The fight is booked for Bellator 294, and the promotion confirmed the pairing on Wednesday. Big week for Brazilian women as 3 will headline cards for both the UFC and Bellator. 

Bellator Featherweight champion Cris Cyborg (25-2) has already run out of willing offerings from the Bellator featherweight pool of talent, so they are running things back. Cyborg will once again face off with Australian boxer Arlene Blencowe (15-8) in the headliner to Bellator’s return to Hawaii. They will main event Bellator 279 this Saturday (April 23) on Showtime.

Bellator is running two cards in Hawaii this April.

April 23 card, Bellator 279, will be headlined by two title fights: Cris Cyborg vs Arlene Blencowe 2 and Sergio Pettis vs Raufeon Stots, which will double as a Bellator BW Grand Prix fight. That card will also feature another BW Grand Prix fight - Kyoji Horiguchi vs Patchy Mix! Plus we’ll get former women’s flyweight champ Ilima-Lei Macfarlane vs Justine Kish. Looks like a fantastic card.

Bellator 206 Welterweight Tournament Adds Prize Money for Tournament Winner

Bellator 206 will mark a new era for the promotion. Not only for the event being the one that kicks off the welterweight grand prix on DAZN, but also for kicking off a tournament that has title implications and a million dollar grand prize.

In a press release Bellator announced that Curtis ‘50 Cent’ Jackson and Le Chemin du Roi Champagne will be putting up the prize money for the tournament winner. The current Bellator Welterweight World Champion Rory MacDonald (20-4) has his title on the line by being in the tournament and is facing Gegard Mousasi (43-6-2) for the middleweight title at Bellator 206.

Jackson’s interest in Bellator has grown and he seems to have long term plans in building a future with Bellator and its competitors. “I am excited to partner with the Bellator Viacom franchise. Mixed martial arts yields some of the most action-packed events in the world,” said Jackson.” I’m excited for people to see how I plan to shake up MMA with the integration of my 'Get The Strap' trademark as well as my luxury champagne Le Chemin du Roi.”

The “Get The Strap” moniker will be used in a global apparel line that Bellator and Jackson will launch that is described as “fashionable and edgy, with distinctive attitude.”

Bellator 206 airs on DAZN live Saturday, September 29 from the SAP Center in San Jose. Along with the tournament opener and title fight, a grudge match to settle the long time beef between Quinton “Rampage” Jackson (37-13) and Wanderlei Silva (35-13) serve as the co-main event. Cris Cyborg vs. Arlene Blencowe: Full fight | Bellator 249 | CBS Sports HQ

Cris Cyborg had her first defense of the world featherweight title against Arlene Blencowe in Bellator 249. Cyborg came out strong and dominated from the very beginning, she landed 52 strikes, 32 punches and 12 kicks to Blencowe’s 4, 3 and 1 respectively.

Cyborg was able to take down Blencowe in both rounds, and in the second round won by way of rear naked choke, Cyborg’s first ever win by submission.

Cyborg (23-2, 1 NC) made the first defense of her Bellator MMA women’s featherweight title with a dominant second-round submission win over top contender Arlene Blencowe (13-8) inside the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
