//OPEN STARTER//
I am not letting you get in my way
Argo had healed up his wounds for the most part. To the point where he wasn't screaming out in pain every time he moved.
Argo still.. isn't supposed to have weapons. But that doesn't stop him from finding them.
Argo was in the mortal realm, searching for.. something. And because of his track record at camp- once they found out that he was just.. searching for something, they sent you to make sure he doesn't go all crazy again.
Argo treks through the forest, his combat boots crunching twigs and leaves. He has his hood up, the black of the sweater allowing him to blend into the night. He's wearing cargo jeans that have been stained by days of dirt- but he's made significant movement from Commodus's castle in the past few days. He's been moving so fast, in fact, that you can barely keep up.
But when it starts raining in the middle of the night, Argo finally stops walking.
"I know you're here," Argo calls in your general direction. "I'm not any danger right now. I'm just trying to get to my mother's house."

(My Epic Headcanons)
Odysseus: Now that I’m back, I wonder what happened to everyone else? Hope they didn’t have as much trouble getting home as I did.
Telemachus: Oh I can tell you.
Odysseus: Great. Let’s start with Menelaus. How are he and Helen doing?
Telemachus: Well he was stuck in Egypt for a bit. But he wrestle Proteus who told him how to get home and break the enchantment on Helen.
Odysseus: Enchantment?
Telemachus: Yea, turns out Paris kidnapped Helen and used some sort of elixir to make her love him. So He and Helen were able to move past that. They explained when I visited… but I left as soon as they started going into detail on their sex life.
Odysseus: Wow, well that does explain a few things. What about little Ajax? Last I remember he was in some trouble but I don’t remember what happened
Telemachus: Died at sea. I don’t know the details just that he pissed off one of the gods.
Odysseus: Yea that tracks, what about Diomedes? I know that guy is probably still kicking.
Telemachus: Yeah actually. He got to Argos pretty quick. No travel problems
Odysseus: Lucky guy.
Penelope: Actually he wasn’t. His wife Cheated on him while he was away. He went to some other land. From what we know, he’s still alive.
Odysseus: I retract my previous statement. Let’s see… Please tell me Agamemnon is dead
Penelope: Yep, Killed by his wife (ex wife) and her lover. Now there is a whole family curse.
Odysseus: Deserved, but sounds like no one got out unscathed.
Telemachus: Nestor was fine. I was hanging out with him during my diplomatic mission
Odysseus: Oh that old bastard still kicking? He’s a funny guy.
Telemachus: He’s actually why I was late coming home.
Odysseus: Well I should let Menelaus know I’m still alive. Maybe he could visit.
Telemachus: We can always visit him.
Odysseus: Son, I’ve done enough sailing for a lifetime.

Why didn’t you tell me?percy jackson x injured reader. (hurt/comfort) Part 2

part one ✵ part two
✵ synopsis: after a fight on the Argo II, reader tries to hide their injury but Percy is determined to find out what’s wrong… he figures it out, but hopes he wasn’t too late
✵ interest: percy jackson (HOO)
✵ warnings: mentions of blood, pain, loss of appetite, isolation, loss of consciousness, and leo.
MASTERLIST
Consciousness returned like a gentle tide, bringing with it the soft rhythm of nearby breathing. Your eyelids felt leaden, and when you finally managed to pry them open, the infirmary's muted light was a blessing to your sensitive eyes.
Percy was there, but not how you expected. He wasn't slumped in sleep or pacing with worry, he was just... staring. Sitting perfectly still in the chair beside your bed, his sea-green eyes fixed on you with an intensity that made your breath catch.
His jaw was set, hands clasped so tightly together his knuckles had gone white, and you couldn't read his expression. You'd never seen him like this before, caught between anger and something else, something raw and vulnerable that made your heart twist.
When you tried to shift position, a deep ache flared through your side. His eyes tracked the movement, and something in him finally broke.
"Six hours," he said, voice low and rough. "You were out for six hours."
You tried to speak, but your throat was too dry. Without breaking his stare, he reached for the water glass, helping you take small sips. The gentleness of his movements contrasted sharply with the storm brewing in his eyes.
"Percy—" you started.
"No." The glass clicked against the side table. "You don't get to—" He stood abruptly, running both hands through his hair. "Do you have any idea what—" He cut himself off, turning away, then whirling back. "You were bleeding out. Right in front of me. And you didn't say anything."
The last words came out as a shout, echoing off the infirmary walls. You flinched, and instantly saw regret flash across his face.
"I'm sorry," you whispered. "I didn't want to—"
"To what? Trust me?" His voice cracked on the words. "To let me help you? Gods, when you collapsed, I thought—" He broke off again, dropping heavily back into the chair. All the anger seemed to drain out of him at once, leaving something much more fragile in its wake.
"I thought I was going to lose you," he said quietly, not meeting your eyes now. "And the worst part was knowing you didn't even think you could tell me. After everything we've..."
The silence stretched between you, heavy with things unsaid. When he finally looked up, the vulnerability in his expression took your breath away.
"I can't lose you," he admitted, barely above a whisper. "Not like that. Not ever." His hand found yours, tentative at first, then holding on like an anchor. "Next time you're hurt, you tell me. I don't care if it's a paper cut or a broken bone. Promise me."
You nodded, throat tight with emotion. "I promise."
Some of the tension finally eased from his shoulders. He didn't let go of your hand, his thumb tracing absent patterns against your skin. Neither of you spoke for a long moment, letting the quiet wash away the last echoes of anger and fear.
"Annabeth going to kill me for yelling in here," Percy finally said, a ghost of his usual smile returning.
"Probably," you agreed, feeling your own lips curve upward. "Worth it though?"
His expression softened as he looked at you, and that something deeper was back in his eyes. "Yeah," he said quietly. "Worth it."
As exhaustion started pulling you back under, you felt him shift closer, his free hand brushing hair from your forehead with impossible gentleness. The last thing you heard before sleep took you was his whispered, "I'll be right here. I promise."
The next two days in the infirmary blurred together, marked by the steady stream of visitors and Percy's constant presence. He'd only leave when someone else insisted, and even then he'd return looking like he'd barely slept, dropping back into his chair like it was the only place he wanted to be.
"You know," you said one afternoon, watching him fight to keep his eyes open, "your room probably has a more comfortable bed than that chair."
"I'm fine," he insisted, though he was practically slumped over the armrest. "Annie said you might be able to try walking today."
As if summoned, she appeared in the doorway. "Speaking of which." Annabeth crossed her arms, giving Percy a pointed look. "You're not going to be much help if you pass out from exhaustion."
"I don't pass out," Percy protested, but she was already shooing him toward the door.
"Go. Shower. Sleep. She'll still be here when you get back."
Percy hesitated at the doorway, giving you a look as you laughed at the exchange. "I promise not to do anything stupid while you're gone."
"Better not," he said softly, something warm in his eyes before he finally left.
Annabeth checked your bandages, nodding with satisfaction. "Walking should be much less painful now."
The first attempt at walking wasn't exactly graceful. Your legs felt like jelly after hours on hours in bed, and the stitches pulled uncomfortably. But Annabeth was patient, letting you lean on her as you made your way slowly across the room.
You'd barely made it halfway when familiar voices drifted in from outside.
"If you're going to hover, you might as well come in," she called out, amused.
Jason was the first through the door, followed by Leo, their faces lit up seeing you on your feet.
"Look who's vertical," Leo joked at the sight of you.
"Barely," you admitted, grateful for Annabeth’s support as your legs trembled. Jason immediately took that as his cue to support your other side.
"Baby steps," Leo said as you gave him a look, but Annabeth cut in,
“Let’s get you back to—”
"I've got her." Percy was suddenly there, like he'd materialized from thin air. His arm slipped around your waist, careful to avoid your injury as he took your weight from her. "I thought you were going to sleep," you murmured as he helped you back to bed.
"Tried. Couldn't." His voice was low enough that only you could hear. "Kept thinking..."
He didn't finish the thought, but his arm tightened slightly around you.
"Well, now that the gang's all here," Leo said once you were settled, pulling something from his bag, "movie night?"
"In the infirmary?" You raised an eyebrow.
"Come on," Percy sided with Leo. "She's been staring at these walls for days. And we'll keep it quiet." He looked toward the daughter of Athena.
Annabeth sighed the sigh of someone who knew not to fight it, "Fine.”
Once the others were gathered, everyone settled in around your bed. Including Leo perched at the foot with his laptop, Annabeth claiming the extra chair, and Percy back in his usual spot beside you. As the familiar opening credits rolled, you felt some of the lingering tension finally ease from your shoulders.
"Hey," Percy whispered, his hand weaving through you hair before finding hand in what had become a familiar gesture. "You good?"
You looked around at your friends, your family really, and squeezed his hand. "Yeah. I'm good."
His answering smile was soft, private, meant just for you. And as everyone argued about plot holes and character arcs, you realized that maybe getting hurt hadn't been the worst thing.
Sometimes it took falling apart to understand just how many people were there to help put you back together.
By the time the movie ended, you'd dozed off against Percy's shoulder, his thumb still tracing absent patterns against your skin. The last thing you registered was the quiet murmur of your friends' voices and the steady rhythm of Percy's breathing, anchoring you safely in the moment.
You were going to be okay. All of you were. And if hidden injuries caused this, maybe next time you’ll hide a paper cut.

