Ariel's early concept art vs. Ariel's sisters
Official concept art for Ariel's sisters doesn't seem to exist, nor is it possible to find much information about their development. We are left to guesswork and observations.
Maybe the reason I can't find much concept art for the sisters is because it wasn't needed. Several ideas from rejected designs for Ariel appear to have been recycled into her sisters. This would fit with the fact that production for the movie was rushed.
Too bad about this last one never making it past the storyboard; those snail-shell earmuffs are cute.

Arista!
50 some days in and we've finally gotten a changeling! I made them fluffy, with some cool wings and lil tail stingers! They also get to keep their fangs :3
The crystals on their flanks act as magical foci, the more crystals / the bigger they are the longer and more detailed a changeling's disguise can hold.
