i've been thinking about him again to the point it's consumed me so now I want to hear about how he handles play dates and one of the little snots plays a bit too roughly on purpose

GirlDad!Simon Riley likes his daughter’s friends, a polite, well-mannered bunch of kids. well, all but one. he met her parents first and he… well, he didn’t quite like them. fake nice, all smiles that didn’t reach their eyes and sweet, condescending words. of course, they described their daughter as perfect, she would never do anything wrong

GirlDad!Simon Riley can see that reflected in his daughter’s snotty little friend. she plays hard - her way or a fit of tears. her idea of playing involves tugging on Simon’s daughter’s hair, pushing her around and giggling about it, taking toys right from her hands. snotty, right. he doesn’t like having this little twerp over, but his daughter always babbles about how ‘she’s— she’s nice… sometimes’

GirlDad!Simon Riley that doesn’t tolerate it. the first couple times the little girl says it’s an accident, it’s part of their game, she’s not really hurt. but Simon can see the tears brimming in his daughter’s eyes and he’s not happy. out of all her little friends, this one has latched onto his girl. so, despite parenting books saying not to do it, he parents this little jerk

GirlDad!Simon Riley isn’t mean, but he does use a soft spoken, stern voice. he knows she’s just a kid, his own father probably would have ended things differently - Simon, good man that he is, refuses to be like him. he doesn’t yell or shout, he just sits his daughter’s friend down to talk. she pouts and whines the whole time, but he just wants her to be nice to his little girl

GirlDad!Simon Riley doesn’t want to break up their little friendship, even if that kid is a brat. instead, he sits around during their playdates to moderate it. he doesn’t necessarily want to sit on the hard floor, but if his presence in the room makes that snotty kid behave a little better because an adult is watching, then he’ll play nice and smile at his daughter

alternatively, if the behavior gets worse, GirlDad!Simon Riley doesn’t have an issue going to the source. “My daughter doesn’t need your little girl pickin’ on ‘er.”, she’s not coming over anymore unless she can play nice. if it carries over into his daughter being pushed around at school he won’t hesitate to schedule a meeting with the principal and parents - no one messes with a Riley and gets away with it

Habits and Traits Headcanons

(Im totally not projecting. Nope not at all)

Sky HATES the texture of baked potatoes, so much so that he almost vomits every time he eats them

Knowing this, whenever Wild makes baked potatoes he separates Sky’s portion and turns it into mashed potatoes (which he loves)

Wind flaps/clenches his hands when he sees a really cute animal/creature

When Time really laughs his mouth opens a little too much

Four is considered big for kid’s clothes but still too small for “adult” clothes

Hyrule sticks out his tongue when he’s REALLY focused. Like you’ll probably have to give him a good shake to get his attention

Legend has difficulty telling left from right and usually has to use his hands to tell which direction is which

Warriors subconsciously cracks his knuckles, even when his Zelda has told him he shouldn’t (its fun!)

Wild can not tell time for SHIT. Like if you asked him in the sense of where the moon/sun is then, oh yeah without doubt, but ask him to read an analog clock and he’s fucked.

Legend has a hard time controlling his facial expressions which tends to lead to some funny and not so funny conversations

Hyrule SUCKS at understanding sarcasm but goes along with it cause he’s to embarrassed to ask

Wild has a very monotone voice even when he doesn’t mean to

Twilight runs his tongue along his the inside of his teeth when nervous

Time cant sit normally in a chair to save his life and refuses to do so (unless in a formal situation)

Wind can switch from super affectionate (with consent of course) to “touch me and ill shank you”

Warriors can get very irritated when overstimulated
