I bloody ADORED this fic so damn much! Just the way you’ve written it, like oh my god! I cannot tell you how thankful I am that you sent it in. I smiled like an idiot reading how Hermione hated Tuesdays and her dilemma on considering it bad luck. Don’t question my ability to simply gush about this fic. How? How am I gonna nitpick? *grumbles*

Coming on to a bit of a critical review: *questions whether I’m the right person to do it*

Writing Style: I think the writing style was the best part about it, how it was narrated and showed the emotions so so beautifully. How I could gasp on everyone’s emotions and watch through Hermione’s eyes and see the way she perceives things. I loved it.

Flow of plot: Outstanding- I don’t think there was one moment I had to stop or take a look back to imagine things. I loved how I was literally looking through Hermione’s mind. You made me simp for her so much.

Characterization: I don’t think I even need to say this. From the reader to Hermione to Harry and Ron, you had all characters nailed. Like- this is exactly how I see them myself. 

Emotions: UwU perfect. I literally felt my heart contradict when Hermione saw Ginny and reader together- like *phew*. I loved how you’ve shown Hermione likes the reader, in simple simple ways and that’s just so endearing. 

Description: Ahahahahaha this was so good I can cry. That moment when Hermione realises that reader was the one who hid her socks? That moment by the lake? Every time after classes? It was *chef’s kiss perfect*. How you came up with so many reasons for her to hate Tuesdays? It was amazing.

And I know I nit-picked at nothing but I tried. I tried really really hard and I couldn’t.

Though traffic of Paris isn't, but rest of it is perfect. I can't wait to drag you to this café which serves the best pain-au-chocolat (see, I used this and not chocolate croissant. And I miss you so dearly. I saw a couple in Le Louvre a week ago and I remembered us. I was thinking how you would tell me about all the tales behind all the paintings and I will test your trivia knowledge.

Congrats again Anu! Can I have a personal moodboard?

I love reading and writing, and listening to music while I do either of those things. I have a quick tongue and a fiery temper. A generally kind person, but I am sarcastic and pessimistic. I love to daydream whenever and wherever I can. Whether it be home, classroom, during sport or staring at my ceiling. I’m really creative but hardly ever have the energy to actually create.

I’m a pretty nostalgic person if that makes sense, I will randomly sing songs I remember from ages ago or recall stupid things that happened the past. I just love the feeling of nostalgia even though it does eventually make me feel sad.

I hate when I have an amazing idea I want to try but then I slowly talk myself out of it, then I don’t do it. Makes me feel bad. I love finishing a new book or watching a new shows and becoming sooooo obsessed with the characters with the story.

This fic was an amazing amazing read, thank you a tonne for sending it in! I loved how you wrote the reader and I adored the simplicity of their relationship and lifestyle, we do crave intimate moments, don’t we? And this fic just satisfied me in that way.

For the critical review:

Writing Style: I like your writing style, how you write in the second pov which is my personal favorite and it definitely suits the story too! At places, I did feel the tense was a tad bit tough to read but it was very rare. 

Flow of plot: I think the plot moved pretty smoothly throughout the story, how Remus finds out he is reported(?). I think you could’ve done the setting a little better? I took a whole lot of time understanding the AU you put it in. The scene at their parents, the confrontation, I mean, felt a tad bit choppy, I wanted to see just how angry the reader was- “how dare you?” ; did she glare at her brother? Did she silently plead for mum to help? Did she came in front of Remus to defend him?

Characterization: I think you pretty much nailed both the reader and Remus. How Remus is loving and caring and a tad bit insecure. How Remus is calm in defending himself, everything!

Emotions: As I said before, this lacked in emotions- don’t get me wrong- I could feel the love and softness of it all but I needed to know how everyone felt throughout the fic, whether directly describing it or showing it through small actions or affirmations. 

Description: I think the description was amazing, how you’ve described the smallest of details made it pretty easy for me to imagine everything all together. The only place I couldn’t- was her parent’s place- how was the house? Elegant and posh or calm and homey? 

The fic was an amazing read. Please don’t let my nitpicking get you down and I really hope this helps!

hey anu! congrats on 1.1k thats amazing!! for your celebration, could you read my harry fic "burn alone"? i just recent wrote it and i really liked how it turned out. its really short so theres not much to talk about but yeah ekjbfkjew

This was such a bittersweet fic, I felt it hit me in all the right places, how the reader mourned for his loss, everything. I loved how you’ve shown Harry, giving her as much space as needed, because honestly- Harry is like that.

Coming on to a bit of a critical review:

Writing Style: I think you’ve managed to convey so so much with so little words and your writing style does do justice to it. I loved how you’ve break-ed paragraphs in between, it gives what you wrote emphasis(or at least that’s what I like in fics)

Flow of plot: The only point where my imagination kind of broke when she finally cries, maybe because I couldn’t imagine well where she was sitting, a bit of description there perhaps?

Characterization: I think there weren’t major situations to show character or personality of the reader or Harry, but I could definitely feel the depth of love they both had for Sirius and just how much Harry cared for her.

Emotions: I felt the emotions were pretty much on point. I could feel how Sirius’s death slowly drives her to her depressed state, how she feels guilty of not crying sooner

Description: I think this one was on point- I loved how you’ve described her physical state- how her sadness effects how she looks. “ Harry assumed you were using that time to heal your wounded heart, but when he saw you with the same eye bags, and sad exterior, he knew that you hadn’t healed at all.“ This line right here, jdixnjedxnedjoxdmklmdex.

And I think that’s it! I couldn’t say more, because this one was short. I hope this helped though, the fic was amazing don’t let my nit-picking get you down!
