I don't think damon would ever be able to sell out the traveler to Zovack. Even if the crew hadn't immediately shut him down. If you encourage Ryona to shoot Vexx on Cursa Damon immediately is like "hey no that's messed up" and that's after Vexx was out to kill him and is actively working against the crew. Damon's only an asshole when he knows no one will actually take his advice

“I’ve had not enough!”
Coss-posted on AO3- let me know if you enjoy it.:
"Come on Stowaway, you've had enough." The Captain sighed, taking the traveler by the elbow but they shook him off.
"I've had not enough!" They argued swaying slightly, as they turned, to fix Calderon with a glare. "Of this," they gestured vaguely toward him, "Of you, I've had enough." They clarified "but not of drunk, I mean drink."
"Is that so?"
"That is so. You," they jammed a finger into the middle of his chest. "You, drive me fucking crazy, and not in the fun way."
He raised an eyebrow at them.
"Just like that." They moved their finger up just an inch from his nose. "You just gave me the look and now I'm all pissed off. Nothin', I can do about it though." They stated, pulling their hand away with a shrug. "Nothin' 'sept to drink." They swirled their drink and then downed what remained in the glass with three large gulps. "Fuck that's gross." They added slamming the cup back on the counter. "I need another one."
"You really don't," Calderon stated, drawing their attention again.
"Ughhhhh." They threw their head back dramatically, barely catching hold of the counter before they fell backward. Calderon helped them steady themselves again but it only earned him another glair. "Why are you still here?"
"Mainly to prevent you from ending up dead in a ditch."
The Traveler scoffed. "You wish I'd end up dead in a ditch." They said to their empty glass. "Then I'd really be out of your way. No more causing trouble, no more using up your resources, no more useless stowaway."
He almost interjected but the traveler continued. "It's not like l really blame you for that." They sighed. "June, and Aya, and Ryona, and Bash... They're nice. They feel sorry for me so they all wanna help. They're so fucking nice..." they nodded. "But it doesn't always do you good to be nice."The Traveler's tone was muted now. Clearly, they were too drunk to really manage what they said, but this was part of the sassy and energetic traveler that Cal had never seen. "You know that." they frowned. "As much as you piss me off, I don't think you're a bad captain. You look after your own and I can respect that."
With a small shake of the head and hand slamming on the counter. "All the same, I won't be giving you what you want. No dying in a ditch for me. Not yet. Even if that's not the right choice, even if it sucks, I promised."
They blinked, face drooping again. "I..." they steadied their head. "I think I promised... Or maybe I'm just too scared to die... Maybe that voice in my dream is just wishful thinking... Somebody who cares, who... Who sees something..." the words were said into the counter but they still hit Calderan like a punch. "Fuck I need another drink." The traveler raised their head and moved to the side, seemingly intent to call on the bartender, but, upon slipping off their stool, found their legs weren't in any mood to hold them up anymore.
Before they could hit the floor they were lifted up instead. Calderon had hooked his one arm around their shoulders and the other below their knees and was now carrying them away from the bar.
"Hey!!! What the fuck? Put me down," they wiggled and kicked the air.
"I will," Calderon assured them, "Back on the ship where you can sleep it off and live to regret your life choices tomorrow." He continued making his way out of the bar and onto the dimly lit street.
"Oh fuck you, you don't know a damn thing about my life choices. Hell. I don't even know a damn thing about my life choices."
"I know you're drunk off your ass, on a nearly lawless planet, being carried back to a mercenary ship, by a disgraced city guard."
Calderon supplied.
The traveler made a choking sound and for a moment he feared they were about to throw up all over him, but, catching a glance of their face, he realized they were biting back a laugh.
"Well," They giggled, "when you put it like that it does sound pretty bad." He, much more successfully, bit back a laugh of his own, settling on a smirk.
