"Ânsia de amar" (carnal knowledge) - mubi.
O Mubi educadamente avisa que um filme na sua lista vai sair do catálogo e esse está pra ir embora. Assim, vamos ver.

in one of the rare, you-can-count-on-one-hand events my two favourite broadway ladies have (sort of) crossed paths, i am very pleased to realise that there is footage of donna murphy in the off-broadway revue showing off, dressed up in attire reminiscent of the 1996 revival of *chicago's hot honey rag, and dancing alongside douglas bernstein, who wrote showing off alongside denis markell in 1989.
*a revival that would be staged only three years later at the civic light opera featuring bebe neuwirth as velma and juliet prowse as roxie, with direction by rob marshall and choreography by ann reinking
and if anyone recalls, bebe did a similar off-broadway revue of "upstairs at o'neals" a couple of years prior in 1982, which also featured douglas bernstein alongside richard ryder, mary d'arcy, sarah weeks and carole schwied.
pictured below.
(the cast of "upstairs at o'neals," photographed by martha swope.)
both actresses would come to win their tony awards for best leading actress in a musical only a year apart in 1996 and 1997, with donna murphy as english teacher anna leonowens in the revival of "the king and i," and bebe neuwirth in the revival of "chicago" where she played infamous murderess velma kelly.
(pictured below with their respective tony awards. photographed by ron gallela (left) and richard corkery (right.)
anyways–now that it is 2024–if any casting directors see this, take notes. i'm not picky.
#bebe neuwirth#donna murphy#i just took this dive down a rabbit hole as an excuse to make a lil' post on the both of them#because whilst i am happy both of them are booked and busy-i have a vision in mind.#and as i said-i am not picky.

My mother-line as far back as I can trace it... (Daughters to Mothers)
Donna Jean O'Neal (1949-Living) Bernadine Melson (1926-2017) Ardel Hignight (1895-1977) Elizabeth Hammons (1874-1961) Mary Ann Calebs (1838-1904) Hannah Mills (1800-1881)
I can't seem to find Hannah's parents. Ancestry is recommending Huber and Patience to me, except there are no DNA matches linking them to me or documentation linking them to Hannah.

This is something I repeat periodically. You know, I have done lectures and at the beginning, just messing around, I'll ask, "What is astrology?" It's shocking to still find numbers of people who think that a horoscope can answer any question. I saw one lady on a Facebook astrology page ask if she was going to marry an excessively tall man or not because, "I want a man over 6ft 5." Yet another wanted to know if she had the horoscope of a mistress!!!!
I observe these pages to gauge where people are with astrology. If what I see online is an example, astrology is in bad shape even from where it was in my main learning years from 1980-2000. By and large, more people than not relate a horoscope to a crystal ball. There is zero understanding that a horoscope SUGGESTS various things and it doesn't MAKE YOU do, be, think, or act as you do. It SUGGESTS what you need to do to be fulfilled through planets in Signs. A person with Mercury in Cancer needs to think in terms of what brings emotional security. Thousands or millions of people with Mercury in Cancer are NOT that way. That goes for all positions. For a person with the Moon in Sagittarius to be psychologically fulfilled, they need to have their opinions listened to and respected (Donald Trump, Oprah, Michael Jordan, Ann Coulter, Al Sharpton). Is every human ever with that position that way? Exactly. No.
Squares, oppositions, and hard aspects are not "bad." They are there to tell you what you need to work on and get better at in order to be the best you that you can be and when you don't get those things together, it usually hurts you. It's your call, not the horoscope's call. Steve Jobs started Apple. He had a Grand Cross with Neptune in the 2nd. "Wait a second. Are you sure? Grand Crosses are bad and you can't get rich with Neptune in the 2nd House." To many, it's as if the horoscope calls the shots. I wrote in my first book, "We are not the pawns of a fate determined by planets." In my life, every time transiting Saturn has been conjunct, square, or opposed my Sun has correlated with a time of reward. This could be because I'm naturally a Saturnian type in terms of being disciplined, liking to work hard towards a goal, and that kind of flavor. Others who are not like that or are on a path that isn't good for them may experience a time of frustration. It depends on the person, not the planet.
My late client, Natalie Cole, won multi Grammy awards when transiting Neptune was on her Midheaven. Remember comedian, Joan Rivers. When she died, Neptune was on her daughter's Midheaven. Moral of the story is that predictive measurements manifest in terms of the life being lived, not in terms of some book writing what astrologers lived by 5000 years ago.
You are responsible for you, not your horoscope. It doesn't control you and it is not equivalent to a crystal ball. Both President Biden and Shaquille O'Neal have the Sun in the 12th House. One is President and the other is a billionaire, yet the 12th House is a "bad" House.
Use common sense!
