I've get an idea: the Arcane Valentine's day week

It's easy; every day from February 7th to February 14th I'll post an Arcane character x Reader based on Valentine's day theme.

BUT I need to find the order of the publishing list I thought you could help me to choose the order.

At the end of every post I'll do a poll to let you choose the next one.

Little note : it will be my first post for Mel and Sevika. Also, I didn't do a Vi and Pit Fighter Vi together same thing for Jinx and Powder because, for me, their different versions would celebrate Valentine's day differently.

her giving and receiving love language is physical touch. no questions asked. she is constantly seeking your warmth.

she’s almost always touching you; an arm around your waist or shoulder, pinkies intertwined, hands brushing, holding hands.

if you aren’t keen on physical touch, don’t worry! she would be willing to set boundaries with you.

she isn’t very good at drawing but she loves to draw you in the margins of notebooks. tries her best to remember what your smile looks like and how your eyes are shaped, even for low effort doodles.

Ok I have gone through all available evidence and I have a prediction.

Look I'm ngl I am watching Arcane for Cait and Vi. I love the show overall but this ship is what I'm most here for, especially after I spent the last 3 years under the assumption that Mel was dead. Glad she isn't. Point is, I really want CaitVi/Violyn/Piltover's Finest to be handled well, and I pay a disproportionate amount of attention to what happens with these two.

After watching the first arc of season 2 the other day, I was trying really hard to ignore the ending to episode 3. I didn't like that Cait hit Vi in the stomach and abandoned her in a pit after being all classist at her, but I thought, this is Arcane. Arcane is the greatest fucking thing I've ever seen, of course they're gonna find a way to make this work. But that made me think of it as a puzzle. How could they possibly make this work?

Option one, Cait sucks now and she and Vi don't get back together. I don't think this makes sense, because of the brand. CaitVi is a popular ship that just about everybody likes. A huge amount of the hype for this season before the trailers came out was building up assurances that don't worry, CaitVi is happening and it's not gonna be ambiguous. Take this teaser from like two weeks after season 1 ended, a couple of Valentine's Day icons, and one million tweets from Amanda Overton. Why the fuck would they make this season be about Cait and Vi not working out? It simply doesn't make logical sense.

Ok, so we're starting from the assumption that Cait and Vi have a happy ending that makes people feel like they should be together, and continue to want to play as them in the games and buy merchandise. That means they either explicitly get back together, or it's so implied there isn't much of a difference. My money is on zero ambiguity. Vi is the main character and Cait is maybe #3 or #4. Ambiguity about their ending would just look like a weak writing choice and they didn't know what they're doing. The Arcane writers don't tend to go for wishy washy.

But here's the problem. Domestic violence is bad. It's about the fastest way to guarantee the majority of your audience doesn't think two characters should be together. It would take a herculean effort on Cait's part to make up for that and honestly I still wouldn't believe it. To me, there isn't any kind of act of service that makes up for hitting your partner. Not even ensuring the independence of the nation of Zaun. Add on top of that the over the top hurtful comments about Vi's blood and class. It makes her look very much like, deep down, she thinks of Vi as beneath her. If she meant those things, a relationship between them is impossible. (Not to mention how many teenaged girls I know are watching this, and I don't want them to think it's ever okay to be treated like that, even in a fantasy series.)

So my prediction is this. The only way to make a relationship between Cait and Vi viable again is to render those comments and the sentiment they carry meaningless. How do the writers do that? Imo it turns out later that Cait intentionally came up with cruel things to say to cut Vi loose. She realized that Vi would never be able to kill Jinx, and this new explosion will make the situation aboveground even worse, and Vi still won't be able to contribute to the hunt after this. Vi has no future as an enforcer against Jinx and will probably get treated like dogshit as a Zaunite, so Cait is "breaking her heart to save her", as Tvtropes would say. In Cait's mind, it's better if she's left down here in Zaun.