it's me again, hehehehe 🙈
semaine de la mode - (jason grace + t.s. invisible string)
⋆·˚ ༘ * one single thread of gold tied me to you

warnings: soulmate au pairing: jason grace x fem! reader a/n: the ending is a tad rushed 😣
jason grace was a fucking disaster. the quest was thrown off track when you had been taken by some stupid monster. you had an attempt to hurt it by instead it took you in its hands, incinerating you almost instantly, the only thing left was gold ashes. where you went was a mystery to everyone on the argo ii except for the son of jupiter. he knew exactly where you were
he didn’t quite know why, however. he just knew. It was weird, when any of his others friends were apart for him, it was unknown where they could be. whenever you weren’t in the very blurry vision of jason grace he knew where exactly you were. even if it was just at night, if you were laying in bed he would know, if you walked past him he knew where you were going and it worried him
why were you so special? he loved you, yes- admittedly more than anyone else on the ship but you weren’t even dating. but of course you were special to him, jason held you so dear in his heart and if something bad were to happen to you he might have to be institutionalized or he’d never survive
did he only feel your parting because he was in love with you? because he sure as hell wasn’t in love with anyone else, you were the only thing occupying his mind. it might’ve been annoying to others but oh gods he loved you and nothing could ever make him hate the thought of you
jason grace couldn’t sleep. since you were taken, not even a minute of rest came to him. he spent his nights and days planning how to rescue you. even when his eyelids shut the vision of you tied up in gods know where was mortifying, enough to keep him going until you were safe in his arms once again
he spoke to his friends about the reoccurring visions of you in despair, they- of course- helped him find you. two weeks after your kidnapping the argo ii arrived at your keeping. it was a dark cave, most definitely monster-infested but he would rather risk his life than let you die. jason assured his occupants that he could handle finding you himself, percy begged to help but jason declined and entered the stygian cave
It was dark. It was very dark. jason had no clue where he was going but nonetheless he kept going, eager to see you again. he reached a two way path- right or left, right or left…
he went right. as stupid as it sounds jason picked right because it was your favorite direction (you had told him this one night when he couldn’t sleep, it was the middle of the night and it amazed you that he remembered it). the ground was wet. he knew this was a good sign because in his visions he had seen water behind you. just as he thought he was getting close something stops him
jason looks up from the ground. a very ugly cyclops stands before him. oh he nearly screams but the content face of the monster is highly disturbing enough to stop any sound coming from his mouth
“wedding guest” says the cyclops
jason contemplates answering because seriously- what kind of statement is that? he pulls out his sword incase what he’s about to say is not cyclops appropriate
“who’s wedding?”
the cyclops proudly puffs out his chest. “y/n and me”
oh no
“where is she?”
“are you a wedding guest?”
“I’m here to object”
“you will not”
jason is thankful for the darkness of the cave. he positions his sword towards the cyclops. “who says?”
“I do”
“yeah?”
the cyclops nods. three… two… one… jason slides his sword into the monsters abdomen. the cyclops does not like this, attempting to rip it out but jason makes sure that it will not, sliding it in further until it reaches the opposite side. the monster makes noises in pain and occasional curses, his hands stay tightly around whatever part of the weapon he could reach
he left the cyclops there and rushed away. yes, maybe he should’ve waited until it was dead but honestly when he was this close to finding you nothing else really mattered. nothing else ever mattered when you were in his presence
jason wasn’t entirely sure how he knew which way to go but before he knew it he reached your temporary jail. something happened when your eyes met. as cliché as it sounds electricity ran through your body. jason ran to you as fast as possible, struggling to untie the ropes tears escaped his eyes
“jason” you muster out. and who knew a simple word could enlighten such a reaction but he stopped everything and looked up at you. the position admitted a little sexual since he was kneeling before you, he stood up quickly with a reddened face
“I’m sorry, I- didn’t, oh gods”
“jason, please. there’s a dagger in my back pocket”
with both of you hysterically crying wasn’t helping the situation. he hurried- yet remained respectful slid the dagger out from your back pocket, using it to first untie your hands, the kneeling once again (with your permission, he wasn’t sure if this was comfortable for you) to untie your ankles. he throws the dagger to the side and you throw yourself into his arms, he crumbled at the sensation, taking in your scent
“I missed you, gods, I thought I’d never leave” you cry into jason’s shoulder
he strokes his fingers through your hair to calm you, although he wasn’t very calm himself. “It’s okay, I’m here”
your grip on his shirt so tight you’re sure your fingers would’ve been turning white. “I don’t want to leave you again”
“I won’t let you”
“do you promise?”
“I swear it”

please please please let me get what i want (lord knows it would be the first time)

leo valdez x reader , hate at first sight , girl who’s nice to everyone but you , enemies to lovers , miscommunication , hurt and no fluff (not yet!)
summary : you and leo started out on bad terms, and you remained on bad terms while you both occupied the argo ii. after the argo ii crashed into an island and sent you flying off the deck and tumbling into the ocean don’t laugh it’s not funny, you lost your favorite necklace in it’s sandy shores. of course, you blame leo even though you know it wasn’t intentional. so, tired of this nonsensical rivalry, leo decided to make things up to you. but they don’t turn out the way he expected.
authors note : this was written with the deftones version of the song in mind, but either will work honestly
also! this plot was inspired by a reel i saw on insta, but i can’t remember or find who it was! if you know, please comment and i can credit her :))
warnings : some swear words, i use fuck once and a couple others
part 2 coming soon :))
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
“What are you doing, (y/n)?” Percy stopped just before the waves hit the sand, watching as you waded around in knee-high water with your shoulders hunched over as you stared at the water and sand below you.
You looked up at him, your eyes still squinting and the rest of your face scrunched with worry, “I lost my necklace while we were landing because of Valdez’s inability to fly the boat he built.”
Your pointed tone was directed to the Latino who had been walking on the beach a few feet behind Percy. Being in earshot, Leo stopped in his tracks, various pieces of metal scraps tucked under his arm and numerous tools gripped in his calloused hands, “What kind of shit are you talking now, (l/n)?”
His tone held its usual bitter spite, but it also had a hint of something else. Exhaustion. His precious Argo II had crashed onto this gods-forsaken island mere hours ago, yet it felt as if he had spent years trying to find out what the hell was wrong with it so they could get back in the sky. His eyes ached with exhaustion and he couldn’t tell if his limbs felt heavy or if it was just the dozens of pounds of metal he was carrying.
“I’m not talking shit,” you shot back with far too much confidence for someone who was using her feet to comb through the continental shelf under the waves, “You crashed the boat. It’s your fault I flew off of the deck and into this water. Therefore, it’s because of you that my necklace fell off and I can’t find it.”
Leo, who had opened his mouth to shoot back some half-hearted response while you were speaking, fell silent. You were right. It was his fault.
Anyone who had been around you at all knew how much you loved that necklace. It had been a gift from your godly parent when you were claimed a few years ago, and you never took it off. You grasped the pendant in your palm when you felt anxious, and the majority of your outfits coordinated with its colors.
And now it was lost somewhere in the sand, and you may never find it. All because of him.
You were still staring at him, and your eyes narrowed in response to his lack of response. You hummed once, something that usually made Leo furious, but this time it felt like a slap in the face. You turned your attention back to the murky water you stood in, and Leo knew that the conversation was over.
Percy watched you for a few seconds, his eyebrows raised as you continued to go further and further into the translucent ocean. Finally, he turned his attention to Leo who still stood behind him, watching you.
“Hey, McShizzle Man, you okay?” he asked, concern filling his attempt at a casual tone.
Leo, who finally managed to pull his eyes away from you, nodded, a forced smile coming back to his face, “Perfectly fine, man. Nothing to worry about.”
He knew that Percy wasn’t buying it, but he didn’t really care.
“I found this stuff in the forest,” he said, nodding to the pieces of metal he held under his arms, “Not to jinx our luck, or anything, but I think it’s from my dad. I’m going to take it to Festus and see what I can do.”
Percy nodded, and Leo cursed him for having such a good poker face. As the dark haired boy opened his mouth again, Leo found himself nervous for what he might say.
“Awesome. You need anything?”
“Nah, man, I’m good. Thanks, though.” He would have walked away right there and then if Percy hadn’t looked like he wanted to say something else.
“Leo,” the older boy started out much quieter, his inflection already making Leo wish he was halfway across the beach, “That’s not your fault.”
He didn’t need to say or do anything for Leo to know that he was referring to the girl in the water who was mumbling nonsense about a stupid dragon.
“I know,” he said weakly, his eyes falling to the ground.
“The fact that you built an entire flying ship in like, three months is crazy impressive,” Percy said, his green eyes practically staring into Leo’s soul, “Don't beat yourself up because one thing went wrong.”
Leo swallowed, nodding, “Thanks, Percy.”
The boy nodded in response, and Leo finally left the beach.
It was only when he was on his back with a wrench in his hands that he allowed himself to dissect everything. The overall conclusion was that this was not looking very good for him.
First, he had made a joke about your godly parent when he first met you that did not go over too well, then he didn’t react too positively when Rachel spewed out green gas and said you were to go on the quest to California to retrieve Percy, and then he accidentally attacked Camp Jupiter, and now he lost your favorite necklace.
The first and the third events were excusable. In his mind, they were able to be taken completely separate and had no connection to his inability to get along with you. But when putting all four events together, he was beginning to understand why you didn’t like him so much.
As someone who experienced a large amount of bullying growing up, whether it be about him being poor, in foster care, or having an accent, it caused him physical pain in his chest to think that he might have been bullying you. And while he may not have been, if he didn’t change things very quickly, there would be no denying it.
It was rather unfortunate, the way things worked out. Upon first meeting you, Leo thought you were very pretty. He thought your eyes were very enchanting and that your hair was majestic, and overall he was mesmerized with how you looked. Unfortunately, when Leo gets tongue-tied, he tends to say whatever comes to his mind first. It was completely understandable that you were offended, and he wanted to immediately take it back. But it was too late. He had already made a horrible first impression, and you were not so kind to him after that.
When you had been chosen to go with them to California, Leo didn’t react too positively. It wasn’t as if he pouted, or anything. He would never pout. He may have rolled his eyes as Chiron made the announcement to the camp, but at the moment he didn’t think that was too bad.
Attacking Camp Jupiter was NOT his fault. He was possessed by an Eidolon, which was cleared up. End of story. You still liked to bring it up.
It wasn’t that Leo wanted to constantly bicker with you. In fact, he found it exhausting having to respond to every insult you threw at him. He would never say it out loud, but he wished that the two of you were friends. He saw the way that you had heart-to-heart conversations with Percy and Annabeth, some of your childhood friends, and the way that you threw around jokes with Piper, and how you were quick to form a bond with Jason, Frank, and Hazel, three people who you literally just met. You had a great relationship with everyone on the Argo II except him, and he hated it. All he wanted was for you to look at him and smile, the way you do with your eyes sparkling and your head tilting just a bit to the side.
Leo did not have a very good track record when it came to girls. It had never really been a problem until he found himself enamored with one, and incapable of doing anything about it. But something in the back of his mind knew that he wasn’t going to give up with you. All he needed was a way to get on your good side.
As the revelation came over him, the metal nut he had been working with fell on his forehead. He shot up from under his work station, nearly smacking his head hard enough to knock himself out.
But that didn’t matter, because he knew what to do to fix everything.
He was going to find your necklace.
“Oh my Gods, Percy, thank you!” You exclaimed as you threw your arms around the green eyed boy. Percy, however, had a puzzled look on his face as he hesitantly returned the hug.
“Uh,” he started, his eyes flickering over to Annabeth, who shared his confusion, “What did I do?”
“My necklace. You found it,” you said, pointing to the familiar chain that now hung around your neck, “Thank you so much!”
Percy blinked, trying to figure out if he was being pranked or not, “Yeah, no problem.”
See, it really was no problem because he didn’t do it.
You might as well have been skipping with how joyful you were as you walked away, your hair flowing in the wind like Aphrodite was on your side she was. Leo pouted watched from afar, his hair still damp and his teeth clenched with frustration.
Fucking fantastic.
He had spent all night searching through that goddamn shoreline, praying to his father or Aphrodite or any other god or deity who would take pity on him that he found that damn necklace. And you thought Percy did it.
Leo had nothing against Percy. The guy was a great leader and an even better fighter. But at the moment, Leo despised the man. How dare he take credit for Leo’s hard work.
“You should tell her it was you,” Leo flinched at the sound of a voice behind him. Turning around, he found Nico di Angelo in his teen angst glory watching him with a strange look on his face.
“What?” Leo asked, caught off guard.
“You should tell (y/n) that you found her necklace for her,” Nico repeated, this time slower, as if he were speaking to a young child, “I think she would appreciate it more if she knew that you were the one who did it.”
“How do you figure that?” Leo was intrigued. He hadn’t spoken to the son of Hades much, and this was the first time he had approached Leo instead of the other way around.
Nico shrugged, “You’ve made it very clear that fire doesn’t mix with water. So she would know that there was more effort and intent behind it, since you don’t have Percy’s water magic shit. And she would like you more.”
Leo’s eyes narrowed, “What makes you think I want her to like me?”
Nico tilted his head and gave him a look that made Leo feel foolish for even asking, “Leo Valdez, I just watched you spend hours last night digging through the sand for her necklace. You don’t do something like that for someone you hate.”
A silence fell over them as Leo processed what Nico had just said. From what he could gather from Nico’s few days on the Argo II, he was pretty close with you. Before Leo could remember that Nico actually knew what he was talking about, he decided that he didn’t care whether you liked him or not. Leo just wanted to clear his conscience.
So what if he liked seeing you happy? So what if he felt a pit forming in his stomach when you hugged Percy? You should’ve been hugging him. You should’ve smiled at him. You should’ve-
“You’re not an idiot, Valdez,” Nico yawned, his hand coming up to rub his bloodshot eyes, “So don’t be stupid.”
“Where are you going?” Leo asked, his eyes following the boy as he turned to begin walking away.
“It’s time for my nap.”
“It’s not even noon.”
“You’re not in a place to judge me right now, Valdez.”
Leo cursed himself, realizing Nico was right. As much as he didn’t want to, he had to confess that he had been the one to find your necklace.
But would you believe him? And how would he even do it in the first place? It’s not like he could casually drop the news over dinner. Pull you aside during one of your “meditation walks” which was just a fun way to say your cooldowns so you didn’t punch someone?
He had to figure it out, and soon.

