Postcards from Snagglepuss: So what would Florida be without Silver Springs?
Still well into the mission Crazy Claws and I have of spreading the message of Wisconsin Dells to Florida, we made it to the camping area of Silver Springs State Park last time ere the dusk settled ... and as is something of a habit, folded down the front seats of my Mini Cooper so it became a bed.
And on the next day's rising ... heavens to Ponce DeLeon! We stumbled essentially on the largest natural freshwater spring in the world, as in none other than the legendary Silver Springs, which was long a Florida touristic distraction even before the Orlando Theme Parks came along--as far back as 1875, to be exact. With the occasional steamboat back in the day, even, to reach the springs! Mind you, such weren't hot springs of any kind, nor did the waters carry any special medicinal properties or values. Rather, the springs were just so remarkably clear, teeming with fish and other aquatic life even!!
Which was enough, then, after breakfast to make our way to the main docks ... to stumble upon no less than a total believer in Old Florida than Wally Gator "himself". And he was especially stunned at the presence of Crazy Claws, come to think of it, prompting this rather crazy exchange:
"So I take it you're promoting Wisconsin Dells down this way--"
"Which would be like you promoting Florida in the northern states during the winter."
"The analogy is rather hilarious, don't you know."
"But then again, the Ducks excursions can get to be rather corny in the narration department."
"So are the Weeki Wachee Mermaids."
"As a matter of fact, we ran into their act just the other day.. Even if it means sucking on air hoses underwater to get the illusion about being able to stay underwater."
"Now THIS I have to see for myself, don't you know!! But on the other hand, have you seen Jabberjaw of late?"
"We actually did," I interject. "While snorkelling in John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. Off Key Largo."
"And what was Jabberjaw doing in that reef, may I ask?"
"As he explained it," Crazy Claws restarted the discussion, "he was looking for a mate."
"Ohhhhh, looking for a mate! And we alligators reportedly have it rather gentle in the mating department, despite our ferocity of looks, don't you know!"
"Which, I presume," I add, "is still rather beautiful."
"You're not whistling 'Moon Over Miami' for nothing!"
Such was basically how the conversation ensued for some time walking through the Silver Springs park, followed by one of the legendary glass-bottom boat tours which made Silver Springs legendary for generations of Florisa visitors ... and believe you me, such beauty, such clarity of the waters, has made it popular with Hollywood producers when it came to underwater scenes being produced. Prompting Crazy Claws to remark that, given the rather murky look of the Wisconsin River's waters, and those of Lake Delton, glass-bottom boat tours would be highly unlikely to become as popular as the waterslides or even the Tommy Bartlett Show--in its turn prompting Wally G. to remind all "Didn't I cut a rather graceful figure barefoot?!"
Still, in any case, we thought it worthwhile to be on our way--by way of a pizza buffet in Ocala, the nearest town of importance to Silver Springs. And believe you me, who couldn't resist pizza buffet in the middle of the springs country of Florida? Almost reminescent of Trollkindom, I'd have to say ... and with another brochure handout in what remained of Ocala's downtown, we went onward. And westward, towards what's become known as the Redneck Riviera, the Florida Gulf Coast between Apalachicola (not to be confused with any cola-type drinks on the market) and Pensacola. Requiring US 27, Alternate 27 at turns, to Perry, there to stay the night before continuing along US 98, pretty much the "main drag" of the Redneck Riviera.

It was older, but very clean. Comfortable bed. Good value
Dirty, run down, worst place I ever stayed. Dirt piled in the corners. Paint pealing off the walls. Shower leaks. Toilet runs. I have stayed in a Days Inn before but never would I think they would allow a mess like that to have their name. Wish there was a way to get a refund.
The accommodations were clean and staff were all friendly and responsive
Convinient, to where I worked and shopped for business.

Plan a Romantic Vacation with Cheap Living in Florida
Romantic Florida get-away goals are settled around Florida, once in a while in the most unforeseen spots. While there are lot of best and cheapest places to live in Florida with typical beach sunrises and sunsets (exceptionally Romantic if the beach is betrayed), you might need to think of some as more remarkable thoughts. The kind that will make your sweetheart swoon and announce you are the most Romantic individual who ever lived.
Night Lights
Think of some as night lights. No, I'm not discussing the significant city here. I'm looking at making tracks in an opposite direction from the group and the lights with the goal that you can drink champagne and take a gander at the night sky in all its splendor. Furthermore, here's an unmistakable approach to do this; lease a watercraft in the Florida Keys or Flamingo and put out to ocean (as it were) in Florida Bay. The ocean is still and you can coast past the splendid lights and gaze up at the stars and the moon. Keep in mind to bring Romantic music!
Consider Lover's Key
Darling's Key; it's more than only a name! It's an island on Florida's Southwest Gulf drift. The island was at first named such since you couldn't arrive from the terrain without a vessel. In this manner, it was an, ahem, separated site. These days a street interfaces Lover's Key to the territory, however in truth it's still a Romantic get-away spot. What about take a nightfall voyage into the Gulf and appreciate the sun's beams waiting not too far off while you get an opportunity to see characteristic Florida. On the other hand perhaps you'd lean toward the sunrise dolphin visit and shelling trip?
Florida Romantic Wedding Ideas
Is a Florida wedding service a portion of your future? You may consider the Florida Keys, or conceivably one of the astonishing warm sandy shorelines? There's something more remarkable to think about. It's a South Seas wedding at Disney World's Polynesian resort. I know, Disney is a most loved of honeymooners, however you don't generally consider it being Roamntic. Be that as it may, in the event that you need an over-the-top Romantic wedding to recollect for a lifetime, consider a tall tale wedding bundle at Cinderella's Castle, where you can have firecrackers go off at your first kiss as a couple.
Resorts, Islands and Bed and Breakfasts
Daytona Beach has a couple engaging spots for sentiment; one is The Shores Resort and Spa, where there are various couples-just bundles. Have champagne, chocolate-secured strawberries, a moonlit shoreline walk, breakfast in informal lodging medications also.
There are overnight boardinghouse found all around the Sunshine State and many have unique bundles intended for a passionate excursion. One out of the way tryst area is called Turtle Beach Inn. It's properly arranged on Florida's "Overlooked Coast" - the range of Gulf drift from the Big Bend on the east to around Apalachicola on the west. It's little, comfortable and disconnected, with miles of pristine shorelines.
What about remaining at a resort that is all alone island? Little Palm Island in the Florida Lower Keys is without a doubt all alone island, with only 30 suites (28 are cover rooftop homes). Little Palm has a five-day sentiment bundle that would make anybody swoon, in light of the champagne, chocolate-secured strawberries, a steaming shower with rose petals...you get the thought. For more info go with http://www.cheapzip.com/.
