I had a conversation with my dad a few days ago about how we both (and also most others in our family) don't have many or even any friends.

And today I come across a queer book club happening like 10 minutes from my home. Where the organizers provide tea and snacks while everyone in the club reads their own books/listens to their own audiobooks and if people want they can talk about it but if you just wanna sit around silently and then go home again that's fine and still makes you a valued member of the book club.

I totally should go there next time they meet.

#It sounds perfect tbh #Also also my dad might start paying the member ship fee (13.37€ or 42€) for a maker space near me for me #They have so much yarn! And like also 3d printers and stuff. But omg they have a whole fucking wall with different colors and sizes of yarn #And a sewing machine and probably more stuff #And if you are a member you can just come and use the tools and use the communal supplies (that includes yarn but not 3d printing filament)#(For the not communal supplies all people who use it share the costs of new supplies on a pay what you can basis)#Anyway.