Circe: "You're not going to ask me to free your men?"
The suitors: 🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷🐷
Penelope: "..."
Penelope: "You can keep them"
Ok, so Epic the Musical AU that spawned in my head less than 24h ago. I'm thinking of calling it something like, "The Travels of Penelope of Ithaca", or wtv.
Anyway onto the fun stuff:
yes it has an OC in it, cope.
basically the jist is that sometime after literally every other greek has come back home, the crew has gotten stuck at the Lotus Eaters (iirc it was almost a year in the original), some god(ess) or other, I'm thinking either Hermes or Hestia, appears to Penelope in a dream like "yo, your hubby is alive, he's just stuck bc Zeus and Poseidon are mad at him" and Penny, being the amazing Girlboss™ that she is, she's like "I have find my darling husband" and jumps on a ship to look for him.
EXCEPT.
The suitors are still drooling after her, so she's like. Alright fine. Accompany me on this journey, and "when" I find "proof" Odysseus is actually "dead", I'll marry the bravest one of you. (So I can have a disposable crew AND off the suitors in the same way!)
So basically, Penelope is experiencing the Odyssey backwards while trying to meet Ody halfway 😃
also about my oc. Ahem. She's an orphan kid, same age as Telemachus (10~11), during the siege of Troy she accidentally bumos into the crew because her dad used to wear a headband, so seeing Polites she starts running towards him, momentarily forgetting her dad is dead, and Polites is just like "well, I can't NOT take care of this kid" open arms and all that, ya know.
Anyway, because domino effect, this also segues in Astyanax not dying (as well as Polites and Eurylochos, the rest of the crew is still boned), Andromache and Cassandra coming along, and Polites and the rest by proxy gaining Hestia and Artemis's favour.
one last thing is that when Penny bumps into the sirens, she sees Odysseus (obviously 🙄), and because in my variation sirens can shapeshift, and when they do, they gain partial memories of that person (all the better to trick you with - although not always accurate - looking at you "me and our daughter"), so Siren!Penny and Siren! Ody end up because a couple in the background. They're not like, a villainous couple or anything, they're just chilling and thinking about future Siren!Telemachus (or hey, maybe THEY will end up with a daughter who knows - AARGH now I'm making an AU of an AU).
Tmw your love for each other is so strong it accidentally creates a monster clone of yourselves...
Also Hera is so inspred by their dedication to their marriage she starts endorsing them. Aphrodite too.
Also also they end up keeping one of Polyphemus's sheep as a pet. Because fluffy.
#i am biting at the bars of my enclosure#i cant believe i didnt think of Argo tracking him down#aafsdgdshdaag#your brain brains so good#epic the musical#my post#travels of penelope of ithaca au#my post (epic the musical)

RP blog for the odyssey/epic the musical (although it branches into percy jackson territory occasionally depending on what blog I'm interacting with)
In character post will be colored like this
"If Ares is talking it will look like this"
Don't be weird please (and no nsfw) and don't be mad if I do not present penelope the way you want this is supposed to be fun so let's keep it that way
I do not interact with blogs based around biblical characters as I am a Christian, and it just makes me uncomfortable I also will not be interacting with post that have slurs or other offensive language such as GD.
(Penelope will not have any romantic feelings for anyone other than Odysseus on this blog warning)
And of course don't take anything I say in character to heart I don't want to offend anyone if I come across as rude I'm so sorry I don't mean to
Also, warning things can be very violent on this blog I usually try to tag, but I may miss some.
And of course feel free to tag me and send ask! Your not being obnoxious I'd love to be tagged or receive a ask that's what I made this account for was for all yall to have fun and interact! (On that note tho do not start sending me messages if I do not respond. I will not respond if you do that)
Also I'm the admin of the ooc discord server and community for greek mythos rps here on tumblr if you run a rp blog here on tumblr for greek myths send me a dm and I'd be happy to invite you to join!

if all of your OCs fought, who would win?
With much consideration and manic thought processing…

Its chaos on the battlefield, one I’m not meant to keep up with… Its ANYONE’s game.
Keep reading below for the beat down breakdown!! vvvvv
Color codes:
❤️ - Physically overpowers
💙 - Psychically overpowers
💚 - Refuses to fight
🩷 - Fuck you Magic ✨
💜 - BULLYING THEM!!!!!
I’ve complied this non-exhaustive web of 1 v 1 face offs, offering a basic “summary” for some of the resulting battles. I’ve had to reduce the full roster to a select “rogues gallery” for sake of time, space, and to reduce redundancy. Sorry to those that do not see your favorite blorbos, those excluded were either too new, had too little lore created for them, or provided nothing new or interesting (imo)
You’ll quickly notice not every character fights everyone. 1- i forgor, 2- i dunno how to make the arrows legible at this point. I didn’t think this shit through. TO MAKE UP FOR THAT… Some battle highlights:
Dr. Arachne is a nightmare (ha) for ALL mecha ocs to deal with because [redacted] Therapy is pretty much a requirement to fend off the good doctor and honestly Diogenes is the only one capable of keeping his shit together around here.
THAT SAID. the doctor is built less structurally intact than a single pringle and disappoints their dietary nutritionists year round.
The bug ocs are just lil guys... they really weren’t meant to face off against war machines, murder plants, or capitalism. A for effort...
There are only two genders: Inflamed or flammable. And the gender ratios are SKEWED. I’m sorry.
Your chances of losing against Annabelle rests on your working relationships to the concept of time and how easy it is for you to lose track of it… good luck.
Argos could win more battles depending on how actively in danger Captain is… +1 for simps around the world.
The space lasagna is a force to be reckoned with but it really doesn’t want to be here right now.
Inviting Dragon and Virga… Coughing babies vs. 2 Hydrogen Bombs
That’s it for now. Hey feel free to ask me for more details too :]
.
..
…
Did I say it’s anyone’s game? I lied. Annabelle’s the scariest mf here.

