It’s another busy month for the series as the July issues of Animedia, Newtype, Animage and PASH! magazine all have an article featuring TIGER & BUNNY 2. All the issues have been released.
Animedia has a poster of Kotetsu & Barnaby holding their trading cards, whilst the article itself focuses on Barnaby’s intelligence and Kotetsu’s parenthood.
Whilst PASH! magazine has a pin up of Mugan & Fugan drawn by one of the series’ key animators, Mika Yamamoto, along with an interview with T&B2’s director, Mitsuko Kase.
And Newtype magazine has a illustration of Dragon Kid & Magical Cat, along with an interview between their seiyuus, Mariya Ise and Tomori Kotobuki

[JP] Love and Producer: Animage (2020 July Issue)
This translation is from "Animage Magazine" which released on June 10, 2020.
.
Description from Koi to Producer’s Official Twitter: Series Composition (Script Writer), Kiyoko Yoshimura, talked about the points of each character and the highlights of the work! The posted illustrations are newly drawn! Please enjoy it in the magazine.
.
Script Writer, Kiyoko Yoshimura’s Interview
Q. After receiving this offer, how did you feel about this works?
A. As the first impression of the original work is, that the characters’ illustrations are really beautiful. Each of them have its own uniqueness, and it is delicate yet strong. I was excited that it would be cool if they moving in the video.
.
Q. What kind of impression did you have when you read the original story?
A. I imagined the story of "work stuff" from the title "Love and Producer", but in reality it’s a story about battles and bonds that struck the fate of the world.....
A. I was surprised and strongly attracted, to the unexpected story development that rolled steadily. The most striking thing I read was, how they continued to resist their harsh fate. I started to work on anime version with that as the center.
.
Q. What kind of interaction did you have with Director Munehisa Sakai?
A. Director Sakai also agreed that the core of this work is the drama of the bond between the heroine and the four heroes. Although the scale and expression method are different between the animation and the game, I pay attention not to change each character's individuality, especially the point of view and personality that form the principle of their actions.
A. On top of that, the action part is the strength of the video work. The incidents that occur one after another in the original work are firmly described as "moving", and fully demonstrated their coolness.
.
Q. What kind of woman is Heroine “I” ?
A. She has a very big fate and she is the reason why the heroes move. If her principle of action is blurred, the heroes who are swayed by it will also look uncool, so I tried to make sure that the core goes through properly.
.
Q. What else, did you pay attention to in the overall configuration?
A. The original work is a flow in which the world slowly starts to move around the heroine and gradually gets involved in a huge conspiracy, but in the anime version, while following the same flow, the existence of the super evolution ability called Evol, and the mystery by disclosing information on the organization BLACK SWAN at key points, we are careful to understand the world view at a good pace.
.
Q. What are the most powerful episodes?
A. The climax of the anime version is created through discussions with the director and all the staff. There are some places that are quite flashy in terms of videos, so please look forward to it.
.
Q. Finally, do you have a message for the readers?
A. I'm sure some of you have seen the PV that has already been announced, but...that scene from the original, and that scene will come out! We packed it with all our might! Their thoughts, anguish, and decisions. Please take a look to the end to see how strong they are toward the future!
.

“The Secret of Four People” Character Point from Yoshimura
❤️ Victor / Zen ❤️
♛ This is Lovely!
He looks like a gentleman, but in fact he can be attentive person. The kindness that he throws it away at the end.
♛ This is Tough!
A lot of scolding for Heroine, this is also makes me really sympathize deeply with her.....I regret it.
♛ Ingenuity on The Script
Since he is a character that has a lot war of words with the heroine, while rolling my palm, and being aware of the feeling of love, I tried to make it as a fun scenes.
.
💜 Lucien / Simon 💜
♛ This is Lovely!
That mysterious personality. I can’t say it because it will be a spoiler but, the “world” he looks at is too painful.
♛ This is Tough!
Please go to sleep.
♛ Ingenuity on The Script
Since he is a character whose each of his word has a two-sided meaning, his dialogue is carefully scrutinized.
.
💛 Kiro / Kira 💛
♛ This is Lovely!
I can’t say much because it’s a spoiler, but his two-faces, and his strength of willpower. Why his Evol has this ability? if I guess the reason.....
♛ This is Tough!
Good luck with your diet.....!
♛ Ingenuity on The Script
Although he is a character with many faces, his belief is always consistent, and I pays attention to his expression around it.
.
💙 Gavin / Haku 💙
♛ This is Lovely!
He’s sharing his school days with Heroine. I like the sweet and sour atmosphere that only people who were in the same age can communicate with each other.
♛ This is Tough!
He’s (covered because of spoiler) leaving a letter to her. Well, it didn’t received...(lol)
♛ Ingenuity on The Script
He stand up as an action hero, but if I overdo it [Gavin’s storyline script], he will look like a character in shounen manga, so I tried to balance it.
.
Note from Hakutaichou: Happy Qixi / Tanabata Festival!, I already checked all of e-mails and the bois’ special phone calls, and yeah...the contents are exactly same as the CN version from cheri-san. Because of that, I’ll only upload their phone calls in my youtube channel, “special tanabata emails” from Koipro management team?, and this interview to celebrating this beautiful day, so...have a nice qixi day :)

