at him now, her big brown eyes all wide and glossed over. long lashes fluttered against the tops of her round cheeks, her resemblance to bambi was spot-on. the air became thick around them, and that urge, thrummed in his bones.
armando wanted leyna and he wanted her bad.
“you deserved somebody that’ll take care of you,” he rasped. his words were sincere and true, leyna was one of the kindest, tentative, sweetest people he had ever known. she shown him a kindness when most people wouldn’t. leyna deserved the world, and then some. “you deserve someone who’s gonna protect you, an’ spoil you, an’ just fuckin’ be there,” words were spilling out of his mouth now, like faucet left on. he leans in closer to her, glancing down her glossy lips. he licked his own. “bambi, you deserve someone that can make you feel good,” armando was so dangerously close he could see a breath get caught in leyna’s throat, her chest slight rose up in response. he caught a glimpse of leyna’s jet-black bra that held up her ample cleavage. the peachy-cinnamon smell radiated off the column of her neck, it enticed him, slowly drawing him closer and closer to her.
armando leaned his forehead against her’s.
“fuck, bambi,”
“. . .armando,” leyna whispered. her voice was so pitchy and soft, it smoothed over him. it triggered a hunger for leyna, more veracious than ever before. ten years of distance and unresolved feelings, danced in his blood. his palms itched with desire to squeeze and caress leyna’s soft skin. he wanted to touch the softest part of her.
“please. bambi, ‘jus lemme care take of you, make you feel good. . . i never get what i want,”
leyna back away from him, keeping a steady gaze, she caressed the side of armando’s cheek. her manicured acrylics lightly scratched at his goatee. a bolt of electricity shot through his body when her thumb swiped at his bottom lip.
“i’ve only been with a few men after you,” leyna confessed. “none of them, including my ex, made me feel good like you did. you were the only one,”
armando groaned, lowly. everything in him surged to the surface, so much so he was bursting at the seams.
“c’mere,” leyna obliged. he pulls her in for a kiss. at first it was chaste and sweet, armando tried to ease into the kiss, but the pillowy, softness of her lips and her sweet peachy smell drove him insane. he deepened the kiss, moving his lips hungrily, against hers, while he cradled her head. when he licked her lips, leyna opened her mouth to allow him to explore with her with his tongue. she tasted like peach pie.
"i need it," leyna moaned into his mouth. armando hovered over her lips.
"you say somethin' bambi," he teased, he slid his hands down her frame, stopping at her ass. he rubbed and squeezed, before smacking it. she squeaked.
"baby, please," leyna whimpered, she climbed into armando's lap. she slowly, ground down on his lap, she gasped, feeling his hardness. the look she had in her eyes, a mix of lust and longing, shot straight through him and went to his dick. he snaked a hand towards the back of her neck, he gently gripped the soft flesh. she stopped her movement.
"take that fuckin' dress off," he groaned. leyna blinks. she rose from his lap and proceeded to shimmy out of the dress. she let it pool at her feet before stepping out of it. armando couldn't help himself, all of her smooth curves, and deep rich skin, he just wanted to take a big bite of her. he pulled her back to the couch, switching places, and slid between her legs.
there was no pretense, armando immediately spread her legs wide went straight for leyna's pussy. with his thumb he rubs at her clothed pussy. he revels in the small squelching noise that her pussy makes. leyna whimpers, looking down at him with those big, brown eyes. he chuckles.
“still sensitive?” leyna quickly nods. armando chuckles again, he peels her to the side, admiring the slivery trail of arousal that drips from her pussy onto the fabric. he hums. such a pretty pussy. leyna's pink pussy drips and drools with arousal, fully open and ready, all for him. with calloused thumbs, armando rubs small, droopy circles on the inner parts of leyna's thighs. he inched forward, replacing his fingers with chaste kisses, they create goosebumps on leyna's skin. he licks his lips, keeping his eyes on leyna, kisses her clit.
"fuck! armando,"
he anticipates. before she could ask, armando lays his tongue flat against leyna’s dripping core.
“oo-ooh,” she coos. “you ‘remembered,”
how could he forget, images of him buried between leyna’s shaky legs are burned into his brain. countless lessons from her, teaching him, guiding him. he swears he can hear her voice, way back when during that time.
. . .spread your tongue, a little to the left. yeah ‘just like that, s’ good. good boy. . .
a forceful yank on armando’s curls bring him back to reality. he adjusts his grip on leyna’s thighs, spreading them wider, the pads of his thumbs caressing the plushness.
“fuuuck me! oh my g-god,” leyna whines. armando smiles against her skin, his tongue licks a long stripe against leyna’s core. her arousal is sweet, like peach ice cream. it’s the sweetest thing he’s ever, will ever taste. his sweet girl. armando groans, pulling back slightly, he brings his calloused thumb to leyna’s swollen nub. armando rubs her clit, reveling in her response to his touch. she practically glows, deep brown skin, completely flushed, reddening a bit at her chest. her glossy lips formed into a cute pout, her bottom lip poking ever so slightly, just begging to be kissed, to be bitten by him. seeing her so overwhelmed, so pleasured, sends wave of arousal through armando. his erection painfully rubs against the fabric of his slacks.
“eyes on me, baby,” armando rasps. leyna’s struggle to stay open, succumbing to euphoria between her legs. smack! leyna’s disney-drawn eyes shoot open, to look down at armando. for a moment armando sees something flicker in them, it strips him bare, milliseconds feel like years under her gaze. armando pulls back, spitting directly onto leyna’s pussy. with a new vigor, he dives back in, his tongue licks and drags up and down her softness. his tongue swirls the mix, leyna’s honeyed arousal and his spit, gathering and spreading it onto her clit. he begins suckling the nub, feeling leyna’s sugary essence drip down his goateed chin.
“a-armando! wait s-slow down,”
“uh-uh. you’re my big girl,” he spits, again. armando slurps leyna’s clit, hard. no better then a starving man. “you can take it,”
“c-cumin’. i’m cumin’ baby, pleaseee,” leyna lets out a melodious whine. better than any song or music he’s ever heard. nothing can compare to his girl’s angelic voice, all pitchy and delicate. it’s music to his ears.
“ 's i got you. i got you bambi, let it out,” armando drawls. he sucks at leyna’s clit as it throbs against his tongue. her legs clamp down around armando’s head, this makes him push harder to get her over the edge. he switches his approach, one hand pries open leyna’s leg, with the other he slips his middle finger inside her entrance, slowly prodding her open, he flattens his tongue to lap at her clit. with the other hand he reaches, palming one of her bra covered breasts.
“s-shit! don’t stop please,” leyna is babbling now. she rakes her nails through armando’s thick curls. armando can feel her tightening around his middle finger. she’s close. . .
bam! the band snaps. leyna orgasms hard.
her sugary, syrupy essence flows out of her. leyna holds armando’s head close, she rides out her aftershocks, jerking lightly when his tongue and nose glides over her sensitive clit. slowly, armando pulls away, a string a saliva connects from his lips to leyna’s pussy. he rose up from his crouched position. armando towering over her, his eyes gazing down at her, dilated pupils heavy with dangerous mix, care and lust, maybe even something more. the soft lighting catches armando’s glistening goatee and cheeks. his pink tongue swipes at his bottom lip, like a coyote eyeing its subdued prey.
leyna was everything at the same time. his baby take care of, his princesa to spoil, and his bambi to devour.
“h-how’d you get so good,” leyna stammered. her breathing is still a bit choppy.
“learned from the best,” he rasps, he eyes slowly rake over, as if he was studying her. he wanted to remember her in this very moment.
leyna smiles, sheepishly.
“c’mere,” armando beckons. leyna obliges, she sits up, scooting closer to the edge of the couch. armando tilts leyna chin upwards, he leans in, capturing her lips. he nips at her bottom lip, when leyna opens her mouth, he seizes the opportunity to slip his tongue inside. she tastes herself on his tongue, it starts off tangy but quickly bleeds into a saccharine taste. their tongues wrestle. before, in this war of mouths, leyna used to win, mostly due to armando’s lack of experience, but now it’s much different. he wields his tongue masterfully like knight and their sword, twisting and tasting every inch of her mouth.
“you ready for me princesa?” leyna nods. he watches as her mouth opens and then closes when he slips his shirt over his head. she's pratically drooling at the sight. she should be, countless hours of training have contributed to his sculpted body, all muscles and hard edges. mindlessly her fingers trace over his chest. nails drag over the ridges of his six-pack. she stops her ogling when she sees a scar near his rib cage. armando notices.
“bar fight. fucker, got me good with a broken bottle. had to get a couple stitches,”
“oh baby,”
“hey, hey,” armando gently grabs leyna’s hand. he drags it up, so it cups his cheek. “i’m good,”
his voice holds sincerity as that strange feeling returns inside of him. that urge to hold and take care of leyna, to protect her from his woes, the world, and all its troubles. leyna reaches down to unbuckle his pants, but he stops her.
“not tonight, bambi. wanna be inside of you,”
leyna gulps. he cocks his head to the side.
“don't get all shy on me now," armando tilts her chin. "you know what to do, princesa,"
leyna peels out of her slightly ripped and soaked panties, she tosses them aside. she reaches behind for the clasp of her bra, she unbuckles it, carefully she lays it on the couch next to her dress. when leyna reaches down to slip off her heels, armando tsks.
“nah. leave ‘em on,” armando bites his lip, his eyes sweeping over her naked frame. she’s changed a lot over ten years, she’s curvier, with an obvious plushness and fullness in her breasts and ass. noticeably, there’s a small tattoo of a lotus flower on the upper right side of her rib cage. “fuck, bambi. you all grown up,”
leyna opens her mouth to retort but she shuts it as armando unbuttons his pants.
"you trust me?" armando huffs, he slowly pumps his hardness, feeling pre-cum leaking from his tip.
“of course, i trust you,” leyna replies softly.
“shit princesa. you can’t say stuff like that,” armando murmurs.
he slowly spins leyna around, her back was at his front. he made sure slowly grind his bulge into her, so she could feel all of him.
“soy el rey ahora,” there a slight edge in his voice, it contrasted with the soft circles he drew on the back of her neck. “on all fours, princesa,” leyna obliges. she moves towards the couch, planting herself on her hands and knees, and arches her back. armando groans as she makes a show of it, wiggling her hips in the process. “so pretty liked this. my sweet girl, my bambi, imma fuck the shit out of you,” armando all but growls. a hand reaches into her scalp, fisting her hair. he forcefully tugs at her locks, pulling her head backwards.
leyna whimpers. “baby ‘s rough,”
armando roughly spits on her pussy. he watches as the spit slides down, mixing with her slickness. he’s not nice, not like before. all the care and attention he paid towards her pussy, that armando was long gone. now, replaced with a meaner, tunnel-vision armando. he pushes himself, filling her to her hilt, his stretching out her pussy, all of ridges of his dick rubbing against her gummy walls. she's so warm and tight, a delicious contrast of pushing and pulling him further inside of her. a chill runs down leyna's spine while her manicured nails claw at the fabric of the couch.
“oh fuck!” leyna shouts, armando smacks her right ass-cheek. he executes a few shallow thrusts, barely moving in and out of leyna.
“how bad you wan’ it?” armando drawls.
“so bad baby, please fuck me, please,” leyna’s hoarseness sounds ethereal to him. the breathy way she sounds, the want, the need, makes him even harder. so much so it pains him.
“i got you,” armando tightens the hold he has on leyna’s hair and hip. he pulls all the way out, admiring the mess his girl makes on his dick. the glossy shine the covers him. he stifles back a moan, her warmth and softness send waves of pleasure straight to his dick. he bites down on his lip, watching leyna’s ass ripple against him with every stroke. a bolt of electricity shoots through him as she clamps down on him, her walls tighten, and grip at his dick. she's close.
"i feel you, you cumin' bambi?"
“y-yes, oooh fuck! i’m so close. don’t stop,"
a loud chiming erupts over the sex sounds leyna makes. armando can feel a vibration in his pocket. he reluctantly reaches and sees who’s calling his phone, he answers, while still keeping a steady pace. pumping in and in out of leyna.
“fuck, you want,” armando growls, one hand on the phone while the other holds onto leyna’s shoulder. she moans a little too loud, so he covers her mouth. over the phone one of sebastian’s groomsmen informs that sebastian has wandered off with one of the strippers, no one can find him and he’s left his phone behind. “fuck me. fuckin’ pendejo, i-i’ll be over in a minute, shit,” armando slows down his pace before pulling out completely, leyna whines at the loss of contract.
“i gotta go,” armando sighs. leyna now sits facing him.
“but why? what’s the matter?” his heart pangs at the disappointment that edges out in her voice. he quickly redresses, buckling his pants and slipping his shirt back over and on.
“a situation came up,” he leans down and kisses her on the cheek. “imma come an’ find you,”
without another look or word, armando walks out of the v.i.p. with a hard dick and an odd feeling panging in his chest.

This Was Never Meant to Be What It Feels Like
A/N: Hey y'all! I'm not really a writer so this is my first time posting any writing here on Tumblr, but I'm apparently incapable of not thinking about Armando (*Whatta Man by Salt-N-Pepa plays in my head) so this kind of...happened. I figured I'd share ☺️ Also, I know Armando thinks Aretas is his dad in the movies but I changed it a bit.
Title is from Satisfaction by SiR (if you haven't heard it do yourself a favor and go listen)
Pairing: Armando Aretas x Original Female Character
Fandom: Bad Boys Movies
Prompt: Shay (OC) wants to get to know Armando better and figures her best bet is to ask when he's...relaxed.
Warnings ⚠️: Uh...complicated parental relationships. Talk of smut, but no actual smut.
“Tell me something.”
“Hm?”
Shay kept her focus on drawing invisible shapes on Armando’s shoulder with her finger. Her blue stiletto shaped nails going down almost to his elbow before finding its way back up to his collar bone. It was something she did often after they had sex and she knew it calmed him much like it was now. His breathing had slowed into something calmer than the frantic breaths of ten minutes ago when he was trying to catch his breath. The open window blew in a decent ocean breeze, adding to the peaceful feeling in her bedroom. She tried to play it cool, like she wasn’t disturbing the moment, wasn’t asking him to do the one thing she knew he hated - opening up.
Shay had been seeing Armando for about three months now, and she knew next to nothing about the man. She knew it was a red flag, hell she knew he probably wasn’t a law abiding citizen, but she couldn’t help it.
There was something so magnetizing, so sensual about his presence. He commanded attention even though she got the feeling he wanted nothing more than to blend in and be lowkey. She couldn’t help but notice the way he held himself, the way he spoke and moved with the confidence of a man who was sure of himself. Don’t get her started on the way he smelled - it was divine and pure man.
The point was basically this - he was a ten but he refused to tell her more about himself.
Shay was determined to get to know him better, because despite playing things close to his chest, she was in love with him. She didn’t know his last name, but she knew he would bring her flowers and food if she was having a bad day just to make her smile. She didn’t know what he did for a living - honestly, part of her was glad for this if it was illegal as she was imagining. Plausible deniability. - but she knew if she needed him to, he would fix anything she needed him to or at least find someone who could. She didn’t know what his crucible entailed that made him like this, but she knew he loved her like she was something precious.
So she was taking the risk that this would blow up in her face. “Tell me something about you that I don’t know.” She kissed his chest, like she was softening the blow of the question. Not that she needed to, it was an open ended question on purpose. The more freedom she gave about the topic, the more likely he was to answer.
He gently shifted her to the pillow as he lifted himself on his elbow, facing her with a suspicious look on his face. “Like what?” God, what she wouldn’t give to take whatever hurt that made him so distrustful of her just wanting to know him away. Who had betrayed him? Who took advantage of his trust and made him so wary of genuine love?
She thought over her answer, a million topics coming to mind but needing to pick one that wouldn’t have him shutting down immediately. Armando had let the conversation start but he could end it if she said the wrong thing.
“Your family.” She could feel him pulling away as if it was physically happening so she quickly explained her choice. “Did you grow up with siblings? Are your parents married?” Bare minimum.
It seemed to have worked he looked at her as if debating what to say, if anything, before laying back down and staring at the ceiling. The relaxed man that was in her bed mere minutes ago, gone. Now he was tense, as if ready for a fight. She slowly and obviously resumed her previous position on his chest, giving him time to tell her no if he needed the space. Her nails went back to their drawings in the hopes of calming him enough to talk. He took a breath before, “I grew up an only child. My mom was my world, she taught me everything I knew.”
Her nails stopped moving. “Was?” It was the word that caught the most of her attention out of everything he just said.
“She passed away a few years ago.” His face was blank, as if he was just stating a fact of life rather than talking about the death of the person that raised him and whom he clearly loved.
Shay rubbed the shoulder she wasn’t laying on in an effort to comfort him.“I’m sorry to hear that.” Armando shrugged it off but she could tell it still hurt him. “What about your dad?”