Krypton loves and Kara did absolutely not sign up for this, please?
“I’m sorry, Kara, I know it’s a lot to ask,” Kal says with a sigh. “The council’s just being stubborn about things and I don’t know where else to put them right now. Mother and Father don’t have the space and I definitely can’t send them all the way to Argo City, so–limited options, basically.”
“Oh, and you think I have the space?” Kara retorts dryly. She has two spare beds, yes, but having only one guestroom for two infant teenagers who don’t necessarily get along to split is a fast track to disaster, she knows damn well.

Underworld Sun || LH44

summary: It only took an unpretentious visit to a local florist for all of Lewis's convictions to come crashing down, and finally the lord of the Underworld found what was missing in his lonely existence.
cw: dark content, slightly stalkerish behavior, nostalgia, pure smut, Lewis!dom x reader!sub, revelation, mention of magic, violence, outbursts of rage, (fake) naivety, devotion, deep love, soulmates, family interference, mention of kidnapping.
a/n: I knew the vote would come down to Max and Lewis — and I was hoping it would be one of them, don't judge me — and I was anxious to write, I counted the minutes until the end of the vote and I thought of the title beforehand, So here we are. This story is intended to be divided into many parts, I don't know how many parts, but we'll see how it works.. Anyway, enjoy!
Monaco, days before...
It had been a few years — or many, it's natural to lose track of time when you're immortal — since he had walked the streets of Monaco, and no one even imagined that the principality housed the new home of the gods of the Greek pantheon. The gods loved how everything in Monaco was beautiful, luxurious and exuberant, life in Monaco matched the desires and longings of the immortals; he took a deep breath as he entered the massive casino where satyrs dressed in elegant tuxedos awaited him.
"Sir, welcome, we have been waiting for you" the satyr said as he guided him to the central dome, where the other gods were waiting for him, It had barely started and he was already tired, it was always stressful coming to Monaco, having to deal with his brothers and nephews, who were always very irritating.
"Thank you Clocis, I hope I wasn't too late, the traffic was chaotic" he justified himself, even though there was no need, he hated delays, so he hated it when he kept people waiting. However, when it came to his family, any delay could be a blessing.
"People go crazy when Monaco hosts the Formula One circuit, sir," Clocis said, opening the door for the god of the underworld. "I'm sorry you had to go through that."
"It's not your fault that you have to apologize , Clocis, you can go, I'll go on my own from here, I know Argos needs your help at the casino" he politely dismissed the satyr, who waved and left him alone in the immense corridor. Hades — or Lewis, as he had come to be called since he had taken on that human body centuries before — walked slowly to the main hall, where his family would be gathered.
He pushed the door open, not bothering to wait for the servants to open it, and discreetly took his seat on Zeus's left side. For a long time he felt left out in the division of the spoils of the Titanomachy, but after ages of administering his domains, Hades couldn't feel more grateful for having been "gifted" with the land of the dead. But nothing was better than being alone in the underworld, without his relatives to trouble his patience. Being part of that family, solitude was a balm.
He waited until the uproar died down and the gods calmed down.
"Now that Hades has arrived, we can begin the meeting," Themis said, the goddess remained with her blindfold over her eyes and Hades stopped wondering how she knew things. She wasn't the goddess of justice for nothing.
"You've finally arrived! We thought you wouldn't come" Zeus said, or Michael, as he preferred.
"And I really wasn't coming, but I knew you would send Hermes to disturb me for decades, as you did during the Iliad. I preferred to avoid the fatigue," he replied simply and heard his brother's thunderous laughter. "What is this meeting about?"
The dome was filled with silence. Zeus stood up, making things more theatrical and Hades wondered if it was Dionysus who created the theater.
"A few weeks ago, traces of Persephone's sacred energy were signaled on our radars," he said, causing a commotion among those present. A strange tingling sensation tugged at Lewis's chest, making him shift in his seat. "But it was too fast and we couldn't track it."
"And what are we here for? Do you want us to start searching the gardens and flower fields for her?" Ares grumbled, earning a hard look from Zeus.
"Considering you have an affair with Aphrodite, wallowing in bushes and fields of flowers," Apollo commented from across the semicircle, Charles — or Apollo — he gave a mocking smile before dodging the sword that Max threw at him.
"Enough, shut up you two" a lightning bolt cracked and made them both go silent. "Stay alert, Persephone could be anywhere and we need to bring her home."
Hades drummed his fingers, feeling the itch in his chest grow.
"That was it? You could have sent an email," he commented, seeing Zeus' eye twitch and Poseidon laugh out loud, Ayrton almost fell from his throne, laughing as the brothers fought over their gazes.
"You should spend more time with your family, brother," he said, sitting down again. "We miss you here."
Well, everyone has my business card with my address, I will love to receive visitors, I have added a new head to my collection, you will love it"
"Brother, don't be so bitter, you are missed in our celebrations, you know that"
Lewis grunted in agreement, adjusting the cufflinks on his suit, revealing some of the numerous tattoos he had.
"I believe I am too dark for the exuberant brightness of Monaco," he said, standing up, greeting everyone and disappearing, leaving a dark trail that smelled of burnt wood.
Soon he was inside his car, it was one of the few human activities he enjoyed, driving for hours on end calmed his mind and silenced his demons. It was dramatically ironic that the god of the dead was tormented by demons, and Lewis had plenty of them. He drove through the streets of the principality until he reached the edge of the country, he crossed the border into France and the climate changed radically. The south of France had a rural, provincial feel that didn't quite match the golden exuberance of Monaco, and it was also less oppressive.
He didn't like golden things.
Lewis drove into a small town and just as the bucolic French aesthetic demanded, he parked his car at the only gas station in town and looked around, a small bakery, a bookstore, the church in the center of the village and a flower shop. He didn't know why, but his instincts pointed him towards the tiny flower shop, maybe it was the smell of honeysuckle, or maybe it was because the shop looked like it was straight out of a 1920s movie, and Before he knew it, Lewis had made the bell above the flower shop door ring. Bouquets of roses, lilies, sunflowers, lilies and tulips were scattered in the cramped space, the floral scents mingling, attacking the rhinitis he didn't even know he had.
"Just a minute, please!” Someone said from the back of the establishment and severe chills shook Lewis’s body. He walked around, looking at the flower arrangements, the gift baskets, it was all so delicate that it made him think it was a dollhouse, yet there was something there, something darker and deeper. "Sorry for the delay, the supplier delivered today and my employee is away... It's all in my hands..."
Her voice died the instant she looked at the visitor, suddenly the static between them made their hair stand on end and something sparked in both of their minds.
"Hello, I'm Lewis," he smiled, extending his hand to her.