"Is that why you're bothering with me? To gloat about being right." They stated, suddenly not laughing at all anymore. It’s a perfect out, he thought. He would have only half-jokingly agreed with that statement an hour ago, but they studied him carefully from their place in his arms. Hands limp against his chest from their earlier feeble attempts to escape and, for the first time he could recall, they weren't a stubborn, defiant, stowaway testing his nerves and taunting him at every turn. They weren't the challenging, sharp-witted, firecrackers that refused to flinch in the face of a clear and direct threat and always played the cards they were dealt either, never seeming to expect anything better. They looked at him, and their eyes were filled with pain, and fear, he was certain they never intended to show. Something in him broke to see it, to realize he had glimpsed it over and over but had never taken it for what it was.
"You're not useless," he stated softly, stopping to be sure he could look them directly in the eyes. "You're clever, adaptable, and charismatic. I never should have said you were useless when I didn't even know you at the time, and I'm sorry I've let you believe I continued to think that."
They blinked their mouth, falling open slightly with an inelegant "huh?"
"You said you respect that I am willing to take care of my own, but you don't seem to realize that you are one of my own now. You're a member of this crew and I'm not going to let you get hurt just because you don't believe I care."
They were both silent for a few minutes as Calderon continued making his way back to the Andromeda Six. The look on their face was hard to read so he wasn't sure exactly what the traveler thought of his words. He tried not to dwell on it though. He didn't say anything that wasn't true after all.
"Cap’n," The traveler called softly.
"Yes?"
"Put me down." He looked down at them, the pang of worry that he had, in fact, said the wrong thing returning, but before he could respond their face twisted slightly.
"I don't feel so good." They said swallowing hard. They had barely been set on their feet when they crumpled over heaving violently. He managed to slow their fall but Calderon could do little but kneel beside them and prevent them from falling forward into their own vomit.
Eventually, the heaving slowed down and the traveler recovered taking slow and shaky breaths. Coughing occasionally and spitting out any remaining bile.
"You know..." They started meekly. "’at may be the only thing that tastes better comin’ up than going down." They were still shaking but they smiled weekly anyway.
Calderon didn't even try to stop his laugh, and the traveler let out a few chuckles of their own.
"A little better now?" He asked and they smiled softly.
"A little."
"Come on." He said picking them up once again. "Let's get you to bed."
"Mmm..." They chucked into his shoulder. "You're just all about getting me into bed." They mumbled.
He rolled his eyes, but still smiled softly to himself as they seemed to properly relax into his hold.
It wasn't long until their breathing grew soft and even, and their head lulled against his shoulder. He made his way back to the A6 and, as quietly as he could, to the traveler's room, depositing them gently onto their bed, removing their shoes, and spreading a blanket over them. The process was familiar to him considering the years he and Ayame had been friends. He knew to leave out a headache remedy and full bottle of water beside her bed, he also brought a second bottle of water, he hated the idea of having to wake them up from peaceful rest, something, Ryona had alluded, that was not easy for them to come by, but they just threw up quite a lot, and they would need to rehydrate. Gently he shook their shoulder, and their eyes fluttered a little. Calderon helped them sit up, and they only gave a mild groan of protest.
It didn't take any convincing to get them to drink the water. The way they took consistent slow sips with nibbles at the crackers in between, even in their drunken state, told him they were familiar with this process as well. That provided an odd mix of emotions. No one with a happy normal life gets drunk like she did, alone, not trying to prove anything to anyone. Even so, the fact that she didn't question being provided water and crackers gave him hope that she did have someone at least, someone who had taken care of them, who had been there for them. Then he pondered what might have happened to that person, considering where and how they had picked up the traveler, there was a good chance the person didn't make it out alive, but if they did, were they looking for his crew's favorite stowaway? Would the traveler remember them? Would they leave as soon as they did? Calderon shook off the train of thought, they would cross that bridge when (and if) they came to it.
When the traveler finished Cal took back the water bottle and packet, and the traveler laid back again. As he made his way out of the room he heard a sleepy voice.
"Thank you, Cap'n" the traveler slurred.
"Get some rest Stowaway," he replied before leaving them to sleep it off.