“Our relationship is…complicated at best. He wasn’t around for most of my life. We were introduced a few months before my mom died. I didn’t even know who he was to me until my mom told me on her deathbed.”
“You never asked your mom about him before?”
“If there was one thing I knew about my father growing up, it was that my mom hated him. She always told me that he left us behind and didn’t look back at all. As a kid I was curious but as I got older, I started to hate him too. I mean he was supposed to love my mom, and he turned on her and left me behind like I was trash. Fuck ‘im. Now I know it wasn’t so black and white.”
“How so?”
“The few times my mom spoke about him, she always heavily implied that he knew she was pregnant with me and left anyway. Looking back, she never said the words. When I confronted my father about it, he said they were a doomed couple that wasn’t ever going to last. They were both too selfish. Said he didn’t even know she had been pregnant until we met.”
“Sounds like he cares. I mean if he knew do you think he would have been around?”
“There’s no doubt in my mind he would have been there, raised me. I know he loves me, that he just wants what’s best for me, but I’m just having a hard time accepting it. I spent so much time hating him that reconciling this truth with this perception I’ve always had of him is hard.”
“Not to mention it means confronting that you didn’t know your mom as well as you thought you did. The woman she was to you isn’t the woman she was to others.”
“And she’s not here to explain it, which just makes me mad all over again. He’s usually the target of my anger.”
“Makes sense to me.” She shrugged in response to his questioning look. “He’s here. Add in the fact that he wasn’t there for so long its easy to blame him for a lot.”
“Yeah,” he agreed.
Like a flip had been switched, he once again moves her onto the bed and hovers over her.
“Enough about them. Talking is not exactly what I had in mind for us tonight,” he pleads.
She could see the desperation and fear in his eyes. She had a feeling that being that honest with her scared him. He wasn’t exactly the vulnerable type and telling her all this put him on display in the most raw way, an unknown for him. It also meant he had to be honest with himself about he felt, something she didn’t think happened a lot. He wanted to escape the real hurt he was feeling about it all, he didn’t want to face what the truth might mean for his memory of his mother. If a reprieve is what he needed, she could do that for him. She would do that for him.
She bit her bottom lip, looking at him through her lashes, feeling herself get wet at his suggestive tone and slight touches. “What did you have in mind?”
❤️🔥❤️🔥
The next morning she woke up alone, his side of the bed cold. This wasn’t an unusual occurrence as he often left before she woke. She was used to him leaving and coming back randomly, sometimes being gone for days. After their conversation and the way he seemed to just need her last night, she figured this was coming. Something told her him leaving was different this time, that she had pushed him too far. She had the sickening feeling that he wasn’t coming back.
Round two had been fast and rough, needy in a way. Round three had been teasing and playful, like he was apologizing for being so rough before. Round four was…slow and passionate, reverent almost.
It felt like a goodbye.

Why?! 😭 @episodes-ff
Forevermore
Armando
Taking another swig, I clenched my jaw as the burning Don Julio glided effortlessly down my throat. Staring at the mess around me, I shuffled my feet groggily to go answer the ping of the annoying doorbell. Opening the door for Mike and Marcus, I turned back toward my liquor cabinet ignoring their concerned words as I popped the cap. “Armando! I know you fucking hear me.” Mike spat as I eyed him carelessly. “Why are you here?” “Dee sent us here to make sure you were ok since you weren’t picking up her or Papi’s calls. She was ready to file a missing persons report.” “Oh now she gives a fuck?” I gritted cursing her in Spanish as I trekked to my couch to have a seat. “Look, man, imma give you some privacy and space, but please check in so they know you’re safe.” “Why the fuck should I? I’m a grown man, I can take care of myself.” “I’m just tryna help, don’t be like that.” “I don’t need your fucking help.” “Whatever, we tried, Mike. Just leave his stinking ass alone. You need a damn shower. Fonky ass.” Marcus ranted as Mike sighed signaling for them to exit while I swallowed the brown liquor and silently cried.
**THE DAY BEFORE**
5:35 PM
Just finishing up my paperwork from today’s case, I once again pulled the ring box from my pocket and admired its beauty and color as it related to my woman. Diamonté is just that for me. A woman. Not preoccupied with the trivial bullshit or drama that comes with life. She makes me want to grow for her, be better for her and our son and any future kids. She’s my happiness. I feel whole with her and I hope she’ll complete me further and take this ring. Smiling, I wiped a stray tear before interruptions of a throat clearing woke me from my daze. “Nice ring. You got something you wanna ask me?” Mike smiled as I chuckled at his joke. “I’m gonna ask her to be my wife tonight.” I confirmed causing his immediate smile.
Gesturing for a genuine hug, I got up and met his arms as he laughed and patted my back. Taking a step back to ogle me, he rubbed my shoulder in appreciation as he spoke. “I know we aren’t the closest and we might be new to this father and son relationship, but from the the bottom of my heart I’m really proud of you, Armando. Forreal, man.” Feeling the sting of tears in both our eyes, we shared another warming embrace before he released me to retreat home.
Walking inside her house, I kicked my shoes and walked upstairs to greet mi familia as they playfully danced and laughed. “No, mommy, like this!” Papi chuckled showing her some dance on TikTok that they called tripping out. Watching her struggle to get it, I chuckled making my presence known as AJ ran to me. “Daddy, come come! You have to try this dance!” Setting my bags down, I watched in amusement as he showed me the mysterious dance he so excitedly wanted me to learn. Sticking my arms high as he instructed, I thrusted my hips awkwardly to the beat as she covered her mouth in laughter. “Sí? Like this?” I asked biting my lip and feeling the rhythm. “Maybe next time, papa.” He chuckled moving me away before I picked him up tickling his sides.
9:51 PM
Stepping out of the steaming shower, I wiped off the fogged mirror and took a deep breath as my nervousness increased. Tonight’s the night, Armando, you got this. I coached as I rolled on my deodorant and threw in a few hits of her favorite cologne. Cleaning up my facial hair, I gelled my hair back and put on my chain before heading to the closet to get dressed. Buttoning up my shirt, I fit my suit on before securing the ring to my jacket pocket. Grabbing the car keys, I got in my car and rode back to her house to pick her up. Wish me luck…
Sitting across from her at dinner, I kissed her hand as I took in how delicious she looked tonight. “You look so beautiful, bebita.” I simpered leaning in to steal a kiss from her as she blushed. “Thank you, baby. And thank you so much for this. I really needed it.” “I know, baby, has everything been ok?” “Yes, really wonderful actually.” Smiling, I kissed her once more before we placed our orders for tonight. Sharing in laughter and conversation over our meal, I got more and more nervous as time progressed to the big moment. “Are you for dessert, mi corazón?” “Mmmhm, I want a big slice of you.” She purred leaning in to nibble on my neck perfectly basking in our private quarters. “Not just yet, my love. But trust me, I’m more than yours.” I groaned against her lips.
Watching the waitress smile as she set the dessert on the table, I bit my lip as I watched her turn to face the plate as it read ‘Will You Marry Me?’. Looking up in confusion, she covered her mouth in shock as I got up from my seat to kneel in front of her at the table. “Diamonté, you’ve made my world so peaceful and special. Being with you is one of the biggest blessings to my life. I don’t know what I would do without you and Papi and I never want to know a lifetime without you two. I love you more than I can even say but this is the best way I can say it. Will you marry me, baby?” I asked taking hold of her shaking hand as I pulled out the ring. “Oh my god.” She cried as I caressed her cheek. “What do you say?” I waited nervously for her answer. “I-I…” Snatching her hand away, she ran away crying as I slowly stood in disbelief.
11:08 PM
Furrowing my brows, I fought my anger and hurt as I squeezed the box in my hand and contemplated chasing after her. Feeling in my gut that it would be best to do the opposite, I flagged the waitress and paid for our meal before trekking to my car and sitting in silence. Watching her come out from the restaurant in tears, I felt my heart start to soften before remembering prior events and throwing back on my veil of anger. Getting in the car, I pulled off in silence on the way back to her place. “Arma-“ “Don’t.” I spat coldly swerving through traffic to get her home and far as I can away from her. Crying softly to herself, I gripped the wheel as I focused further on the road.
Pulling into her driveway, I reclined into the seat staring out the window as she sniffled. “Will you please just le-“ “Did you even fucking love me, Diamonté? Huh?! Were you truly in love me at all? Or were you just looking for a father to your kid?” I ranted coldly as my blood boiled recalling everything I’ve ever done for her. Gasping, she smacked her full force across my face. Shaking with rage, I watched her grabbed her purse and step out. “I always fucking loved you, Armando, HOW DARE YOU!?! You never even gave me a chance to explain and now paternity is being called into question?! Are you fucking serious right now?! My answer was yes, but looking back maybe it’s right that I didn’t say anything. Go to hell!” She seethed breaking my spirit and ego as she slammed the door causing the window to shatter. Skidding off without a word, I wiped my teary eyes as I felt the gravity of my actions collapsing on me. “FUCK!!!!”
Diamonté
Running into the house, I kicked my shoes off my aching feet as I wept and ran upstairs. Bolting into the bathroom, I emptied the rest of tonight’s horrific dinner into the toilet bowl and continued crying my makeup off. “So much for a fucking surprise!” I cried in agony as I silently thanked God that Mike was watching AJ so he wouldn’t see me this way. Tonight was supposed to be so wonderful and not just for the goddamn proposal. For once I was in a beautiful place in my life with my intelligent little boy, the man I loved, and the news that I was once again carrying his bundle of joy. Now I feel anything but as I continue to throw up and cry wishing I was on the deepest corner of Earth away from him. I had it all planned on how I thought it would go. I even told Mike so that he and his wife Christine could watch Papi for the rest of the week while we celebrated our triumphs. So fucking much for a plan.
Finally gaining the strength to get up from the toilet, I wiped my mouth and brushed my teeth before ridding myself of my dress and makeup. Warming a bubble bath, I set up my phone on the speaker and slowly descended as the beautiful vocals of Jhené Aiko attempted to serenade me out of heart break. Bathing myself as I could do nothing but cry, I released the bath water and put on some fresh chill clothes before leaving to go collect my baby from Mike’s. I needed my child at this moment.
Pulling into his driveway, I knocked and waited patiently. Watching him open the door in confusion he hugged me before addressing me. “Heyyy what are you doing here? You’re supposed to be celebrating.” “Is AJ asleep? I came to pick him up.” I said weakly. “U-Uhhh yea I’ll go get him.” “Thank you.” I mumbled trying not to cry. Standing at the door as I didn’t wanna intrude, I watched Mike carry out my sleeping angel in his superhero pajamas. Taking hold of him, he stirred a little before looking up. “Mommy?” “It’s me, baby boy. I’m right here, go back to sleep.” I smiled rocking him in my arms as I turned to leave. “Hey, Dee, wait up.” “Yes?” “Look, I don’t know what all is going on with you and Armando, but just trust God and give it some time. Try calling him tomorrow ok?” Nodding as fresh tears cascaded yet again, he gently hugged me before kissing AJ’s head and helping us situate in the car. Paying him appreciative words, I waved goodbye as I pulled off and headed back home. So much for a plan.

𝐀 𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐋𝐏.
-> synopsis: Where armando calls you to warn you that you have trouble coming you way and to go hide somewhere safe. Little do they know, you can do more than hide.
-> warnings: spoilers for bad boys ride or die, mentions of violence.
[🕷️] author’s note: thanks for requesting, hope you enjoy!
Your first encounter of Armando was when he was released to be the new member of AMMO to repay his debt to the state for his crimes. He walked in with his father, Mike, in an alluring manner. You was a helper for the team, however currently unemployed. Failing to find your place in society.
The mexican-born male wore a black co-ord , tight to his chest and flattering in all the right places. His hair slicked in gel, the sides of his head faded with a scar at the side of it.
You both grew quickly closer, spending each day with each other even with the stares of judgement people descended onto you.
“He has killed countless people.”
“He’s a criminal, they should lock him up and throw away the key.”
“Armando Aretas. The animal who should be put down.”
It did hurt you for a while, leading you to deny your feelings for him. Until one day, after a passionate night with him, you tried to briskly leave in the middle of the night.
“Where are you going?” The males voice croaked out, his voice deeper than usual due to the vocal cords enlargement throughout the night.
“I need to go home, i’ve spent too long being here.”
A scoff is heard.
“Yeah. No surprise there. Running out of excuses are you?”
“ Its not an excuse i just have something to do at..”
“Guárdalo, solo vete. Te han lavado el cerebro las opiniones de otros y no quiero escucharlo más. Ahórrame los detalles.” Venom dropped off the latino’s tongue as he dismissed you away. Sadness overcame you as no words came out of your mouth.
Days went by, Armando never spoke to you. Tension flushed by you guys whenever you was by each-other in a room. One day, you couldn’t handle it no more and you grabbed his arm, forcing him to turn and look at you.
“I’m sorry. You’re more than just an animal or a criminal. I know i don’t even deserve for you to forgive me but i need to get this off my chest. I am so sorry Armando.”
You feel his arms engulf you in a hug as tears roll down your cheeks, embarrassed at how easily influenced you were from everyone’s opinions. “no llores mi amor, I forgive you.”
𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐏.
“Hey guys, we’ve got trouble.”
Armando’s shoes pounded down the wooden steps as he swiftly walked to Dorn’s computer, his nerves rising as he sees the blonde’s frantic typing on the keyboard below. “What’s wrong?”
The cameras on the computer pointing to every angle in your house, yet, 3 armed men slowly creep up to the front door. Ready to raid, they point their rifles towards the door. “Tenemos que tomarlos ahora!” One masked man, whisper shouts in spanish, their emotions covered but their body language is prevalent. He is tense.
Dorn shifted his position to turn to Armando, his brows furrowing, “Are these your people?”
He shook his head, “No.”
Time stood still before he realised the severity of the situation, rushing over to the phone he picks it up and rapidly taps your contact. “Mierda! Pick up the phone..”
A few seconds of beeps echoed around the room, the only thing filling the air of silence. “Baby, what’s wrong?”
“We have no time. Take Uncle Marcus’s wife and go hide. Now.” His words dropped with warning as he kept it short and sweet.
Your eyes widen as you hear his stoic words. Quickly whipping your head to the side, you gather your godmother and hide in the closet. A loud bang blasts through the room as footsteps clatter along the floor, moving in a tactical fashion as they scan the house for people. Armando quickly runs to the cameras, looking at the masked men quickly run through the house, weapons pointed at every angle. “Fuck..”
A moment passes and you slowly slip past the closet door, gripping your fingertips on the cold, wooden pane, you slide by the counter and quickly exhale. “Lord, please protect me.”
The woman slowly slides her hand up the counter top, reaching for a knife before calculatedly turning left while peeking around. A second passes before you see an outline of a shadow descending down onto you. Slowly looking up, you see a gun pointed towards you. “Shit.”
With a quick whisk, you slice the knife through his leg, the man drops down and shouts in pain as you slit the masked man’s throat. Taking his gun, you push forward back into the living room where the rest of the men were. Angling yourself, you shoot the man in the corner before whipping the man in front of you with the rifle.
“Damn, that bitch can fight.”
Randomly another man whisks you around, taking you in a loose headlock. The sound of a gun goes off and the man falls back in anguish, brushing yourself off you turn around and shoot him in the head.
A quick moment goes by and by the end of it, all men are dead. The carpets and floorboards stained with a crimson red as you pant for air. You quickly run back to the closet, “it’s safe now. let’s go.” You say to Marcus’s wife, embracing her in a hug before you both hurry off.
Not before, you look up at the camera and smile. Blowing your pointer and middle fingers to represent a gun, before winking.
“You’re welcome.”
The male turns to the rest of the crew and grins, followed by a slow whistle.
“Seems like we know what she does after all.”
𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒:
“Guárdalo, solo vete. Te han lavado el cerebro las opiniones de otros y no quiero escucharlo más. Ahórrame los detalles.” - Keep it, just leave. You've been brainwashed by the opinions of others and I don't want to hear it anymore. Spare me the details.
“no llores mi amor” - Don’t cry my love.
“Tenemos que tomarlos ahora”: We have to take them now.
“Mierda!” - Fuck!

Wicked Game - Armando Aretas
Armando Aretas x Black! OC (Helena)
warnings : descriptions of blood, injury
Helena wakes up with a start, heart thundering in her chest, the digital clock reading 3:00 am on her nightstand illuminating her otherwise pitch black room. She can’t parse what pulls her awake until she hears it again. A thud, the sound of various things tumbling to the ground coming from outside her door.
She creeps up slowly from her bed. Eyes wide, she fumbles around her bedside table until her hands clasp around her keys, and the attached pepper spray. Cringing at the way the metal jingles in her hand, she makes her way to the door.
Apprehensively, she steps out and flicks on the light, baring her spray.
What she sees draped over her couch makes the keys drop to the floor, the loud clatter echoing throughout the room.