Fun Facts about Yu Tendo
His given name Yu (遊) means play or playing. His surname means:
天 (Ten) – "Heaven," "sky," or "divine"
童 (Dou) – "Child," often associated with innocence or youth.
Yu is the smallest and youngest known member of the Dark Nebula.
He was considered the number two of the organization until Reiji appeared, although he acted as Daidoji’s right-hand man.
Yu is the second character to use the Flame Fusion Wheel, and the first whose Beyblade represents an inanimate object—Libra, the scales.
He bonded with Kenta, another Flame Wheel user. Additionally, their spin tracks and tips are the same color. Later, Kenta would borrow Libra's ES in his fight against Reiji.
Coincidentally, Ryutaro also uses the T125ES combo, and like Yu, he battled Gingka in Battle Bladers.
The Face Bolt motif depicts Libra as a bat. Interestingly, Yu’s Beyblade can manipulate and generate sound waves. Bats are known to use echolocation, and the sense of hearing is also linked to balance—fitting, since Libra symbolizes balance.
Yu’s sailor suit might connect to this theme, as radar (which functions with sound) is often used on boats and submarines.
It could also be a nod to his young age, since children in the 19th and early 20th centuries often wore sailor suits.
Yu’s Libra has been broken four times:
First by Reiji
Then by the Garcia siblings (with Enzo worsening the damage)
Again by Damian
And finally during the battle against Nemesis
Yu has a somewhat complicated history with snake-bey users:
His Bey was broken by Reiji
He pointed out that Team Chandora of India only used serpent-themed Beys
He was the first to duel Tithi, whose Beyblade, Quetzalcoatl, is based on a winged serpent
Ironically, despite being the one who wished for Battle Bladers, Yu was eliminated in the first round—like most of the Dark Nebula Bladers.
In the qualifiers for the Japanese team, Yu was placed fourth. If Kyoya hadn’t refused to join, Yu likely wouldn’t have been selected for Team Gan Gan Galaxy, as he lost both of his qualifying battles.
Both Zeo and Chris have similar hairstyles, as well as parallels with Yu:
All three were abandoned by a close friend in a dire situation. They each joined an evil organization only to be used by it.
Additionally, both Yu and Zeo were betrayed by said organisation.
Like Yu, Zeo owned a Beyblade representing an inanimate object and used the Flame Fusion Wheel.
Coincidentally, both Libra and Byxis's Energy Rings are the same color as their respective owner's eyes.
Both had a rocky first encounter with Masamune, and one of their close friends (Tsubasa and Toby) ended up in the hospital.
They also started out as friendly figures before it was revealed that they were working with the main villains.
Both Yu and Chris use stamina-type Beyblades and are prodigies when it comes to Beyblade.
Libra and Orion also have free-spinning tips.
After their defeats against Gingka, they realized the true meaning of Beyblade and both eventually became friends with him.
Yu has famously developed a habit of giving his friends nicknames, such as Tatekyo/Yoyo for Kyoya or Gingin/Gingky for Gingka.
Madoka, Tsubasa, and Masamune are among the few people who didn’t receive nicknames, although Yu originally tried to give one to Masamune: Masa-Mu-Mu.
Yu is the fourth character to defeat Gingka and the third to do it in a fair match, after Tetsuya, Ryuga, and Osamu (though Gingka wasn’t focused during the latter).
Yu is the only member of Team Gan Gan Galaxy who didn’t appear in Zero-G, not even receiving a cameo.
Despite being only a sub-member, Yu battled as much as Tsubasa did in the World Championship.
Both had two duels: Yu battled Aleksei and Enzo, while Tsubasa fought Chi-Un and Argo. They also fought together in duo battles twice (against teams Wild Fang and Excalibur), making them the members of Gan Gan Galaxy with the most team battles.
Along with Benkei, Tsubasa is one of the main characters from Fusion who never had an upgrade to their Bey.
In the manga, Yu, Tsubasa, and Reiji form a trio in Dark Nebula.
He is the second character not to have a spirit; instead, it manifests through his sound wave creation ability.
In episode 138 it was showned that Nemesis was able to replicate Libra's power.
The character Yu battled the most is Tsubasa Otori.

DC RP (OPEN)
There were lots of places in Gotham Wren liked to be at his leisure. He used to like lazy days in his apartment, but now he prefers lazy days in his boyfriend's home instead. Flying across the grey Gotham skies on Argo, feeling the wind in his hair. The surprisingly good burger and pizza place just around the corner that has the best onion rings in the city. But right now, Wren's favorite place was his workshop.
His "sanctuary", if you will. A rundown old building that used to be apartments once upon a time, but was left to fall apart and left abandoned. The city never bothered to disconnect it from the electricity grid, making it the perfect hidden place for a secret workshop.
Wren had done a lot of work on the place over the years. From the outside it looked like any old abandoned building in Crime Alley. But in reality, it was probably one of the most guarded places in all of Gotham outside the batcave itself. Illusions, cameras, automated guns, traps, misdirects, his own personal encrypting, biometric scanning, he even left quite a few duplicated objects cast around that he could feel if someone was touching them. All it took was spreading a jar of duplicate dust around the place and he could track what was happening in his sanctuary in real time.
The Ex-villain wasn't in the arms dealing business anymore.... mostly. But that didn't mean he didn't have things to work on, this was still his job after all. Gadgets and gizmos, brand new inventions he should probably get patented, and the occasional personal project. That's what he was working on right now, anyways.
Wren was hauling over giant pieces of metal that he'd stolen permanently borrowed some time ago into the middle of his work space, something that he'd been doing for the last hour and a bit now. He really needed to organize his spare parts better. As Wren was hauling over the last couple of pieces that honestly a guy his size shouldn't be able to carry, his camera beeped, and projected the image of someone waiting outside to come in. Probably a customer.
Wren walked over to the table and pressed a button, opening the door for the person to come it. "Seventh floor. Take the elevator. Stairs might fall apart on ya," He instructed through the microphone, getting right back to hauling parts. He waited and listening for the ding of the elevator, not turning around to face the new person as they entered the room.
"So, ya pickin' somethin' up? Or here 't make an order?" He asked, dropping off one of his final parts in the middle of the room.

‘Til Death
Chapter 11: Last Chance
Chapter 10: Three Little Words
Chapter 12: Hostile Takeover
Two days.
That’s how long Hades had left before he’d lose his powers. His flaming hair was alarmingly shorter than it was before, and (despite the fact that gods couldn’t get sick) he was starting to feel many flu-like symptoms such as chills, fatigue, and dizziness.
The god considered himself lucky to have had enough power to intimidate his exes like he did during his confrontation with them. Though his emotional outburst wasn’t as explosive and fiery as it usually was, it was enough to make Minthe and Leuke talk.
Hades was exhausted, to say the least. Blowing up at his exes consumed a lot of his power, and it really wore him out. As soon as he returned to the Underworld, he went straight for his throne and practically threw himself into it. He spent the rest of that evening there on his throne, contemplating. Not only did he need a plan to get Persephone back, but he needed to find a way to propose to her in such a fantastically romantic way that she’d agree to marry him after taking him back.
He silently cursed himself for waiting so long to propose. Hades had certainly planned on proposing to Persephone at the last minute, as proposing too soon would mean risking rejection and his relationship with her, but he wasn’t planning on waiting until the very last minute. Though, if Hades had it his way, he’d probably wait another year or two before popping the question, but unfortunately, he was on a time limit, and his time was running out fast.
Fortunately, Hades was the type of god that always had something up his sleeve, so it wasn’t too terribly difficult for him to come up with a good plan. Was it going to be risky? Yes, very. Was it going to work? He had no idea, but he loved Persephone with every ounce of his being, and he was going to make sure she knew it. He made a solemn vow to himself that night on his throne that he’d never make Persephone think twice about his love for her ever again.
~X~X~X~X~
After a rather short night’s sleep, Hades woke up the next day, ready to put “Operation: Last Chance Romance” (as he liked to call it) into action. At this point, he only had until tomorrow at sundown to get Persephone to marry him. He needed this plan to work. Everything was on the line.
Hades ended up tracking Persephone down at a little glade in Argos, doing her usual planting and defrosting of the lands. He hid behind a large oak tree as he watched her from afar, melting the frost and snow from the ground and trees.
She waved her hands in a broad, slow-sweeping motion around the small area of the glade, using her powers to turn the lifeless brown grass a bright and brilliant green before directing her attention back to the trees. With a flick of her wrist, the bare trees sprouted big, beautiful leaves and sweet-smelling fruit blossoms from their branches.
Hades loved watching her work. He admired the way she could easily turn the cold and frozen earth into a warm and vibrant oasis, and he adored the focused look on her face as she grew colorful flowers and plants from the ground, making sure they looked positively perfect for the season.
As much as he wanted to stand there all day watching her, he had to go talk to her; he couldn’t afford to waste too much time.
While Persephone had her back turned away from him, he took the opportunity to come out from behind the tree and reveal himself. He crossed his arms and smiled, “Hey, Rosebud.”
Persephone jumped in surprise as she quickly turned around to face him. “Hades!” She gasped, her expression immediately going from surprised to disgruntled and annoyed as she turned back around.
“What do you want?” She asked, her voice laced with bitterness.
“I just wanna—“ Hades was then cut off by the sound of galloping hooves approaching at full speed. Next thing he knew, Thallo was right in front of him, huffing and pointing her sharp horn right at his face.
“Woah! Woah! Hey-ya!” He exclaimed as he threw his hands up in defense.
Persephone glanced back at the scene, unbothered. Her immediate instinct was to go over and stop Thallo from poking his eye out, but she was still pretty upset with him, so instead, she just shook her head and rolled her eyes as she went back to tending to the land.
“Go away, Hades.” She demanded.
Hades craned his neck back to avoid the unicorn’s horn as he tried to lean his head to the side to look over at Persephone.
“Look, I just wanna talk to you for a minute, and then I’m outta your hair, okay? Just—can ya—can ya call off the royal steed, please? C’mon.” He asked.
Persephone sighed and closed her eyes, trying to ignore the small voice in the back of her head saying "This is a bad idea! Just ignore him and walk away!". Reluctantly, she turned around and approached the god and the unicorn.
“It’s alright, Thallo. I’ll take it from here.” She softly assured the unicorn as she petted her mane.
Thallo was hesitant to back down and stomped her hoof as she moved her horn closer to Hades, who was now craning his head back as far as he could. Persephone smiled as she continued to pet her mane in attempts to calm her down a bit.
“Go on. It’s okay. I’ll be alright.” She reassured her.
The unicorn glanced at Persephone before looking back at Hades and snorting. She then slowly backed away from Hades and turned around to go graze in the glade while still remaining vigilant and wary of the fiery blue stranger.
Hades adjusted his chiton as he let out an exasperated sigh. “Sheesh. What’s the deal with Seabiscuit over there, huh? She didn’t get her oats this morning?” He asked, gesturing to the unicorn across the glade.
Persephone ignored his sarcastic and witty questions as she gave him a stern look. “I’m really busy, Hades. Just tell me what you want so I can get back to work.”
Hades sighed quietly, his expression becoming more soft and solemn as he looked into her eyes. “Look, I…I know why you left me, and I came back because I needed you to know…that I love you too. Really and truly, babe.”
He gently took her hands in his, just as he did before they broke up, desperately hoping that she could see that his words were sincere.
Persephone was expressionless, unsure of how to feel as a mix of emotions came rushing to her all at once from what he had just said. Her initial reaction was delight. She’s been waiting for months to hear him say that! However, the fact that it took him this long to say those words back to her made her very upset.
She pulled her hands away from Hades, and looked at him with a hurt expression. “If that’s true, then why didn’t you tell me sooner?” She asked.
“Because I…”
The god looked at the ground for a moment as if the right words he was searching for were somehow etched into the soil beneath him. He looked back up at Persephone, seeing the hurt and the pain he had caused her, and that alone was all the motivation he needed to speak from his heart.
Giving her an apologetic expression, he continued, "I loved you way before the night you kissed me…and I guess I was just so caught up in loving you and finally knowing that you loved me back that I just…I never realized I forgot to tell you…But you gotta believe me when I tell you that I really did love you when we were together…and I still do.” Hades gently cupped her cheek as he looked deep into her eyes, practically pleading for her forgiveness.
“I’m really sorry, Persephone.”
She believed him. The god was a master at charming and schmoozing his way into getting what he wanted, but she could tell that there was not one hint of deception or dishonesty in his words. Though, despite all of this, she was still very hesitant to accept his apology. He may not have meant to, but he really hurt her. She couldn’t just forgive him so quickly after breaking her heart, even if it wasn’t intentional.
Persephone reached up to remove his hand from her cheek. “Well, it’s a little too late for ‘sorry’ now.” She told him as she turned to walk away from him.
Hades sighed and followed suit. “Hey, look, I know I screwed up big time, okay? I can admit that. Not even the gods are perfect. You know that better than anyone.” He said as Persephone stopped in her tracks.
He was right. He wasn’t perfect…and neither was she. No matter how hard she tried to be the perfect goddess everyone made her out to be, to please everyone and meet their expectations...she wasn't perfect.
They may be divine entities that mortals worship and adore, but they’re not flawless. They make mistakes just like everyone else. Even Zeus has made a mistake once or twice.
She never expected Hades to be perfect, and he never expected her to be perfect either…because their imperfections were what they loved about each other the most. All Persephone wanted was to hear that she was loved, to have the reassurance that Hades cared for her as much as she did for him, and Hades had made the mistake of forgetting to tell her. Not because he didn’t, but because he did. Always.
The goddess made her way towards a large magnolia tree she had recently defrosted and blossomed, hiding behind the large trunk to escape Hades’ line of sight for a moment. The god slowly approached her from behind before leaning on the side of the tree trunk, peeking his head over to catch a glimpse of her.
“All I ask is that you give me another chance. Let me make it up to you with one more date. Tonight. When you’re done for the day, I’ll take you out, and I’ll show you the most romantic night of your immortal life, and hey, if ya still hate me after that, then fine. Boom. I’m gone. I’ll leave you alone, and you’ll never hear from me again.” Hades suggested as he came around to fully meet her behind the tree.
Persephone turned to face him, unsure of whether she should accept his offer or not. “I… I don’t know…” She replied hesitantly as she looked down at the ground.
Hades gently brushed her bangs back so he could get a better look at her beautiful face. “C’mon, babe. Just one last chance. That’s all I’m askin’ for.”
The goddess looked up at him for a moment before looking back down again. If she said yes, was she going to regret it? Once again, she secretly wished that someone could just tell her the right choice to make.
“Please, Seph…Do you want me to beg? Because I’ll do anything to get you to say yes, alright? So, if beggin’ on my hands and knees is what it takes, I'll do it.” Hades playfully pleaded, trying to lighten the mood a little in order to ease both his and her anxiety.
“Hades…” Persephone lightly chuckled as she watched Hades crouch down to get on his hands and knees.
“Look! See! Here, I’m gettin’ on my—"
Persephone chuckled a little louder and grabbed Hades’ arms to pull him up before he could completely touch the ground, slightly amused that he was willing to make such a fool of himself for her. “Okay! Alright…I’ll give you one last chance.”
Hades smiled with delight as he pointed at her. “Great! I promise you’re not gonna regret it, babe.” He assured her as he watched her smile as well.
He then gazed at her for a moment, adoring her cute little smile before slowly leaning in for a kiss. Persephone quickly placed two fingers over his lips to stop his face from coming any closer to hers as she gave him a slightly annoyed look.
“Too soon?” He asked, his speech muffled a bit by her fingers still on his lips.
“Mmm-hmm.” She nodded.
“Right. Yeah, my bad.”

