I’m kinda scared to see what the first hypnofury looked like with how you briefly mentioned they evolved from it

MEET THE……

ROCKLOBBER!! (Coloured Alts below)

The Rock Lobber is the unlikely relative of the Nightfury, somehow? It is also the pre-evolution of the Hypnofury fury. These 2’4”ft dragons were known for their habit of lobbing rocks at Vikings or potential threats, they are either found in rocky areas by the sea (where they lay their eggs) or just roaming in the forests, usually being found near rivers. They make a snorting sound much like a pug due to how compact their snout is, but in some rare cases they have been said to croak or bellow out. They are exceptional swimmers, given their fin shape on their tail, just don’t get in the way, they have terrible coordination. Not to mention they can survive in cold areas due to the amount of body fat they constantly have. They mostly eat fish or beetles, sometimes small rocks. They mostly waddle around and can surprisingly sprint short distances. As their bodies are too big for their smol wings they cannot fly, but they use their wings to propel them in the water or to gather piles of leaves to hide in. Their sharp claws on their feet also allow them to burrow and make a comfy little hidey hole. Even in your walls.

These lil’ guys were hunted for sports, Vikings often catching them for their durable hides, as they offered resistance to Scauldron’s boiling blast. To them it’s like a warm shower. Rock Lobber’s also like Hobgobblers! These two lil’ freaks are often seen together and are equally thoughtless.

Rock Lobbers also cannot breathe fire or anything really, they just put water in their mouth and spit at you. But still, they will lob rocks at you. Especially if you annoy them. If they were to ever be domesticated like the dragons we know in love in Berk, they would be the equivalent of having a big snuggly reptile pug, they would also like sunbathing.

Answering this in TWO PARTS because I have a lot of thoughts! CLICK HERE FOR PART 1.

PART 2: FALLOUT 'VERSE (Frank's default setting)

Warning that this one gets a little weird (gross) at the end (maybe more than a little).

The one scenario where I could see them interacting at length would be Fallout AU. I've talked about Fallout AU Hyden before, but to sum him up, he's a pre-war scientist turned brain in a jar remote controlling a synth body. Unfortunately, hundreds of years of deteriorating hardware and brain-meat have degraded the connection to the point where his synth body is basically completely numb. In this setting, he wouldn't have the luxury of being picky about allies (especially since he's double-crossed half the groups in the wasteland during his artificially long life). So I could see him grubbing around with someone like Frank under this circumstance. Frank is a scavenger, after all. He can help Hyden find materials he needs to repair his system and can be paid in food--something Hyden has limited use for. That makes him useful. (Also he couldn't smell Frank with his senses numbed, which would improve their relationship.)

Fallout AU Frank would think this brain-in-a-jar guy is weird as heck. Frank considers pre-war people "good", so Hyden would have that point in his favor, but is distrustful of non-humans, including synths. He'd probably have some trouble understanding exactly what Hyden is. He'd start to get it after watching Hyden "die" and come back with a new synth body a few times. He'd think that was extremely untrustworthy behavior, though. Things are supposed to die when you kill them. Not doing that is… wrong.

But Frank is a simple creature, and can be convinced to look the other way on moral failings like being a weird unkillable robot clone (or something) if you grease his palms… or rather, his mouth. If Hyden proved himself to be a reliable quest-giving NPC who rewarded him with man-dog treats for delivering scrap metal and computer components, he could come to be at ease around him, even if he still thought he was weird and sketchy. And he'll even agree to some of Hyden's more perplexing requests, like when he wants to sit there awkwardly watching him eat macaroni for an hour and interrupting him every few bites asking what the macaroni "feels" like. Frank doesn't get it, but hey, a free dinner's a free dinner. Maybe that's just what it's like being friends with a robot.

…Though, I did some googling, and… great news! Apparently synths are made of lab-grown meat and CAN be eaten with the cannibal perk! That… certainly opens up some INCREDIBLY dysfunctional paths for this relationship to take! Two morally bankrupt, empathy deficient weirdos, one of which is an obedient, social-cue-blind cannibal and one of which is an unkillable completely off the rails masochist. Good lord. Here's an alternate version of that last image with very offcolor joke (I mean it).

Your display of worship makes Mireille blush in satisfaction. With such a silent ashtray she has forgotten how sweet it could have been to have him beg for it. But why contemplate that when you are right here, willing and obedient, stupid and lost without her. You only know how to please her, it seems to come to you naturally. 

So, gracious as she is, she bows down to you, inhaling deeply from her cigarette and blowing the smoke in your face. With a smile, she watches you struggle not to cough, your lack of training obvious but endearing. Your voice is hoarse as you kneel down low to thank her.

It is truly a waste you aren’t her pet, especially with how willing you are, but maybe arrangements could be made and you would never need to worry your stupid little mind again…

He grew up in wisconsin. in wisconsin they have cows. cars dont have cowdogs (they dont have dogs at all)- they have cowhorses. i like horses, so his family raised cowhorses. racecars are kind of like horses. roger is more of a racer than a horse-trainer though, so he sort of breaks the family tradition: he winds up at the track. he meets tacho. they make the magic happen.

Smokestack/Samson is so precious to me. I love his adult design, but so much of what I do with him is actually his child version. My sister @angelfishcake and I talk about him and his stupid little friends so much. I'll share more about the friends eventually(hint, they're based off Rumble and Frenzy). Soundwave is such a tired dad. TFP Soundwave is a separate character, and is the local cryptid.

Anyway, I have a backlog of drawings for this whole thing(AU?). I always think I'll color things, but then I never do and just end up collecting them.

His name is Atticus and he and Shigeru Kimura (the elder) had a run in with eachother back in the 80s. Shigeru stopped Atticus from completing his job and Atticus swore that he’d kill him the next time they’d meet.

Cut to modern day, Atticus is in his late 40s early 50s, Shigeru is in his late 50s early 60s. After the events of Bullet Train they meet by chance and recognize each other, leading to a fight in an alleyway. But the fight gets cut short because Atticus throws his back out and Shigeru feels bad enough that he helps him crack it.

Afterwards they sit down, exhausted. Atticus asks about Shigeru’s leg and Shigeru tells him the whole story. Atticus offers to buy him a drink and things go from there.

Atticus is kind of a classic older cowboy archetype to match Shigeru’s wise old Samauri archetype

Reading your tags, my wol who knows how to sing would come up to yours, hit him and scream "you know how to fight, too, so you know how to control your breath! Use that for your singing, too!" - so the question is, did Ari ever properly learn singing? :D

First of all, he would immediately hit them back, because his impulse control is: not good and he takes to harsh advice like a koala to cat kibble. Which is to also say bad. Even if it’s good advice and will probably help him in the same way stretching helps an athlete not cramp up all the time, Ari,

second of all no! Ch’ari has no formal training in anything but pickpocketing and hunting, if you want to call either of those abilities formally trained. He learned songs from pirates, and is just naturally pretty good at it. He also really enjoys it, and enjoyed the attention he used to get in small groups. The reason he can’t sing for long is because his vocal cords have been damaged. But he knows about 20 sea shanties and will make it everyone’s problem!

He's such an easy guy to miss for some reason. He was in my town for a bit a few months back and we ran into each other nearly everyday but I didn't realize that was THE Sonic The Hedgehog until AFTER he'd skip town. He's a pretty cool guy tho.