He's dressed in black, like usual. His left arm, bloody and tightly gripping his side. His typically golden brown skin has taken on a pale ashen color.
For a moment she’s frozen, fear and confusion keeping her rooted to the floor.
Then she hears Armando’s low, pained groan and is spurred into action.
_____
She remembers the first night she’d seen him all too clearly. His first fight in the Pit, the well guarded, hidden sub level of Spades, the nightclub Helena bartended at.
She hadn’t been paying much attention to the fight, but when a hush fell over the rowdy crowd Helena took notice.
The image of him was forever burned into her memory, this stranger towering over the Destroyer, the club’s reigning champ, a man likely twice his size and weight, immobilized at this newcomer's feet.
He stared out into the crowd, his searching glare inexplicably finding Helena. She sympathizes with the man at his feet. She too is frozen under his heavy gaze.
He seemed relatively unscathed apart from the blood leaking from his bruised nose, marring his pristine teeth when he smiled at her.
“You know him?”
Javier, Helena’s friend and the club’s owner, questions from beside her, breaking the spell she seemed to be under.
“No,” she replies, then shakes her head, as her voice is lost under the thundering cheers that erupt as this stranger is named victor.
He’s around much more after that. She learns his name quickly.

Withering Petal (Armando x OC) Bad Boys Chapter 7
Chapter 7
Amora and Bowser came back to the car 40 minutes later, finding Armando leaned back in the seat with his arms crossed behind his head and his small shirt riding up. She settled in the car and pulled off to find a store to get some clothes and necessities for Armando.
The ride was in a comfortable silence until Armando spoke up.
“Why’d you tell me that? What you said earlier?” Amora stole a long glance at him before turning back to the road.
“Should I regret telling you that?” She questioned him back at him.
““No.... I’m just curious; it was very trusting of you,” he said, pulling his seat back up and looking at her.
““I figured it'd help make sense, since I told you about Victor and... I don’t know if it felt right or relieving, I guess.”
She admitted it, and it did. She hasn’t spoken to many people in years, and she’s never told anyone about her situation—well, except one—in fear that they might’ve been working with Victor.
““So what happened when your parents died? What are you hiding from?”
She pressed her lips against all the questions he was throwing out, feeling a bit too vulnerable.
“If you were there when the cops brought down James, how’d you escape?” She ignored his questions and flipped them on him. She didn't feel ready to answer all his questions, and he wasn’t the only one who wanted answers.
He sat there silently, a blank look on his face as he looked out the window, debating whether he should answer her. But out of respect for her confiding in him, he knew it couldn’t hurt, and he figured she wouldn’t go running to the cops with all the chances she had.
“I was helping them,” he stated, seeing her head turn to him in surprise.
““They allowed you to do that? but why?”
So he started telling her the whole story of when Mike and Marcus came to the prison for help since he could identify McGrath from previous encounters with him and how Mike let him escape, avoiding the mention of his relation to the detective.
Amora listened intensely, letting him tell the whole story, but it was just one thing she was confused on.
“So I believe you, but one thing I still don’t get is why they would let you go. Why not just send you back to prison?”
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw that Armando was tensed. He hoped he was going to be able to avoid telling her this information, but it seems she was able to catch the missing details. He clenched his jaw, almost feeling as if his mouth couldn't move, but he let out a big sigh, his eyes rolling to look outside the window as he answered her.
“He’s my father.”
Amora felt her mouth drop as she took her eyes off the road to look at him in shock. But he quickly looked back at the road, hearing a car horn, and swerved them into the right side, making Bowser whine as he slid in the back seat and Armando's quick glare at her reaction.
““Sorrrryyy! So sorry!” She cringed, apologizing to the car she almost hit and to her passengers.
““You’re his son?? Well, damn, that’s a plot twist." She told him, still in shock, but more questions popped into her head, the word spewing out of her mouth.
“So how come he doesn’t work on clearing your name? Why are they still posting you as a fugitive if you helped? Does he know where you’re at? Are you going to go to him when you’re healed?”
All the questions Armando had no answer to. He truly doesn't know; he felt lost, like a little kid. After busting his mom out of jail, everything just got weird and confusing. Even though it was years ago, he never healed from it. Could he even recover from something like that?
He doesn’t know, but one thing he did know was that he didn’t want to go back to Mexico, nor did he want to be part of that world again; it’s only going to lead him back to prison, which he never wants to go back to.
Is his father clearing his name? He could laugh at that. Even though he was there for him like he said he would be, he was still a cop and wouldn’t fight against the justice he knew he deserved for gunning down all those men five years ago.
““I don’t know” was the best answer he could give. A silence took over them again, and he looked out the window, seeing them pull up to a small shop.
Amora stopped the car and looked at Armando, thinking about the words she was going to say.
““I know we don’t know each other or even fully trust each other, but you’re welcome to stay... at my home, until you figure out what you’re going to do.”
The two stared at each other deeply, one hesitant and the other intrigued.
““Why would you do that?” The question came from Armando, wondering why this woman would offer that. Is she trying to set up a plan to get him caught? Who willing offers a fugitive a space to hide?
"Well, you helped take down McGrath, and for that, I’m thankful, especially after his betrayal of my parents, and you don’t seem to like Victor either, so I know you’re not going to help him find me; at least I hope you won't.”
Armando scanned her face, looking for any signs of dishonesty, but the dark beauty looked at him with those beautiful dark brown eyes, not hiding any of her feelings or intentions.
He nodded slowly at her and said, “Thank you.”.
She nodded back in response, slowly blinking before unbuckling her seat belt to get out of the car.
“Stay here; I’ll come back with a hat and sunglasses so you can get stuff you need from the store,” and with that, she was out of the car, leaving him and Bowser alone.
He looked back at the schnauzer, who was already looking at him. His snout slightly pulled back, releasing a soft growl. Armando rolled his eyes and picked up the treats Amora left in the cup holder, throwing two treats for the dog, who immediately ate some and looked at Armando with puppy eyes, whining for more.
“Quizás no eres tan malo” (Maybe you’re not so bad), he said, throwing the pup one last treat and turning back in his seat, waiting for Amora to come back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The rest of the day went smoothly; they came back to the house carrying multiple bags filled with clothes, necessities, and groceries.
“I’ll get started on making dinner, and after we’re done, I’ll take a look at your wounds to make sure they’re healing and to change the bandages.”
Amora spoke while flying around the kitchen, putting things away. Armando nodded and took his bags of stuff to go shower and change.
30 minutes later, he came back into the kitchen, sporting a black tank top and brown cargo pants. The aroma of food hit him, causing his stomach to growl at the smell.
It’s been so long since he’s had a home-cooked meal and actual real food; at prison, they only gave him questionable meals.
Amora glanced at him with a satisfied look on her face as she scanned over his new simple clothes and went back to cooking the food on the stove.
““Can you grab the plates from that cabinet? The food will be done soon.” She nodded her head at the cabinet next to her. He walked next to her, grabbing the plates out of the cabinets, and she got a whiff of him, her eyes almost rolling to the back of her head. He smelled so delicious. She unconsciously leaned into him—nothing more she loved than someone who smelled good.
““Where’s the silverware?”
Armandos asked, close to her, making her jump out of her thoughts, and she scooted away from the man beside her, realizing she got so close to him. ““Uhm, its in the drawers by the sink,” she pointed to the far left corner.
He walked away, leaving Amora with her thoughts. She eyed him wearily as he walked away and started to set up the table. She quickly looked towards the stove wall, scolding herself for what she’s doing. “Don’t go around getting attached, girl; have you not learned nothing?” She reprimanded herself; she wanted to smack herself but refrained, not wanting to look desperate and crazy.
She was physically attracted to him, no doubt about it; she can’t help that, but the last thing she needs is her emotions getting attached to him like some schoolgirl.
The last time that happened, she was betrayed, and that hurt her deeply, and she’ll be damned if she allows that to happen to her again. She’s older and not as naive. It won’t happen again, she told herself sternly.
She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn’t smell the smoke coming from the stove until the flames burst in front of her.
““HOLY SHIT,” she lept back, quickly trying to remove the pan holding the burnt peppers she was sautéing.
Hearing her yell, Armando immediately ran over, pushing Amora behind him, trying to fan out the fire, but all it did was make it bigger until Amora came back over with a fire extinguisher.
““Move the pot!! ” She yelled, making sure at least their main dinner wasn’t going to be ruined.
Amora pulled up the extinguisher and basically emptied the can on the fire. Once she decided that was enough, she looked around, making sure Armando was okay. locking eyes with each other, and out of both of their surprise, Amora started laughing. It started off small but quickly transitioned to her holding her stomach bent over, laughing, tears streaming down her face.
Armando let out a few of his own chuckles, but he was soaking the image of her in. She looked so gorgeous and so carefree. This whole time, he’s only ever seen her so serious, sad, and lost. He wanted to see more of this version of her.
Amora laughed, subdued into giggles, and finally stopped, a small smile resting in its place. Allowing the energized peace to wash over her. A feeling she hasn’t felt in a long while.
“I can’t remember the last time I laughed like that,” she beamed, but realizing what she just said made her a little somber. And just like that, the peace was fleeting, and the reality of her life came crashing down.
““I can’t remember ither." Armando agreed, wanting a way to bring that smile back to her face.
““At least the main dinner wasn’t burned,” he said, holding up the pan. A small smile was back on her face at the good news, and she quickly took the pot out of his hands to fix their plates.
Amora quickly brought the plates to the dining table, sliding Armando’s plate to him first, then setting her own.
“Before you eat, I just want to bless the food real quick,” he gave her a hesitant nod, and she quickly prayed over the food, parting with a quick Amen before digging in.
He watched her dig in, and he looked at his plate, seeing that it was some kind of chicken pasta. He smirked and cut into the food and brought the fork up to his mouth, and he felt his body explode with warmth.
Letting out a deep groan of satisfaction, Armando began stuffing his face, as if he hadn’t eaten for years.
The sound caught Amora off guard, crossing her legs. Ignoring the flutter in her lower stomach, and continued taking small bites of her own food while watching the man devour his plate.
“Would you like a second plate? She was impressed with how clean the plate was in less than 5 minutes.
He nodded quickly, and she got up, grabbing his plate to serve him another.
““How long have you been in prison again? She asked him as she walked back to the diner table.
”5 years”
“Wow, that kind of explains your reaction, but I’ll just take it that my food is very good,” she half joked with him.
He quirked his eyebrows at her newfound sense of humor. “ “It was very good, but I couldn’t help but notice you made'marry me chicken’. Is there something I should know, mi amor?”
Amora wanted to fall into a puddle. Equally from the embarrassment of the meal name, but also from how he taunted her with that smooth voice again.
““Yes, you should know that I don’t like you calling me that, and I was planning on making this before you intruded,” she played off, trying to regain the small confidence she had.
""Anyways, if you’re done taunting me, I need to check on your wounds.”
He smirked at her, getting up from the table to clean his plate before going to the guestroom and brushing past her. She waited till he was out of the kitchen to do the same, trying to catch her breath that kept running away from her whenever she was close to that man.
“What have I gotten myself into?” She muttered out loud, following the man to the room.
Fandom: “Bad Boys” Film Universe
Pairing: Armando Aretas + Female Reader
Main Storyline: While Mike, Marcus, and Armando stay on the run, this large-scale bounty hits South Beach, launching drama. @yassbishimvintage @nelo0wesker
=====
2024
Nathan Caldwell took charge throughout Miami and soon became known underground as The Ghost. Rarely seen, but still drifting somewhere.
“Thought you don't party anymore?” You motion for Nate to move closer and your rump perches on his leg.
“Can't dance without my favorite girl…” Nate whispered between spotlights.
There's almost no other room to sit down in the section because Tabitha arrived with loud energy and trailed this neon crew, infamous for years.
“Hold up.” Nate checked this phone once you sat beside him and rested your head on his shoulder.
5 million dollar bounty?! 💸
The text message pinged all around and voices mumbled, quietly seeking three targets:
Detective Mike Lowrey, his partner Marcus Burnett, and criminal Armando Aretas!
“Nobody should swing yet.” Nate quickly warns you.
Even Tabitha brings up this random conversation to avoid giving motives away.
Holding back laughter, you still recognized three fugitives. Lowrey, Burnett, and Aretas look ridiculous wearing these unexpected outfits.
“Damn! What happened? They stepped out of the mud.” Nate slips through chuckles and briefly points you toward Armando.
Wearing this Bud Light shirt, Armando chose one trucker that veiled his eyes.
Dirty jeans covered both legs as he found one of the final overlooking seats. Older boots stepped along.
“We need different clothes, a new ride, and some phones.” Mike and Marcus volleyed requests near Tabitha.
“Yeah. Guns, too.” Armando jutted his chin and mentioned weapons.
Just when Tabitha would keep running her mouth as usual, Armando leaves his spot, walking toward you and Nate.
“Hey!” Mike and Marcus catch the sight together, but Armando doesn't care, intrigued by you.
“Sup, man?” Nate glances toward Armando and stands up first, protective of you no matter what
“Who's that?” Armando still noticed your own face.
“None of your business.” Nate won't reveal your true identity.
“Don't get shot, motherfucker!” Marcus yelled out of nowhere to Aretas.
“Shut up, Marcus!” Tabitha revealed her gun and you followed everyone else in defense.
“Should've kept sitting down.” Nate pointed his firearm toward Armando, ruthless. “The bounty is dead or alive. Don't be stupid.”
Before Armando leaves with Lowrey and Burnett at gunpoint, Aretas locks eye contact with you.
Your heart dropped.
Bad Boys — Legacy pt 1/?
No clue how many parts this is gonna be, just running on vibes
Warnings = blood, violence, cursing
Rated R
The first light of dawn stretched over the Miami skyline, painting the horizon with streaks of gold and crimson. A thick mist hovered over the water, shrouding the old dock in a cloak of shadows. On the weathered planks, a group of Cuban men stood in tense silence. Their faces were hard, eyes sharp, scanning the area for any sign of trouble; dressed in dark suits that clung to their muscular frames, the sheen of expensive leather shoes glinting with each subtle movement.
At the center of the group stood a man whose very presence commanded respect. He was tall, with broad shoulders and an air of authority that was undeniable. His suit was a shade darker than the rest, almost black, tailored to perfection. A blood-red tie stood out against the crisp white of his shirt. His hair slicked back with precision, and a thin scar ran down the side of his face.
The soft hum of an approaching ship broke the silence. All eyes turned to the water as a large freighter, its name obscured by rust and age, glided into view. The ship's engines rumbled low, echoing through the stillness as it came to a slow stop at the dock. A moment later, the creaking of metal rang out as the gangway was lowered, and from the bowels of the ship, men began to emerge. They were a stark contrast to the polished appearance of Vargas and his crew. These men moved with the silent, practiced steps of those who lived in the shadows. At their center was a figure that drew every gaze, even from those who were trying not to stare.
He was a mountain of a man, standing nearly a head taller than the others. His skin was a canvas of ink that told a story of violence, loyalty, and survival. The lines and shapes crawled up his neck and over his bald head, a mix of intricate designs and symbols that marked him as someone who had seen the inside of more than one prison. His eyes were dark, almost black, as they scanned the dock with a cold, calculating detachment. He wore a simple black hoodie and cargo pants that allowed for easy movement. His look was nondescript, designed to blend in yet his sheer size and the aura of danger made him impossible to ignore.
The tattooed man stepped off the ship, his heavy boots thudding against the dock. He paused, waiting as his men, similarly dressed in muted tones and rough fabrics, spread out in a wide formation, creating a perimeter around him.
Vargas took a step forward, his eyes narrowing as he appraised the newcomer. Despite the size of the man before him, Vargas showed no sign of intimidation. He extended a hand, the gesture formal, but his expression was anything but friendly.
"You're early," Vargas spoke in Spanish, his voice a low growl, thick with a Cuban accent.
The tattooed man did not immediately respond. Instead, he reached up, slowly pulling back his hood to reveal a face that was a patchwork of scars and faded ink. His lips curled into a smile that didn't reach his eyes.
"We don't like to keep people waiting," he replied, his voice a deep rumble, carrying a hint of an accent that was difficult to place, yet held Hispanic origins.
For a moment, it seemed as though the air itself had thickened; suffocating. Neither man moved, each waiting for the other to make the first gesture.
Finally, Vargas broke the silence. "You have what we agreed on?"
The tattooed man's smile widened just a fraction. "It's all here," he said, gesturing to the ship behind him. "But first, I want to see your end of the deal."
Vargas nodded, a brief, curt motion. He turned to one of his men, who quickly opened a large, steel case at his feet. Inside, stacks of cash were neatly arranged, the crisp bills reflecting the early morning light.
"Everything as promised," Vargas said, a note of pride in his voice. "Now, let's get this done."
