Daredevil - Season 1 Review
You can be the one without fear that Netflix's rebooted Daredevil will disappoint. Season 1 #Review
At the San Diego Comic Con of 2014, Marvel supremo Kevin Feige proudly announced that Marvel was ‘done with origin stories’. There’s a delicious irony, then, that the first product of their new partnership with Netflix is an epic thirteen hour origin story of not just one major Marvel character, but two.
“Daredevil” takes us to the streets and dimly lit back alleys of the Marvel Cinematic…

Once Upon a Time...
The cursor blinks. The goddamn cursor blinks. How cliche. But, what the hell, it's true.
What do I write here? How do I start off this new adventure in blogging called Tumblr? Where the hell did they get that name from anyway. Where the hell did I get, "Chronicles Aboard The Timeship Beethovenia"? Fuck it, here goes.
Once upon a time, on January 30, in the year nineteen-hundred and sixty-nine, inside of a hospital in a small New England city called Danbury, a baby boy was born. His parents names were Luis and Mercedes (as in the car, which itself was named after a Spanish woman). But I digress.
They called the baby boy, Angel, after his grandfather, and his uncle. Maybe not so much after his uncle, but it was more a matter of happenstance that his uncle too was named after his father, which was baby Angel's grandfather. As I mentioned earlier. But here I go, digressing again. The boy would someday grow up to be King. Well, in his mind at least. What you are about to read, over the many long months, or who knows, years, will be the story of that boy. These are his chronicles, aboard the Timeship Beethovenia.

Diner Americana
Photo taken at the New Holiday Diner in Danbury, Connecticut, USA.
If you want a genuine American dining experience—hell, if you want a true American experience, period—don't go looking for it in some fancy restaurant, go to a diner; where people from all walks of life most often go to feel free to be their true selves. It is a place where the food can range from reasonably palatable to delightfully comforting. The American diner can be the asylum of scoundrels, as well as a refuge for those too tired and weary to put on masks of pretension.