What evidence do I have for this? It fits Cait's characterization as a genius who thinks quickly and several steps ahead. It fits the tiny animation details we zero in on of her stiffening her trembling lips and furled eyebrows. It un-ruins the most popular canon relationship in League. It allows act 1 to end on massive shock value but roll it back later to show that Cait actually does love Vi, enough to let her go for her own good.

I'm not arguing this is the best possible solution but it's the one I think they're going to go with. Amanda Overton and some others have repeatedly said that CaitVi fans will be happy with the ending to Arcane. Everything about the show(the opening, Netflix Brazil's Twitter account, the story) points to them being the show's OTP except for this one scene. I think Cait intentionally cut Vi out of her life by pretending to be much crueler than she wanted to be, to protect her and, likely, as a form of self destruction.

Day 2 on my Febuwhump Challenge, still on my Arcane ride. I promise there will be other characters and ships, I'm getting into Vincent Valentine week, and a couple prompts scream Castlevania to me, so keep an eye out for those.

Day 2- Holding Back Tears

A year, on the outside. Viktor still hadn’t even woken up, the doctor spoke to Jayce. Apparently Viktor had him listed as next of kin. Was he that alone, that his lab partner had been listed as his next of kin? That Jayce was all he had? Viktor was so small, in the hospital bed, the tubes and machines that allowed him to breathe. The heavy brace supporting his spine, building his leg. He was so small. So fragile.

Jayce held on to his cane, the one he had forged for Viktor, made to his measurements, one of the only ways Jayce could show him he was important. He was valued. He was loved, in his own way. He could feel the old familiar clench in his throat, the way his eyes grew hot, they hurt. He bit down on his lip, watched the machine count out the steady beep beep beep of Viktor’s heart beat. A year, on the outside. A year. A year, to achieve their dream of bringing magic to the world, of making lives easier. Of helping people. That was all Viktor had ever wanted to do, all he had ever talked about. Helping.

And now he was lying there, so small, so fragile, a year on the outside. And Jayce felt the sore, the ache behind his eyes, he hadn’t cried since he was so small, and his knuckles went white around the cane, and he fought the tears. If Viktor woke up, if he saw Jayce like this. If, if. Everything an if, everything so uncertain. Jayce shook, and he didn’t cry.

“I know you’re just so busy and I really appreciate you making time for me within your schedule.” I’m rearranging my tools, putting some away into my well-worn toolbox and belt, cleaning up any mess I’ve made from the attaching and taking apart.

She furrows her brows before running her hands through her silky hair, another habit I’ve noticed. It’s down this time compared to all of the other occasions they were in cute updos.

Can’t help but wonder if it’s at all related to the off hand “You look pretty with your hair down,” comment I made last time I was here.

Our Long National Nightmare is Over!

Since Valentines Day of this year, my computer has been on and off unusable, due to a corruption in a critical part of the operating system I am 97% sure was caused by a cosmic ray, the universe itself out to inconvenience me by way of an attack from across the cosmos.

An update would, every month, stick at 20% and refuse to update any further, while repeatedly trying to download the update, slowing the computer to a crawl for hours, and days, at a time, the disk's time being eaten away. The only way around this was to wait until the update was declared failed and to then pause update receiving, navigating agonizingly slowly through interfaces that simply did not respond due to the futile processes taking place.

But I SOLVED IT! It only took seven and a half months of trying, but I solved it at long last!

I reinstalled windows, but this opened up a much older issue, one where certain websites would simply fail to load. This was a result of me having uninstalled a piece of bloatware, but it reinstalling when I put the operating system in place, but the console for the bloatware failing to reinstall, forcing me to reinstall the bloatware from an external drive so as to get the console back to turn off the feature that caused the issue.

Then the issue reoccurred anyway. I refused the call, I came to believe there was nothing to be done. I swore to live with it, and live with it I did, threatening to destroy suburbs of Toronto at least once every five weeks as I struggled to repause the updates. But then, in a horrifying turn, the issue began to occur even without the updates, the disk being at full 100% usage at all times, for no apparent reason! At last, I turned, desperate, and prepared to purchase a new computer, though my funds were lacking.