The tattooed man's eyes flicked to the case, then back to Vargas. For a second, something like amusement flashed in his gaze before it vanished, replaced by the same cold indifference.
"Let's," he agreed, his tone almost mocking as he moved toward the ship.
The tattooed man turned on his heel, walking back up the gangway and disappearing into the shadows of the ship's hold. Vargas and his men watched him closely, their hands inching toward their concealed weapons, ready for anything. After a few moments, the tattooed man reemerged, carrying a large black duffel bag slung over one shoulder. He descended the ramp with deliberate slowness. When he reached the dock, he dropped the duffel bag at Vargas's feet with a heavy thud. The sound echoed through the stillness, but Vargas remained unmoved, his expression hardening as he glanced down at the bag.
"That's it?" Vargas asked, his voice dripping with disdain. "This is what you bring me after all the promises? This... pathetic little bag?"
The tattooed man's jaw tightened, a flash of irritation crossing his face. He folded his arms across his broad chest, his eyes narrowing as he locked gazes with Vargas. "If you want more, you need to pay more.” he shrugged coldly. His voice was low, a warning that Vargas would have been wise to heed.
But Vargas was not a man to be threatened. His lip curled into a sneer as he gave a slight nod. In an instant, his men raised their weapons, the clicks of safety switches echoing in the quiet morning rays. Rifles and pistols were now trained on the tattooed man and his crew, fingers itching to pull the triggers.
"I don't think you understand how this works," Vargas said, his voice a deadly whisper. "You don't get to dictate terms here. I paid for a full shipment, not some half-assed delivery. Now, give me the rest of the supply, or I'll take it myself-starting with what you owe me."
The tattooed man remained still, his expression unreadable as he glanced at the weapons now aimed at him. He didn't flinch, didn't blink. Instead, a dark smile crept across his lips.
"You think you're in control, don't you?" he murmured, almost to himself. Then, louder, he added, "You talk a lot for someone who doesn't know what he's dealing with."
Vargas's eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Don't play games with me. I know you're not the real leader here. You're just the muscle—the errand boy. I want to talk to the one in charge. I want to talk to—“
Vargas's words were cut off by the sudden, sharp crack of a gunshot. The sound shattered the morning calm, reverberating off the dock and across the water. For a split second, time seemed to freeze. Then, as if in slow motion, Vargas's head snapped back, a single bullet hole appearing dead center between his eyes. The shock in his expression remained frozen on his face as he crumpled to the ground, lifeless.
Blood sprayed in a fine mist, some of it spattering across the tattooed man's face. The Cuban leader's men stood in stunned silence, their weapons still raised, but now useless in their trembling hands. The tattooed man didn't so much as blink as the blood dripped down his cheek. Without a word, he knelt down beside the fallen body of Emilio Vargas. The once-proud tyrant now lay in a growing pool of his own blood, eyes vacant, staring up at the dawn sky. The tattooed man reached into the dead man's jacket pocket and pulled out a crisp, white handkerchief. He unfolded it with a flick of his wrist, wiping the blood from his forehead with calm precision.
Rising to his feet, the tattooed man glanced at the remaining men, who were still frozen in place, their weapons slowly lowering as the reality of the situation sank in. He turned back to the ship, wiping the last remnants of blood from his cheek as he spoke, his voice laced with irritation. "You sure took your time making your entrance."
From the shadows of the ship's hold, a figure emerged, his presence immediately commanding. He was a tall, imposing man, his frame exuding both power and control. He wore a sleek black leather jacket that clung to his muscular build, the fabric smooth and unblemished, reflecting the dim morning light with a subtle sheen. Matching black gloves encased his hands, the leather creaking softly as he recalibrated the weapon he had just fired. His thick, jet-black hair was slicked back, not a strand out of place, and his skin was deeply tanned.
As he descended the gangway, each step deliberate and measured. The men on the dock, both his own and the remaining Cubans, seemed to instinctively straighten. There was no doubt in anyone's mind now—this was the man in charge, the true leader of the Cartel. Reaching the bottom of the gangway, he looked down at the lifeless body of Emilio Vargas, his expression unreadable. He tilted his head slightly, as if considering the scene before him with mild curiosity, then spoke in a calm, almost casual tone. "He wanted to speak with the leader," he said, his voice carrying a faint accent that hinted at his origins but remained elusive. "So I took that as his last dying wish." He shrugged.
The remaining Cuban gang members began murmuring to each other in rapid Spanish, their voices a mixture of panic and defiance. Their weapons rose once more, but their hands trembled, betraying their fear. They were outnumbered and outclassed, and they knew it.
The dark-haired leader turned to tattooed one, his expression softening only slightly as he placed a hand on his shoulder. "Handle the nuisances, Alejandro," he said, his tone both an order and a display of trust.
Alejandro nodded, understanding the unspoken command. He turned to the group of Cuban men, his eyes narrowing as he assessed them with the cold precision of a predator sizing up its prey. Without hesitation, the men under Alejandro's command moved into action, their weapons firing with deadly accuracy. The sounds of gunfire echoed across the dock, mingling with the cries of the Cuban gang members as they were cut down one by one. The air filled with the acrid scent of gunpowder and blood, the once-peaceful dawn now shattered by violence.
The dark-haired leader didn't bother to watch the carnage unfold. He turned his back on the scene and began to walk back toward the ship, his posture relaxed, his hands casually slipping into the pockets of his leather jacket.
As he reached the top of the gangway, he paused for a moment, looking out over the city of Miami as the first rays of sunlight began to pierce the horizon. A faint smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. This was only the beginning. The real work was about to start, and soon, the entire city would know who truly controlled its streets. He disappeared into the ship's hold, leaving the chaos behind him, confident that when he emerged again, Miami would be his for the taking.
Mike gripped the steering wheel tighter than usual, his knuckles faintly turning white as he navigated the streets of Miami. The late morning sun cast a golden glow over the city, but inside the Porsche, the atmosphere was anything but warm.
Armando sat in the passenger seat, his posture rigid, his eyes fixed out the window. His expression was neutral, unreadable. Behind him, Marcus was wedged in the backseat with Reggie, both of them doing their best to pretend the tension wasn't thick enough to cut with a knife. Mike stole a glance at Armando, struggling to find the right words. He'd rehearsed this moment a dozen times in his head, yet now, everything he wanted to say seemed to evaporate into thin air. "So, uh..." Mike started, his voice low and hesitant, "you catch that game last night?"
Armando turned his head slightly, just enough to acknowledge Mike's attempt at conversation. "No."
Silence. Mike's jaw tightened as he searched for something, anything, to keep the conversation alive, but Armando's single-word response shut it down cold. The young man returned his gaze to the window, clearly uninterested in continuing.
From the backseat, Marcus watched the exchange unfold, his mind racing for a way to ease the tension. "Hey, nephew.” Marcus began, leaning forward slightly, "Can I call you that?” He began, “It’s nice to finally have someone I can say that to, you know?”
Armando turned slightly to the older man across him, his gaze indifferent and unreadable as Marcus continued to ramble. “My sister, Syd—ah Sydney, had a daughter last year, so I got a niece, but Mike and I have been like brothers since forever. My kids call him Uncle Mike, always have. He's family, you know?"
Armando's expression remained impassive, but his brows knitting together slightly. The word 'nephew' hung in the air. Marcus caught the look and felt a momentary twinge of regret.
"But hey," Marcus hurried to add, sensing his first attempt was a miss, "you don't have to call me Uncle Marcus or anything. It's just a formality, really. I mean, Mike never had kids, so I couldn't have a nephew until now, but that doesn't mean you have to, uh..."
"Okay," Armando interrupted, his tone flat. He turned back to the window, clearly done with the conversation.
Marcus blinked, his enthusiasm deflating like a balloon. "Okay," he echoed softly, his voice barely above a whisper. He leaned back in his seat.
In the silence that followed, Reggie shifted uncomfortably beside Marcus. He glanced at Mike, then at Marcus, and then back again. Finally, he cleared his throat, setting his gaze on Mike, trying to lighten the mood. "Since I'm Mr. Burnett's son-in-law, Sir, does that make you my uncle too?"
Mike and Marcus both turned their heads sharply, their voices overlapping in an unplanned chorus. "Shut up, Reggie!"
Reggie nodded in understanding before he slouched back into his seat, clearly regretting his attempt at humor. The car returned to its strained silence, the only sound the hum of the engine and the soft whir of the air conditioning.
The silence persisted as they arrived at the police precinct, the car's tires crunching over the gravel before Mike parked in his usual spot. The four of them stepped out, the Miami heat wrapping around them like a blanket. Mike adjusted his sunglasses, his jaw set in that familiar hard line, while Marcus stretched, rolling his shoulders as if trying to shake off the uncomfortable ride.
Armando followed Mike's lead, his face betraying nothing as he took in the precinct. He hadn't been here before, so the place felt foreign, like walking into enemy territory. Reggie brought up the rear, locking his hands behind his back and trying to blend into the background as they made their way inside. As they entered the precinct, the atmosphere shifted. Conversations dimmed, and the once-busy hallway grew quieter as officers and detectives turned to stare at Armando. Mike felt the weight of the stares as if they were aimed at him, too.
"Eyes front, people," Mike muttered under his breath, but he knew it was a futile command. Everyone knew who Armando was: The man who killed Captain Howard. The son Mike didn't know he had until it was almost too late. The kid who went from enemy to something...else.
Armando's reputation walked ahead of him, clearing a path through the crowd, but it wasn't respect that parted the sea of officers. It was fear, suspicion, maybe even hate. Mike could feel it, and he knew Armando did too. Marcus tried to deflect some of the tension by nodding at familiar faces, offering a few quick hellos, but it was like trying to stop a flood with a sponge. He could see the wariness in their eyes, the way they glanced at Armando and then away, as if looking too long might invite trouble.
Marcus glanced at Armando, then at the officers, and leaned in closer to Mike. "Man, you'd think they'd never seen a drug dealer before," he whispered, trying to sound casual.
Mike gave him a look, a silent warning to drop it. This wasn't the time or place to make light of the situation, not when the past hung over them like a storm cloud ready to break. They finally reached the glass conference room in the narcotics division. The door was slightly ajar, and Mike pushed it open without hesitation, leading the way inside. Rita was already there, her expression serious, though a flicker of something softer crossed her face when she saw Mike. She stood at the head of the long table, her crisp suit a stark contrast to the informal tension they carried with them from the car. Beside her, Dorn nodded in greeting, his usual stoic demeanor in place.
"Detectives," Rita greeted them, her tone professional but warm. Then her eyes shifted to Armando, and the warmth cooled, replaced by something more guarded. "Aretas."
"Captain," Armando replied, his voice even, giving her a respectful nod. But there was no warmth in his tone, just the acknowledgment of her rank and position.
Rita's gaze lingered on him for a moment longer before she looked at Reggie. "Officer Burnett," she greeted, her tone slightly less formal, almost as if she was relieved to address someone without the baggage.
"Captain Secada, ma’am" Reggie replied, throwing in a small salute that made Marcus roll his eyes.
"Man, I'm never going to get used to you changing your last name." Marcus comments before leaning back in his seat.
"I find it rather respectable that he didn't pressure Megan to change her last name and changed his instead." Rita nodded, returned a half-smile before getting down to business.
Everyone took their seats around the table, the tension lingering like a storm cloud. Dorn, ever efficient, moved to the side and retrieved a single folder, placing it directly in front of Armando. The half-Mexican man eyed the folder for a moment before flipping it open. His eyes scanned the first few lines, and Mike could see the muscles in his jaw tighten as he absorbed the contents.
Rita, watching Armando closely, began to speak, her tone measured and precise. "The folder contains the terms of your contract with the District Attorney. You're here because Detective Lowrey"—she glanced at Mike—"convinced the DA that you're no longer a threat, but an asset. Your expertise in the underworld is invaluable, and that's why we've offered you this deal."
Armando didn't look up as she spoke, his focus still on the document before him. Mike knew what was going through his son's mind; he could see it in the slight twitch of Armando's brow.
"The terms are simple," Rita continued, her voice carrying a note of finality. "You'll work as a consultant for AMMO for the remainder of your prison sentence. For every case you help us close, your sentence will be reduced. However, during this time, you'll be under 24/7 surveillance, as if you were still in prison."
Finally, Armando looked up, his expression unreadable. His eyes flicked from Rita to Mike and then to Marcus, who sat stiffly in his chair.
"Detective Burnett," Rita continued "has agreed to open his home to you during this time. The DA felt it would be too unreliable for you to stay with your father." Her eyes flicked back to Armando, gauging his reaction. "This is a controlled environment. We can't afford any slip-ups."
Armando's gaze shifted to Marcus, who gave a small smile, but made no attempt at humor—just an acknowledgment of the reality they were all in.
Dorn stepped forward, a metal case in his hands. He placed it on the table in front of Armando and flipped the latches open. The case clicked, revealing a sleek ankle monitor nestled inside.
"This," Dorn began, his voice low and authoritative, "is your new accessory." He stepped back, nodding to Rita, who took over the explanation.
"You'll be wearing this monitor at all times. It's calibrated to track your whereabouts within a specific zone in the greater Miami area." She motioned to Dorn, who pulled up a projection on the screen behind her. A map of Miami appeared, with a large circle indicating the designated area. "This is your boundary. Step one foot out of this zone, and every patrol car in the area will be notified and instructed to arrest you."
Armando's eyes flicked to the screen, his face remaining stoic as he took in the information.
"You get three strikes," Rita continued, her tone firm. "Three violations, and the deal is off. You'll be sent back to prison to serve the remainder of your sentence. No appeals, no second chances."
The room was silent for a moment as the weight of Rita's words settled over them. Mike watched Armando closely, wondering what was going through his son's mind. He knew this wasn't the life Armando had imagined for himself, but it was the only path forward now.
Armando finally leaned back in his chair, his eyes meeting Rita's. "I understand."
Rita nodded, seemingly satisfied with his response. She glanced at Mike and Marcus, then back to Armando. "Good." Rita nodded to Dorn as he stepped forward, picking up the ankle monitor from the case. Armando watched him, expression neutral, as Dorn knelt and fastened the device around his ankle.
"This monitor is tamper-proof.” Dorn stated, “It's been calibrated to send an alert if it's removed or tampered with in any way." Armando remained silent, his face a mask of indifference as Dorn secured and activated the monitor. "If that happens, you'll be treated as an escaped convict and hunted down accordingly. You're also restricted from engaging in any unsanctioned activities, which include but are not limited to: contacting known felons, carrying unauthorized weapons, or entering areas flagged as high-risk for narcotics activity—those will get you strikes. Understand?"
"Sí," Armando replied, his voice clipped but clear.
"Good." Dorn handed Armando a pen, pointing to the necessary sections in the contract. "Sign here, here, and here."
As Armando began to sign, Mike stood and moved toward the door, catching Rita's eye. She raised a brow but followed him out of the room. Mike closed the door behind them, ensuring they were out of earshot of the others.
"Rita," Mike began, his voice softening, "I just wanted to thank you for helping me get Armando this deal. I know it wasn't easy."
Rita crossed her arms, her expression serious but not unkind. "Michael, you should be thanking Judy Howard. It was her testimony, along with Callie's, about how Armando saved her life that made the DA even consider giving him a chance."
Mike nodded, acknowledging the truth of her words. "I know, and I have. But I also know that your reputation, your standing as the Captain of the narcotics division, made a difference. Your dedication to protocol and procedures is what convinced the DA to let Armando stay here in Miami, instead of being shipped off to some precinct in the middle of nowhere."
Rita's tough exterior softened slightly, and she allowed herself a small smile. "I'll take that as a compliment. But remember, Michael, this is still a gamble. Armando's got a lot to prove."
Mike followed her gaze back into the conference room, where Dorn was pointing out the sections Armando needed to sign. "I know," Mike said quietly.
Rita nodded, her expression thoughtful. "But I can see the good in him. He just needs the right guidance."
Mike looked at her, his expression softening with affection. "And I can't think of anyone better for that job than you, Captain." Mike grinned, stepping closer to her, his voice dropping to a lower, more intimate tone. "It's a good thing Armando has the chance to work under such a dedicated Captain. Someone who'll keep him in line."
Rita's smile widened, her eyes flicking up to meet his. "Keeping Armando in line won't be easy. He's a lot like his father, unfortunately."
Mike's gaze locked with hers as the distance between them shrank. "Is that right?" he murmured, inching even closer.
But before the moment could go any further, a sharp rap on the glass pulled them both back to reality. They jumped apart, turning to see Marcus standing on the other side, knocking on the window. Through the glass, his voice was muffled but still clear enough. "Hey, Mike, we're gonna show Armando around the station."
Mike sighed, annoyance flickering across his face. He waved Marcus off, trying to salvage the moment. "Go ahead without me, man."
Marcus gave a thumbs-up, not oblivious to the tension he'd just interrupted, but turned back to the room, leading Armando and Reggie out.
