Kangana Ranaut is one happy soul post the success of her latest film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut is currently in cloud nine post the tremendous success of her latest movie Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Kangana, who is known for her straight forward statements, recently said that if she does not receive a National Award for her portrayal of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi, then it will lead questions to their credibility. Kangana also expects that in the upcoming months, there won't be any better performances than Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Kangana also went on to appreciateTabu's acting performance in the movie Andhadhun. 

Kangana had previously received National Awards for three of her movies, Fashion, Queen and Tanu weds Manu. Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in the upcoming movie Mental Hai Kya opposite Stree actor Rajkummar Rao. The film also stars Amrita Puri, Jimmy Shergill and Amyra Dastur in significant roles. Shah Rukh Khan will be seen doing a cameo role in the movie which has been produced by Ekta Kapoor. Mental Hai Kya, which has been directed by Prakash Kovelamudi, will be released on May 24, 2019.

Kangana Ranaut's latest release Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi did extremely well at the box office. The film features Kangana in the titular role of Manikarnika, the queen of Jhansi. The film also stars Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub in significant roles. Th film got released on January 25, 2019.

It’s official! Tiger Shroff has a sequel to Heropanti on the cards and we can’t keep calm. Heropanti 2 will be directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. The makers of the film and Tiger Shroff unveiled the first look of Heropanti 2 on their social media handles on Friday. Tiger Shroff made his debut in the Bollywood industry with the 2014 film Heropanti. The 29-year-old actor played the lead role in the film opposite Kriti Sanon. Tiger is again set to feature in the main role in Heropanti 2. The poster of the film reads, “The world wants him dead.” Sharing the new posters on Twitter, Tiger Shroff wrote: “This one is so special to me. Blessed and grateful to be carrying forward another franchise with my mentor Sajid sir forward.” He accompanied his post with the hashtags “#Heropanti2” and “#firstbaby.”

Ahmed Khan has also directed Tiger’s upcoming film Baaghi 3 with Sajid Nadiadwala’s production company Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. Sharing his excitement, Ahmed Khan wrote, “Very excited to continue my association with Sajid bhai and NGE Movies. Presenting Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti 2 starring Tiger Shroff.”

There has been no official announcement about any other star who will be featuring alongside Tiger Shroff in Heropanti 2. However, the official release is said to be July 16, 2021.

On the work front, Tiger Shroff is busy promoting his upcoming film Baaghi 3. Shraddha Kapoor will play the role of his love interest in the film. Apart from Tiger and Shraddha, Riteish Deshmukh and Ankita Lokhande also feature in Baaghi 3 in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on March 6.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh and Sairat director Nagraj Manjule are coming together for another interesting project. The duo made an announcement on Wednesday that they are currently working on a multilingual trilogy on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. They announced it on his 390th birth anniversary. It will be produced by Riteish Deshmukh’s production - Mumbai Film Company.

Riteish took to Twitter to share a teaser of the announcement. He wrote, “Proud to present. Seeking your blessings, Jay Shivray."

Today, brought with it a refreshingly new still that sees her in her warrior-queen avatar, armed with swords in hand and ready for battle.

The film was in the news recently after Kangana took over the reins from director Krrish to re-shoot a few “patchwork” portions of the film. However, after the change, actor Sonu Sood, who was going to portray the pivotal role of Sadashiv also walked out of the film, sighting some personal issues. Now, one more actor has joined the bandwagon of walking out of the film. Reports suggest that Swati Semwal who was in plans to move out of the project since Sonu made the decision. However, the actress was in two minds about her decision and has finally put the papers and called it as ‘quit’. According to Swati at this point of time, she doesn’t think, ‘Manikarnika’ is good for the career path that she is taking.

According to the latest Box Office India report, the Ahmed Khan directorial has managed to mint Rs 19.75 crore on Sunday which took its total to a staggering figure of Rs 52.75 crore. The high octane action flick which also stars Ankita Lokhande and Riteish Deshmukh in pivotal roles had opened at Rs 17.50 crore but witnessed a drop on Saturday as it earned just Rs 15.50 crore. The report also suggests that it wasn’t an easy task to get over the first-day business on Sunday but the film has managed to do that easily. But the only problem that the film is facing that the film has got a very average response in the bigger cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Chandigarh while collections in places like Patna, Surat, Agra and Bhopal have been very good. The film is expected to have a very strong occupancy due to the upcoming Holi period from Monday onwards.

‘Baaghi 3’ which was mired in controversy right before its release due to a Tiger’s dialogue from a promo which was termed as ‘offensive’ and ‘insensitive’ by netizens. Talking about it in an exclusive interview with ETimes, Tiger said, “Well, we totally understand why they would question that and say something like that. But in no way, were we meaning on demeaning anybody or any country for sure. It was just the scene that was taken and put into the trailer.”

2018 is going to be much awaited year for Bollywood movies. A few Bollywood inheritors are going to be screened while some legends are coming back with the Bang. 2018 has lined up plethora of bollywood news ranging biopics, comedy, romance, drama to name a few.

1) Padmavati

The most controversial piece of art staring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in lead roles showing the story of legendary Rajput queen “Padmavati” whose beauty mesmerized many rulers. What the most fascinating about this movie is set up and heavy costumes.  Release is still unknown!

2) Pad Man

Ace fashion designer Neeta Lulla says Kangana Ranaut enjoys experimenting with her roles as well as her fashion choices. Neeta is currently working with Kangana on her upcoming film “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi”. The movie is being directed by Krish.

In an interview with PTI, Neeta says, “It is lovely working with her. She is someone who gets in the character. She is always trying out different things (referring to her films and roles). She is in that sense very experimental… In terms of fashion, she has a style statement of her own as whatever she wears she carries it off well. It is an absolute pleasure to be working with her.”

The film is based on the life of Rani Laxmibai, the warrior queen of Jhansi, whom Neeta admires a lot. “She (Rani Laxmibai) was a woman of substance. There are lot of women today who do multi-tasking, they are house wives who do something that makes a difference, they protect their surroundings in whichever way they can. “There are many Manikarnika in today’s time. For a film to come up (on such a woman) is a beautiful thing,” she says.

After having worked on period dramas like “Devdas”, “Jodha Akbar”, “Khelenge Hum Jee Jaan Se”, “Mohenjo Daro”, Neeta is now excited about “Manikarnika…”. She says as a team they have to be really cautious as the movie deals with a real life character. “There is an extensive research that goes in for a film like this as there is a sensibility attached to it. You have to do your best,” she adds.

The film also stars Ankita Lokhande and Atul Kulkarni in pivotal roles and is slated to release in April next year. Meanwhile, Neeta is also busy styling for three television shows – “Ishqbaaz”, “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” and “Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon”.

“When Star Plus approached me, I was more than happy to do it. It was challenging to do three different shows that have different cultural backdrop. For the shows I go by the demand of the script and accordingly style the artistes,” she says.
