Today is my lovely original series’ 12th anniversary. Didn’t have time to do anything huge this year, so instead I decided to compile a whole heck-ton of sketches from various periods in one huge sketch dump. It’s really big too, so you should definitely click to make it bigger if you want to view all the little details. (should also say there’s an expression meme in here; that’s by @magicalpouchofmagic and there it is on Twitter)

Every year this series gets more and more well-established in my head and I’ve figured out a heck of a lot for Diametrics this year. Character personalities, roles, and dynamics, the look, characteristics, and history of the world, and, of course, the complex hero-villain dynamics present in this world (there’s a whole system, trust me) are all getting pinned down and I can’t wait until the day I can spill all the beans.

For everyone! Favorite food for breakfast? (sorry this is such a lame question... ^^;;; )

Jake: H-hold up! How long has this been sitting in our ask box?!

Anteus: Since the day we started this dumb ask whatever.

Jake: CRAP

Yang: Yeah. I think that person running this whole shebang wanted to do this with images or something dumb like that, but they never did or whatever.

Jake: What person running what???

Yang: …………I don’t know???

Jake: *sigh* Well, I guess now’s as good a time as any. *inhales* HEY! GET OVER HERE! WE’VE GOT AN ASK!

Mandi: About friggin’ time…

Jake: I guess I’ll start, then, although, breakfast is kind of a weird affair at our place. I kinda don’t cook and, even if I did, I have to get my sister to school in the morning, so we usually either pick up a quick breakfast from whatever fast food joint the two of us are feeling, or…

Mandi: *sigh* I make them pancakes sometimes. You could bother to get up a little earlier though, Jake.

Rose: Oh, yeah! Mandi’s a great cook! I come over for her pancakes when she makes them too. They’re the best!

Dnias: My breakfast of choice is, of course, the greatest cereal known to mankind: Cocoa Myna Birds.

Yang: You eat that sugary garbage for every meal, moron.

Dnias: Hey, Anteus. What about you?

Anteus: I don’t care what I eat, as long as it’s not cavity-inducing sludge.

Dnias: Okay, rude.

Reath: My family struggles to make ends meet, so we usually only have one real meal a day. Breakfast isn’t really a commodity we can afford. Sometimes, though, our master brings crackers for us to eat while we’re on the job. Does that count?

Dnias: *claps hands* Okay! That’s everyone! Question answered! Let’s–!

Rose: Hold on! Parellus hasn’t answered yet!

Parellus: *huffs* Meals at the facility are administered in the form of flavored nutrition bars, which are our only form of sustenance. The available flavors are basic and not at all noteworthy. I have no preference toward any of them. They only exist to give the more restless of us a sense of variety, which rarely works as intended. Nonetheless, this is the way things are. End of story.

Dnias: *shudders*

It’s volume 3 of old stuff I found on my computer: ancient meme edition.

The first one went nowhere because I spent too much time on the intro and burned myself out, I don’t even know why I dropped the second, the third was just dumb, and the fourth...well...I don’t know why I dropped that one either because that one was just great. I’m just sorry that in order to understand some of the jokes, you have to know about the Truth or Dare meme I did in 2016, Larrikasa, and...well...one specific gag from Durarara. I’m sorry.

Welcome to the incredible world of Diametrics, a story of good, evil, and everything inbetween!

This year marks the ninth anniversary of this story I’ve poured my heart and soul into (including this piece, which I put, like, a whole month into)! For that, here’s an image including most of the main cast! Enjoy!

It’s July 31st, the new date of the celebration of nine years of Jake and the gang! In commemoration, The official Diametrics blog is going to become an ask blog, where you can interact with them to your heart’s content!

The characters currently open for asks are every character shown here, which are Jake Speed, Rose Montoya, Mandi Alden, Anteus Lefawn, Dnias Speed, Yang, Reath Spawson, and Parellus Lefawn, so send in any questions you’d like them to answer and here’s hoping this actually gains traction this time! *sobs*

It’s not winter yet, but this was the next redraw on the list, so who was I to argue an excuse to get myself in a cold mood while it’s still hot out? Above all, though, I think this exemplifies how far Anteus has come in five years...while Dnias has stayed pretty much the exact same ouch.

Spoiler alert: this maneuver ends with Dnias face-planting into the snow. The end.

This is the last time I move it, I swear. 7/31 is the new date for the rest of time. Period. Absolutely 100% intentional.

I was supposed to be something completely different, but I somehow stumbled upon a blood alcohol concentration level calculator (I have no idea WHY, but whatever).

I decided to test it out using Anteus, since he’s a frequent drinker in late-LS1. His drink of choice is vodka and he drinks a LOT of it. His largest consumption was 19 bottles (in a drinking contest against his brother). As I’ve found, a normal bottle of vodka yields about 17 average-sized shots.

It wouldn’t let me put in 320 shots, so I had to go with their maximum of 20. To compensate, though, I changed the time to 0.5 hours. Here’s what I came up with:

In short, if Anteus weren’t part demon, he’d be long dead. I guess demons have more tolerance to alcohol or something...

...That or I’m a horrible writer...that’s probably the better answer here.