Mike turned back to Rita, attempting to pick up where they left off, but she had already taken several steps back. The flirtation in her eyes had cooled, replaced by her usual professionalism.
"I'm late for a meeting," she said, her tone polite but firm. "We'll catch up later, Mike."
"Rita, wait—" Mike started, but she was already halfway down the hall, her heels clicking against the tile floor as she made her exit.
Mike watched her go, a mix of frustration and admiration in his expression. He ran a hand over his face, letting out a slow breath.
The neon lights of Eclipse flickered, casting vibrant hues of pink, blue, and purple onto the sidewalk where a line of eager patrons stretched down the block. Among them were four teenagers, standing out just slightly due to their awkward mix of confidence and trepidation. The two boys, tall and lanky, wore their best attempts at looking mature, sporting button-down shirts and jeans that fit just a bit too loosely, while their dates were dressed to impress.
Zach, the taller of the two, kept running his hand through his hair, trying to look nonchalant as he leaned over to his friend Tyler. "Just play it cool, man. We're in."
Tyler nodded, though the slight tremor in his voice betrayed him. "Yeah, no sweat."
On the other side of the boys stood Madison and Hannah, the girls' heels clicking softly on the pavement as they shuffled forward with the line. Madison, with her confident smile and perfectly styled hair, was the picture of excitement, craving the thrill of sneaking into a place where they clearly didn't belong. Beside her, Hannah clutched her tiny purse a little too tightly, her eyes darting nervously to the bouncer at the door.
"I don't know about this, Maddie," Hannah whispered, her voice tight with anxiety. "These IDs are trash. We're gonna get caught. My dad will kill me if he finds out."
Madison rolled her eyes, though there was affection in her tone. "Relax, isn't your dad out of town for another week? And besides, all you gotta do is act natural. Mature." She threw a playful smirk at her friend, who didn't look convinced.
Hannah bit her lip, casting another glance at the bouncer, a hulking figure whose muscles seemed to strain against his black T-shirt. "What if he asks questions? Or calls the cops?"
"Hey, come on. We didn't get all dressed up just to bail now." Madison looped her arm through Hannah's, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "You've got this. Just follow my lead."
The line inched forward, and suddenly they were next. The bouncer, with his stern gaze and clipboard, motioned for them to approach. Madison stepped forward first, handing over her ID with a smile that bordered on flirtatious. "Good evening."
Hannah let out a frustrated sigh at what her friend considered 'mature', but followed suit; though her hand shook slightly as she handed over her ID. The boys did the same, standing a little taller, a little straighter, as if they were trying to will themselves into adulthood on the spot.
The bouncer scrutinized the IDs, his brow furrowing as he flipped them over, once, then twice. Hannah's heart pounded in her chest, her nerves making her feel faint. She could practically feel her father's disappointment and the grounded-for-life sentence he'd no doubt hand down already.
But just as the bouncer looked ready to ask a question, a loud shout came from behind him. Two men burst out of the club, fists swinging as they grappled with each other, knocking over a trash can and sending a cascade of bottles clattering to the ground. The bouncer turned, momentarily distracted by the commotion.
"Hey, knock it off!" he barked, stepping away from the teens. He waved them on without another glance.
Madison nudged Hannah, a triumphant grin on her face. "See? Told you it'd be fine."
Hannah could only nod, her pulse still racing as they slipped past the distracted bouncer and into the club's pulsating interior. As the heavy bass of the music washed over them, she let out a breath—her nerves slowly giving way to the thrill of the night ahead.
The sun dipped low on the Miami skyline, casting the city in hues of burnt orange and deepening shadows. The late evening air was thick with humidity, seeping into the black interior of Mike's sleek Porsche as it glided through the streets. Inside, the atmosphere was stifling in more ways than one. Mike's hands gripped the steering wheel, his usual swagger muted by the tense silence that had settled between the four men.
It had been a long day, most of it spent at the precinct acclimating Armando to his new role. The morning and afternoon were a blur of briefings, introductions, and tense meetings. Armando had been called upon to weigh in on several current narcotics cases—mostly low-level operations that wouldn't normally warrant attention. But that was the point. These cases were a test, a way for the team to gauge Armando's trustworthiness and see if he could be relied upon for accurate intel. He'd done his part, offering insights and identifying key players with a level of expertise that even the most seasoned detectives had to respect. Yet, despite the productive day, the air between him and the rest of the team was still thick with unspoken mistrust.
Marcus sat in the passenger seat, his eyes darting between Mike and the rearview mirror, where he caught glimpses of Reggie and Armando in the back. Reggie, who sat directly behind Marcus, stared out the window, while Armando, seated behind Mike, kept his gaze fixed straight ahead, his expression unreadable. Marcus fidgeted with his phone before finally clearing his throat. "So, uh, Armando, Theresa called me earlier. She wanted to know if you liked smothered chicken." He forced a grin, trying to inject some warmth into the moment. "She's makin' it for dinner tonight to welcome you to our home."
Armando, finally turned his head slightly, his voice flat and accented as he replied, "Never had it."
Mike glanced in the rearview mirror, catching Armando's eye for a brief moment before returning his attention to the road. "Trust me, man, Theresa makes the best smothered chicken. Ain't nobody do it like her."
Marcus nodded eagerly, "She's got this special gravy, right? Learned it from her grandma. It's somethin' else, man. You won't find anything like it anywhere else."
Reggie, who had been silent up until now, leaned forward, "Is Miss Theresa gonna be makin' quinoa with the chicken?" Reggie asked, his voice almost casual.
Marcus whipped his head around to stare at Reggie, his face twisted in a mix of confusion and mild disgust. "Quin-what now? What the hell is that shit? And why would you even think that goes with smothered chicken?"
Mike smirked, glancing at Marcus out of the corner of his eye. "Quinoa, man. It's like rice, but healthier. High in protein, fiber—good stuff."
Marcus wasn't having it. He threw his hands up in the air. "If he wanted rice, he should've just asked for rice! Why you gotta complicate things with some fancy shit nobody asked for?"
Reggie shook his head. "I don't want rice, sir. I want quinoa."
Marcus looked ready to argue back, but Mike cut him off, "Man, you really should be eatin' quinoa. It's good for your blood sugar, helps with cholesterol, and it lowers the risk of heart disease."
Mike put particular emphasis on the last part, and Marcus immediately bristled. "Oh, here we go," Marcus muttered, rolling his eyes. "I'm the picture of health, Mike. I don't need no damn quinoa."
"Alright, show of hands. Who here has *not* had a heart attack in the last five years?" Mike took one hand off the steering wheel, raising it high.
Reggie raised his hand as well, throwing a cheeky grin in Marcus' direction.
There was a moment of silence as all eyes turned to Armando, who had been watching the exchange with quiet interest. He hesitated, clearly uncertain whether he should join in on the banter or keep his distance. Mike caught his eye in the rearview mirror, a small, encouraging smile tugging at his lips.
"Come on, man," Mike urged. "You got something to tell me, or what?"
Armando glanced at Marcus, who was glaring daggers at Mike, then slowly raised his hand, a reluctant grin finally breaking through his stoic expression.
Mike let out a whoop, the victory sweet on his tongue. "There we go! Three to one, joker. You're outvoted."
With a defeated sigh, Marcus slumped back in his seat, facing forward once more. "Theresa better not be makin' no damn quinoa."
Hours passed in a blur of pulsing lights and thumping bass, the night fully enveloping Eclipse in a haze of sweat and alcohol. The four teens had long since shed their initial nerves, now fully immersed in the wild energy of the night. At their table, a collection of empty shot glasses bore witness to the evening's indulgence.
Maddie and Hannah clinked their glasses together, giggling as they downed another shot of tequila. Hannah, who had started the night tightly wound and wary, now felt a warm, buzzing sensation coursing through her veins; leaving her feeling light, carefree, and, for the first time all night, fully present. She swayed to the music, laughing freely as Maddie cheered beside her.
"Best night ever!" Maddie shouted, her words slightly slurred, but her excitement unmistakable.
Before Hannah could respond, Tyler stumbled over to their table, his eyes wide and unfocused. "Yo, guys," he started, a grin plastered on his face, "some dude just gave me this." He held up a sleek, black vape pen as if it were a trophy.
Zach raised an eyebrow. "What's in it?"
Tyler shook his head, his movements loose and uncoordinated. "No idea, man. Took a couple of hits, though, and it's way stronger than any drink we've had tonight."
Maddie reached out for the pen. "Let me see that."
But Tyler quickly pulled it back, wagging a finger at her. "Nah, the guy said you gotta get your own. But he's over there if you want one." He pointed across the dance floor to where two men dressed in all black were seated in a booth mostly obscured by the crowd.
Even through her drunken haze, Hannah felt a flicker of hesitation. "I don't know about this, Maddie," she muttered, though the sharp edge of her earlier fear was dulled by the alcohol.
Maddie, unbothered by Hannah's uncertainty, waved her hand. "If you're that worried, just stay here. I'll get us both one."
Hannah watched as her friend sauntered over to the men, her confidence unwavering even in her slightly tipsy state. From her spot at the table, Hannah couldn’t make out the words exchanged over the blaring music, but she noticed how Maddie gestured back towards her at one point. One of the men, his chest exposed by a loosely buttoned shirt, turned to look directly at Hannah, a strange smile playing on his lips. She noted the wings inked across his skin, barely visible under the dim lights.
After what felt like an eternity, Maddie returned, stumbling slightly on her heels as she handed Hannah a vape pen identical to the one Tyler had shown them. "Here you go," she said with a smirk. "The guy said this one's just for you."
Hannah frowned, her earlier apprehension returning for a brief moment. "Why would he say that?"
Maddie shrugged, unbothered. "Probably thought you were hot or something. Who cares? Let's just enjoy it."
The two girls walked back onto the dance floor, joining the swaying mass of bodies as they each took several huffs from their pens. The vapor filled Hannah's lungs, a strange but not unpleasant taste lingering on her tongue. The effects hit almost immediately, her entire body warming with a comforting, almost overwhelming heat. The warmth spread from her chest outwards, melting away any last traces of anxiety, leaving only a sense of blissful euphoria. Hannah felt herself floating, the world around her softening into a dreamlike haze. The lights danced in time with the music, every beat sending a ripple of pleasure through her body. She grabbed Maddie's hand, laughing as they spun together, the club seeming to pulse with life.
Everything felt perfect, the night a brilliant kaleidoscope of color and sound, until suddenly, the heat in Hannah's body began to intensify, shifting from pleasant warmth to an unbearable burning. She felt herself begin to sweat, her skin clammy as she tried to focus on her friend.
"Maddie, I—" Hannah reached out, but her words died in her throat as Maddie turned to face her.
Blood poured from Maddie's eyes, staining her cheeks with crimson tears. She opened her mouth to speak, but only a wet, gurgling sound came out before she began to cough violently. Her body convulsed, her limbs jerking uncontrollably until, with a final, shuddering breath, she collapsed onto the floor.
Hannah's mind refused to process what she was seeing. It had to be the pen, or the alcohol, or maybe just a twisted dream. She couldn't move, couldn't think, as she stared at Maddie's limp form, her eyes wide with shock. Around her, the nightmare only deepened. The same grotesque scene began to unfold with others nearby; people screaming as blood poured from their eyes, noses, ears, and mouths; their bodies seizing before crumpling to the ground. The music pounded on, deafening and relentless, but all Hannah could hear was the sound of her own ragged breathing.
A wetness dripped from her nose. She touched her top lip, feeling the slick warmth of blood. Her hand trembled as she pulled it away, staring at the crimson stain on her fingers. The pain in her head was unbearable now, like her skull was being split open from the inside. Her vision blurred, the world around her spinning out of control. With a final, desperate gasp, Hannah's legs gave out, and she collapsed beside her friend, the night's horror swallowing her whole as the darkness claimed her.
Mike eased the car into the driveway. The ride had become quiet as the banter died down, but a weight had been lifted from the air. As soon as the car came to a stop, Reggie was out, eager to determine just which side would be accompanied with dinner. He gave Marcus a quick nod before heading to the front door. Marcus followed, keys already in hand, ready to step into the familiarity of home.
But Mike stayed put, watching as Armando unbuckled his seatbelt and stepped out into the warm Miami evening. Mike took a deep breath, then reached for the trunk release. The click of the trunk opening broke the silence as Armando walked around to the back, retrieving his bag. The sound of the trunk closing seemed to echo louder than it should have in the quiet night.
Mike leaned against the car, his eyes fixed on Armando. "You know this is just temporary, right?" he said, his voice steady but carrying an edge of concern. "A few months of good faith with the department, and I'll see if we can renegotiate your deal. Maybe get you your own place. Or..." He paused, weighing his next words. "You could live with me if that’s what you want."
Armando didn't answer right away. He just stood there, his bag hanging at his side, eyes staring into the distance as if searching for something. When he finally spoke, his voice was calm, but there was a heaviness to it. "I knew what I was signing up for before I came back here. It's all good, detective."
Mike nodded, understanding the burden Armando was carrying. He wanted to say more, to offer some kind of reassurance, but instead, he forced a small smile. "Come on, let's get inside before Theresa has our heads for letting dinner get cold."
Armando gave a small nod, his grip tightening on his bag as they headed toward the house, the warm glow of the porch light guiding them to the doorstep. As Mike and Armando stepped into the house, the first thing they heard was a chorus of voices shouting in unison, "Welcome to Miami!" The sudden burst of sound startled both men, causing them to glance around the room in surprise.
Before them, a group stood grinning beneath a banner that read "Welcome Cousin Manny," the letters becoming more smushed and chaotic toward the end of the phrase. Theresa was front and center, her warm smile a beacon of welcome. Beside her stood Megan, Marcus's daughter, with a little girl who couldn't be more than one perched on her hip. The toddler, with big curious eyes, clung to her mother's shirt, looking at the newcomers with quiet interest. Reggie was flanked by two boys who looked like they were ready to burst with excitement.
Marcus moved forward first, his usual swagger tempered by the genuine warmth in his eyes. "Welcome, man," he said, clapping Armando on the shoulder before gesturing to his wife. "This is my better half, Theresa."
Theresa stepped up with a welcoming smile, her hand extended. "It's great to finally meet you, Armando. Welcome to the family."
Armando shook her hand, feeling a little overwhelmed by the warmth of the welcome. "Thank you," he said, his voice soft, but sincere.
Theresa nodded, then gestured for Megan to come closer. "And this is our daughter, Megan, and her littlest one, Amala."
Megan shifted Amala to her other hip and smiled. "Hi, it's nice to meet you," she said, while Amala regarded Armando with wide, curious eyes.
Armando nodded to both mother and daughter. "You too," he said, his gaze briefly lingering on the little girl, who gave a shy wave.
Reggie nudged his boys forward. "Alright, boys, introduce yourselves."
The older of the two, who looked about six, flashed a big grin, showing a very visibly missing front tooth. "I'm Marcus Jr., but everyone calls me MJ," he said proudly. "And this is my brother, Dwayne."
Dwayne, who couldn't have been more than four, stared up at Armando in awe, his eyes wide and unblinking. There was a moment of silence before MJ, sensing his brother's hesitation, gave him a gentle push. "Go on, say hi.”
But Dwayne had a different question on his mind. "Have you ever killed anyone.” he asked, his voice filled with innocent curiosity.
The room seemed to freeze for a moment, the air thick with the adults' collective intake of breath. "Dwayne!" came the chorus of scolding voices, but Armando simply shrugged, unphased.
"Yeah," Armando answered simply, meeting the boy's wide eyes with calm seriousness.
Dwayne blinked, his mouth slightly agape. "How many?" he asked before Reggie could reach him, covering his mouth with a swift hand.
But Armando answered anyway, his voice steady. "A lot."
Dwayne, his father's hand still over his mouth, managed to pull it away just enough to whisper, "Cool," his eyes still locked on Armando in amazement.
Megan, catching the moment, stepped forward quickly, herding the boys with practiced ease. "Alright, you two, time to wash up for dinner," she said, her voice firm but loving as she guided them toward the bathroom.
As the kids shuffled off, Marcus gave Armando an apologetic smile. Theresa clapped her hands lightly, breaking the moment of introductions. "Reggie, why don't you show Armando to the room he'll be staying in? It's your and Megan's old room."
Reggie snapped into a playful salute. "Yes ma'am," he said with a grin, then gestured for Armando to follow him.
Armando hesitated for a moment, his eyes flicking back to Mike as if silently asking for permission. Mike caught the glance and gave a small nod. Reggie led the way, and Armando followed, disappearing deeper into the house. As they vanished down the hallway, Theresa turned her attention back to Mike and Marcus. "Alright, you two, help me finish setting the table. Dinner's almost ready."
"On it," Marcus said, trailing after his wife. As they moved toward the kitchen, he leaned in closer to her, lowering his voice to a curious whisper. "Hey, babe, you know what quinoa is?"