Once evening finally hit, and Artemis shot the bright and beautiful moon up into the night sky with her arrow, Hades made his way to the gates of the Underworld, where Pain and Panic were finishing setting up everything for his big date with Persephone.
“Here?” Pain asked tiredly as he pushed a large and heavy vase filled with wet soil and a mixed bouquet of deadly nightshade and forget-me-nots near the gates while huffing and puffing and struggling to catch his breath.
“Hmm, a little more to the left.” Panic responded as he stood in front of Pain and the large vase, trying to envision where the plant would look best.
Pain continued pushing the vase with a strained grunt before Panic spoke up.
“No, no! My left! Not your left!”
The round imp glared at his friend as he threw his hands up in the air in frustration. “Well, you could’ve told me that instead of just standing there!” He snapped.
“I’m not just standing here!“ Panic declared before he and Pain began to bicker amongst themselves.
Hades, who had been watching all of this unamused, rolled his eyes and grabbed the imps by their long, pointed tails, holding them upside down as he gave them an annoyed scowl.
“Alright, listen, you knuckleheads! I am not gonna put up with any of your idiotic nonsense! This is an extremely important night for me, and if you two screw this up, I am gonna rip your heads off and mount them on my wall, then feed the remains to Cerberus! Do I make myself clear?!"
The imps gulped before replying in unison, “Crystal, sir.”
“Great, so what are you two gonna be tonight?” Hades asked with a fake smile.
“Err, quiet and out of the way?” Pain guessed anxiously as he and Panic tensed up in anticipation of some form of bodily harm.
“Bingo.” Hades replied as he let go of their tails; both imps quickly shapeshifting into a pair of fish as they flopped around on the ground.
Hades then looked up at the night sky, observing the position of the moon. “It’s getting late. I gotta go pick up Persephone.” He said as he made his way over to his gryphon-led chariot that was waiting for him not too far away.
Normally, Hades would’ve just manifested himself to Persephone, but seeing as how he had very little power left, he thought it’d be best not to push his luck. He also thought a nice little chariot ride across the starry sky would score him some “romantic bonus points” with Persephone.
Hades stepped onto the chariot and grabbed the reins as Pain and Panic, now back in their original imp form, wandered up to him with eager smiles.
“Don’t worry, boss!” Pain assured Hades as he gave him a thumbs up, “We got everything under control!”
“Yeah, we promise this date is gonna go off without a hitch! No problemo!” Panic cheerfully added.
Hades just rolled his eyes before pulling on the reins and taking off into the night sky as Pain and Panic waved at him from below.
“He didn’t buy that, did he?” Panic asked quietly with a smile plastered on his face as he continued to wave.
“Nope.”