Where to buy Sarazanmai merch and goods from
I’ve seen a lot of people ask this question so I figured I’d make a more extensive list with links to everything for all the lazy people out there who need that small push (or those who have no idea where to start looking).
I’ve been using mostly CDJapan and Amazon JP for my manga and book purchases. As for small merchandise I’m a loyal Amiami customer (I was once told they offer the cheapest prices and they have a points system so now I’m stuck with them lmao).
All these sites offer service in English and are very easy to use. I’ve been a customer for years with no problems whatsoever.
CDJapan offers several different shipping options whereas Amazon doesn’t offer me any and send everything through DHL. DHL has been A LOT faster (we’re talking a few days) and has cost me about the same as CDJapan’s cheapest (reasonable) shipping option SAL (which has always taken me about 3 weeks, old followers might remember the pain of waiting for Rutile to arrive every other month...). Amiami and HobbySearch (which is another good and reliable site for merch purchases) both offer different shipping options.
The prices I’m giving here are WITHOUT TAXES because if you’re outside of Japan you don’t have to pay for them. Note that some sites (like Amazon) includes them in the price. They won’t charge you for them.
1000 yen is about 9 USD or 8 EUR.
BOOKS
Reo to Mabu: Futari wa Sarazanmai - 660 yen

Sarazannai Novel vol 1 - 1400 yen

Stand By Me (Limited Anime Edition CD + DVD) - 1389 yen
CDJapan Amazon JP
Massara (Regular Edition) CD - 1000 yen
CDJapan Amazon JP
BD & DVD
Sarazanmai vol 1 Blu-Ray - 3800 yen (release June 26)
CDJapan Amazon JP
Sarazanmai vol 1 DVD - 2800 yen (release June 26)
CDJapan Amazon JP
Sarazanmai vol 2 Blu-Ray - 6800 yen (release July 24)
CDJapan Amazon JP
Sarazanmai vol 2 DVD - 5800 yen (release July 24)
CDJapan Amazon JP
I’m sure you’re able to find the rest of the BD’s and DVD’s in the recommended sections. Note that their covers haven’t been released yet so they currently have the Sarazanmai key visual as a temporary cover. Also note that they’re in Japanese ONLY. There will most likely be an English release, but it hasn’t been announced yet.
The first volume is cheaper because it only includes 1 episode (and a bunch of extras). The second and consecutive volumes will contain 2 episode each (and a bunch of more extras).

OTHER MERCH
AmiAmi HobbySearch CDJapan
I hope you found this helpful. Please consider supporting Sarazanmai and its creators! Buying the Blu-rays would help the most, their sales are a direct way of seeing how popular a series is, but every little thing counts, even if it is just buying a strap or a badge!

Hi! Here is my question: have you ever found thanks to the internet about one of your niche fandoms to be surprisingly more popular in other countries? And how did you begin with your personal collection? Have a nice day😊
Hi! Thanks so much for the questions! Oh, I absolutely love it when anime series reach new heights in overseas markets! Media can connect people across cultures and it fascinates me how different series resonate with different people based on the time period, the dubbing, the themes, etc.
Now we’re seeing nostalgia for older anime/manga series take hold in these other countries as well as Japan (a perfect example would be the enduring love for Wedding Peach in Korea – and all the new products released this year for these older fans).
When it comes to a series I like having a fandom in an unexpected place, I remember being shocked when my Indonesian colleague related something in a news article to a comic she read once – and that comic was Tokimeki Tonight. She was equally shocked that I knew about it. It gives me nothing but joy finding other fans, no matter where they are in the world. ^^
As for my personal collection, there are a few items that hold special significance to me that I received at a formative time in my life. The very first Japanese magazine I ever owned was the July 1998 issue of Animage, which my mother bought for my birthday. She had no idea what anime was, but on a trip to the city saw the magazine and realised it resembled the series I looked at online so she bought it for me. I read through that magazine (I was far more Japanese literate back then than I am now) and just felt so enamoured of the art and ideas that I vowed I’d watch every series I saw advertised in there. I still have that magazine (and of course many other anime mags) and it was the one that got me interested in print media (other than of course manga, which I already had some volumes of).
In terms of figures and merchandise, the same year my father bought me a set of Magic Knight Rayearth figures thinking they were from Sailor Moon. They weren’t, of course, but they made me track down Rayearth and learn more about that series too. And then another series after that. And another. I still have those figures and they similarly mean a lot to me.
My collection these days really needs thinning out (I’ll be moving soon-ish and I need to ditch some of the extra stuff I don’t feel strongly about) but there are core items, particularly media, that I don’t think I could ever part with.
#askbox#answers#ok i really rambled there#but those were awesome questions!#keep 'em coming peeps ;3