Mike chuckled at the exchange and was about to join them when the doorbell rang. He paused and called out, "I'll get it!"
Mike strode to the door and opened it to find a young woman standing there, holding a tattered yellow suitcase. She was beautiful, with deep brown hair of twists and single-stranded curls cascading down to her shoulders. Her white and red floral dress, cut off the shoulder and stopping just below her knees, contrasted beautifully against her dark skin.
She wore a polite smile, her eyes warm as she asked, "Is this the Burnett residence?"
Mike took a moment to assess her, his instincts quickly deeming her non-threatening. He returned her smile. "Yeah, you're at the right place. And you are?"
Before the woman could answer, a voice called out from the hallway. "Val?"
Mike turned to see Armando standing there, a look of confusion and surprise on his face.
The woman, Val, however, seemed relieved and stepped into the house, closing the distance between them as she embraced Armando tightly.
Though he hesitated at first, his arms encircled her waist. He leaned in closer to her ear, speaking in a hushed tone of Spanish. "¿Qué estás haciendo aquí?" ("What are you doing here?")
Valerie pulled back slightly, looking up at him with a puzzled expression. She answered in Spanish, her voice at a normal volume. "Terminé el trabajo temprano y tomé un vuelo antes." ("I finished work early and caught an earlier flight.")
Their conversation continued in Spanish, but Mike, who was fluent, caught every word. He watched them carefully, still trying to piece together who this woman was.
As the couple spoke, Marcus reentered the room. "Hey Mike, who's at the—" His question trailed off as he caught sight of Valerie standing there.
Having heard Marcus's voice and the name he called, Valerie turned her attention to Mike. "You must be Armando's father," she said, switching back to English.
Mike nodded, still piecing things together. "Yeah, that's me."
Before he could say more, Valerie threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly. "I've heard so much about you," she said, pulling back slightly to look at him. "Well, as much as Armando is willing to tell me. You know how he is."
Mike smiled, though the confusion didn't leave his face. "Yeah... I wish I could say the same about you."
Valerie chuckled, but as she glanced between Mike and Armando, she began to sense the awkwardness in the room. Her smile faltered, and she turned to Armando, speaking in Spanish again. "¿Le has dicho?" ("Have you told him?")
Armando sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. "No estabas supuesta a llegar hasta mañana por la mañana." ("You weren't supposed to arrive until tomorrow morning.")
Mike, having had enough of the half-whispered conversation in a language he was fluent in, spoke up, his tone firm. "Alright, who is she, Armando?"
Valerie looked at Armando, irritation evident on her face. The silence stretched out before Armando finally sighed again, this time in resignation. He straightened up and wrapped his arm around Valerie's waist, pulling her closer to his side.
"This is Valerie," he began, his voice steady but resigned. "My fiancée."
This Was Never Meant to Be What It Feels Like (Part 2)
A/N: Soooooo I couldn't help myself. Ya'll really showed me love on part one and it encouraged me to write this part. I'll admit this isn't my favorite piece of writing but it's necessary cause it sets up part 3😅 Give me a few days at least for that one though. Hope y'all like it. 18+/Minors DNI
Part 1 Part 3
Pairing: Armando Aretas x Original Female Character
Fandom: Bad Boys Movies
Song I listened to while writing: Back To Love by Robert Glasper featuring SiR and Alex Isley.
Prompt: It's been six months since Armando left Shay but things feel unfinished for him.
Warnings ⚠️: Talk of smut (y'all I can't write that shit, I tried and it was trash so I just talk around it)
Armando was only supposed to be in LA for a couple days. He was still a wanted man and he didn’t exactly enjoy putting himself at risk of being caught, but it was unavoidable. A contact had needed a job done and since being on the run, he wasn’t afforded the option of being picky when it came to money. Besides, Martinez had been helpful in getting him jobs so he considered the extra risk a favor.
Nobody wanted to work with a snitch.
It didn’t matter that the feds had him serving life and he was just trying to survive, hopefully shave off enough time to not die in a cell. He was a rat and had nothing but enemies on both sides. Mierda, his parents had really screwed him over. His mother had ensured he would always be seen as a criminal and his father had ensured every criminal saw him as a traitor. He was destined for a life of solitude.
Then he met Shay.
He had been eating at a restaurant frequented by his target, canvassing the place, when he heard her laugh. Usually he would ignore other patrons as he did his job but there was something so uninhibited about the sound that it captivated him. He looked up to find the source and saw her head thrown back in obvious joy, curly hair flowing freely behind her. Her eyes were damn near shut, smile big and bright.
He was in LA for work but a little play never hurt anybody so he had his waitress send a drink to her and watched as he was pointed out. She lifted the drink he sent in a silent thanks and he raised his glass back, nodding at her with a smirk. He was aware when she had left and he finished his own meal and work soon after. He was unsurprised to find her waiting outside for him. That was the beginning of them.
He had thought once he had slept with her, they would both be satisfied and she’d be out of his system. A win-win situation, truly. But there was something about her that had him acting stupid. After he took care of Martinez’s problem, he laid low for a week, letting the heat die down. When it was safe enough to go back to Mexico, he just…didn’t. Instead he went and found her. He expected to have to work for it seeing as he left in the middle of the night and didn’t call for a week, but she let him back in.
So instead of going home like he should have, like he would have if he was smart, he stayed for her. He knew he should get the hell outta dodge, but he wanted to know her. So he called Martinez and picked up a couple more jobs he needed done out in LA and the surrounding area. When he wasn’t working he learned everything about her like it was his job, careful to never give her any real information, steering the conversation back to her every time. He was enchanted by her beauty, enthralled by her passion. Everything he learned about her got him closer to that dreaded L word.
Then he fucked up.
It had been three months of playing this dangerous game when she asked about him. He kew the day would come eventually when she wouldn’t allow him to just brush off her questions but he was somehow still unprepared and suspicious of her motives when it came. She had asked to know about his parents and he should’ve just fed her some bullshit story but he just got quiet. He realized he wanted to tell her. He wanted her to know him, the real him, and still choose him. So he had told her an edited version of his parents, only to immediately realize his mistake. He didn’t want to, but he was going to have to leave.
So after fucking out his feelings, he left. He went back to Mexico and told himself to forget about her. Except he couldn’t get her out of his head. For six months he was constantly reminded of her. Every woman that flirted with him was compared to her, every one of them coming up short. Every time he smelled shea butter and coconut, he thought of her freshly showered. Every time he needed a release, he pictured her blissed out face, his hand not nearly as good as the real thing. So he did something even dumber than staying in LA for three months.
He went back.
He watched her for a few days, Shay never knowing he was there. He watched as she went out with friends. He watched as they encouraged her when some fucker had the audacity to step to her and flirt. He watched as she went on a date with the man. A better man would have taken that as a sign that she had moved on and he should too, but he never claimed to be a better man. He watched as she gave restricted smiles, restricted laughs and came to the conclusion that this ‘date’ wasn’t doing it for her.
So he left them at the basic ass restaurant the guy chose and went to her apartment to wait for her. He found his way inside like he used to and set up on her armchair, turning on her lamp so as not to completely scare her. He waited almost an hour before he heard her keys in the door.
She clocked the light being on the second she walked in the door.
To prevent her from running and calling the cops because she didn’t know it was him, he spoke, “hola Amorcita.”
“Armando?” She question in disbelief.
He stood and took in his fill of her before telling her what he’d been thinking all night, “you look beautiful. Nice night?”
She shut the door behind her and cautiously stepped past the kitchen to reach the living room. She was still too far, standing at the edge of her breakfast bar across the room. Why wouldn’t she come closer? On one hand, she could be pissed that he left her for six months. Something told him it wasn’t that though. If she was pissed she wouldn’t be trying to keep herself as far from him as possible, as if out of reach. No, instead she’d probably get close enough to slap him. A heartbreaking realization hit him. “Are you afraid of me now, Amorcita?”
Shay stood tall, facing him head on. “Your rap sheet says I should be,” she bit out.
There it was. The confirmation she knew who he was now, that there would be no more hiding behind omissions of truth. He tilted his head in contemplation, “that’s not what I asked.” Was she not phased by who he was? Or was she just biding her time?
When she didn’t say anything else, he slowly walked to her. He could feel the energy in the room shift and amplify. He still wasn’t sure if she was gonna knee him and run or invite his touch. He wasn’t sure if he could take the betrayal from her, but he would understand. Any sane person would run from the likes of him.
When he stood mere inches from her he ghosted his fingers over her arm, noticing her intake of breath. “Are you afraid of me now, Amorcita?” He repeated, his voice barely louder than a whisper.
Shay looked up, her eyes meeting his, “no.”
“Maybe you should be,” he brokenly admitted.
She lifted a hand to cradle his face, “You’ll never hurt me that way.” She said it so surely, as if she could see into him, see his soul. There was no doubt in her voice, her sureness both a surprise that she felt that way and a relief that she understood.
It didn’t escape his notice, however, that she was very distinct in her words. He may not have hurt her physically but he had hurt her all the same.
“I’m sorry for leaving, Alma.” He turns his head to place a kiss on her palm.
She gave him a slight smile. “I get why you did.”
“Doesn’t mean it hurt you any less or make me any less sorry.” He placed his hands on her waist, pulling her even closer, her hands going around his neck. Her scent took over his senses, clouding his thoughts.
She didn’t refute what he said, just reached up to press her lips gently against his in a quiet acceptance. When she pulled back he stared into her eyes, wondering if this was real, wondering how she could be real. He saw nothing but the love he wished he could keep. Unable to stop himself, he drew her in for a longer more passionate kiss. It was slow as if they had all the time in the world, or rather if time and the rest of the world didn’t exist. He hoped she felt the words he couldn’t say aloud.
He felt her hands stop their playing in his short hair and move towards his shirt buttons. Before she got to the first one, he pulled back and held her hands in his own, needing to tell her, owing her and her loving heart the truth.
“I can’t stay.”
Eye to eye, love and determination shining bright in hers, she whispered, “I know.”
From there, clothes shed quickly and they made their way to the bedroom. They both knew this was a goodbye, closure for them both. Their last attempt at an ending had felt lacking, like there was more to be said. This time it was all laid out in front of them. Emotions may not have been said but they were felt and known, the reality of their situation acknowledged.
This time they would both take what they needed, giving them a more satisfying conclusion.
After she fell asleep he fixed his gaze on her white ceiling, wishing things could be different for them, wishing he could stay and give her the life she deserved rather than a few memories she’ll hopefully look back on with fondness. He allowed himself a few minutes more of wishful thinking and soaking in the feeling of being with her. When it came time to leave, he hated himself for it, but he laid her on the bed and quietly collected his things. Finding a pen and a scrap piece of paper, he scribbled out a note for her, leaving it where he should have been laying next to her. He spared one last look at her before leaving her for good this time.
how do you think armando would react if he is in love with the reader, but she shows no sign of feeling the same way, (he's so devoted when it comes to the reader) And he'd like to know if she feels the same as him, I wish it would end in a passionate way (you know what I mean) 🔥
[🕷️] 𝐎𝐍 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒:
᯾ Ever since he first noticed you when meeting the team, it was love at first sight for him.
᯾ He would definitely show how much he’s obsessed with you in implicit ways, not fully going for you as that’s not his personality.
᯾ Would definitely prefer to do things that make you notice him, however, he could chase you if he wanted to.
᯾ He would definitely stare at you in the locker room or on the plane, on the way to whatever location you guys are needed.
᯾ His eyes would start at your legs before slowly glancing up to your lips.
᯾ You already know he’s a playboy just like his dad.
᯾ However, regardless of his obvious interest in you, the feelings wouldn’t be reciprocated.
᯾ Nevertheless, he wouldn’t tease you too much on missions. Not loving you enough to the point where he wants his life to be compromised.
᯾ He always has his eye out for you. Need more ammo? he’s got you.
᯾ Need a cover? He’s got you on that too.
᯾ You couldn’t even hate him, skilled in his fighting he was an excellent addition to the team. The way he effortlessly handled any weapon that was given to him, effectively killing anyone in his path. Giving assistance to anyone within the team, you really couldn’t hate him.
᯾ He knew he was good at what he does too.
᯾ And sooner then later, you’d realise he’s good in bed too.
[🕷️] 𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐓𝐄:
᯾ You hardly talked to him, always avoiding his path.
᯾ Celebratory drinks? On the other side of the table.
᯾ Group talks? You’re never next to him.
𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎𝐎, until you guys saw each other at a club. Neon lights were flashing as people danced and drank excessively. There was you, with two friends, dancing within the crowd. You rolled your hips with the flow of the music, this being an escape from your fast-paced life of being a law enforcement agent.
That was until you saw him, surrounded by men looking like him. Armando’s tan skin and beard being the main thing that stood out. He wore a simple black shirt with tight, slim black jeans. There was a fresh slit in his left eyebrow while his gold cuban chain hung off his neck, slightly longer than shoulder length.
He looked back up, and smirked. Shaking it off, you went back further into the crowd and continued to dance with your friends.
“We’re going to switch it up now, introducing some dancehall! Ladies get ready to whine up yuhself! Men, get ready to catch that whine!!” The DJ shouted over the music before switching up the song.
𝐍𝐎𝐖 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐈𝐍𝐆: 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐄 & 𝐊𝐎𝐓𝐂𝐇 - 𝐉.𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐫𝐢 & 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐘 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊.
Cheers and woos erupted in the building, more people coming to the dance floor as ladies bent their legs and arched their backs, ready to whine their life away.
Your friends started whining and dancing, screaming the lyrics as their body began to move with the music as if they were in a trance.
You decided to do the same, letting loose, you began to put your hands on your knees. Whining along to the music by anyone who pressed up behind you. That was until you felt those hands.
Looking up , you noticed Armando holding your hips, a suggestive look on his face as he controlled every circle and buck of your whine. You hated to say it but he was really skilled.
He didn’t even say anything, just focused on you and the music. Slowly pushing your hair on the left side of your face, his hand creeped up to your neck while the other one was still rested on your hip. His touch igniting a flame of zeal within you, the air between the two becoming hot and heavy.
This was forbidden, two co workers were not supposed to have any sexual relations with each other. Yet, you both did not care. Too overcome with lust and desire.
“Volver a casa conmigo..” Armando whispered in your ear, causing a tingle to happen down there.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
𝐋𝐎𝐔𝐃 𝐒𝐋𝐀𝐏𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐁𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌. Symphonies of groans and moans escaping the two lovers’ lips as they engaged in a heated kiss, fighting each other with their tongue, burning passion radiating off them. The white, satin sheets barely covered the male as he was focused on thrusting into the woman below. His cock pistoned in and out of the woman’s leaking pussy as her legs were up in the air, rocking backwards and forwards as she jolted up and down due to the roughness of her lover’s actions. Her wetness causing a thin coating on his dick.
“Te sientes tan bien amor..” Armando whispered, gently biting on the woman’s earlobe as she moaned in his ear, hypnotised by the feeling of his thick clock filling her up.
The male noticed and withdrew from her earlobe, still continuing the same pace as he held onto her hips but instead he could see the pleasure in her face. Tears of pleasure slowly slid down your face, to the point where you tried to push the male back, to no avail. “You got to take it mamí.”
“It feels too good.. i can’t.”
“Oh yes you can.” Armando grunted. Randomly flipping you over, your face was roughly met with the pillow. The man then started pounding with even more passion as you gasped and whined underneath him. “Just like that Armando..”
Your little comments turned him on more, feeling the reach of his peak coming. Your quiet nature before this now contradicting the lewd activity commencing now. And he loved it. He knew you would eventually come around. “Ah.. ¿Así que tu bonita boca puede hablar?”
Too dazed by the pleasure to understand the sarcasm dripping off his voice, you just nodded. Your hand slowly crawling down to your clit as you rubbed it in desperation. The overstimulation forcing your orgasm to come crashing down before you could even warn him. “Oh my god!”
This caused Armando to absolutely lose it. Your own impulsive decision to coming back to bite you caused him to begin chasing after his own orgasm. Still thrusting while you tried coming down from your own, before pulling out and releasing his seed onto your stomach.
“estás loco.”
“Estoy loco por no amarte antes.”
CHAPTER ONE "KEEP DREAMING"
MIAMI FLORIDA -- 2018
Music vibrated the floors, lights flashing all around as machines released fog into the air. On the dance floor the room was crowded but that hadn’t stopped anyone from having the time of their lives. Above in the balcony, the spacing being booked for whatever event someone had needed it for, on the railing leaned Armando Aretas. A beer in hand, his eyes casted over the crowd. He was an introvert. Anyone who knew him personally, which wasn’t many, knew he didn’t like to come out. But he was Miami and he wasn’t going to exactly stay inside the villa he rented the entire time he was there.
