Do you really believe that nonsense about Jeronica as a shipp? I'm disappointed that you don't know Ted. There will be Jeronica, Ted will not lie, but it will not be as a romance, but as a friendship. b / a they have in common the past (And in the new season that romance will continue in the past), but what do Jughead and Veronica have? Nothing. I wouldn't even worry about it, Jughead never saw Veronica that way and Veronica Jughead the same.

He's trolling you, dammit. And you are giving him the pleasure of falling and causing him to continue doing because it works

They're not jerks, and they know what finally works is Bughead. They will never break they're strong. Basically it's their audience, and even though I don't trust them because I hate them, if I trust us and the audience we can tear it apart, and they know it. We are more than 70% of the fandom.

That being said, stop panicking the hell out, fuck. Enjoy this well-deserved break.

I saw this J*ronica shipper on Insta say that ‘Bughead’ has no chemistry’ like bitch your ship talked like 4 times and kissed once so that b*rchie kiss wouldn’t break the group up. Your ship is like non existent. It’s pretty much the Darsita of the Riverdale fandom. Also isn’t it ‘Vughead’ not ‘Jeronica’?

It’s from a baity promo for next ep. Veronica grabs jughead’s face and looks like she’s going for a kiss (archie and betty are right behind her) — they’re all in the hot-tub

No one knows the lead up to it — could be ‘cause someone brings up the b*rchie kiss and makes it awkward so this could be her way of cutting the tension and even the score so they could put it behind them OR

They’re playing truth or dare (as someone suggested) — i don’t think this is very likely

like i said earlier today, i really don’t care what other people from other ships think as long as it’s not outright awful. everyone can do them, yanno

but, okay, it’s not like i know much about church beyond what i see in movies about boston but when my fam went to europe a few years ago my brother and his wife got in a huge fight because he didn’t want to take off his baseball cap to go into this old catholic french church and she was mad about how disrespectful it was for men to wear a hat in church or something etc etc

unpopular opinion: if the show decides to go down the jughead/veronica path, even for a moment, i'm out.

these hypotheticals are too circular and without context. cross one bridge at a time. a lot people said the same thing earlier this season about b*rchie but they’re still around, as those moments were fleeting. not that i’m saying i enjoyed or want any version of mincing up the core four but just that i don’t think it’s worth getting worked up over at this stage

Objectively, could you ever see Jughead and Veronica work as a romantic pairing?

i mean, there’s an obvious similarity to dan and blair, a couple that i was, at one point, as passionately into as one could be while simultaneously not really investing in that show. 

as their characterization stands now, though—beyond the fact that they’re both very wry and clever (i love writing banter between them, as it’s always a fight to pepper out the most ridiculous references)—i don’t see much about them that would offer the kind of balance their personalities need. they both lose their ability to see the forest for the trees, and together, i think that’d be a fair bit destructive. 

and i don’t see anything in their relationship going forward that doesn’t spell outright antagonism between them, tbh, with veronica kind of actively seeking to oust jughead, his family, and his southside friends. 

that’s, of course, assuming that the writers also look at things in terms of character logic, rather than getting to season-whichever and looking around and saying, “okay, what haven’t we done yet?”

I absolutely love Heart Rise Above. I'm a multi shipper (thankfully, haha) and in light of the 2x14 promo, do you feel there could be any circumstance under which you might find jeronica appealing?

i think a multi-shipper is a fun place to be! i generally start out as one and then the more invested i get, the more singular my preferences get. which is kind of the answer to your question---i’m so deep into bughead that no, i can’t really see that changing. 

i think.....honestly......if the show had gone a different direction from the beginning, if they hadn’t set up bughead (but also varchie, though i care less about this ship. with veronica i still ship her with almost everyone) the way they had, i could see more of the appeal. 

and superficially i still do, but i just don’t think the characters are compatible at all. jughead is so about truth seeking and veronica is about secret keeping. can’t really work, even if they do fundamentally remind me of blair and dan, a couple i did like. 

so, as of right now, not really. not with the way they’ve written the core four friendship and the respective ships.

Unpopular opinion: Jughead and Veronica would have been an amazing enemies to friends to lovers story.

like, i’ve said it before, they do remind me of dan and blair, a couple i did like (as much as a person can while not liking the show very much) but there’s something missing there. objectively, i just think they’d be completely incompatible as partners in personality. but idk they are very fun to write off one another and power to whoever wants to ship them yanno