“Syaoran’s mission is only one: protecting Sakura” ~ Interview with Sakura Tange and Motoko Kumai in Animage 07/2018
And here I am, with the promised highlights (well, it’s basically the whole thing) of the interview with Sakura Tange (Sakura’s VA) and Motoko Kumai (Syaoran’s VA) included in the Animage issue of July 2018, the one currently in stores!
First and foremost, let me thank the irreplaceable @cutesxsherry for providing me the pics of the article, because I didn’t buy the magazine, this time! <3 The article is accompanied by an extensive look-back on Sakura and Syaoran’s best moments in Clear Card, they’re pretty but I didn’t translate them because there’s nothing new there. Needless to say, the article contains some spoilers for the anime series.
As usual, I’m not a native English speaker, so forgive me if my translation sounds a bit off. If you mean to repost or translate this in another language, send me a message/credit me, thanks!
HE WANTS TO SAVE SAKURA: SYAORAN'S FEELINGS
"Syaoran's mission is only one, protecting Sakura"
The interview starts with the interviewer pointing out that the TV broadcast was just one episode away from the end (note: in fact, the magazine official release date was on episode 22's day, June 10th, but some stores had it earlier), and Motoko Kumai is really surprised about that. Sakura Tange comments that even if the recordings and the broadcast went on for a long time (5 months), it just feels like time flew by. Kumai retorts "is it really ending even though they haven't shown the reason why Syaoran has been training secretely, and the results of it?? (laughs)" and Tange says "well, there's still one episode left (note: nope Tange-san, they won't even show it in episode 22) but the reason why Syaoran makes all those painful faces definitely intrigues/worries me" Kumai "Since it was an information I had to know in order to play Syaoran's role properly, director Morio Asaka and CLAMP have explained to me a little of why Syaoran is always making such a face, but of course it's still a secret (for everyone else)." Tange "Yeah, only Kuma-chan (Note: Tange's way of calling Kumai) knows about it. I don't know anything about that." Kumai "Since I am the only one knowing the circumstances behind Syaoran's behavior, I could put a lot of thought into the recording. For example, there was a part in the scenario's script where there was written "Laugh cynically", and I recorded two takes for that part: one as instructed (note: by the sound director) and one using the "ikishibai tecnique" (note: it was hard to find this one, it's an ad-lib breathing tecnique used in the voice acting world, hard to modulate because it easily sounds forced if exaggerated) to emphasize Syaoran's emotions. When I watched the episode airing on TV, I realized they chose the take where I breathed more, and even adapted the animation drawings to that. I don't know why they changed that suddenly during the editing stage but, this is an anecdote that left quite an impression on me." (Note: I don't know which scene Kumai might be talking about, the only scene I could think of where Syaoran might have laughed cynically and later was changed, is when he said "Is this jutsu not working anymore?", I can totally see him saying that with a bitter smile, but they probably changed it later. This is just my supposition though)
The interviewer says they're pretty concerned about the circumstances behind Syaoran's behavior, and Kumai replies: "But Syaoran's goal is still consistent. And that's "saving Sakura" . Even though, in the Sakura Card Arc of the previous series, Sakura surpassed Syaoran in terms of magic power. Sakura is currently having a stronger power than Syaoran, but an excessive strong power will end up calling for unhappiness. To save Sakura from that unhappiness, Syaoran came back from Hong Kong, and also for that reason he's doing things in the shadow right now." Tange "Indeed, the way Syaoran fretted over Sakura in Clear Card Arc was quite impressive for me. Even Sakura herself noticed that Syaoran is hiding something in his heart, and that he's a bit different than usual...... That's why she discussed about it with Meiling in episode 13. But if Syaoran doesn't want to tell her, Sakura won't force him to say it. She believes that if it's something he can talk about, one day he will put it into words for her. They had to go through a period in which they were separated, one in Hong Kong and the other in Japan, so for Sakura the feeling of treasuring the present time in which they can be together is stronger than anything else, I think.”
