I’m wondering how you picture y/n’s apartment? Because every chapter I swear I picture smt different and I’m curious to know what it looks like in ur head lol 😭

hiiii so i kinda get the vibe of aki’s apartment form chainsaw man. just very minimalistic. if she could, she’d spice the place up a bit and make it more her.

it’s smaller than this tho, with more clutter. specifically koji’s toys in the corner of the living room and his paintings/drawings on the fridge. the hallway from the front door to the living room would be way shorter.

as for bedroom, it would resemble something like this:

with the bed up against the wall, very little room to walk. everything just feels very suffocating tbh, but they’ve made it work.

the bathroom would look like this:

they do surprisingly have an in unit washer and dryer, but that’s of course making her rent higher.

i hope this was vivid enough lolll 😭😭

I promise you Lyree loves her Uncle Jayce lol. She didn't mean to crush his doing it on his own (kinda) spirit. Our girl has just never seen a studio apartment in her little life, and she wants the best for her Uncle J.

We love what you did with the place Jayce. He has plans to be out exploring most of the time anyway. This is just the right size for you!

This is my favorite spot. Aside from the bed and the bath. Love to read here, if Nali lets me. Or just look out over Night City. Could almost find some beauty in this dump from this point of view.

I know. I really need to throw this couch out. Too small.

And this is my computer setup, where I'd like to get work done. Again, if Nali lets me.

The statues? Super glue. It's bad enough that he likes to push the books off the shelf.

This is my netrunner cave. It's not used as much as in the past recently. But I still ride the waves sometimes.

Don't ask me where I got this ridiculous chair. Can't remember.

My other favorite spot in the house. I like to sleep in.

And here is where the magic happens. What? You didn't think I wake up looking like this, did you? And yes, Nali is sleeping on my underwear.

Pretty sure my brain tumor decorated this space when I was out cold. A shrine to his majesty. Or something.

And, last but not least, my third favorite spot. Taking a hot bath after taking a beating is the most relaxing thing in the world. Nali got to curious once and fell in. That was not fun, let me tell you.

My First Apartment

Despite being a college blogger throughout my entire college career, I never really shared photos of my dorm room. Honestly, I think the most I ever posted was a picture of my emptied-out first-year room (Hubbard 402). I’m a minimalist by both nature and intention, so the result was typically a boring undecorated room. While this never bothered me, it didn’t feel like there was really much to really show. Seriously though, my friends lightheartedly poked fun at me for my empty walls and gave me decorations as graduation gifts! Despite not posting dorm photos, I did write up a hopefully useful post about college essentials. 

Now that I’ve moved into my first apartment, I’ve come to care more about making the space my own while still keeping things simple and functional. Still, a few more things to figure out like lighting for the living room, but I’m really happy with the progress I’ve made over the past week and a half. I also still need to put up the watercolor painting of my dog Artemis that my parents commissioned for me once the custom frame is done! In the coming weeks, I hope to write a bit more about my experience furnishing and setting up my apartment, but for now, here are a few photos!

Eclectic Girls Apartment

Brazilian architect Franco Luiz Faust and the team at Solo Arquitetos transformed this once-incomplete “skeleton” apartment into a comfortable, personalised retreat for him and his wife, Maria, with the goal of maximising storage and practicality without compromising on style. Keeping the existing floor plan intact and removing only the existing kitchen wall, replacing it with a large double-sided custom wooden joinery unit, serving both the kitchen and living/dining area. A built-in storage bench and oblong table in the dining area have an extra touch of comfort and colour in the form of a padded backrest finished in moss-green linen. The bedroom features a custom L-shaped wardrobe designed for maximum space efficiency, whilst the second bedroom, currently set up as an office, has been designed to easily be converted into a second bedroom in the future.