There was business he needed to attend to, clients he needed to see. And one of his cliented ended up booking the VIP section at this club, Zillion. He allowed him to socialize before he got down to the business part of the evening. Armando took his family work very seriously. All he wanted to do was make his parents proud of him, and get them to see that he could take over with no problem.
He took a sip of his drink, eyes still taking in everything around him. Observing it all for himself. It wasn’t until he eyes landed on a figure at the center of the dance floor. She danced with a girl to the music that blasted, hands in the air with her head tossed back allowing him to see her face. Eyes closed, body moving to every beat that she felt, a smile on her face clearly enjoying herself.
Armando couldn’t take his eyes off her. She completely grasped his attention with nothing but a single glance he made. He would’ve continued staring if someone had slapped him on his back followed by a voice close to his ear, “Hey! My man, are you enjoying yourself?!” Armando couldn’t stop himself from rolling his eyes, fighting himself but looking away from her.
“Not as much as you,” Armando found himself responding, turning his head back towards the crowd. Almost like a magnet he found her again, this time dancing with a guy who no doubt came up behind her. He felt heat rise up to his cheek, and couldn’t pinpoint why, or maybe didn’t want to, “Question; you know Miami almost like the back of your hand, right?” he leaned in, whispering to Carlos Guzman, his client.
He shrugged his shoulders, taking a drink from the glass in his hand, “You can say that,” Carlos answered, positioning himself in the same Armando had, forearms leaned on the rail looking down at the rest of the club, “Why? Finding yourself lost? Need more contacts?”
“I might,” Armando brought his bottle to his lips, drinking the bitter beverage, “But firstly, I want to know who she is?” he pointed directly into the ocean of bodies, the spotlight gladly passing over her and her dancing partner.
Carlos followed his pointed finger, “I don’t know everybody,” he speaks, causing Armando to look at him with a raised brow, “But you’re lucky her appearance is infamous; Sybil Burnett,” Carlos confessed with a smirk. Armando seemed pleased with that answer he got, “Beautiful, wild, a real firecracker, but…” he trailed off turning around putting his back against the balcony facing his own circle of people, “She is policia, a real famous Detective in Miami, follows in her father’s footsteps.”
Armando was shocked by this, “She looks no older than twenty five,” he voiced, not hiding his surprise very well.
A laugh came from the man to the right of him, “That’s because she is no older than twenty five,” he revealed, “I went to High School with her, she’s got a bit of a dark side, but always had a dream, and she made sure to follow through with it. She’s got me a few times but let me go and told me if she ever saw some bodies on the street that had anything to do with me and my business then she was gonna lock me up for life. I believe her.”
Armando hummed at that, not a drop of worry filling him, only more interest. He watched as she moved away from the guy, her friend that she had been dancing with prior grabbing her hand and pulling her through the crowd, towards the bar.
Carlos rearranged his positions again, this time facing Armando, “Rumor has it,” he began with a whisper but loud enough for his business partner to hear, “Her father found her on a crime scene, she had no relatives so he chose to take her in as his own. Courageous, I know. Has a bad temper, that one,” he nudged his head in the direction he imagined her to be in, “Let’s have a chat with her, shall we?”
Quickly, Armando snapped his head towards him, “Are you insane? This is a business meeting,” he reminded him, although he forgot himself.
“Yes, and now it’s a chat about a girl you’ve found interest in,” Carlos chuckled, wrapping his arm around Armando’s shoulders, “Don’t worry, we can have a proper business meeting tomorrow night. Somewhere a little quieter.” he assured him before leaning over the balcony, “Burnett!” he called out loudly causing some to look at him but to indeed grab the girls attention, along with her friend. Her eyes looked up towards them, causing Armando to subtly look away. She nodded her head in a what's up motion, “Come have a drink with us! I want to introduce you to a friend of mine!”
She rolled her eyes, turning back to her friend before she grabbed the drink she ordered and headed towards the stairs that would lead her up to their section. Armando’s eyes followed her movement. The way she brushed her hands through her wavy locks, trailing down her body. She wore a black cut out bodysuit, and black jeans that hung around her waist. Compressed gloves went up her arms, her fingers and thumb uncovered.
Armando adjusted himself to stand nonchalantly against the rail as she moved past the few people and coming to a halt, in front of Carlos, “Why am I not shocked you’re here?” she questioned, holding her drink tightly in her hand by the rim.
Carlos shrugged, “Maybe it’s because I know how to live while I’m young.” he answered, reaching down onto the table for a cigarette, “I would’ve thought you’d have an early morning, Detective, why party with us low lives?”
Sybil raised her hands in the air, “Hey, your words not mine,” she defended, “And not all of these people are low lives, you just refer to yourself as such.” Carlos laughed at her words. Sybil shifted her attention over to Armando for the first time since he saw her, her eyes meeting his own, “What’re you doing hanging out with this low life?” she spoke to him, gesturing towards her old classmate.
“I’m still wondering myself,” Armando found himself responding with a smirk.
Sybil smirked, humming softly. Carlos inhaled his cigarette glancing between them before speaking up, “Sybil Burnett, this is Manny Armas, he’s visiting Miami from Mexico,” he kept their introduction brief, even giving Armando a nickname for his own safety. She gave him a two finger salute with a subtle smile, “You should give him a tour around, no one knows Miami like you.”
The woman gave Carlos a look, “Do I look like a tour guide to you?” she questioned, eyes slightly narrowing but her closed mouth smile never wavered.
"Some slutty tour guide, huh?" Carlos regretted his words the moment they came out of his mouth, having forgotten the temper the Detective had.
However, Sybil grabbed the collar of his shirt with her freshly manicured hand, pulling him close enough to smell the alcohol on her breath. Her actions caused men to rise up from his seat at their boss being manhandled, let alone by a woman.
Sybil reached behind him, pulling the Glock that was tucked in the back of her pants, switching the safety off and aiming at the biggest one amongst the circle, "Sit your ass back down or your buddy," she presses the barrel under his chin, "Get's a bullet," with the reluctant assurance from Carlos, he lowers back to his seat, "Now, Carlos, what the fuck did you call me?"
Carlos appeared calm, but he was shaking deep down, "Come on, Billy---"
"Don't call me Billy, friends only call me that."
"S-Sybil, it was just a joke, okay?" Carlos tried to defend himself.
"A joke?" Sybil cocked her head to the side, before she directed her attention to Armando who watched the situation in amusement, "Did you find it funny, Manny?" she questioned him, raising her brow.
He shook his head, "Not at all," he sniggered, taking a sip of his drink.
Sybil focused her attention back on Carlos, "Don't insult me like that again," abruptly, she pulled the gun back, putting distance in between her and him before releasing the chamber and setting the unloaded gun on the table, slipping the clip in her back pocket, "You boys have a good rest of your night," she nodded her head towards Manny, "Nice meeting you."
She made her exit with Carlos' crew watching her leave with a glare knowing that if something did happen to her, or worse if she ended up dead they'd have the entire Miami Police Department on their ass, and more.
Armando couldn't stop himself, he released his laughter the moment Carlos released a heavy exhale in relief, "Not fucking funny, Puta," he cursed him, leaning over with his hands on his knees, "She's fucking crazy." Armando laughed harder at that.
He turned around, facing the throng of dancing bodies. And just like he had before, he found her. Back where she was prior to Carlos inviting her up, she stood at the bar talking to her friend who laughed at what he could only assume what had just happened.
Sybil glanced over her shoulder, lifting her gaze only for her eyes to meet his own. He tipped his beer bottle towards her, causing her to return his gesture with a smile.
Not even an hour had passed since her incident with Carlos and Sybil was ready to go. She had her night of fun, but did need to take the man's words into consideration, she had an early day tomorrow. She walked out of the club, assuring Kelly she could make it to her car on her own seeing as they only met up at Zillion and would be taking their separate ways home.
But the thought of driving when she had already had so much to drink didn't sound right to her. Standing at the edge of the sidewalk, civilians walking past her reached into her little leather black purse on her shoulder, pulling out a pack of cigarettes. Placing the tip of one her mouth, she placed it back blindly feeling around for a lighter but not finding one.
She tossed her head back, groaning in annoyance, "Need a lighter?" a voice came from behind her. One that sounded familiar and like it had when she had heard it for herself the first time, caused goosebumps to rise.
Her head followed the sound, finding Manny Armas standing there in all his glory. A tight white shirt, nearly covered up by his black leather jacket and black jeans. His hair was dark and short, tapered on the sides.
He held the igniter in his hand, taking a step closer to her. Sybil leaned forward allowing Manny to light the cigarette for her. She took a step back, inhaling.
"Thank you," she voiced her appreciation with the smoke still in her lungs before she blew it out in the opposite direction he stood in, "Enough partying with Carlos?" Sybil inquired, having not talked herself off the ledge of starting a conversation with a stranger.
Manny slid the lighter into his pocket, "After you bruised his ego, he decided partying with a bunch of girls who witnessed it was bad enough."
"Maybe next time he'll watch his words," She murmurs, but her voice is loud enough for him to still hear her before she takes another drag, "But he should've seen it coming." Sybil shrugged, composed.
She had known Carlos for a long time, and he should've realized that she didn't take being degraded lightly, even if he had meant it as a joke. Girls had their kinks with it, but she didn't. Sybil knew her worth and wasn't going to let some asshole tear it down just to look cool in front of his friends.
"He doesn't look like he can spot a warning from an inch away from him," Manny says, implying that his business partner was clueless. Sybil couldn't disagree.
"Carlos is a very sloppy man."
Manny raised a brow, "Is that why he's still on the streets?"
Sybil laughed, tapping the side of her cancer stick, causing the ash to drop at her feet, "Carlos is still on the street because he's too weak to drop bodies, and he's an informant." she confessed with no worry. That was her warning. Manny was sexy but anyone who was hanging around with Carlos was either a dumbass or a potential client. And he didn't look like a dumbass, "He wants to roll with the big boys but he's too afraid to go behind bars."
"Good to know," Manny glances down the street, slipping his hands into the pocket of his jeans, "A friend of mine knows him, he uh, said he'd be able to get me around Miami if I needed it." he admits, Sybil humming in acknowledgement.
She dropped what was left of her cigarette on the ground, smashing it under her shoe, "Looks like you already had a tour guide."
Manny pursed his lips, "Yeah, but I think I need a replacement," Sybil could hear the suggestion, but she only chuckled in response, "Come on, I'm hungry."
Sybil put more weight on her right foot, crossing her arms over her chest, "You're really confident in yourself, aren't you?"
"Nah," he shook his head, "I'm just really hungry."
Sybil put more weight on her right foot, crossing her arms over her chest, "You're really confident in yourself, aren't you?"
"Nah," he shook his head, "I'm just really hungry."
She didn't know if she was going to regret this later, but she wasn't thinking about that right now, "I know the perfect spot."
Sybil waltzed passed him, expecting him to follow. Which he had. She had walked with good enough balance for a woman who had a drink too many. But that just let everyone know that she could hold her liquor. She was known for partying, and having a good time. And people understood that she separated her personal life from her profession entirely. Sometimes.
"Have you lived in Miami your entire life?" Sybil sent him a sideways glance at his question, "Hey, I just want to make sure my tour guide doesn't lose us," Manny defended.
"Then quiz me on where the historical museums are," she retorts with a simple shake of her head, but nonetheless she answers, "Basically yeah, if we're counting the actual years of my life I remember." she turned a corner, the two of them passing through more people that walked the streets of Miami, a lot of them liked it better that way, "I'm surprised Carlos didn't give you a play by play." she adds.
"He did," Manny admits, "But it's better hearing it from the source."
Sybil nodded her head, understanding that, "And let me guess, I'm a crazy bitch with a temper who he went to high school with?" she rhetorically asked knowing that was always the summary he gave people.
"Pretty much, yeah." He confirmed.
She scoffed, "And that didn't give you the hint to steer clear?" Sybil found it quite amusing.
"I'm usually pretty good at making my own decisions," Manny noted as he looked around as they walked.
Once they got to the corner of a street, Sybil began to walk across the main road to a food truck that was parked in a designated area. She moved fast, Manny followed her motion, traffic not slowing down for them.
When making it to the other side, Sybil looked at him, "Let's hope you made the right choice," she spoked, the corner of her mouth lifting. She continued on her way towards the Taco Truck, Manny trailing behind her.
It was packed as it usually was, but the man in the truck, the moment he lifted his head and saw Sybil's approaching figure, tapped his employee's shoulder; "¡Oye! ¡Mira lo que es!" he announced in excitement, pointing at her.
Some turned their heads to see who he was talking about. His employee, who Sybil knew as Vince lowered his head to get a glimpse before his lips too formed into a smile, "¡Billy! Es bueno verte extraño,"
Sybil laughed, moving to the front of the line. She glanced behind her to see Manny lingering in the back, causing her to wave her hand towards him, gesturing for him to come closer.
"¿Qué te trae por aquí? Normalmente estás por aquí sacando a estas zorritas de mi cuadra." Santonio, a man she had known she was a kid, had gestured outside, leaning forward.
"Lo sé, lo sé, pero ahora estoy aquí," from the corner of her eye, Sybil could see Manny looking in surprise, "Alguien quería tenía hambre, así que lo llevé al mejor lugar que conozco." she compliment with a subtle wink.
Santonio placed a hand over his chest, "Me calienta el corazón," he blew her a kiss, before his gaze went to Manny, "¿Y qué estás haciendo con mi dulce, Billy?"
"Me está enseñando Miami, de visita desde México." Manny talked with only politeness to the man.
Vince leaned down, "Te encontraste una buena, sólo no la hagas enojar," he rubbed his head, shaking it.
Sybil laughed, "¡Eso fue todo culpa tuya, Vince!"
Santonio rubbed his forehead, "Chicos," he stood up to his full height, "¿qué puedo hacer por vosotros? ¿Lo de siempre?" he raised a brow at Sybil.
"A menos que este tipo tenga la lengua de acero, no está listo para lo de siempre." Vince chimed in as he worked the grill, making other people 's food.
Sybil smirked, moving her gaze to Manny's, "No lo sé, podría ser capaz de soportarlo." she teased, nudging him with her elbow.
"No le hagas eso, Billy," again Vince voiced his opinion.
Sybil challenged him, sending him a look that only silently asked him one question, could he do it? Manny turned to Santonio, raising two fingers, "Dos de los de siempre," he ordered, digging in his back pocket for his wallet.
"Ah no chico, la comida va por cuenta de la casa." Santonio waved him off, "Traeré su comida en un minuto."
Sybil and Manny retreated away from the truck, receiving glares on their way towards an empty table. They settled down across from one another, Manny not hesitating to speak up, "Where'd you learn how to speak Spanish?"
She gestured to the truck, "From the man himself," she referred to Santonio, "He started teaching me when I was little, helped me out a lot." Sybil looked around with a tiny smile, "He's always been here, I'd ditch school and come here when I didn't want to go but my dad sent me anyway," she then released a heavy exhale, "And it was a requirement for the Miami Police Academy." she waited for his reaction from her confession , but she didn't get one, "You aren't ready to run yet?" she vocalized.
"Like I said, I make my own decisions," Manny repeated himself earlier, "And why're you so hell bent on me running? You scared or something?" Now it was his turn to challenge her.
Sybil rolled her eyes, "Boy bye," he laughed at her, not taking his eyes off her, "Let's just say when people hear Burnett they make a run for it, or even hear that I'm a Cop," she explained, pursing her lips, "But there is still time."
Manny leaned forward, resting his forearms on the table, whispering, "Keep dreaming."
PART 3 - Bad Boys: Second Chances
Pairing: Armando x Black! OC (Rya)
Warnings: blood, graphic, guns, death, mature, language (use of the n word), and some other stuff I probably forgot about sorry
Summary: Its been two years since Captain Conrad was framed. Another mission brings the team back together and new relationships are formed. It's said everyone deserves second chances and room to grow. So maybe this is that second chance
a/n: It's a really long chapter like 2 chapters long because I will be out of town for a few days and probably wont have time to update. But I will try if I have some free time. Chapter 4 will be shorter.
"This is it,"
Mike pulls into an apartment complex. At a glance, you can tell it's a quiet place, slightly run down; not many people living here. Getting out of the car, the duo follows Armando to his unit. Unlocking the door, Armando steps inside and turns the light on, it flickering slightly for a second before focusing. His place is small, about the size of a hotel suite, with a small kitchen barely able to fit two people. Tight space but enough for someone who doesn't own much but himself anyway.
"I just need to pack some things and we can head out... don't touch nothing," Armando says while walking into his room. Still standing by the front door, Mike and Marcus look around the place.
"Barely looks lived in... well shit, at least he has a TV," Marcus says, walking towards the small couch to take a seat. Mike steps towards the kitchen, opening the small fridge to see barely anything in there: only a couple of water bottles and simple ingredients to make a sandwich, but that was it. Closing the door, he spots something in the corner on the counter: two small cut-out pictures. One of Armando's mother, Isabel, and one of him. Feeling his chest tighten, he gently places the photos back in the corner.