The interviewer asks the two voice actresses which ones were their favorite scenes depicting the relationship between Syaoran and Sakura. Tange mentions the scene in which Sakura asks if she can make a bento for Syaoran in episode 4, or when Syaoran ate Sakura's bento even though he already ate lunch, in episode 5. "But what shocked me the most was the recitation of the picture book in episode 19" Kumai "Aaah! The part where Sakura took Syaoran's hand and asked him to play the piano accompaniment while looking at him with puppy eyes!!" Tange "That's right! Syaoran blushed furiously and replied "O-ok". You can't turn down a request made in such way!!" Kumai "That's foul play (laughs). Syaoran was taken aback." Tange "Even I thought "Sakura-chan, where did you learn that skill??" because I was taken by surprise (laughs) " Kumai adds to the favorite SyaoSaku scenes the one where Sakura gives Syaoran the roll cake at the park. She says that at that time, Syaoran's heart was not ready for that, and even herself felt knocked out by Sakura's cuteness, and rewatched the scene over and over. Rather than feeling embarassed, she says she felt very happy about Sakura's feelings (note: I have a hard time discerning when she's talking as herself and when she does as Syaoran XD) and she tells about the present she received from Sakura Tange for Valentine's day: well, it seems Kumai kept the package that contained the chocolates, because she felt like "I can't throw away this!!!" XD. Tange is really happy to hear that, and she shares how Kumai invited her to eat pancakes out for White Day, in return! Since Tange had hay fever in that period, Kumai was so kind to give her some herb tea as a present, a herb tea which apparently is effective to alleviate hay fever! She says she drank this herb tea everyday until some days before this interview, and she felt really refreshed! Kumai goes briefly back to the "best SyaoSaku scenes" and she says that, even if her character didn't have any active role in that episode, she felt her heart racing watching the scene in episode 6 where Sakura says to Akiho "You want the person you love to eat something delicious, right?", upon seeing Syaoran's face appearing Kumai says she felt "a fierce embarassment (laughs)".
The interview continues with Tange and Kumai talking about Tomoyo and Kero-chan's roles, which in this Clear Card anime have been mostly of comical nature. Tange says she loved how Kero-chan attached the camera to his head, and the funny red mark it left after he took it off ("just like a takoyaki"), or how Kero-chan was so scared about Tomoyo's reaction when she would find out that he forgot to record some scenes: Tange says that while Aya Hisakawa was recording that part, in her head she played the role of the Sakura plush doll on her bedpost, thinking "It's ok. But I think it's better if you tell her that soon (laughs)". Kumai: "My favorite moment was probably the "Leave it to Kero!" corner of episode 10. When he had to introduce Syaoran's costume, he did it with such an unwilling and careless way that I bursted out laughing! (laughs)" Tange comments that you can really see Kero-chan is a male, by that behavior, and Kumai says "The other times the "Leave it to Kero!" corner was high-tension driven, but when it came to Syaoran, Kero-chan was like "Ah, it's just the brat, who cares" (laughs)" Kumai says another moment that made her burst out laughing was when Sakura switched topics during the rewatch of the play they did in elementary school, in fact cutting off Tomoyo who was all getting excited over the prospective of continuing the play and finish it properly. Kumai found funny how all the excitement left Tomoyo's face while she said "It's not really that interesting...". The interviewer says it's a scene that shows very well how Tomoyo is all about Sakura, even before herself.
Then the two voice actresses are asked what are their expectations for the climax of episode 22. Tange says that in episode 21 Kaito just began showing some shady behavior, but the anime is still in a situation where they haven't revealed who really Akiho is and why the Clear Cards were born (note: well, by episode 21 they already did reveal that, maybe what Tange means is that we don't know why Sakura is not controlling her power?), so she's really excited to see what kind of conclusion the story will get to, in one episode. Kumai adds that they haven't shown the reason behind not only Syaoran's, but also Eriol and Touya's behavior and that feels quite frustrating! She seems rather shocked that it's going to really be over in just one episode, but she's excited to see what it will be like. At this point, Kumai wraps up the interview encouraging everyone to support the anime during this last episode broadcasting, and even after that!
As you can see, there aren’t big revelations or announcements, but there are some very interesting insights into the production process and the psychology of the characters! It’s also very apparent that the first ones to be shocked by such an abrupt ending are the voice actors themselves, and while it seems they don’t know anything about the future of Clear Card, it could also be that they know and can’t say yet. Only time will tell, what we can do in the meantime is to keep supporting the franchise and keep asking for a second season on the social networks (especially on NHK’s account, which is the producer)!

2nd
Poster illustrated by key animator Yoshiko Okuda that came with the July issue of Animage Magazine
3rd
From the official CD of the opening song: fripSide「Two souls -toward the truth-」
4th
Poster from the fourth Owari no Seraph season 2 DVD set
5th
Storyboard from Owari no Seraph episode 22, illustrated by Hiroki Shinagawa from the Seraph of the End Design Works
6th

Last one

These all came out while I was in the fandom so it really never crossed my mind that people wouldn't know they were official.
Rest assured, I would never post other people’s fanarts without permission, much less without source.
On the other hand y’all mistake FCC’s art with official art but don’t recognize the actual official ones. It’s kind of funny.