Persephone sighed as she looked up at the sky, sitting on the stone bench of her temple garden once again. The sun had set, and the moon and stars were now the only source of light in the small floral oasis (when they weren’t being covered up by the clouds drifting by).
Hades had promised to meet her at her temple that evening for their big date. The goddess repetitively tapped her fingers on the bench to release some of her nervous energy as she anxiously waited for Hades to arrive.
“I really hope I’m making the right decision here.” She thought to herself as she watched the skies, wondering if Hades would show up by chariot…or even show up at all.
Suddenly, a chariot came into view through a group of clouds. Persephone stood from the bench as she watched Hades land his monster head-shaped chariot in front of her as his griffon that led the chariot let out a loud shriek.
Hades exited the chariot while casually surveying the area with that signature smirk of his. Persephone watched as he approached a row of tall, white marble columns that supported the roof of her temple. Spiral vines of small, light pink flowers wrapped around each pillar, the brilliant white of the marble bringing out the beautiful and delicate shades of light pink.
“Wow, nice temple ya got here. It’s…pretty.”
Persephone raised her brow and smiled a little, unsure of whether that was meant to be a genuine compliment or a playful jab at her taste in decor. “Not as nice as yours, I’m sure.” She said while crossing her arms.
“Hey, nobody’s temple can compare to 'temple de la Hades', okay? It’s got everything a god could ever want in a place of mortal worship. Genuine black marble architecture, finely crafted torches that would make Hephaestus jealous, and a monumental, and very handsome, statue of yours truly.” Hades replied with a cocky grin.
Persephone rolled her eyes and smiled as she shook her head.
“But, I gotta say…” Hades said as he too crossed his arms and leaned against the marble column, “…yours is by far the most impressive I’ve ever seen. In fact, I think it actually knocks mine outta first place.”
A brief look of surprise flashed across Persephone’s face, as she was expecting more of a sarcastic and arrogant comment rather than a sweet and charming sentiment. She gave him a small smile and looked away.
“Thanks.” She said quietly as she brushed some of her hair behind her ear.
Hades smiled before promptly making his way over to her. “So, whaddya say we take to the skies, huh? Your chariot awaits, mademoiselle.” He proposed as he offered her his hand while gesturing to the chariot with the other. Persephone’s small smile grew slightly as she took his hand, letting him guide her into the chariot.
“I’ll be honest with you, it’s been a while since I’ve ridden in a chari-OT!” Persephone yelped as the griffon quickly took off from the ground and back into the sky. She immediately clung onto Hades’ side, trying to keep her balance as they flew through the warm spring air.
Hades smirked with amusement as he looked down at Persephone’s slightly terrified expression. He then commanded the griffon to fly up higher past the clouds where the moon and stars shone so wonderfully bright.
After a few moments, Persephone, now feeling a little more calm and grounded in the chariot, let go of Hades as she looked around the sky. She was completely entranced by the beauty of the night, stepping closer to the edge of the chariot to carefully look down. Glimpses of the earth below passed by through the small gaps and holes of the clouds beneath the chariot. They were very high up in the air now, but Persephone wasn’t scared. She never really was one to fear heights (despite being so thrown off by the chariot taking flight just moments before), but knowing that Hades was there by her side certainly made her feel a lot safer to be at such a high altitude.
The goddess smiled as she reached her arm out of the chariot to scoop up a chunk of fluffy white clouds into her hand. She then took the handful of clouds into both of her hands to relish the feeling of it.
Believe it or not, fresh clouds (like the ones you see in the sky every day) felt a bit different from the clouds that made up Mount Olympus. Both were soft and fluffy, of course, but the clouds in the sky had such a natural smoothness and airiness to them that was just so pleasing to the touch. There’s a reason why mortals compare things such as pillows and blankets to the clouds.
Persephone giggled before blowing the chunk of fluffy clouds out of her hands, watching it float away in the breeze like foamy bubbles. Hades watched her with a soft, adoring expression as he continued steering the chariot, now approaching a flock of geese flying in formation.
Hades steered the chariot to the side, the flock now on Persephone’s side of the chariot, as they flew at the same speed. Persephone grinned and gently petted the head of the goose leading the flock, who gave a happy little honk at her kind and gentle gesture.
The chariot then began to speed up as they neared their destination. Hades used the reins to steer the gryphon downwards as they made a smooth landing on a mountain trail that led to the gates of the Underworld.
Hades stepped out of the chariot first so he could take Persephone’s hand to help her out (though she didn’t really need any assistance; Hades just wanted to be a gentleman…and find another excuse to hold her hand).
“So, what did you have planned for tonight? An evening nature hike?” Persephone asked playfully as she and Hades made their way up the trail side by side.
“Nah, you’ll see.” Hades answered with a wink.
Soon, the pair reached the gates where a beautiful scene awaited them. Tall black lanterns lit up the surrounding area as two large and quite beautiful vases (that Pan had painstakingly moved around) filled with nightshade and forget-me-nots sat on each side of the gate.
Across the gates sat a round table, overlooking the golden grassy hills below that looked so ethereal under the glowing light of the full moon. The table was adorned with a black tablecloth and two dark-colored marble chairs on opposite sides of the table. Atop the tablecloth sat 2 sets of plates, elegant black-colored silverware, scarlet-colored cloth napkins, and a pair of dark-colored goblets that looked very similar to the ones Hades had used during their first picnic together; however, these goblets looked much more elegant.
Right in the middle of the ornate table sat a black candelabra burning brightly, the fire’s glow making the whole setup look ever so enchanting.
“Ba-boom. A romantic candlelit dinner for two.” Hades said as he presented her with the stunning display.
Persephone was astounded by all of the decor. She couldn’t believe that Hades had taken the time and effort to create such a gorgeous site just for her (even though Pain and Panic did most of the work).
“Wow!” She gasped quietly in amazement as she took in the scenery. “It’s beautiful, Hades. You’ve really outdone yourself.”
Hades smiled and shrugged. “Hey, it was nothin’.” He humbly replied as he led her over to the table, pulling out her chair before taking a seat.
As soon as the two were seated, Pain and Panic came out, wearing white togas and laurel wreaths on their heads in order to look more “fancy” for the occasion. Pain held two covered silver platters, being extra careful not to trip and drop them as Panic held a pitcher of nectar. Pain then placed the platters on the table in front of the deities as Panic took their goblets and filled them with the nectar.
“My Lord and Lady, your dinner is served.” Pain announced, trying to sound very formal and refined as he lifted the covers of the platters to reveal their delicious meal: chicken giouvetsi (Greek chicken and pasta).
“Bon appétit.” Panic said as he and Pain bowed to the gods before backing away and out of sight.
“Looks good. I love chicken.” Persephone remarked with a smile as she observed the dish.
“I know. I remember. You told me that on our first date.” Hades told her as he smiled back and picked up his goblet to take a sip of nectar.
“So, it was a date. I thought it was just ‘eating and talking.’” Persephone said while picking up her fork.
“Of course it was a date! I just didn’t call it a date at the time because I didn’t know if you were into me, and I didn’t wanna scare ya off.” Hades admitted.
Persephone gave a small smile before taking a small bite of the food. Her eyes immediately lit up as she looked at Hades. “Oh, wow. This is amazing!” She gushed as she went for another bite.
“Yeah, it’s my mom’s recipe.” Hades told her with a smile as he took a bite from his own plate.
Persephone stopped chewing for a moment and froze. “Wait, your mom made this?” She asked in disbelief, covering her mouth as she spoke.
“Well, I made it, actually. I just followed her recipe.” Hades said as he continued eating.
“I didn’t know you could cook.” Persephone said, glancing up at Hades for a quick second.
“Yeah, my ma taught me everything I know about cooking. Obviously, my forte is grilling and roasting, but I know how to make a good home-cooked meal too, y’know? I’ll admit, I’m not much of a baker, though. I’ve burned just about every pastry I’ve ever made. It’s crazy. I can roast a pig, but I can’t bake a bundt.” Hades confessed.
Persephone giggled softly. “Funny, I'm the total opposite. I’m great at baking things, but when it comes to cooking…it literally turns to ashes in your mouth.” She revealed.
Hades chuckled at the irony as he picked up his goblet once again to take another sip of nectar. “I guess we’ll have to give each other some culinary lessons then, huh?”
Persephone giggled in response as she continued eating. She then glanced up at Hades once more and noticed how short and weak his hair looked. She couldn’t exactly put her finger on it, but something about him just didn’t seem right.
“Are you okay?” She asked gently as she looked at him with a bit of concern.
Hades gave her a confused look as he put his goblet back down on the table. “Yeah. Why?” He asked with a chuckle.
“You just look…tired….and your hair is kinda…shorter. Are you sure you’re okay?”
He gave her a reassuring grin as he replied, “Trust me, babe. I’m fine. Never felt better.”
Persephone looked at him skeptically before resuming her meal. She could tell he was lying, but she didn’t want to press him further on the subject, so she dropped it altogether.

Back in the depths of the Underworld, Hecate stood over an enchanted dark cauldron, her winged minions Canis and Lupus by her side as they watched Hades and Persephone’s dinner date play out through the water’s reflection.
“Awww, isn’t that cute? Poor Hades thinks he still has a chance.” Hecate mocked in feigned pity before letting out an evil cackle. She then manifested a sand dial into her hand, the top half nearly empty as the sand continued to endlessly fall to the bottom.
“How pitiful. The god really believes he can get her to marry him with a tacky and cliché candlelit dinner after that messy breakup.” Canis remarked with a toothy grin.
“Imagine being in that much denial over your fate. It’s sad, really. I can’t bear to watch!” Lupus agreed as he dramatically turned his head away from the cauldron and covered his eyes with his large paw. “Pass the popcorn.”
“In less than 24 hours the Underworld will be in my control. Finally, I’ll be getting what I deserve after all these centuries of blind obedience to that pathetic excuse for a god!” Hecate proclaimed as she watched the sand in the hourglass fall.
“In fact…” Hecate thought aloud as she looked back at the cauldron, “I think the Underworld is already as good as mine.”
Hecate’s lips curled into a cat-like grin as she promptly manifested the hourglass away in a cloud of thick, indigo smoke. “Come along, boys! I believe it's time I get an early start on claiming this domain as my own.” Hecate called out to the pair of empusa who eagerly followed her into the darkness.