Wait, wouldn't it have made more sense for MC to wake up in the infirmary at the beginning of chapter 1? Correct me I'm wrong, I tend to forget things and don't feel like replaying right now so if there was a reason MC was being kept in that room instead of the infirmary I don't remember it. But like, y'know... The crew found them injured and unconscious after an attack. Even if Ryona managed to heal all their injuries somehow, shouldn't she still be taking care of them until they wake up???

Here Are A Few Things From Greek Mythology Which Not Only That Make Sense, But Are Actually Quite Briliant
1. The children of Ares (war, combat, bloodlust) and Aphrodite (beauty, sex) are: Eros (love), Anteros (requited love), Himeros (uncontrollable immediate desire), Pothos (longing desire), Harmonia (harmony), Phobos (fear) and Deimos (panic/terror); which are all of the emotions that can happen in a relationship between the foul-tempered abusive jock and the pretty girl. The ancient Greeks understood relationships.
2. Perseus is the son of Zeus. Why didn't Hera go after him or his mother? Because they're from Argos, and she's the patron of that city.
3. The story of Heracles states that Hera tricked Zeus into saying that the next king of Argos shall be the next male born. Of course, she manipulates events to happen so that Heracles's cousin Eurystheus is born first - thus making him the rightful king. But wait - Heracles has a twin. (Iphicles) So why go for his cousin, and not his fraternal twin to really rub salt in it with Zeus ("Hey, Alcmene's son is the next rightful king - Ain't no rule saying it had to be Heracles, haha!")? It makes a bit of sense actually - by making Eurystheus the next born child, she ensures that it's not Heracles. If she induced labour in Alcmene, there was still a chance Heracles could have been the first one born - and not Iphicles.
4. Why would the relatively amiable Hades kidnap Persephone to make her his bride? Well, according to some sources, he did that after asking Zeus for relationship advice. Given the fact that Zeus has raped and/or kidnapped plenty of women (and poor, minor Ganymede) just 'cause he felt like it, it isn't surprising that his advice would involve something like that.
5. Every source and most people tend to think Hades got the worst and Zeus the best of the deal when they divided up the world, but actually it's kinda balanced because all three of the brothers' domains come with some great perks. Zeus' is obvious, but consider this: Poseidon got the element that covers about two thirds of the planet, with earthquakes to boot, and for Greeks travelling by sea was something of a necessity, while Hades got all of the minerals and gemstones, and as many point out, the one biggest flaw of humanity is that the dead have always and will always outnumber the living.
6. Most stories of Andromeda mention that she was supposed to be eaten by a monster because her mother Cassiopeia blasphemed and made Poseidon mad by claiming Andromeda was more beautiful than the Nereids. All nice and good as the Nereids were supposed to be extremely beautiful, including Amphitrite, Poseidon's wife herself, but the thing comes in when you remember that the Nereids had a brother called Nerites, who was even more beautiful than them, and who was Poseidon's first serious relationship besides his wife. No wonder he got pissed off, she was badmouthing both his wife and his boyfriend!
7. There's some poetic justice in the fact that Narcissus, who saw himself as an unattainable treasure, got transformed into a flower — something that literally anybody can take and do with as they wish.
8. The anger the Olympians felt when they discovered Tantalus' crime makes even more sense when you remember that at least Hera, Poseidon, Hestia and Demeter (Hades wasn't present at the time) all know how it feels to be eaten by your own father.
For Hades' part, it certainly explains why he'd give Tantalus such a torturous punishment in the afterlife.
Made worse by Tantalus being the son of ZEUS.
9. Why are all the gods (save Hestia) prone to so much hypocrisy, violence, sexual assault, and abuse? Well, each god is typically associated with either an aspect of nature (such as the oceans, plants, weather, etc.) or emotions and biological reactions (bloodlust, love, sexuality). As such, the gods are less like people, and more akin to forces of nature; the gods, like nature, are indifferent to humanity, so sometimes they’ll harm people when they’re angry, reward people when they’re happy, etc.