Hearing Armando walk back into the small space, he steps out of the kitchen. "Nephew, what games you play on here?" Marcus asks, pointing at the PlayStation lying next to the small TV.
Armando looks at the man, raises his brow, "why is that important?"
"Because if it's Call of Duty I'll whoop yo ass, what's your tag?" Adjusting the bag strap on his shoulder, Armando turns his body completely towards his uncle, "What's your rank?"
"Diamond 3 rank 2," Marcus says, crossing his arms.
Scoffing with a smirk on his face, Armando just shakes his head. Dropping his arms, Marcus furrows his brows, "what? What's so funny 'bout that?"
"Nothing, but you ain't whooping nobody ass with that weak ass rank," Armando says, walking up to the door.
"Oh, you a lil disrespectful motherfucker, alright, we gon' see 'bout that," Marcus follows behind him, pointing his finger at the young man walking out the door. "Mike, he just don't know how I do."
--------------------------------------------------------
Four hours into the ride, the three of them sat in peaceful silence. Armando looks at the two in the front, Mike focused on driving and Marcus knocked out, snoring a little bit. Looking at his father, he decides to break the silence.
"What's the mission?" he asks.
Mike glances in the rearview mirror, "Apparently the biggest case the government has ever had... was told you might know something about it."
"I don't know why your people think I know it all, I only worked on what my mother told me to do... she's the one with the answers," Armando shrugs.
"Well, that's fine... we have someone that may know something to help us out... we're picking her up when we arrive in Miami."
Nodding his head, he looks down at the back seat noticing a file sitting beside him. "That's the case file, you can look through it and see if you find something you might recognize."
Picking up the file, he skims through everything. Besides the people he has worked with in the past, he's not sure about everything else. Shaking his head, he looks back up at his father, "Nah, I don't know."
Another silence falls upon the two. Clearing his throat, Mike decides to fill Armando in on the past 2 years. "Things have been normal since the last mission... thank you, by the way, for helping clear Cap's name-"
"I didn't have much of a choice," Armando interrupts, raising a brow.
"Yeah, well, thank you anyway..." Another silence falls between the two. Clearing his throat, Mike decides to try for a conversation again. "You have a baby sister," Mike mentions, glancing at Armando through the rearview mirror to see his face.
Armando looks up at him, making eye contact but doesn't say a word.
"Yeah, uh, she just turned one yesterday... cutest thing too... she loves anybody that gives her food," Mike laughs. Dropping his hand, he digs in his pocket for his wallet. Opening it up, he reaches back to give it to Armando.
Taking the wallet from him, Armando sees a picture of a baby girl. 'Cute.' Mike notices how Armando's face slightly softens. It wasn't a big facial expression, but you can tell it did something to him. Looking at the picture a little more, his attention looks down to another photo, it was old... one of him as a baby. Closing the wallet, he hands it back to his father.
"Congrats," Armando says, cutting the one-sided conversation to an end and looking out the window watching everything pass by.
...MIAMI...
Finally arriving at their destination, Mike pulls into the private base, security guarding every corner. Stopping at the gate, Mike and Marcus show their badges. The guard nods and lets them through. Getting out of the car, the three notice Chief Paul Nicola and a couple of guards walking towards them.
"Glad to see you all are here. This way, please," Paul extends his arm out, leading the small group into the private building. "For the past six months, we have kept our informant in max security... she was found in uniform so she is to be kept chained up as we do not know exactly what she is capable of. She has agreed to only speak to the people working with her to negotiate a deal," Paul says while scanning his ID to enter a private area in the building.
Stopping at a door, Paul turns to the trio. "Please don't fuck this up."
Allowing the men to step into the room, there's only one source of light from a small window making it dim. In the center of the room, they see a table and a person sitting down completely covered head to toe in chains that are bolted into the floor—securely fastened to ensure no way to escape.
The trio takes a seat at the table. A guard standing in the corner walks up to unlock the headlock. The sound of the metal mask dropping to the floor echoes through the room. She has a disheveled look to her: curly hair matted and covering some of her features, faded bruises on her face, and a busted lip. Looking into her eyes, they see she is scared and nervous. She stares at the men in front of her uncertainly.
Marcus clears his throat and softly speaks up, "Okay... I'm Detective Marcus Burnett and this is my partner Detective Mike Lowery and Armando." He points to his left and right where Mike nods at her and Armando just stares. "We know you know something that we need to know to get this shit together. So what is it that you need us to do for us to help each other?" Marcus asks, cutting straight to the chase.
The woman continues to stare at the men in front of her before nodding her head towards the guard behind her. "Get him out first."
Looking up at the guard, Mike waves his hand in a shooing motion. "We'll be good, sir," smiling at the guard who hesitates for a second before stepping out. Hearing the heavy door close, she starts, "I need one thing guaranteed to me."
"Layla Batiste... I need one of you to free her... she should be in the 7th cell on the right. Free her and give her anything she needs to make a living," the woman says, her voice shaking a bit.
"Okay, and who is this Layla? Why do we need to free her?" Mike questions.
"My sister... just agree to do that and we have a deal," she pleads, looking at Mike. "And write it down too so you don't forget... Layla Bat-"
"Batiste, 7th cell on the right. Yeah, I got it," Mike says, leaning back in his chair. "Done. Now, what do you know? Actually, what is your name before anything?"
Taking a breath, the woman sits back in her seat. "My name is Rya," she says.
"Okay, Rya, what do you know?"
"Do we have a deal?" Rya presses.
"Yes, we have a deal. We free Layla and you help us. Done. Sealed," Marcus says, leaning forward on the table. Armando just sits back with his arms crossed, watching the whole ordeal.
"You were captured by our military in a uniform... what were you doing in uniform?" Marcus questions.
Rya looks at Marcus then looks down. "I have been a prisoner since I was 10... a way for my parents to pay their debt... he sends us on missions as decoys... I was sent there as a distraction and ended up being caught."
Armando raises a brow at her wording, leaning forward to make his presence known. "Who's he?" he asks, looking at her with a hard expression.
Looking up, Rya makes eye contact with the brown eyes staring at her. She can tell he is studying her, looking for any reason not to trust her and her words. "A man named Sergio... he's dangerous and powerful. His family for decades has been a part of this big project to take over the world. For reasons I don't know... I just know his kind is powerful... and it's not just him. He has the military, doctors, scientists, judges, governments in different countries working for him. Any influence you can think of, he has someone there working for him. It's a world operation that has been growing nonstop... he's just the center of it."
The three men look at the girl in front of them and then at each other, taking in the information given to them. Mike looks back at the girl. "So why help us... what's in it for you?" he questions. She pauses for a second. "No one wants to be locked up and held captive for the rest of their life... this is my only chance and I can't do it by myself. I need your help." She looks at the men in front of her, tears starting to form in her eyes.
"Hey, we are here to help as long as you can help us... you said he has connections everywhere... is there any place that you know that we can look into to gather evidence or something?" Marcus asks. Rya nods her head, closing her eyes to hold the tears back. "He has these liquid drops he's creating that's a mixture of different drugs and chemicals... there's a place on the strip... an abandoned lot that no one looks into, that's where he makes some of it."
"You know the exact place and where these drops would be?" Mike asks. Rya nods her head yes.
Slapping his hands on the table, Mike stands up looking down at the young girl. "Well, let's take a look at his little operation and make some shit happen." The three men make their way out of the room. Paul, standing in the hall on his phone, looks up as he hears the door open. Quickly putting his phone away, he walks towards the trio. "So what do we got?" He asks, putting his hands in his pocket, looking back and forth at them.
"The man we're looking for is Sergio. His family is the center of this operation and has connections everywhere. She said there's a secret lab on the strip. Claims he's making liquid drops laced with different drugs. We're gonna check it out and build up the case," Marcus says.
"Okay, good, we have something... I'm going to release her to you guys. Make sure she is protected at all costs. We can't afford to lose her," Paul tells them before walking off.
"Well... now we're babysitting... great."
--------------------------------------------------------
Walking out of the building, Paul and two guards on each side of Rya, her hands and feet cuffed. She looks up at the sky, squinting her eyes, and takes a deep breath, finally getting fresh air and light after being confined in a tight cell for 6 months. Looking down, she sees the three men from earlier standing by a car, waiting for her. She wasn't lying when she said Sergio is a dangerous man... his nickname to the people was "The Devil". With the type of connections he has, it's considered damn near impossible to take him down. But still, with the right people and enough evidence... there's a chance. She can only hope she made the right choice and that those three are the ones that can help her.
Feeling a slight tug, her body is forced to a stop. The guard on the right unlocks the cuffs on her feet. Leaving the handcuffs on, he hands the keys to Mike. "The hands are to remain locked." Mike nods, opening the back door to the car. Rya gets in, the door closing behind her. Looking out, she can see Paul exchange a few words with the men before the car doors open and they get in.
"We're going to the station to meet with the team. There you can change and we'll run down everything. Okay?" Mike says, looking back at her in the back seat.
Nodding her head, she feels eyes on her and turns her head to the right, seeing Armando staring at her. She looks him up and down, raising her brow when he doesn't look away. She hears Marcus speak from the front. "Don't worry about him," Marcus says, looking at the two in the back. "He's in his moody teenage phase where he hates his life and everyone in it..." He whispers to Rya. Furrowing his brows, Armando breaks their eye contact by slowly turning his head towards Marcus. "He'll get over it... eventually he tolerates you," Marcus winks at Rya and looks at Armando. "You ever eventually shut the hell up?" Armando asks, causing Mike and Marcus to look at him surprised. "Whoooa," Marcus exclaims, looking at his partner. Mike looks at Armando, "Hey, too much."
Armando rolls his eyes and looks at Rya one more time before he looks away and out the window. "You hear how he talks to me, Mike?... Just no respect for his elders!" Marcus whines from the front seat. "Yeah, I heard him..." The two continue to go back and forth. Rya raises a brow at the dynamic between the people she was put with. Glancing over at Armando, seeing him in his own world, she leans over into the corner of her seat, laying her head back. 'What the hell did I get myself into?'
--------------------------------------------------------
...Miami Precinct...
Stepping out of the shower, Rya wraps her towel around her body and walks over to the locker room mirror. She was able to wash her hair and brush it out, leaving it down to air dry. Wiping the mirror, she looks a little more like herself. The scars and light bruises all over her body are still visible, serving as a reminder of what she had to go through. Shaking her head, she looks over at the folded clothes given to her and quickly puts them on. It's a simple Miami PD t-shirt and black cargos along with black socks, comfortable enough to move around in. Slipping on her shoes, she walks out into the foyer where everybody was waiting for her.
Looking up from the computer, Mike claps his hands and points to Rya. "Everyone, this is Rya, our informant. Rya, this is Rita, the boss, and Kelly and Dorn. They are our tech kids, formally known as AMMO," he says, pointing at everyone. They all wave at her with a small smile, causing her to nod her head in acknowledgment.
Marcus walks up to her with her handcuffs. "Sorry, but they said at all times," he looks at her apologetically, putting the cuffs on her.
"Alright, I have the map of the entire strip. I marked up the abandoned buildings. I just need you to point it out for us," Dorn says, walking up to the table in the middle and laying the map flat on it.
Rya skims over the map. "This one," she says, pointing at a building.
"You sure?"
"Yes, it's that one," she says, looking up at the team.
"Alright, here's the plan," Mike starts. "Rya, you are going to go in and grab a sample of the drops. Grab anything you think we might need that can be used as evidence."
Rya looks at Mike, her eyes widened. "By myself?!" she asks.
"No, uh, Armando will go with you to make sure nothing happens to you. The rest of the team will be watching on the drones, so there's no need to worry."
Calming down a little bit, Rya nods her head. "Okay."
"Armando, you good with that?" Mike asks, looking back at his son who was standing in the back of the room. Armando shrugs and walks off.
"Okay. Well, the plan is set. Let's get ready."
--------------------------------------------------------
...3 Hours Later...
"Alright, can you hear me?" Dorn asks, looking at Armando and Rya who both wore protective gear and their earpieces. Both of them nod their heads as they make their way out of the truck.
"Alright, we'll be right behind you guys. Just grab a sample and get out safely," Rita says, looking at the two before closing the truck door.
Armando starts to walk toward the building, not paying Rya any attention. Rolling her eyes, Rya follows behind, picking up her pace to catch up to him. "Alright, we'll enter first to make sure it's clear," she heard Dorn say into the earpieces. Watching the drone fly into the building a couple of minutes later, she hears Dorn clear them to enter.
Walking into the building, there were broken pieces of glass and boarded-up openings. "You know where the stuff is at, right?" Armando questions, looking back at Rya.
"Yeah, it should be a little further down in a locked room," she replies. Making their way around the building, the two end up at a dead end.
"It's a dead end," Armando says, looking at the wall.
"No, it's just made to look that way," Rya corrects him.
Armando looks at Rya for a second before looking back at the wall. Stepping back a little, he kicks at the wall, and it easily crumbles, revealing a laboratory full of different substances. Skimming the room before stepping in, Armando picks up a bag full of white pills. "Opioids?" Armando mumbles, setting the bag back down. Watching Armando look around the place, Rya sneaks her still cuffed hands into her pocket, pulling out a flash drive. Looking around, she sees a desk off in the corner with a computer on it.
"Where are the drops?" Armando asks, looking back at her.
Quickly hiding the flash drive in her palm, she looks back at Armando and clears her throat.
"It should be in a case or one of these tubes," she says, stepping into the room.
Walking around, she makes her way towards the computer, quickly putting the flash drive in and pressing a button to turn on the computer. Looking back up to make sure Armando was still looking around, she presses around until she sees a downloading screen. Quickly walking away from the computer to look around.
"What are you doing?" She hears Armando question, staring at her.
"Looking for the drops, it should be around here somewhere," she replies, glancing around and noticing a small black case sitting on top of a shelf.
Lifting her cuffed hands, she points at the case.
"There, I think that's it."
Walking over, Armando picks up the case and places it on the counter. Unlocking it, he opens it to see a bunch of little tubes full of a liquid labeled 'OPP.M'. Glancing at Rya, who is looking at the tubes, he grabs one of the tubes and puts it in his pocket.
"Alright, let's go."
Suddenly, a beeping sound goes off.
"What is that?" Armando says, and Rya looks over at the computer.
Quickly walking over, she sees an error displayed on the screen.
"Shit," she mumbles, quickly grabbing the flash drive. She feels Armando grab her shoulder roughly, causing her to turn towards him.
"What the fuck is that?" His face hardens.
"Guys, we have people coming in," Kelly speaks into the earpiece.
All of a sudden, a man fully covered in black with a gold star stitched on his vest comes in firing at the two. Armando swiftly dodges, pulling Rya with him. Getting pushed under the counter, Rya watches as Armando grabs the man, making him stumble. Taking his gun away from him, Armando shoots the man.
More men in black come into the room. Armando fights each one coming at him. Watching him get outnumbered, Rya runs out, taking her cuffed hands and grabbing one of the men from behind, choking him with the chain.
Turning around, she takes the man with her, using him as a shield as one of the other men tries to shoot at her. Dropping his body, she drops to her knee, sliding across the floor, picking up a gun and shooting the men coming towards her. Running out of ammo, she runs up to one of the men, dodging the bullets before hitting him with the butt of the gun.
Grabbing one of the glass flasks on the desk, she breaks it and picks up the sharpest piece. A man comes up to her, throwing a punch. She strategically maneuvers, causing him to fall forward and land on the desk. Stabbing the man a few times in the back, she then turns around and slices the neck of another man coming towards her. A few minutes pass of her and Armando fighting, the last body dropping. She looks up at Armando, slightly roughed up and out of breath, already staring at her. Looking down at her bloody cuffed hands, she drops the piece of glass.
"What the fuck?" she hears Mike in her earpiece. Taking a breath, she looks back up at Armando.
"We got what we need, let's go," she says before turning around and walking out of the room, Armando following behind, glaring at her.
Making her way out of the building, she sees the doors of the truck open up, the team looking at her and Armando coming over. Stepping into the truck, she makes her way over to Dorn's computer and screens. "hey thats my seat" Dorn says pointing at her.
"What the fuck was that?" Marcus says, furrowing his brows and looking at Rya with his arms open.
Armando sits on the seat, unstrapping his vest. "Clearly your informant isn't just an informant," he says, glaring at her.
Rolling her eyes, she pulls out the flash drive from her pocket and swiftly inserts it into the computer, a bunch of files popping up. "Hey, who the fuck are you? Because that wasn't the same helpless girl that was crying and shit, pleading for us to help her back at the prison?!" Marcus says, pulling her shoulder back, forcing her to face the team, all looking at her with confusion apparent on their faces.
"You got some explaining to do," Mike says, crossing his arms.
Staring back at the team, Rya leans back in the chair. 'Well, shit.'