But I struck out, to try one last time to fix it. And lo, I did turn off several optimization services known to cause issues in certain cases, and lo, I did enter once again the three eldritch commands in the arcane console of despair, the three commands I had chanted a dozen times before to no avail. The first command ran without incident. This was expected, it had never had issue before.

The second command too, ran as expected, without incident.

The third command ran. It took many hours, but it ran, and ran, and it did RESOLVE WITHOUT ISSUE, something it had not previously done. I hoped against hope this had solved the issue, and lo, today, the update pause ended.

And with a press of a button and five hours of agony, waiting, threatening to become an anarcho-primitivist, and plotting the downfall of my many enemies...

VICTORY WAS AT LONG LAST OBTAINED!

And that, children of the storm, is the story of how I defeated the machinations of the universe itself, its foolish cosmic ray bested at last, and how my dark designs upon all reality can now continue unimpeded.

summary: It has recently come to your attention that Viktor has a sweet tooth. You, of course, use this newfound knowledge for evil — or, to be exact, to spoil him.

“You've, uh, got a little something on your face”, Jayce, ever helpful, pointed out as soon as you entered the lab, holding a covered tray in your hands.

“I'm aware.”

You huffed as a stray strand of hair fell over your eyes, effectively hindering your ability of sight. “I just wanted to get these to you before they cool off. They taste better when warm.”

“Oh? What did you make this time?” Jayce seemed almost embarrassingly eager.

“Just some chocolate cake. I thought it'd be perfect for this kind of weather.” You frowned at the rain that was currently hitting the window. Then, a smirk made your lips curl. “Besides, I know someone here has a preference for sweet stuff.”

Jayce raised his eyebrows in response, questioning. “I do?”

“What?”

For just a second, you looked just as confused as he did, before you shook your head with a laugh while placing two pieces of cake on plates you had brought for the occasion. “No, I meant Viktor.”

“No way Viktor likes sweets.” Jayce frowned, obviously flabbergasted by the sole idea of that being true. “He seems more like a coffee and bitter peppermint bonbon type of guy.”

“I saw him dump five pieces of sugar into his coffee last week”, you pointed out. “He's definitely not a bitter peppermint bonbon guy. We're in a relationship, I should know. If anything, he's a hot cocoa with marshmallows guy.”

“I have no idea what that means”, Viktor suddenly said, apparently not too focused on his work to blend your conversation out, “But I'm also not sure if I want to know.”

He made his way over to where you and Jayce were gathered around the cake while talking, cane clinking against the floor.

“You've got chocolate frosting on your cheek.”

Viktor tilted his head to the side, an oddly feline gesture. “I'll get it for you.”

He leaned forward, lips soon pressing to your cheek to lick the chocolate off you in a chaste kiss.

Jayce scoffed, though there was a smile painted onto his face. “Alright, alright, you're both cute and in love. Got it. Can I get my cake now?”

“Just take it. No one's stopping you”, Viktor said, his gaze not leaving your face for even a second; golden irises shining in dim light.

As soon as you gave an approving nod, Jayce hurried to another part of the lab, cake in hand.

Viktor hummed, one corner of his mouth twitching upwards. “So you made this with me in mind?”

“Of course.” The tip of your nose brushed against Viktor's, a smile on your lips. “I always do. Still, you'll have to earn a piece.”

“Earn one? That's cruel, love. Jayce didn't have to do that.”

“That's true. I don't want Jayce to kiss me, though.”

“Oh? Well, I guess that's a fair price.” His lips met yours a second later, tongue brushing over your plush bottom lip, and you sighed into the kiss.

Just as you moved to place your arms around his neck, Viktor pulled away, smirking.

“I believe that covers the cost, no?”
