Little Aphidkit staggers to her paws. She cannot stay here. She cannot be here.

The forest is large. She keeps walking. And walking. And walking. Her paw catches. She falls, tail over nose, coming to a sore, skidding halt amongst the fallen leaves.

She knows there will be no answer. She cannot help herself, though. As wet coughs bubble in her throat, the heat of fever building under her fur, she mews for her mother.
