Still thinking about the ask you answered a while ago mentioning Gordon n' Arden "chemistry" and was wondering if you had more thoughts about it you wanted to share! IDK why but I'm always so captivated when villains get a one-sided interest in a protagonist and causes problems on purpose about it; especially when said protagonist has their own love interests. It's just such a fun drama to rotate in my head and I'm so curious about how it'd go down with this cast

ok so yeah Arden deliberately targets Gordon to fuck with Ben. This is from flirting to threatening to maim/kill him. Using Gordon is also a way to make Benrey compliant, metaphorically and also literally using him like a shield.

Truth be told, Arden doesn’t really care for humans. He sees em’ as meat sacks with short life spans that are easy to mess with. (However Arden’s primary form is very visibly based on that of a screwed up inerpretation of a person so there’s something there he’s not admitting.)

Arden pretty much treats Gordon the same way- a pawn to get to Ben, with the added bonus of finding him sorta cute. (Must be a family thing.)

And you could probably understand that Gordon isn’t a huge fan. And it’s not like a Benrey situation where he sees him like a nuisance initially . He knows Arden would kill him without a second thought so he’s admittedly afraid- and also pissed off.

Tho I keep thinking of Arden making Gordon tango with him. For fun. Not even Ben is there he’s just doing it for his own amusement.

I guess it would fall into the “Villainous Crush” trope? Or maybe “Targeted to hurt the Hero” idk