10. Some of Typhon and Echidna's offspring, such as Cerberus, Ladon, the Caucasian Eagle and the Colchian Dragon were utilized by the Olympians in some way despite the fact that they were the offspring of their Nr. 1 Enemy. Sounds odd...but when you think about it, it's actually genius. It's an excellent way to prevent the monsters from running wild and destroying stuff, whilst simultaneously taking advantage of their destructive tendencies.
11. Why is Hades such a faithful husband (Leuke and Minthe were later Roman additions) when both of his brothers are pretty unfaithful? Well, Hades has a very important job that never seems to end. He’s in charge of the Underworld and since someone is always dying, Hades is always very busy which means that he didn’t have time nor interest in having affairs. Also many couples were likely to be together in death. Perhaps Hades saw through those couples what it means to be a good husband. It does help that Hades is also far more mature than his brothers.
12. Nyx is one of the few beings Zeus is too afraid to face, having let her son Hypnos get away with messing with him since he went to his mom. Why's he scared of her in particular and not other primordial deities like Gaea? Depending on the myth Nyx is the mother of many personified concepts, and that includes the Fates...aka the one force even gods like Zeus can't overcome. Imagine how outclassed Zeus'd be if he had to fight their mom!
13. Why is Hestia the least problematic deity out of all Olympians? Cronus ate five of his children, and she was in there the longest. Perhaps the reason Hestia is the sanest and nicest of the six Olympians is because she as the oldest was forced to mature faster in order to take care of her younger siblings while they were trapped in their father's stomach. Hades being the second oldest and first son similarly assumed this role as well. Then we have Demeter, then Poseidon, then Hera and Zeus. While not a perfect graph, you could graph 'reasonable behavior' as being tied to 'who spent the longest in his stomach'.

Writing Notes: Galaxies
Galaxies come in many shapes and sizes.
Some are spirals like our own galaxy, but others are fuzzy balls or shapeless clouds. The smallest have just a few million stars. The largest contain trillions.
Although they look packed with stars, galaxies are mostly empty space.
If you made a scale model of the Milky Way with a grain of sand for each star, the nearest star to the Sun would be 4 miles (6 km) away.
The furthest would be 80,000 miles (130,000 km) away.
The stars in a galaxy are held together by gravity and travel slowly around the galactic heart.
In many galaxies, including ours, a supermassive black hole lies hidden in the center. Stars and other material are sucked into this cosmic plughole by gravity and disappear forever.
Galaxy Shapes
Astronomers classify galaxies into just a few main types, depending on the shape we observe from Earth.
|| Spiral || Barred Spiral ||
Tumblr media
Spiral - A central hub of stars is surrounded by spiral arms curving out.
Barred spiral - A straight bar runs across the center, connecting spiral arms.
|| Elliptical || Irregular ||
Tumblr media
Elliptical - More than half of all galaxies are simple ball shapes.
Irregular - Galaxies with no clear shape are classified as irregular.
How Spiral Arms Form
The stars in a galaxy orbit the center, taking millions of years to make one circuit.
Spiral arms appear where stars pass in and out of crowded areas, like cars passing temporarily through a traffic jam.
One theory is that these traffic jams happen because the orbits of different stars don’t line up neatly.
Tumblr media
The Milky Way
If you could look down on the Milky Way galaxy from above, the view would be like flying over a glittering city at night.
Most of the galaxy’s 200 billion stars are in the central bulge.
Curving around this are two vast spiral arms and several smaller arms.
The Milky Way is thought to be a barred spiral (see panel), but we can’t see its shape clearly from Earth since we view it from the inside.
In the night sky, the Milky Way appears only as a milky band of light.
Colliding Galaxies
Sometimes galaxies crash and tear each other apart.
Individual stars don’t collide, but gas clouds do, and gravity pulls the colliding galaxies into new shapes.
Tumblr media
End of the Milky Way
In 4 billion years our galaxy will collide with the Andromeda galaxy.
This artist’s impression (above) shows what the sky might look like as they merge.