Once Hades and Persephone had finished their meal, they were treated to a lovely dessert (that Hades had fortunately bought from a bakery) of galaktoboureko (a custard-filled filo pie), which was a dessert Persephone was very fond of. The couple idly chatted as they ate their confectionery treat until Hades noticed a bit of custard on Persephone’s face, right in between the corner of her mouth and nose. It looked as if she hadn’t even noticed the spot, as she was happily enjoying her dessert.
She looked up for a moment and caught Hades' fond stare that made her feel both flattered and slightly self-conscious.
“What?” She asked with a small chuckle as she raised her brow.
Hades chuckled as well and pointed to his face, trying to mirror where the custard was on her face. “You, uh, got a little schmutz there.”
Persephone’s face flushed rosy red with embarrassment as she frantically searched for the cloth napkin she had forgotten she placed on her lap.
“Oh, sorry! I-I’ve, um, always been such a messy eater. It’s a bad habit of mine.” She confessed.
“It’s okay.” Hades assured her as he grabbed his own napkin from the table. He then stood from his chair a bit and leaned over the table to get closer to her. “I got it.” He said, placing one hand gently under her chin as he wiped her face with the other, admiring her beautiful pastel pink skin and that adorable round face of hers.
Persephone froze as she let Hades wipe the custard off of her face, watching his calm and focused amber-colored eyes as he did so. Their eyes met as Hades lowered the napkin away from her face, his other hand still softly caressing her chin.
Persephone started to feel the familiar fluttery feeling in her stomach again. The same feeling she had when she was first falling in love with Hades as she found herself completely entranced by his gaze.
“Has anyone ever told you how…gorgeous your eyes look under the moonlight?” Hades asked with an affectionate smile.
Persephone began to blush even more, her cheeks now a bright, rosy red as she smiled, her eyes still fixed on Hades’. “Not until now.” She quietly replied.
Pain and Panic, who had been watching the couple from the sidelines, looked at each other with a delighted grin. They gave each other a wink before grabbing a harp and a flute, playing a slow little tune to enhance the mood. Hades and Persephone glanced at the imps for a brief moment before looking back at each other.
“May I have this dance?” Hades asked with a chivalrous grin as he stood up straight and took his hand away from her chin, now offering it to her to hold.
Persephone glanced at his hand, then back to his face as she nervously brushed a lock of hair behind her ear. “I, um…I’m honestly not much of a dancer. I’ve kinda got two left feet.”
Hades smirked and walked over to the side of the table, tilting his head to the side to try and catch a glimpse of Persephone’s legs that were slightly hidden under the table. “I dunno. Your feet look pretty normal to me.” He joked with a playful smirk and a shrug.
Persephone softly chuckled as she shyly looked away from him. Hades moved a bit closer to her and offered his hand once more in hopes that she would take it. She hesitated, nervously shifting glances between his warm, anticipated smile and his open hand.
“C’mon, you’ll be fine. Just trust me.” Hades reassured her, trying to ease her obvious anxiety.
Persephone looked back down at his hand one last time before taking a short, quiet breath. She gently placed her hand in his and rose from her seat. as Hades guided her over to a spacious area near the Underworld gates where Pain and Panic were still playing the music.
He tried not to laugh as he watched her try to nervously figure out where she should put her hands so they could dance, looking almost lost, like the dancing was a foreign concept to her. She obviously didn't get asked to dance very much, and Hades found that to be quite a shame.
"Seriously, who wouldn't wanna dance with someone as gorgeous as her?" He thought to himself.
He then proceeded to guide one of Persephone’s arms to his shoulder as the other continued to hold her hand. Then, he placed his hand on her side as she looked up at him, with uncertainty, but Hades just kept his adoring gaze fixed on her as he confidently began to lead her into a slow waltz.
Persephone’s body was tense and stiff as she followed Hades’ lead, worried that she could ruin everything if she let herself move even an inch. She looked down at watching her steps to make sure she wouldn’t accidentally trod on his feet.
Hades let out a soft chuckle as he watched Persephone dance so cautiously, finding it so sweet and adorable that she was trying to be so careful. He removed his hand from her side for a beat to lift her head up by her chin in an attempt to adjust her focus on him rather than her feet.
He gave her a sentimental smile as their eyes met yet again, and at that moment, Persephone immediately felt all of her anxieties melt away as the tight muscles in her arms and legs started to loosen up and relax. Her thoughts were no longer burdened by the idea of stepping on Hades’ feet or making a fool of herself in front of him.
The longer they danced, the more comfortable Persephone became. She smiled and giggled as Hades would spin her around or dip her. Eventually, she started getting closer and closer to Hades until her arms were around his neck, the couple tenderly gazing at each other face to face.
It was as if nothing else in the cosmos mattered anymore, and they were the only 2 beings on the Earth. Neither of them wanted this moment to end. All they wanted was to be there with each other, holding each other close as they swayed under the moon and the stars; their eyes remained completely fixed on the other's.
Hades, his expression as tender and loving as Persephone has ever seen it, leaned in closer, their lips just barely meeting as he whispered to her slowly and softly, his eyes still locked with hers.
“I love you.”
Both Hades and Persephone simultaneously closed the small gap between them as they shared a sweet kiss.
They separated for a moment, looking into each other's eyes once again, sharing an enchanted, love-struck expression.
“I love you too.” Persephone whispered back with a dreamy smile as she rested her head in the crook of his neck.
~X~X~X~X~
Hades and Persephone had eventually found themselves underneath a beautiful blooming dogwood tree that rested further up on the mountain past the gates. It seemed the view from that particular spot was even more picturesque than before as tiny fireflies danced around in the distance of the golden peaks.
Hades lovingly held Persephone close as they quietly looked out at the scenic landscape together, enjoying the sounds of the nocturnal wildlife and chirping crickets.
Hades looked down at the divine pink goddess in his arms as his fond smile grew wider. Never did he think that he could ever experience a love like this…like hers, but there he was: holding the gorgeous goddess of spring in his arms. A goddess that despised him months ago and was merely a pawn in his elaborate scheme, now the love of his immortal life and the only deity in the cosmos that truly knew him for who he was.
“Y’know, somethin’?” Hades said, breaking the comfortable silence.
Persephone looked up at him with a wistful smile. “Hmm?”
“I think I gotta be the luckiest god in the cosmos to have someone as gorgeous, and brilliant, and…utterly magnificent as you around. I swear, ever since I met you, you’ve turned my entire Underworld upside down…in a good way, of course.”
Persephone’s smile grew as she listened to him speak, his words making her feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Hades stopped holding her for a moment to reach into his himation to reveal the golden daffodil he had planted for her when they first met, still thriving and glowing just as bright as it had the day she picked it from the flower field. She gasped softly as her eyes lit up. She took the flower as Hades handed it to her, holding it delicately in her hands.
“The daffodil…you…you kept it after all this time?”
He nodded with a kind and gentle smile, “Yeah.”
Persephone continued admiring the enchanted as she lightly brushed her fingers atop the soft golden petals. Hades took a short, silent breath as he nervously rubbed the back of his neck.
“Listen, there’s uh…there’s somethin’ important I’ve been meaning to ask you for a while now...”
Persephone looked up from the flower, giving him her full attention. Hades glanced at the ground for a second, trying to work up the courage to say what he needed to say.
“I, uh…I know this is really sudden…and we haven’t been together for very long, but…honestly, babe…I just can’t see myself without you. I’ve never met anyone like you. You’re so different from all those jerks up there on Olympus. You’re the only goddess in the entire cosmos that truly…gets me, y’know?”
Persephone smiled as she listened intently, holding the daffodil close to her chest while Hades continued to speak.
“I can’t get enough of ya, babe. I love everything about you. That adorable little smile, those sparkling eyes of yours that I always find myself getting lost in, your cherubic voice…the way your cheeks get all red and blush-y when I compliment you. The list goes on and on, babe. We’ll be here for days if I keep goin'.”
Persephone giggled bashfully as she looked away. He gently brushed her bangs to the side as he continued to speak, “You’re all I’ve ever wanted and more…You’re everything to me. I love you, Persephone…and I just wanna keep loving you for the rest of eternity.”
Hades knelt to the ground as he gently took Persephone’s hand in his. Persephone’s mouth opened slightly as she realized what was going on, keeping the daffodil close to her chest in her clenched hand while Hades lovingly gazed up at her.
“Persephone…will you marry me?”
Persephone was speechless; her mind raced. All she could do was stare at him as he patiently (and anxiously) awaited her answer.
Hades really wasn’t kidding when he said this was “kinda sudden”. She wasn’t expecting this at all. This was such a huge decision. She was truly at a loss for words and unsure of what to do or say. So many questions and uncertainties crossed her mind at that moment.
Was she ready for this? For marriage? For Hades? He just recently gained back her love and trust in him, but did she love and trust him enough to spend the rest of eternity with him as his wife? Would she be making a colossal mistake if she agreed to marry him?
Sure, Hades was a wonderful and clearly devoted boyfriend, but would he be the same if he became her husband? Would he be the same god he is now? Would they be able to function as a married couple, or did they only work better as boyfriend and girlfriend…or even just friends?
Again, she had secretly wished that someone could tell her what to do, as she was so used to having someone speak for her, to guide and direct her decisions because they knew what was best for her. However, this was not the kind of decision someone could make for her. Only she could decide what was best for her, and this was exactly the kind of freedom she wanted. To be able to make big decisions like this without someone else’s say. She just wished that this wasn’t such a difficult decision to make.
Persephone looked deeply into Hades’ eyes, searching for the right answer. Searching for even just a single hint of doubt that he loved her, that his words were nothing but a string of lies, that he didn’t really want to devote his entire immortal life to loving her and only her…but she couldn’t. All she could see in those amber eyes of his was love.
Pure, true love and devotion for her.
She realized then that there really was no reason for her to believe that he didn’t love her back. He came back for her. He created such a magical and beautiful night for the two of them…for her. He finally told her that he loves her and everything that was on his heart. Now, here he was on bended knee, asking for her hand in marriage, never wanting to lose her again. Hades, the Lord of the Dead and God of the Underworld, was asking her to become his wife and eternal love.
He truly loved her…and she truly loved him. She never stopped loving him…and she never will.
There was only one sure answer she had for him. Tears began to form in the corner of her eyes as she opened her mouth to reply, her voice soft and quivering as she spoke.
“Yes.”
Persephone smiled as the tears in her eyes began to overflow and fall down her rosy cheeks, watching as Hades’ eyes lit up with joy. “Yes!” She happily wept with a nod, confidently confirming her answer.
Hades let out a breath he didn’t even realize he was holding and grinned as he stood from the ground to hold Persephone close. She quickly leaned in to kiss him lovingly and passionately as she held his face. Hades returned her kiss as he wrapped his arms around her waist, taking in every second of this wonderful moment.
“Y’know, you really had me goin’ there for a minute.” Hades chuckled after breaking their kiss.
Persephone chuckled as she sniffled and wiped her cheeks with the back of her hand, trying (and failing) to stop crying. Hades wiped a tear away from her cheek with his thumb as he looked at her affectionately.
“I assume those are tears of joy and not tears of instant regret, right?” He joked.
Persephone laughed and continued to sniffle as she cuddled into his chest, still holding on to the daffodil.
“Yes, I promise. Definitely tears of joy.”
